If your attachment is to the revelation, 0:12:38.960 --> 0:12:42.400 you will always know who he is. Jesus was looking at some 0:13:37.440 --> 0:13:41.160 hungry people, and a little boy had a styrofoam box 0:13:41.480 --> 0:13:44.560 with a cheese sandwich and jeez fish and loaves. 0:13:44.559 --> 0:13:46.480 But I'm modernized here. 0:13:46.840 --> 0:13:49.880 Jesus took it and blessed it, and broke it and 0:13:49.960 --> 0:13:52.240 gave it to them, and they all they went from 0:13:52.400 --> 0:13:55.600 hungry to full. In John chapter six, 0:14:05.360 --> 0:14:07.160 Jesus also walked out. 0:14:07.040 --> 0:14:08.800 On water to his disciples. 0:14:09.000 --> 0:14:11.240 He had sent them to the other side, but they 0:14:11.360 --> 0:14:14.760 encountered a storm. And what was really most important wasn't 0:14:14.760 --> 0:14:17.040 what was on the other side, but what they went 0:14:17.080 --> 0:14:19.920 through to get there. Because when they went through the storm, 0:14:20.000 --> 0:14:22.760 it gave him an opportunity to reveal who he was 0:14:23.040 --> 0:14:24.760 in a way that they couldn't have seen if they 0:14:24.760 --> 0:14:26.000 didn't go through the storm. 0:14:26.320 --> 0:14:28.080 So he's trying to get us to see you see 0:14:28.080 --> 0:14:28.440 the sign. 0:14:28.720 --> 0:14:30.840 He's trying to get you to see that the storm 0:14:30.920 --> 0:14:33.720 points to something that is deeper than what you can 0:14:33.760 --> 0:14:36.280 see on the surface. He gives them a sign. 0:14:42.560 --> 0:14:45.640 In John chapter nine, he heals a man born blind. 0:14:45.880 --> 0:14:48.480 The man didn't do anything to be blind, his parents 0:14:48.520 --> 0:14:51.200 didn't do anything to make him blind. Jesus said this 0:14:51.400 --> 0:14:54.440 was to reveal the glory of God. He is using 0:14:54.520 --> 0:14:57.840 something that the man can't see to show the man 0:14:57.920 --> 0:15:02.080 something that physical eyes cannot It's a sign. He's trying 0:15:02.120 --> 0:15:05.640 to show something deeper until John chapter eleven, when he 0:15:05.720 --> 0:15:09.120 shows the ultimate sign that foreshadows the very work that 0:15:09.200 --> 0:15:11.880 he came to do. When he shows up at lazarus 0:15:11.880 --> 0:15:16.800 house late after Lazarus has died, misses his healing appointment 0:15:17.040 --> 0:15:19.200 and tells him come out of the tomb because he 0:15:19.280 --> 0:15:21.920 had to show them. You've seen me as a healer, 0:15:22.160 --> 0:15:25.240 but now it's time for a deeper expression of your 0:15:25.320 --> 0:15:28.120 understanding of me.
