Let's get to the word. We've been considering a series on prayer, the mystery of prevailing prayer. This is part three. This is part three. Very quickly. I'll just wrap it up and then we have a few minutes to pray. Allelujah. The Bible lets us know. We discuss from part one that we've been called into a priestly ministry. Revelations Chapter five and ten says that we have been made onto our God a kingdom of priests or kings and priests. And the Bible says that we'll reign in the earth. And part of the priestly ministry is that of prayer. Some sixty five and verse two says, all doubt that here is prayer. He says, onto you shall all flesh, there is a God that he has prayer. In Matthew chapter twenty one and verse thirteen, Jesus whip told the people who were in the temple buying and selling, and he said, my house shall be called the house of prayer. My house shall be called the house of prayer. Allelujah. And we did discuss the reasons why we should pray according to scripture, the reasons why we must pray. Number one we said, it is a command. And then number two is one of the strategies for fellowship, growth and transformation, warfare and intercession, a strategy to keep your faith alive away together, and then a platform to make requests and petitions. And then the week before last we see that a spiritual protocol. As far as prayer is concerned, it says, after this manner, pray ye Matthew six, our father, please do well to get it. Primarily, prayer was not just designed as an instrument of warfare and so on and so forth. It was designed for fellowship and growth. A few scriptures please look chapter nine. We pray, but most of our prayer is just a need living prayer Father, in the name of Jesus. And we quickly say one or two things, thank you you are The line of the tribe of Judah, the root of David in Jesus name. And then we just push past, and then we go straight to our requests. But there are. Dimensions of prayer that should bring intimacy, fellowship growth. In First Corinthians chapter fourteen, when you read from verse two and then verse four, Paul the apostle was speaking, and he said, he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not onto men, but onto God, for no man understanding him. How be it in the spirit he speaketh mysteries? And the Bible calls these mysteries the hidden wisdom of God that none of the prince is knew. For her they knowed. It is the God of the universe, the God of the Bible. You pray to angels, you pray to heaven. That's not the key to answer prayer. Return back to that place of genuine intimacy, to prayer, that you can take it first, to pray. And they say what is the prayer request? And you say, it is God, It is God. I love you, and I just want to know you Ah. Just like that. It's it that you don't have prayer requests. I do. But I love you. I love you with all my heart. I came to let you know that there are many things that try to take your place, but you remain God and God alone. And that sound is rising to heaven. I'm not sure there is anywhere as difficult as the belly of the fish. There is no space. Yet he prayed and God had it. So Jonah's life is a big revelation for us. You don't have any excuse, as first convenience is concerned to pray. Jonah prayed in the belly of the fish Jonah, Chapter two and verse two. Very quickly, I cried, by reason of my affliction onto the Lord. Jonah is speaking, and he heard me out of the belly of hell, cried, and thou heardest my voice these three for thou hast cast me into the deep and in the midst of the seas, and the floods come pass me about. Thy billows and thy waves passed over me. Uh huh, he says. Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight. Yet I will look again towards thy holy temple. Listen, when you pray, there are times that it's not just the mountain you speak to. The mountain is bigger than you. So you speak to the one who is bigger than the mountain, and he will do the speaking to the mountain. The Bible says God spoke to the fish. I wonder what he told the fish, But one thing I know is that the fish hard and the fish from me, that Jonah on dry ground, it's been three days. He stinketh, and he says, roll away the stone you have requested, and now you will see me as the resurrection and the life. And he said Lazarus. You know why he called his name. Your life will be full of jealousy and envy and bitterness. You know, people that do not pray because they do not have results, and the moment they do not have results, the side effect is jealousy, bitterness, and James is teaching us that there is a structure in the kingdom for all to have their prayers answered. Number one is prayerlessness. That prayerlessness can bring bitter, envy, jealousy. And the rest. But it is possible to still pray, and that there is a condition upon which your prayer would not be answered. He called it praying a miss that he may consume it upon your lost. Praying amiss. When you do not have I wrote here you are liable to be bitter. And then the Bible says you have not because you ask not. It says, as can you shall receive. And if you do not receive, it is because you have asked a miss. You know what it means to ask amiss. It means to ants with wrong motives. It means to asks out of selfishness and our righteous agenda. First John, chapter five, Please and verse fourteen. First John chapter five and verse fourteen. Let's hurry up. We have to pray. The Bible says, and this. Is the confidence coing on your look up that we have in Him that if we ask anything condition according to His will, he heared us. So if it looks like your prayer is not being heard and answered, you need to examine the concept of the will of God over that matter. I wish I had time for us to deal with the will of God. But if any man be a worshiper of God Lord and do what his will, him he hearing. So we see that there is a relationship between answered prayer and the will of God. Believe us pay attention. Just because you are making sounds in Jesus' name does not mean the prayer will be answered. That there is a condition. There is a verification. Process in the will, in the realm of the spirit for your prayer to be answered. If your prayer is not consistent with the will of God, the Bible says, it is possible that your prayer will not be answered. Ephesients chapter five and verse seventeen. Paul was mentoring the church in Ephesus, teaching them to work circumspectly. And it says, wherefore be ye not on wise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. That means the will of the Lord can be understood. Collosians one, verse nine. Paul was praying over the ti callers say, and he said, for this cause we also. Since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray. For you listen and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will. And then in all wisdom and spiritual understanding the knowledge of his will, the knowledge of his will, look or please. There are two biblical platforms for knowing and understanding the will of God. Two biblical platforms. Number one is the character of scripture. The character of God has revealed in scripture can help us know. The will of God. It is not God's desire to allow his will to remain a mystery. He wants us to know his will. Listen carefully when you learn Jesus, and when you study Jesus, you grow into the knowledge. Experientially of the will of God. What did Jesus do? Jesus never saw sin Us and left them there. That means it is the will of God that continually we'll be passionate about the global harvest. Every time people came to Jesus, he showed them kindness, He showed them benevolence. When he saw the hungry, he fed them. The will of God revealed in Christ. Are we together now? The will of God revealed in Christ? The will of God revealed in Christ. Can I tell you this? You can use Scripture and the revelation of Jesus to judge every other platform that communicates the will of God, that includes prophecy that inclves whatever kind of supernatural manifestation. You have the right, based on the authority of Scripture and the revelation of Jesus, as revealed again from Scripture, to judge every prophecy once it is not consistent with the universal character of the world. That means the way the world behaves. You know. One of the reasons why we study scripture so that we can have the mind of Christ. What is the mind of Christ, God's way of doing things. This becomes the key to managing the excesses that come with the charismatic move of God, because the charismatic move of God generally comes with a baggage of excesses, things that are spiritual, but they are not consistent with God's models of Randy. How still engaging them is within you are not outside of the jurisdiction of God's character. Now let me give you an example, and please don't feel bad about this. An example, respectfully speaking, now not to create controversy. Is an issue of remarriage. Say, for instance, a man gets married and then he loses a loved one, and now he has to marry again. I do not believe that it may have it may be God's or original idea to have in your lifetime, maybe multiple persons. But now you are in a situation. Are we together? Now that person has passed on to glory and now based on the provisions that Scripture allows, like Abraham, Remember the Bible does not recognize Ketura as far as the blessing is concerned. So they obeyed and stopped there. Where the decrease stopped was where the miracle stopped. They were not asked to do more. The realm of the spirit is very obedient. You speak once it happens. Once. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so it is. Let them say so. Once flesh came upon them. The word of God defined the limits of the miracles. So just because you made decree yesterday and your health does not mean your finances who automatically answer No one aspect can respond to the decree.
