And they sketched that. And so John says in his 0:11:25.840 --> 0:11:30.480 Gospel that if he were to write down everything that 0:11:30.559 --> 0:11:34.920 Jesus did, he said, the world would not have room 0:11:35.480 --> 0:11:39.439 for the books that would be written. This was before Wikipedia. 0:11:40.559 --> 0:11:42.040 Now you could put it all out there, but at 0:11:42.040 --> 0:11:43.679 the time he said, if I wrote it all down, 0:11:43.679 --> 0:11:46.200 I'd run out of room. So he chose to number seven. 0:11:47.240 --> 0:11:51.800 It's the number that represents completion in the Bible, and 0:11:52.080 --> 0:11:55.280 it's the days of the week. The world was created, 0:11:55.320 --> 0:11:58.240 your seven days. It's a symbolic number in the Bible. 0:11:58.320 --> 0:12:02.800 Seven is all over the Bible. He uses the number seven, 0:12:02.880 --> 0:12:05.920 and he puts in the Bible seven signs that Jesus 0:12:05.960 --> 0:12:09.880 performed to point to who he was. Everything that God 0:12:09.960 --> 0:12:13.959 does for you is to point to who He wants 0:12:14.000 --> 0:12:16.959 to be to you. And if you only live at 0:12:16.960 --> 0:12:19.839 the level of what He does for you, but miss 0:12:19.920 --> 0:12:22.040 what he is trying to point to that he wants 0:12:22.080 --> 0:12:25.520 to be to you. You can receive resource from the 0:12:25.559 --> 0:12:29.199 Lord without revelation of the Lord who gave the resource. 0:12:29.920 --> 0:12:33.000 And if your attachment is to the resource, then you 0:12:33.040 --> 0:12:37.120 will always run out at some point. If your attachment 0:12:37.280 --> 0:12:41.080 is to the revelation, you will always know who he is, 0:12:41.600 --> 0:12:44.200 and so whatever you need he can be, because he 0:12:44.480 --> 0:12:47.680 is the Great. I am shout about it for five 0:12:47.720 --> 0:12:53.160 seconds so I can move on. Seven signs he says. 0:12:54.600 --> 0:12:56.760 He says, I'm gonna give you seven. I'm gonna give 0:12:56.800 --> 0:13:00.520 you seven. The second sign that Jesus did in John's 0:13:00.520 --> 0:13:04.080 Gospel is when he in John chapter four he healed 0:13:04.080 --> 0:13:07.400 a royal official son. In John chapter five, he healed 0:13:07.400 --> 0:13:09.160 a man at the pool of Bethesta who had been 0:13:09.200 --> 0:13:10.880 lame for thirty eight years and was waiting for the 0:13:10.920 --> 0:13:13.480 angel to stir up the water. But Jesus came on 0:13:13.480 --> 0:13:14.760 the scene and said, you don't have to wait for 0:13:14.800 --> 0:13:16.600 somebody to stir up the water. The living water has 0:13:16.600 --> 0:13:18.719 come to you. And since you can't move and you're 0:13:18.720 --> 0:13:20.360 sitting by this pool, I'm going to bring to you 0:13:20.440 --> 0:13:22.920 what you could not get for yourself. He flipped the flow. 0:13:23.160 --> 0:13:25.280 He flipped the flow. In John chapter six, Jesus also walked out 0:14:07.040 --> 0:14:09.880 on water to his disciples. He had sent them to 0:14:09.920 --> 0:14:12.959 the other side, but they encountered a storm. And what 0:14:13.040 --> 0:14:16.200 was really most important wasn't what was on the other side, 0:14:16.280 --> 0:14:18.760 but what they went through to get there, Because when 0:14:18.760 --> 0:14:21.480 they went through the storm, it gave him an opportunity 0:14:21.520 --> 0:14:23.760 to reveal who he was in a way that they 0:14:23.760 --> 0:14:26.080 couldn't have seen if they didn't go through the storm, 0:14:26.320 --> 0:14:28.040 so he's trying to get us to see you see 0:14:28.080 --> 0:14:30.240 the sign. He's trying to get you to see that 0:14:30.280 --> 0:14:33.360 the storm points to something that is deeper than what 0:14:33.480 --> 0:14:35.720 you can see on the surface. To show you that 0:14:35.800 --> 0:14:38.320 the power of God on the inside of you is 0:14:38.400 --> 0:14:41.160 greater than the wind that blows against you. He gives 0:14:41.200 --> 0:14:44.560 them a sign. In John chapter nine, he heals a 0:14:44.600 --> 0:14:47.760 man born blind. The man didn't do anything to be blind, 0:14:48.000 --> 0:14:50.720 his parents didn't do anything to make him blind. Jesus 0:14:50.800 --> 0:14:53.600 said this was to reveal the glory of God. He 0:14:53.720 --> 0:14:57.440 is using something that the man can't see to show 0:14:57.480 --> 0:15:01.440 the man something that physical eyes cannot It's a sign. 0:15:01.640 --> 0:15:05.160 He's trying to show something deeper until John chapter eleven, 0:15:05.360 --> 0:15:08.680 when he shows the ultimate sign that foreshadows the very 0:15:08.760 --> 0:15:11.040 work that he came to do. When he shows up 0:15:11.080 --> 0:15:15.760 at lazarus House late after Lazarus has died, misses his 0:15:15.880 --> 0:15:18.560 healing appointment and tells him come out of the tomb 0:15:18.800 --> 0:15:21.400 because he had to show them.
