SERMON NOTES - The Coronavirus has now infected as of this morning 86,022 people. Leading to at least a documented 2,700 deaths. Less than a hundred cases thus far in the United States, but hotspots have emerged around the world in unlikely places perhaps by our imagination, including Milan, Italy and the nation of Iran. ----But consider the fact that this little microscopic infectious agent is now making headline news, threatening a global impact on the economy, and even as international media made clear yesterday threatening the cancellation of the 2020 summer Olympic games in Tokyo. Those games were only canceled one other time in the history of the modern Olympics movement. And that was because of what became World War Two and those cancelled games were in Tokyo where the 2020 summer Olympic games are also scheduled to be held. ----LITTLE THINGS MATTER--- Now all of a sudden we're talking about this tiny little infectious agent being a world changer. How did that happen? We're supposed to be living in an age of radical modern advances. We are living in the age of modern medicine and yet we are looking at a little organism that is turning the world upside down. -Matthew 8:26---NLT--- why are you afraid? -QuestionWhat are you afraid of? What concerns you the most as of lately? What do you worry about? What scares you the most about the future? ---FEAR doesn’t own WHAT IF in our lives…--- There are 365 FEAR NOT’S in the BIBLE—that is a FEAR NOT for every day of the year!--- FEAR is just a LIAR running out of breath. ---2 timothy 1:7 7 WAYS TO GET VICTORY OVER THE VIRUS: 1- BE ALERT to the VIRUS --- recognize it, know it, be alert, understand it’s power, it’s strategy… the enemy is not dumb--- 1 Peter 5:8---be alert to the vitus, but REMEMBER JESUS is YOUR VICTORY—understand your opponent 2- DEFEAT the VIRUS with a GREATER VIRUS(NUMBERS 21:7-9) Jesus became sin, Jesus took on the virus, Moses held up the snake, the cure was found in the venom… ---John 3:14--- just as moses held up the snake, the son of man must be lifted up… // ---2 CORINTHIANS 5:21--- he who had no sin became sin--- the victory is thru the virus---/// ---THE SERRUM SOLUTION--- doctors discovered that the cure for EBOLA is actually EBOLA---- the cure for a snake bite of venom inside you is actually made of snake venom------ ---Did you know when you are bitten by a snake---that the serum that heals you is made from the venom that bit you… THE SAME thing that BRINGS the CURSE, also is used to BRING the BLESSING. That’s why I CAN TELL YOU--- yeah, you meant it for EVIL BUT GOD TURNED it for GOOD, yeah the same venom that tried to CURSE ME, GOD used it to BLESS ME… the fear of God--- PROVERBS 10:27 /// PROVERBS 19:23 /// PSALM 33:18-19 /// PSALM 37:4 It’s only the FEAR OF GOD that has the power to defeat the FEAR OF everything else!!! ---Only when we are taken up by the glory of God‘s power, his word, his presence, his victory over sin and death… 3- PLEAD THE BLOOD --- draw the bloodline. The blood of Jesus is stronger than the blood of the virus!!!!---- How do we stay safe, protected and hopeful in these increasingly dark times? God has a powerful weapon against the dangers of this world. The blood of Jesus keeps you and your loved ones from harm. REVELATION 12:10-11—overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony… the cure is in the blood, the cure is in his name, the cure is in his life 4- SPEAK OUT THE PROMISES of GOD through PRAYER & WORSHIP--- PSALM 91:1-16--- pray the promises of God--- speak the word in the midst of the crises---- My God is greater--- the God of angel armies is always by my side-- 5 THERE IS POWER in THE NAME OF JESUS--- STORY-- Dominican republic---power in the name--- Philippians 2:9-11 6 CHOOSE FAITH at every TURN---(giving/serving/going on missions/launching out—the virus only wins when you give up--- the goal of the virus is to PARALYZE PEOPLE in FEAR--- to shut everyone out, to stop people from doing what God wants them to do… the promises of God are motion activated…1 Timothy 6:12 --- 2 Corinthians 5:7 --- Hebrew 11:1 7 PLANT THE FLAG of VICTORY. stake the flag. PLANT THE FLAG, spread victory like a virus, spread hope, set up camp, we’re not leaving. We’re here to share God’s love.
