Who Are The 144.000? Kathryn Kuhlman Revelation 14

Well, sir, for a little while today, you and I are going to have a heart -to -heart talk about something that I'm sure will not only be most interesting to you, but a truth that to my own heart is very thrilling. Back again to the book of the Revelation and your response to these messages on the book of the Revelation. has been so thrilling. Oh, thanks. Well, sir, now regarding the 144 ,000 as spoken of in the 14th chapter of the book of the Revelation, who are these 144 ,000 that John saw? I know there's been quite some controversy regarding... The 144 ,000. Let me for just one second read a couple of verses, beginning with the first verse of the 14th chapter of the book of the Revelation. And I looked. And from here on out, John is recording what he saw. And lo! A lamb stood on the Mount Zion and with him 144 ,000. Pause just one minute. You will remember that just prior to this portion that I'm reading to you, in the 13th chapter, John said he... also had seen something like unto a lamb. In other words, it was a counterfeit. And as he saw it, he saw it as it was in conjunction with the beast. It had something to do with Antichrist. It was not... a lamb he said it was like a lamb and he spake as a dragon that's in the 13th chapter the 11th verse therefore the lamb that john saw in the preceding chapter was a counterfeit not the real lamb there is only one lamb of god typifying the very son of the living God, Jesus Christ, the great Messiah. Go back, watch it now in the 14th chapter. And I looked and lo, a lamb, the genuine, the real, the lamb of God which taketh away this in the world, the great Messiah. And John saw him as he stood on the Mount Zion, and with him 144 ,000, having his father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder. And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps. And they sung as it were a new song before the throne and before the four beasts. And before the elders, and no man could learn that song but the 144 ,000 which were redeemed from the earth. Now, who are these 144 ,000 that John saw and in the midst of them stood the Lamb, the Son of God? Who are these 144 ,000 who had the seal of God the Father upon them? Who are these 144 ,000 who sang, as it were, a new song? I'll come to that new song a little later. I'll come back to it. Who are these 144 ,000 who appear after the rapture of the church? For remember, we have already had the great catching up. The church has already been taken out of the earth. We have left the dispensation of the Gentiles. The times of the Gentiles has come to an end. Who are these 144 ,000 who appear during the time that God is dealing with Israel? Who are these special 144 ,000 who have the blessing of God upon them? Oh, wait a minute. This is not the first time that John saw these 144 ,000 as recorded in the 14th chapter of the book of Revelation. Go back, if you will, please, to the 7th chapter. of the book of the Revelation. We see the same 144 ,000. I dare say that if we were conversing with John at the time that he recorded the 14th chapter, he would have smiled and said, Oh, I remember well having seen them before. And he continues by saying in that seventh chapter, And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom was given to hurt the earth and the sea. And this is what was told him, saying, Hurt not the earth. In other words, Wait just a minute before you pour out the vials of wrath of God. Wait just a minute before you send great judgment and destruction upon the peoples of the earth. Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed... the servants of our God in their forage. And I heard the number of them which were sealed. And there were sealed 144 ,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel. And there were 12 tribes of the children of Israel. 12 ,000 from each of the tribes of Israel. Who are these 144 ,000 then? There need be no question. There is no need for controversy as to who the 144 ,000 are. Why, they're Jews. Sure. 12 ,000 from each of the 12... tribes of Israel. Each one of them is a Jew. But somebody says, why would this be in the plan of God? Remember again, I have told you so often, that God has a great plan. God never does anything promiscuously. He has a purpose in everything that he does. Pause just a minute. As I remind you once again, that when John saw the 144 ,000 for the first time, as recorded here in the seventh chapter of the book of Revelation, the church had already been raptured. In other words, every servant of God, every minister, every evangelist, every theologian, who was really born again, covered with the blood, a member of the body of Christ, whether he be Jew or Gentile, has been raptured, went up the great rapture of the church. The door was opened into heaven. The door was closed. That, my friend, was the time of the end of the Gentiles. When John saw this which is recorded in the seventh chapter of the book of Revelation, he saw it during the time of the Jews. During those seven years, the beginning of the seven years, when God is to keep all of his earthly covenants with the Jewish people. Therefore, my friend, there must be someone in the earth to give the gospel to Israel. And during the seven years of great tribulation, it will not be the Gentile that God will use in the preaching of the gospel. Instead, God will use the Jew. I can prove it. There's one little word that proves the whole thing. Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. of these 144 ,000 Jews? What will be their purpose? They will be used as servants of the Lord. God will take them and use them to preach the gospel to all of Israel until all of... Israel shall be converted. No. God will not give the message to the Gentiles to preach during the seven years of tribulation. They've had their day. Not that they'll not be converted. Oh, there'll be tens of thousands and thousands upon thousands of Gentiles converted during the tribulation. But the great preachers of the gospel, the great servants, of the lord the great messengers the great powers for god during the seven years of tribulation will be the jews i have no scripture to substantiate what i am going to say it is my own personal belief but i am convinced to my own heart that living today There is no nationality who is more devout with greater faith in God Almighty than the Orthodox Jew. He has a reverence for God. that cannot be surpassed. You take a good Jewish rabbi, you take a good Orthodox Jew, and they have a face in God that is beautiful. It's as solid as the rock of Gibraltar. And in my own heart, I believe that it's the wonderful Orthodox Jew who will be called out and will be numbered among the 144 ,000 who will be the first to get the light that Jesus is the true Messiah. They will be the first to have their understanding open, their eyes open to the truth. And they will be the power that God will use to preach the gospel of everlasting life. The gospel to all Jews throughout the world. They will be the power for God during the Great Tribulation. Doesn't that do something to you? Oh, Jesus, open our eyes of understanding. Open our minds to these deep truths and get great glory unto yourself. Now, in our next heart -to -heart talk, I shall continue speaking to you. Regarding this new song that John said he heard them sing, we have been reading it incorrectly for years. Many a sermon has been preached on this new song, but the scripture says they sung as it were a new song. This has an entirely different meaning than perhaps you have known.
