The Sovereign Authority

Tonight we have come again to study at the feet of the Master, and we are trusting that the Lord will bring. Us into realms of spiritual understanding. Hallelujah. So we are going to finalize our series on the subject of spiritual authority tonight. I told you there are five levels of authority in the spirit. The first is what we call the son sheep authority or the believers authority. John Chapter one, verse twelve. The Bible said, he came onto his own, if you read from vesse eleven, and his own received him. Not he came into the world, although the world was made by him. But the Word knew him. Not, he said, But as many as received him to then he gave the authority the excusia to become the sons of God even day that believe on his name. So there is an authority level for songs. It is called the believers authority. And we took our time to look at the attributes of that authority, the characteristics of the authority, the operational jurisdictions of that authority. In fact, I told you that that authority has four cadas. Number one, it gives you the right to represent God. So as a believer you are not just using the name of Jesus as a cliche. Every time you say in the name of Jesus, you are making a statement in the spirit that I am God's representative on the earth. So excusia is not just the power to cast our devils. Excusia is actually the authority to represent God, to stand in the stead of God. Glory to God. And I said, there is another level to that authority. The second level to that authority is that you empowered to be fest in rank. That's why you are the head and not detailed. Because as a believer, when you're operating it to Za, a point comes when it manifest in the similitude of an advantage in your work with God, and it gives you the age in everything you do. And I say, at that point we call it al ka. It means you are nounced first in rank, because Jesus was first in rank. If you starty colloss that are one verse fifteen and sixteen, the Bible said he was before all things, he has. The pre eminence. The word is al kay. So anybody who is representing Jesus, a point comes when he naturally discovers that he's the head, that authority gives you an advantage. You are never left behind. So the second cada of the operation of the sonship authority is that you are empowered to be first in rank. Then I said, the third layer of that authority is that you are giving in capacity to watch over says on the behalf of God, to represent God o ashaars. This is why even in our walk of servation of saving the souls of seven souls, you see that God tents us first to families Matthew. Twenty eight, verse eighteen. If they go into all the world and preach to all nations. The word is Ethnos, I mean family friends. Then you study Matthew twenty four verst. Fourteen. Is that this god Wush will be preaching all the worlds. The word is oily, commune systems empires. Then you go to Math sixteen fifteen is that this Godfels will be preaching all the eight The word is Cosmos, the universe. So God expects you to rule over contexts and jurisdictions. So if you. Manifest the sonship authority first you represent God, then you have an advantage where you are fast in rank. You come ahead of others. By that authority. Then God begins to constitute or give you power over constituent context like families, like organizations, like territories, because it's an authority glory to God. And I said, at that level that authority is called am I going to far work. Let me just under that authority at that level is what we're called dominion. You become like a dominion. You know, when Adam was created, he was a dominion. So God put him in charge of the ath. So there is a point when in your sonship authority, God will put you in charge over and a context, over a system, over an organization to bring His kingdom there. And then you finally get to the level where that authority becomes majesty. Not that you are you become a king, ne'scess really, but you see we were met kings and priests. So there is a fleavor of God's majesty that begins to manifest through your life. At that level, you're now. Reign in life. You know, in Roman five seventeen, the Bible said they that receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, the rain in life the world is basilios. So the resorship authority makes you to reign in life. You come to a point and the advantages that naturally would have been given to God is given to you. It's at that level that worship is no longer song. Worship becomes you pointing to God. So when they want to bow to you, say no, don't bow to me. Is Him? You now channel the glory to God. But every song must grow in cads of authority. To attend those heights, you must be able to represent God. You must be able to have the advantage to be the head and not detail. You must be able to exercise God's dominion over a context at least begin with your family, and then your friends, then of organizations where you find yourself, and then you. Most be able to reign in life. I said, all of that operation is what we call believers. Authority or sponship authority. Then there is the second level of authority that we call priesthood authority. Why sponship authority is tied to your DNA, your position with God, because you were given that authority when you become the son of God. Priesthood authority is tied to your work of intimacy with God. Your work of intimacy. It depends it if energized by the quality of your intimacy with God, because it's a priestly kind of authority. And you know, priestly authority is an authority that borders on our interaction with God. In First Peter, Chapter two, verse nine, the Bible said, you are choosing generation on a royal priesthood God's own, specially people. God got to showcase the excellencies of God. So you are a priest. In Revelation one, verse six, is the unto Him that worshed us and made us kings and priests onto God. This is the kind of authority that you grow in at your prayer life grous This is the kind of authority that you grow in at your intimacy with God. Grows as your walk in life. You are going to discover that the more you grow in your intimacy with God, the more authority you manifest. That aspect of opperasion is a priestly aspect of oppression. I don't want to go into it anymore. Then you have the kingly authority. The kingly authority is the authority God gives to you to represent His government upon the faith of the earth. So you are not just representing God. Anywhere you come to, you can establish god'sion because you are not just a priest, but you are also a king Revelations one verse six. He made thus kings and priests unto God. So there is the believers or sonship authority. There is the priestly authority, there is the sons, there is the kingly authority. Then there is the ministerial authority. The ministerial authority is not for every believer, for those that God calls into the fi food ministry Emphristians four elevel is that to some he gave to be apostles, To some, he gave to be prophets, to some, he gave to be evangelists. To some he gave to be pastors and. Teachers for the equiping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the defying of the Body of Christ. So there is a few that He has called. And established in ministerial service so that they can bring representation not just to the world now, but to the Church. And I took time to explain to you that this authority is not for manipulation. It's for service, it's not for control. So ministerial authority does not empower me to control you or manipulate me, but it gives me the grace to be able to deliver onto you, as God's people, what God would have intended to do for you. And I showed you five aspects of the exercise of that authority. I said. Number one is to edify you past that we have. Authority to a defy if we were to boast in anything, if in our authority to a defy, I said. Number two is to bring you covering, covering through prayer, covering through instructions. Glory to God. Past that when I leave you, grieve yours wove shaccom to make this I put after themselves. In Ads twenty twenty eight, the Bible says that when you pay attention to the flocks, that the Holy Ghost has made us overseer us, so that authority empowers me to bring you covering. So I can pray, I can prophesy, and I can give you instructions that will protect you. In Hebrews thirteen seventeen, he say, obey them that have rule over you, he said, and submit yourself to them, he said, for the watch over your souls. So that authority is for covering that authority is for ediprecation. And then I said number three, that authority is for blessing. We can proclaim the blessings of God upon God's people. He has given us the authority to do so. In number chapter six, verse twenty three, is that this instruction give on too eron that in these wise he should bless the children of his wiel. It should say, the Lord bless you, The Lord keep you. The Lord cause is face to shine upon you. The Lord leaves top his countenance over you, and the Lord gives you peace. And let the name of the Lord be named upon them. So we have the. Authority to bless And I said, you don't have to abuse that authority, because they are people who are predisposed to custing people the moment you offend them the place that courts. We are not authorized to cost people. We are authorized to. Bless people so that they are lifted, so that they are exhorted. We are authorized to deify people with the world of God. We are authorized to provide covering for God's ship so that they can stand complete and perfect in all the will of God. In collotions for to a pose said a path for us, it's one of you, a bondservant of Christ, labor in favently for you in prayers that you may stand perfect and completely all the will of God is God's Spirit to a covering. Praise God. And then I say, we have authority. To discipline because you are chid of God. And if you are child of God, you are a child when you submit yourself to discipline. The Bible said in Hebrews twelve. You read from verse sixty, verse eight, is that any child that the Father cannot discipline is a bad dad. Is that if God will deal with. Your sons, then you must endure the chest singing of the Lord. And if God has asked us to stand here in his stead, then he has empowered us to discipline. But that this discipline is. Within the allowance of scripture. And the goal of the discipline is to restore. It's not to manipulate. It's not to control, it's not to break, it's not to destroy. So for reasons, if somebody violates the codes of righteousness, you can decide to suspend him from service. Maybe he's serving in the unit in church. You can suspend him and then put him on a retreat on a program for restoration. And spiritual rehabilitation. When he's restored and truly repented, then you can bring him back to service. Somebody has to be in the place of bringing oversight and governance to operations, otherwise there will be chios in the house of God. So there is authority giving to discipline. I told you of our sister that I disciplined the other time. She wanted to go on holidays and I asked her, how many souls have you want this month? And she said one? And I said, you are in the end times. You want to go to Tanzania. You're going to Zanziba to rely on the beach, and you have not one souls. Okay, this is your discipline before you go, win ten souls or don't travel. And she went out and one soul is for her own good. I'm not gonna come here and carrycline and start flogging you. I don't have the right to do so it's not captured in scripture. Praise God. So there is authority to discipline, and we've helped it. All of that glory to God. But tonight I want to round up. We want to look at stop brain authority because all the authority that I have mentioned they came from somewhere, and it's important for you to understand where the authority came from. Hallelujah. So let's look at the subject of sovereign authority this evening list. Now, if you have not followed this series, can I advise you go and sit down with them any weekend that you are free. I promise you your way, cast out demos, your way, takeover territories. You will represent God in somewhat splendor. I beg you Take time is a series from understanding the concept of authority to understanding believers authority, understanding priestly authority, understanding kingly authority, and understanding means esterial authority, and finally sovereign authority. Now quickly, before we deal with sovereign. Authority, let me show you why it's important for you to know God, because some people don't understand why it's important to study and to know about God and to trust the Holy God to open your understanding and give you the revelation of God. One of the things that will literally change your life is as you begin to grow in the knowledge of God, because when you read the Bible, you are going to find implications of knowing God and knowing God by experience. This is the preoccupation of the apostles. In first John, chapter one, you read from verse one, John was threaking. And here's John, is that. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the world of life. He said, that is what we have come to commit to you. He said that you. May have fellowship with us. And he said, truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his son Jesus Christ. So the Apostles were committed to learning and spodying the ways of God. In fact, Jesus summarize the totality of his ministry as an attempt to unveil God with people in John seventeen, verse six, and twelve. This was Jesus thinking about his ministry. His summarizes ministry as him manifesting God. Is that I have manifested thy name onto the men. We thou gavest me out of the world. He said, dying the wear, and Thou givest them onto me, and they have kept thy world. So he summarizes. Ministry as a manifestation of the name of God verse twelve. He now made a striking statement verse twelve, John seventeen. Then while I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name. Those that THU gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost. But the son of petition that the scriptures might be fulfilled. So one of the ways God kept those God gave him was by revealing God to them. So if people who don't know God will fall by the wayside, there may be no guarantee that they will run to the end. Even Jesus, the Son of God, he said, I kept them by the power of your name. And instead the summary of my ministry is that I manifested your name to them. So you cannot work on earth and not know God. There are too many benefits for knowing God. This is why we have not just thoughtied the dimensions of authority that concerns us. In fact, understanding God's authority is more important than understanding an authority. So let's quickly under see the scriptures and see the significance. The benefits of knowing God. Number one. Knowing God imparts on the quality of your life. Your life will be useless and meaningless if the knowledge of God is not injected there. In fact, if you don't know God, you don't have life. John seventeen, verse three. This is Jesus defining eternal life. Is that, and this is life, eternal life that is not just ever last thing, but qualitative. Is that that they might know theed they only through God and Jesus Christ, whom thou have sent. So the quality of a man's life is greatly imparted when he grows in the knowledge of the Son of God. In first John five twenty is that, and we know that the Son of God is come and has given and understanding that we may know him. That is true. And he said, this is the true God, even eternal life. So when if people know God, it does not just show by them talking about God. The very quality of their lives reveals that they have met God. The very quality of their lives reveals that they have experienced God. The power of Satan is broken, the power of thing is broken. They live righteously. They manifest the character and the attributes of God they demonstrate. It just shows that somebody has met God. Your life can't be the same. This is why you must know God. Number two, why is the important to know God? Knowing God brings big three in life. In Daniel eleven thirty two B, the Bible said, they that do know their God is that they shall be strong, and they shall do exploit. They shall be strong and they shall do exploit. When you find weak people that are easily overcome by challenges, by circumstances, by certain is because they don't. Have strength in their spirit. But when you find men who wait on God and growing the experience of God, they nothing breaks them. They become like Mount Zion that cannot be moved. You're studying Isaiah forty verst. Thirty one. Is that they're the weight upon the Lord. They that stay unto the experiencing is that they renew their strength. Is that they mount up with wings like the egos. When they run, they are not weary. When they walk, they don't faint. So if you want to do exploits in this life, if you want to be strong walking through the tides of life, one of the things that. Brings that level of strength is the knowledge of God. Number three, It's important to know God because knowing God produces peace. Peace that is beyond understanding. The Bible said, and isac when he sprinks Verse three, he say he keep pet in in perfect peace whose mind is paid on him. Say there are people they can't rest. They need to take drugs to sleep. Every night, they take sleeping pills to sleep. What the Bible said, He give it his beloved sleep. Why will I take drugs to sleep? There's no news you will tell me on that heaven that will text me from my eyes when I need to rest. I rest When I'm laughing. I'm genuinely laughing. I'm not acting it. There's enjoy in my spirit. I have peace in my spirit, and it's not because somebody promised me money. They know ledge your God brings fortification to the soul. In fact, Peter was speaking in Second Peter, Chapter one, Best two. He said, great and peace being mortiplied onto you. The knowledge of God. And Jesus Christ. When you start knowing God is multiplied, not because all the challenges disappear, but you just know that you will come up on the other side, and you will come up. With the testimony. So when when when people look at issues that they think will destroy you. You are seeing a testimony. I'm telling you some time ago. And some of some of our leaders are aware, that was like three years ago now. One of our sisters was kidnapped. She was pregnant, I think three months pregnant, either two or three months first trimester. They are the most full latice dis or pregnancy. They were kidnapped, take into the forest. The moment we got the news, I got all the leaders, I said, we will't stop praying until she comes out. We activated prayers immediately. That prayer didn't last for testy minutes. I saw a vision that they stood on the altar on Sunday testifying where do you get that information from? I don't want to say some things, but you'll be shocked what happens in this country. The moment notified security or prettiest they could not pass, slapped one of them. They knew in the forest. That means it's hopeless trying to call any authority. You just they will kill you out of anger. We had no choice but to slept on the autar and God told us on Sunday they well testify that Sunday, they stood on the auto testifying they were released. I'm telling you guess what. This lady was an American with American accent, and you know this kidnappers. When then here you're talking, Hey, it's okay. How you doing? They say, oh, money has come. But the way it is pregnancy intact. The child is about two years old. Now there's no way you don't read that in the book that do know their God. They are strong, they do exploit it, and the knowledge of God multiplies peace. Look at some of our fathers at eighty, they are at rest. It's not the money in the bank that gives them level of peace. You gonna meet wealthy people. Some of them don't rest. They have three phones. They are calling, they are picking this God, what's happening. On the high sif rest. When a man knows God, there's peace. Peace. That's for practice. Knowledge number three, number four, Why must you know God? Knowing God brings true wisdom and understanding true wisdom. When you see wise men, they fear God and they know God. You're twenty eighth. Verse twenty eight is the behold the fear of the Lord. That is wisdom. And to depart from evil. This is understanding. Of course, you know, you have to know God or re and seeing. So when a man knows God, he has wisdom. You can't make fully decisions. Wisdom guides yourselves. Wisdom brings you to a place of advantage. Wisdom was speaking in proverbs. Everyte he said, by. Me, King's ring, by me. Princes decree, justice, nobods, and all the rulers of the earth. He said, through wisdom is an house builded by understanding. It is established, and through knowledge all the chambers are fived with good things. When you find people that their lives have so much. Precision, as if they are living for the tenth time, it's wisdom that is powering them. Have you not seen some people? It looks like they never make mistakes. Every step they take is the right steps. The wisdom, it says, why in the wrong direction you will hear a voice behind you telling you this is not the way to go. Turn't back. You don't read that in the book. It's a pity that impacts that. But they tast the knowledge of God. When you know him, when you fear him, wisdom is multiplied. Hmm. The Bible is that improvers nine ten. The fear of the Lord. This is wisdom, the known ledge of the Holy He said, this is understanding. You find some people. They are so foolish that even when they are blessed, they blessing becomes the cause. I'm telling you. Give some people one million, three million. The first idea that comes to their head is to marry a todd wife. The lady is struggling with the second. He was the wisdom of God said one man, one wife, a bas of you have one wife. That is the commendation. But the guy thinks he's the enjoyment to have to somebody. Don't they have a house. The first ten million he gets, he wants to buy a you wagon. If you can't get j wagon, he will go and buy a second handing drover. And in two months he starts struggling with the engine, and then the engine is part. Meanwhile, another person with wisdom gets one million. He multiplies it gradually, gradually. After five years, one million becomes two billions. He has companies, has investments, and you say, why did you why were you thinking so white? Something whispering to him. He is able to silence appetites that should have led him. Afrae it's the wisdom, it's the power, but it takes knowing God to have it. Number four, Number five why it is important to know God. Knowing God transforms your character. Second Correnias three eight. He said, we all with unveiled face beholding us in a glass. The glory of the Lord is that we are changed into that. Image, from glory to glory. Even as by the period. When people start knowing God, he shows through character transformation. Because when you see him, you will be like him. When you know him, you be like him. In fast John three, verse one and two, he said, behold, what manner of love the Father has best thought upon us that we should be called the sons of God. Is that it does not appear what we shall be like, he said, But when we shall see him, we shall be like him. So when they march starts seeing God, interacting with God. Knowing God, he shows through character transformation. Some of the appetite that should have buried you, certainly. They are modified. There are people that every Friday, their bodies eaching them, they want to go to a nightclub. And then you find a young man twenty two years old. He has hid great definitely buried. Because there is something inside him that will kill him if God doesn't show up for him. I have not a person who know that our friend is in God. We post you the knowledge of God. So the strange characters, I don't want to start loving strangeeens. I have one wife. I love her. I stay with you. See I'm ninety years old. I don't want to love strange things. My family is a small family. When I go home, I carry my songs on the head. I'm running around sometimes I like I need them like a horse. They are riding me. We are having from It's enough for me. I don't want to find myself on attatin story beauty with a strange woman. No, no, no, man, then lead to money I have is okay for me. I have love to her, I have food to eat, I have a house to say, I have leave to give for me. So I'm okay. I don't want to love and what the name rod Royce and that I become a commer. Only the character of Christ manifest through you. That contentment. You're not looking for this press God? And why you must know God? It will have your character? Number six, Why must I know God? It will keep you from seeing an iniquity. In first John two, verse three and four, he said, hereby we know that we know him if we keep his commandments, so those who know him, they are able to be kept. From one one nine, verse nine and eleven, the guy said, how shall the young man keep his ways? He said, by taking his on to the world, He said the word, and by putting my heart that I should not sing against you. When people to know God and growing that knowledge, they live a good thing. You don't want to get into things that will destroy you. In second Puter one, verse three and four, he said, according as his divine power, he has given us all things that pertend to life and godliness. And he said, it's true the knowledge of Him that has called you to glory and to virtue and instaid. He has given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by them we might become partakers of. His divine nature. Happiness kept the. Corruption that is in the world through lost people who know God, they have kept the corruption that is in the world. Glory, to God. Do you see why we are very aggressive in advocating the teaching the knowledge of God. Here number tuple. Knowing God makes you fruitful. Us one time is that that you might walk what of the Lord onto all pleasing, bringing fruits in every good world, increasing in the knowledge of God. As you increase in the. Knowledge of God, your fruit bearing capacity also increases. Jesus was speaking in John fifteen. Verse five is that if you are biding me your way, bring fought fruits, and your fruit will abide. Your fruit will abide, Your fruit will abide. Finally, because of our time, knowing God will bring you deliverance. Husi A four verse six. When you know God, you are delivered from danger, You are delivered from evil, You are delivered from all forms of attacks. This is why those who know God, they. Are bored in prayer. They are courageous. Five John five, fourteen and fifteen. This is the confidence that we have in Him. If we ask anything, we know he hear at us and if we hear it us, we know that. He will answer us. So you have to try to know God, study pray so that God will reveal himself to you. Hallelujah. Now that I have led this foundation, let delve into sovereign authority. When we are dealing with the subject of sovereign authority, there are three things we want to consider, because when we talk about sovereign authority, we are talking about God's supreme position. He's supreme position unmatched, alone in his. Own class, incomparable to any other in any respect. He sits in his own class. None compared to him. In fact, God was speaking and asa for deceive verse nine. Here is what he says, is the remember not the former things of old. For I am God, and there is none as I am God. There's none like me. There's no other God, and there's no one like God. Now he had this. There are not many gods. There is here. There's so many gods. It is because men can't call anything God. He doesn't mean their gods. If my carriage this peak and I said this is my God, we call it a god? Is it a God? It's not a God. So are the demons that people worship. They are not gods. Every prist pirit knows that there's one God. Even the ones they worship know that they are not God. Ah welcomes, sir, can we celebrate Reverend usuph a killer? Go to have you no wonder? I was looking for autrance, so you were coming praise God. So please get this right. There's no other God anywhere. People may say there are many gods. You may see it's retain in places that there are many gods, they are actually not God. They are only God. God. God knows that he's alone. Every spirit that is worshiped knows that they are not God. If you meet them, they will tell you I'm a demonal I'm not God. I was created because I will show you what makes God God. Only him has the criteria. Know that period has it and that's why God. His divinity, Number two is his deity, and number three is his authority or supremacy. Every believe I must understand. These three components or attributes of God. His divinity, his deity, and his authority. His divinity are things that He has that he shares but originates from him alone. So there are some things that are in God that you can find in his children, but they originated from God. Do you follow that? So those attributes are called communicable. Attributes of God, and we are going to deal with them. They are the things that makes him divine. Because when you. Started, the word divine a means of God anything that comes from God. So all of those things. The reason why it is part of this categorization is the God. Although he shares it with others, he is the source and his manifestation of this attribute is absolute, only Him, manifested in essence. And in action in an absolute manner. For example, God is righteous, He gives us his righteousness and we have this righteousness, but only He is the source of righteousness, and only He manifest righteousness both in essence and in functionality in an absolute way. We have righteousness as in nature. But we can't manifest it absolutely because we are see undergoing transformation. But God has righteousness as Thauce, and it defines this essence, and he manifest right soutness in an absolute manner. God has never aired, you will never tress any. Form of history, and here not seeing mistake, he has never made a mistake. He is right and has always been right, and we always be right. So He doesn't just have right softness as this essence. He also manifested in an absolute manner. And there are five qualities here that makes God divine. Then you have his deity. His day speaks of the components of his essence that are not communicable. There are certain things that God has that only God possesses, and any spirit that says is a God will be ask to manifest one. There are six of them. Only God has them. Only God is omnipotent. There's no spirit anywhere being worshiped anywhere that's omnipotent. And there are six of them. And then you speak of his authority, which. Is our focus tonight. Only God is creator. There's no spirit that can bring something into existence from nothing. Only God can. You can transform. Using a rom bacteria, but if there's no row material, you are bankrupt. But God cannot be bankrupt. He is creator, is part of his authority. So when you want to study about God within the context of his sovereignty, your study his divinity, Your study his deity, and you will study his. Supremacy, or his authority or his of physes. So quickly, let's look at his diffinity, all his communicable attributes. There are five basic attributes or six basic attributes that God possesses that makes him divine and is divine in that He is the. Only source and it is tied to him. Number one is perfect righteousness, the tonometer, the two best. Four. The Bible said, he is the Rock, his work is perfect for all his ways and judgment, A God of truth and without iniquity. Trust and right is he? Trust and right is he. Seventeen is that the Lord is righteous in all. His ways and holy in all his works. He is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works. You will never trace any aspect of God and find iniquity or find mistake. He is perfect and perfect in everything, in thoughts, in words, in deeds. He never airs. It's impossible for God to err. In fact, in the realm of God righteous that it is not just. The nature is the power. You know what that means.
