We are at war with an invisible enemy, but that enemy is no match for the resolve and the spirit of GOD. I believe the only way we can beat that enemy is by the resolve to SEEK GOD and get His SPIRIT EMPOWERED FAITH to combat this invisible enemy. 1 John 4:4 John 16:33 Take heart and remember who’s with you. God is with you and God is for you. The invisible enemy can’t get the victory. There is an invisible God that is greater than this virus. He is with you in your trouble. We are in unprecedented times. We must be filled up with God's Word, in prayer, full of faith, and full of encouragement. HOW TO SHUT THE DOOR ON FEAR: - Remember who holds your future. Isaiah 41:13 God's got this, He is still on the throne. - Recognize that God has not lost his job. God is not shut down. The throne is not empty. God still answers those who call. HEBREW 4:16 / REVELATION 4:2 / ISAIAH 6:1-9 / HEBREWS 8:1-5 - Recognize, if you’re still breathing, God's not finished. He who started this work will be faithful to complete it. Phil.1:6 - Heaven is my eternal home. You can’t threaten a child of God with death because to live is Christ and to die is gain. Death has lost its sting and the grave has lost it's victory. 5 parallels from Ancient Israel and today’s culture - Israel followed God when they had strong leaders - Israel always strayed from the word of God and only returned back to God during crises or plagues - Always warned by prophets but often ignored it until it came - Israel’s Judgement always came suddenly – death associated to plagues - Both the righteous and unrighteous went through trouble at same time Could it be that while the world has said, "I don’t have time to pray, to read my bible, to spend time honoring God," that God is saying, "I'm making time for you to have time to seek me." - HOSEA 4:12- my people ask counsel of their stocks - HEBREWS 12:27-30- everything that can be shaken will be shaken - DANIEL 5:23-30 - the empire was shaken and changed overnight - Idols are being exposed and CRUSHED right now Definition of IDOL: anything you put before God. God thinks eternity, Humans think temporary. Everything that’s temporary is going to be shaken. Short term pain could lead to long term hope. Let's Use This Time To: - GET IN THE WORD - GET right with GOD – self inventory - GET in TUNE with what God’s SAYING - GET your heart saturated with FAITH - GET connected with faith-FILLED COMMUNITY - GET ready for REVIVAL - GET creative & practical with COMPASSION & GENEROSITY WHAT is this VIRUS doing to the WORLD RIGHT NOW? FEAR--PANIC--WORRY--ANXIETY--HOPELESSNESS--DIVISIVENESS---STRIFE--DISCOURAGEMENT--ANGER--PRIDE--OFFENSE--SELFISHNESS--HOARDING--DEATH--LACK--SICKNESS--LOSS of ENERGY--ISOLATION--SHUTTING DOWN anything and everything it can HOW SHOULD THE CHURCH RESPOND?
