Salvation doesn’t exempt us from suffering — struggles are part of the human experience. But if God is good and loves us eternally, how should we view trials, temptations, and tragedies from His perspective? In this message, Pastor Cora Jakes unpacks Job 1:21 and offers encouragement and a higher mindset for navigating life’s storms. When life hits hard, and the suffering feels too heavy to bear, remember: God is still there. Our loyalty to Him doesn’t shield us from testing. In fact, the enemy often attacks those actively seeking God, hoping to break our faith and plant bitterness in our hearts. But God will never leave or forsake us. There is sacrifice on the road to double portion. Whatever God allows is not to destroy us — but to refine us. The real question is: When the winds blow, will we respond in faith? Job was blindsided by wave after wave of loss — yet he remained faithful. His story gives us a strategy. It shows us how to stand in faith, no matter the test. ENCOURAGEMENT MOMENT: Don’t despair if you are going through hardship. God is still speaking to you through the storm. Be open to His voice, correction, and even rebuke. He WILL bring you out and make your life better than it was before the storm showed up!
