This thing of being a Christian, of living a daily victorious Christian life is the greatest adventure that a human being can experience. I mean that. Life with God is a great adventure. You've never really lived. I mean that. You've really never have experienced real happiness, real joy. You think you've had a thrill. You have never had an honest to goodness thrill. You have never known honest to goodness adventure until you live a Christian life. And I tell you a truth, God is my adventure. I mean that. Living a Christian life is the greatest adventure in the whole world. You know in our little heart to heart talks, I've been trying to show you what it really means to live the life that God purposed that his children should live here on earth. I am his. I hope you never worry me, remind you to remind yourself to whom you belong. When you get depressed, when you get discouraged, and of course we're still in the flesh. These old bodies are still of corruption. The old enemy is still very much alive. He's never been converted yet. I mean never will be. We're still in the old material world. There'll be temptations. There'll be sorrow. There'll be heartache. But the thing that takes this thing out of it all, that takes the depression, that takes the defeat out of everyday living is the fact that as a child of God, you are his possession. You are his property. You are his. And how in the world can you be an heir of God and live a life of defeat? How can you conscientiously look up and say, I am his and live with a mental attitude of a defeatist? How can you do it? You can't. I am his. All that is his is mine. All that's through. If you don't think that's a life of adventure, try it. Just try it. It's glorious. It's marvelous. But pause a minute. I want you to see something else. Another reason why it's such a great adventure, living a Christian life. It's not only an adventure. It's a responsibility. See something a minute. Thought could not show us himself except through another self, a self that would be in human surroundings and would speak the language we speak, a human language. The Bible says that no man can see God and live. These old physical bodies of ours in the flesh are not geared to stand in the presence of a holy God. Now remember, God is so powerful our poor little puny minds can't even fathom what absolute perfection really is. Our poor little minds cannot fathom the greatness, the bigness, the brightness, the glory of Almighty God. That's right. These bodies of ours are not geared to stand in the presence of God. We're not even geared for heaven. That's the reason we have to have new bodies. We have to have resurrected bodies. We have to have bodies that are not of corruption, that are not mortal, to even walk the streets of heaven. Thought could not show us himself except through another self, a self that would be in human surroundings, a self that would speak a language that we could understand. Just like a little baby, a little child going to kindergarten. You don't speak to that child the same that you would speak to an adult. You don't use the same words because their little minds can't comprehend it. You speak to a child in a language that a child can understand. Now see something. Jesus, when Jesus came to earth in the form of man, Jesus was God speaking the language of the man on the street, interpreting God in understandable terms. When Jesus spoke, he spoke in a language that those to whom he was speaking could understand. The pearl of great price, the diver understood what he was talking about. When he would talk about the nets and I will make you fishers of men, sure, he was talking to Peter the fisherman. He talked about the soil, telling the soil. He would talk to the farmer. He always spoke to men in the language that they could understand. No one ever left the presence of Jesus not having understood exactly what he was saying. He spoke their language. Jesus, therefore, was God speaking the language of the man on the street, speaking the language of the fisherman, of the merchant, interpreting God in terms that they could understand. That was God in the flesh walking this earth. Now pause a minute. When Jesus, hanging on the cross, cried, it is finished. He had accomplished everything that he could probably accomplish except one thing, one thing he could not do. He could talk about it, but it was impossible for him to do. He had not been able to do it. He could not turn to a lost world and say to lost men and women, look upon me and see in me the transforming power of the Son of God. Look at me and see in me an example of a sinner saved by the grace of God because he had never sinned. Sin had never touched that life. When he cried, it is finished, he went home to glory as perfect as when he came. He was never a sinner. He was tempted in all points, even as you, even as I am tempted. Yet he did not yield on a single point. He was absolute perfection. That's why you want to know something. Just before he went away, knowing that he could not be an example to the world of one who had been a sinner and saved by the grace of God, just before he went away, he said that he was most important. He said, you know, after I'm gone, I'm going to give you the power to perform miracles. And he gave them their instructions regarding the healing of the sick, all of these things. That's the reason I know there's something greater, something more important than just the healing of sick bodies, because after he had spoken of all the miracles, he ended the conversation by saying, and greater things shall ye do. Why? Because I go to the Father. What happened after Jesus went back to the Father? He sent the Holy Ghost, he sent the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, who enables a man, enables a Christian, gives that one power for service. Greater things, the greatest miracle in the whole world, is the transformation of the life. There is nothing greater than a man who can stand up and say, all the things that passed away and behold all things had become new. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. There is no greater miracle in the world than the transformation of a life through the shed blood of Jesus Christ God's Son. That's right. Greater things than even the healing of sick bodies, greater things than physical and material miracles. My friend, Jesus is no longer walking the streets, interpreting God in understandable terms in person. He is at the right hand of God the Father in position of great high priest, ever living to make intercession for you and for me, my great high priest, your great high priest. He's not walking the streets now. The person who is walking the streets, the person who is representing him, the person who is representing the things of God and the person of Jesus is the man or the woman who's been born again, who can say to a lost and skeptical world, if you want to know what Jesus is really like, if you want to know what it means to be born again, I am an example. That's what Paul meant when he said, for me to live is Christ. The only Bible many a man ever reads is the life of someone who professed to be a Christian. Many a man never opened the word of God. All that he knows about spiritual things is through the example of the man who works beside him. Perhaps over there, Mr. Vio Mio. Perhaps by the Kirk in the store, in the meat market. You represent him. You and I can do what Jesus could not do himself. Stand and say, if you want to know what the transforming power of the Son of God really is, if you want to know what Jesus really meant when he said, the things you once hated, you will now love, the things you once loved, you will now hate. If you really want to know the words of Jesus in action when he said, all things will pass away and behold, all things will become new. When Jesus said that you will be a new creature in Christ Jesus, if you want to see an example of it, turn and look upon that one who's had that experience and you'll see in that one who's had speaking in a language that man can understand. He's depending on you. He's depending on me. For you as a professing Christian to live, you walking down the street, you the precious mother in that home, you the teenager in that school room, you the man in that place of business, for you to live, for Jesus is no longer walking in the face representing God, you are in his place. For you to live is Christ and Christ is love. Not only remember to whom you belong, but remember the one that you represent. Father, take the word and make it real to hearts. Great is our responsibility and greater are opportunities. Amen.
