But in chapter eight, 0:05:34.880 --> 0:05:38.760 a man named Saul came along. He hated these disciples. 0:05:39.000 --> 0:05:41.880 He had letters from the government to have them arrested 0:05:41.960 --> 0:05:45.960 and put in jail. The scripture says Saul wreaked havoc 0:05:46.279 --> 0:05:50.240 on the church in Jerusalem. Here the disciples were going 0:05:50.279 --> 0:05:54.159 along seeing God's favor, and out of nowhere Saul showed 0:05:54.240 --> 0:05:58.279 up and turned things upside down. Their whole world was shaken. 0:05:59.160 --> 0:06:02.560 It's interesting that Saul came to Jerusalem and cost so 0:06:02.680 --> 0:06:06.800 much turmoil. Jerusalem means the city of peace. This was 0:06:06.880 --> 0:06:09.600 home for many of the disciples. This is where they 0:06:09.640 --> 0:06:13.680 felt secure, they could relax and be comfortable. But now 0:06:13.720 --> 0:06:17.400 this city of peace was the city of chaos. Now, 0:06:17.400 --> 0:06:20.400 I'm sure they thought, God, where are you? Don't you 0:06:20.480 --> 0:06:23.240 see what Saul is doing and how much trouble we're 0:06:23.279 --> 0:06:27.520 in Just a few chapters earlier, God sent the rushing 0:06:27.640 --> 0:06:30.719 mighty wind. It's not like he couldn't have stopped Saul. 0:06:31.160 --> 0:06:34.360 He parted red seas, he closed the mouths of lions. 0:06:34.760 --> 0:06:38.039 He could have kept Saw from ever entering Jerusalem. Great favor was 0:11:03.840 --> 0:11:07.760 on his life. He never saw that in Jerusalem. If 0:11:07.800 --> 0:11:09.880 he would have stayed there, he would have missed the 0:11:09.920 --> 0:11:15.640 fullness of his destiny. Many times, a great shaking proceeds 0:11:15.760 --> 0:11:22.800 great favor, great difficulties proceed great promotion, great opposition proceeds 0:11:22.920 --> 0:11:26.320 great influence. If you could see what God is up to, 0:11:26.960 --> 0:11:30.760 you wouldn't be stressed over the shaking, complaining about the trouble, 0:11:31.240 --> 0:11:34.800 upset over the setback.
