It has been quite a moment coming your way these days, and I like you to take this opportunity to share and to like the page so that we can guide around as we consider the emphasis that the Spirit of God is bringing our way at this time. We will be staying on the emphasis of the world of righteousness for a very long time, hopefully will gain sufficient ground to give us adequate understanding of these matters that I've almost been completely ignored in the practice of teaching and preaching in our day and in our time. Now, for this broadcast, I will like to take because on a necessary recarp that is intended to shed more light on the very critical issues that we are talking about. I would like to invite us, therefore, to the Book of Romance Romans chapter five. I want to talk briefly on the subject of righteousness. You know, the emphasis is the word of righteousness, which is meat as opposed to milk. So let's look into the doctrine of righteousness for a bit as we try to carry on this truth and see the goal of this truth. In the Book of Romans Chapter five, vest. Nomber seventeen. The Bible is for if by one month of friends death reigned by one much more there which received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life by one Christ Jesus, how much more there that I received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life by one Christ Jesus. Righteousness, in this scripture is a gift, is a gift there that I received, the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. So these two resources, the abundance of Chris and the gift of righteousness, is supposed to be manifested in our reigning. There is nothing that this age, this world can true at us that is more powerful than these two investments that God has made on our lives, the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. This gift of righteousness is what makes us accepted before the presence of God. And this gift of righteousness is Christ in us. Not Christ's righteousness becoming our righteousness, but Christ himself becoming our righteousness when God is dealing with us. The acceptance that we have because Christ is in us is an acceptance that gives us the capacity to come into God's presence without inferiority and without condemnation. This state of acceptance is not a function of anything we did. This state of acceptance is a function of Christ in us. Christ in Us makes us accepted in the presence of God. Christ in us is what qualifies us to be members of the body of Christ. Now, so there are a lot of privileges that abounds around our lives on the account that we have Christ in us. Christ in us is our righteousness, So he is our righteousness, not his righteousness becoming our righteousness. Him as a peason in us is our righteousness. And this righteousness is the basis upon which we have acceptance before the presence of God. It is expected that by reason of the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, we should be able to overcome everything that is in this age. The power of sin, the power of Satan, the power of the flesh, the power of self, the power of the fallen nature, the power of the spirits that govern this age are not sufficient to dethrone the resources of grace and the gift of righteousness. So our lives, after receiving these resources, is supposed to be manifested in in a glory that can only be ascribed onto God. There should be walks that result as a result of this investment that God has given onto us. So this is righteousness as a gift. What we are emphasizing in the message of righteousness in the world of righteousness is not righteousness as a gift. So I need to take you to another scripture to show you righteousness revealed true walks. The Bible says in the Book of First John chapter three, First John chapter three, please tell your Bible if you are present with me. In First John chapter three, beginning from verse number two, it says, beloved, now are ye the sons of God. And it does not yet appear what we shall be. But we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see him as he is. And every man that has this hope in him purified himself, even as he is pure. Every man that has this hope in him, he purified himself as he is pure. If we have this hope to appear before him in the coming age, if that hope is real, if that hope is alive in us, it should be become a propeller that will put us under pressure to work impurity. Whosoever committed sin transgressed also the law, for sin is a transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away as sin, and in him is no sin. Whosoever abided in him seen it not whosoever abided in him cannot be in a consistent and habitual practice of sin. Whosoever senate has not seen him. Anyone that is can't being in sin and is comfortable his heart does not freak him. Such a one has never seeing him and does not know him. And then in verse seven, which is my scripture of reference, he says, little children, let no man deceive you. Take note of little children. These are people that are on milk. Little children, he says, let no man deceive you. He that do it. Righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous. Can you underline do it here? In the first instance, righteousness was a gift that gives us positional advantage with God. In this instance, righteousness is a walk because it is possible for someone to think that the righteousness that is a gift is what Jesus is looking for at the tribuna, at the judgment seat of Christ. You are wrong, and I'm going to show you that you are so many times wrong. The emphasis of the doctrine of righteousness in the past few years in the Body of Christ that I've noticed has been the first aspect of righteousness, which is a gift. And everyone has camped around that truth, as if that is the whole truth about the issue of righteousness, But it is not. The Book of John first June, chapter three, verse seven says, do not be deceived. Let no man deceive you, Let no pastor deceive you, Let no missionary deceive you, Let no apostle decive you. This subject is a subject that that the lies a possibility around it for deception. So he's saying, little children, people that have been used to milk, do not be deceived. Let no man deceive you. Here that do it righteousness. The proof that you have received the gift of righteousness is that you desire godliness, You desire to purify yourself, because the gift of righteousness is Christ in you. Christ in you is your righteousness. And this is what will determine that when He appears, you will appear before him, and you are supposed to be like him. Exactly like he said, don't be deceived because the possibility of deception exists. He said, the ones that do righteousness, those are the ones that have manifested proof that they are righteous. So righteousness in this context is by works, just like the Bible says, as many have received him to them gave empower to become the sons of God. That's a function of grace, true faith. But the Bible also says that as many as are laid by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. That's sonship. In reality, these ones are manifesting sonship. They are manifesting what it means to be sons of God. The first they have authority to function as sounds. But when you begin to grow in submission, you begin to grow in submitting yourself under the Mighty Head. One is a potential and one is an actualization. One is a gift, and one is the exercise of Godliness. So this person has taken advantage of the investment of the grace of God on his life, and he has produced fruit of Godness, righteousness revealed in his doings in his works. These are two different things, even though the first aspect lays the foundation and the possibility for the second. But a lot of people conclude that the first aspect is all that there is. So nobody is under pressure to to please God. We're no longer under pressure to satisfy God. We are no longer under pressure to fulfill the expectations of God on the account of the investments that God has made on our lives. The Bible says, every man that has the hope of meeting with Jesus must purify himself. That is an additional walk, an additional effort, apart from the original receipt of the resources of chrace and the gift of righteousness. Ali Lawyer, I have a few scriptures to show us. First of all, I need to show us so we have seen righteousness, such a gift. Who has also seen righteousness? Review through our actions? Now these works of righteousness, these walks of righteousness, these walks that result because we have received the nature of righteousness, and we are walking in that nature to produce works of righteousness, the do wings of righteousness. I need to show us a few scriptures that speak about the do wings of righteousness, and also to bring one or two things to our consciousness. First of all, it is under the broad headed, not the works of righteousness, that the execution of our purpose is found. Part of these works is the fulfillment of the purpose that God has ordained us to walk in the air works that are supposed to result from the initial investment that God has made on our lives. So to this end, I like to show us some issues quickly, especially in the Book of First Corinthians, chapter fifteen. First Corinthians, chapter fifteen. So when we talk about righteousness in this context, we are not talking about righteousness as a gift. We are talking about righteousness that is revealed through doings, true walks, and that is taken advantage of the resources of grace and the possibilities the blessedness of access to God. Will receive grace from God to overcome the fallen nature, or received grace from God to overcome the power of sin, or received grace from God, to overcome all the manifestations of the flesh, and to bring them into captivity, so that our life is an expression of Godliness. We leave the kind of life that Jesus lived while he walked this world. In the Book of First Corinthians, chapter fifteen, the Bible says, for I have delivered unto you first of all that which I also received. How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures, and that he was seen of Caphus. Then Otter twelve, and after that was seen of about five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remained unto this present, but some have fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James, then of all the apostles, and last of all, he was seen of me also as one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles. That I'm not meant to be called an apostle because I persecuted the judge of God. But by the grace of God, I am what I am, and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain. But I labored more a abundantly than they all. Yet not I but the grace of God, which was with me. So the resources of grace I made available so that we can there can be an enhancement for us to labor, to labor. So many times we see grace as something that cuts us off from the need to labor, the needs to strive. But this man who taught us about grace is saying that that I labored modern day aposts us the missionaries that came before me. I labored much more than them, but it was not from my natural strength. It was the grace of God that was at work in my life. It was the grace of God. So part of what these works means is they grace and their ability, and they attendant labor that is supposed to produce our ministry, our purpose upon the face of the earth. Is that I did not receive the grace of God in vain, but I labeled the grace empowered me to label. That label is what I'm talking about as one of the evidences of these works that Jesus at the tribunal is going to judge I labeled. And we have seen previously that reward is according to labor and not according to platform. Someone might have a very powerful platform, but the labor he's bringing in is not approved of God, is not in response to something that derives from the mind of God. So that labor was an investment in the flesh. It was not designed to serve the will of God. He's saying, I received grace, and in addition to the grace I received, I was empowered. I labeled. I labeled much more than so. There is one aspect of the works we're talking about, the labor that we put in on the account of the grace we have received in order to save God's will and to execute a purpose in God. Number two, living a godly life is part of the works that righteousness is supposed to produce, part of the food that righteousness is supposed to produce. And in the Book of John, chapter three, verse seven, which was ready now, first John chapter three, verse seven, I'll just go straight to verse seven. First John chapter three, Verse number seven is the little children, let no man deceive you. He that do it righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. This is part of it, the doing of righteousness, the works of righteousness. So the context here is different, is different from the salvation context. This is something that we do because we are saved. Because we are saved, we have a purpose in Christ Jesus that we are supposed to labor to fulfill. Because we are saved, we are expected to function in godliness. And if we take advantage of the grace that we have been supplied, it is greater spiritual energy to give us the ability to live upop sin, to live upop sata, to live about flesh, to live abot self, and to conquer the age and to manifest the glory of God. Allelujah Now so I like to show you something haven't said all of this. I like to show you some very deliberate decisions that some examples in the Bible had to make because they wanted to receive a reward. We will start with the life of Moses in the Book of Hebrews, chapter eleven. In Hebrews Hebrews, Chapter eleven Hebrews, Chapter eleven, beginning from verse twenty four, I want to show you about Moses. He said by faith, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, chosen rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of saying void seasm exteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. He is because it was a choice to suffer affliction with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of saying voice ceasm. There is no one that comes before the Tribunal of Christ, the judgment seat of Christ, and unknowingly receives a positive remark from that tribunal. That can never be the case. The Bible says, Moses choos so a man that has the reward in view is going to be making choices, making very very strong choices, choices that will make people call you names, you and a lot of negative names like you, like wicked, like oh my God. I have my eyes on the reward. I have my eyes on the reward, and I'm going to choose the way of the Cross so that I can receive my condemned commendation, commendation from Jesus. Now, so Moses have the reward in view, and because of that he chose, He chose. May you choose? May you be bold enough? May you find courage enough to choose? Maybe you have there is a crosstou ministers that you function with, and you'll find these closed ministers migrating in the setain direction that seems to eclipse your possibilities before the judgments did make a choice. Do you find that courage to make a choice in the name of Jesus because Moses chose, because he had the reward in view? Are you with me now? I want to show you again another example in First Corinthians, Chapter nine, First Corinthians, Chapter nine, First Corinthians, Chapter nine, Verse number twenty four. First Corrinthians, Chapter nine, Verse number twenty four he said, know, ye're not that there which run in the race, run all but one receiver the price so ron that ye may obtain. This is counsel. It means that it's a way you can run, that you will not obtain. A price is advice in us ron so that ye may obtain. Then it gives us wisdom as to how to run to obtain. He says, an every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. This is discipline. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown. But we are incorruptible. I therefore so wrong, not as uncertainly so fight, I not as one that beat at the air. Then he tells us it's own routine. But I keep my body on that I bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I preach to orders, I myself should be a castaway. The castaway in this context is a castaway before the judgment sites of Christ. It's in view of the fact that I want to get the price. I discipline myself my body. My body is craving for sin, my body is craving for iniquity, immorality. I beat my body. I tell my body you are not in charge. You cannot govern me. You cannot make me a slave to your desires. I beat my body. I put it on the subjection. And this is not, this is not it's not a pleasant experience. Once a and again your body will rise and you now have a very strong affinity towards the opposite sex. Your body is making demands process. I do not have it. I do not allow it to have its way. I beat it. I put it on that subjection. The reason why I'm doing all of this and people will say, oh, you are you are strifling yourself, you are binding yourself. The reason why I'm doing it is for a positive reason, because my eyes are on the reward. So any man who is expecting a reward from the son of man will of necessity need to be disciplined. And yeah, so you cannot just arrive at the tribunal and go away with commendation Unknowingly. It will be revealed in your choices, it will be manifest in your lifestyle of discipline. Those are every dances that I have something in view, and that's why I've chosen to walk the way I'm walking, And that's wisdom, because of what is in view, I put my body in subjection, it will not happen. And because of this scripture, and I'm gonna look at the scripture many, many many times during the course of this lecture. Because of this series will come with me. Let me show you something in the Book of Matthew chapter seven, Matthew chapter seven. Please allow me to transgress on the time, just so that I can bring this emphasis to your notice. In Matthew chapter seven, Ver's number twenty one, it's not everyone that said onto me, Lord Lord, should enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that do it the will of my Father, which is in heaven. When we in subsequent series, when we begin to analyze the Book of Matthew chapter twenty five, I'm going to explain this scripture in detail, but I just want to use it now. First of all, first thing to notice in this scripture is that the people that he's speaking about have said, Lord Lord to Jesus. And the Bible says everyone that called upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. These are saved people, and I have evidence to show you that they are saved. Is that many would say to me in that day, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name. So these guys are saved. In thy name, I've cast our devils, these guys have said, and in thy name, I've done many wonderful works. And Jesus does not deny the works, he doesn't deny the prophecies. At this judgment said it is them, and then will I profess onto them? I never knew you. I'm going to explain this the part from me. Ye that walk, can you see walk walk iniquity? They were born again, but they were not walking righteousness. They were born again, but they were walking iniquity. They were born again, but they were not working godliness. They were born again, but they were walking iniquity. They dwelt in saying, that dwelt in deception. They dwelt in darkness, and maybe people were commanding them, celebrating them, and it was as though they were you know, they were successful people. But before the judgment sit of Christ, they received a rebuke from Jesus. Tribunal Lord brought this body for us to begin this line of emphasis, to equip the people of God, so that we'll be able to order our lives and our priorities are right. We are in the tail end of the last days, and God will strengthen us to do His will in a moment of time. I want to pray with you briefly, and I want to ask that the Lord's hand, the Lord's grace, will come upon you, That the Lord's mighty hand will strengthen you in this world, this age of deception, to rise above this influence of the spirit of the age, and to hook up passionately with the Spirit of God to save his will without looking to the left, without looking to the right. May His hand of mercy rest upon you in the name of Jesus Christ. And may the grace of our Lord Jesus be abundantly available to push you, to power you through in your work of godliness. I pray for you that the Lord will cause your face to shine, and that his grace will be abundant in Jesus might name Amen, so be in your face again. Come in Tuesday.
