Your life will move in the direction of your words??? WHAT are you SAYING? You don’t even realize you’re prophesying where you will go. Proverbs 13:2 "A person eats the FRUIT of their LIPS." YOU can’t live a POSITIVE LIFE with a NEGATIVE MOUTH. Proverbs 12:18 NCV “Careless words stab like a sword, but wise words bring healing.” - THINK ABOUT THIS: Children LEARN the LANGUAGE of their ENVIRONMENT without being explicitly taught…it is a NATURAL LEARNING that happens in the family that kids repeat what they hear, how they hear it, and the style of communication is learned from their parents. WE can do more damage with our words than any other part of your body. Our tongue is the most POWERFUL part of our BODY. JAMES 3:1-9 3 ways to USE THIS LANGUAGE 1. The WORDS YOU SPEAK over YOURSELF: James 3:4-6 (MSG & NIV) "Your words are like a RUDDER on a SHIP" In a world full of hate, violence, negativity, hopelessness, fear, doubt, skepticism, doubt, etc, watch your words. Spread hope like fire. James says, "Your mouth is like a spark that can light a forest on fire." What are you RELEASING into your FUTURE, into your PRESENT, into others around you? I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR. "If you don’t speak to your mountains, your mountains will speak to you!" 1 Samuel 30:6 "ENCOURAGE YOURSELF in the LORD" Psalm 42:4-5 WHY AM I DISCOURAGED? PUT YOUR HOPE in GOD. 2. The WORDS YOU SPEAK over OTHERS (Eph.4:29). Our words have the power to BUILD UP or TEAR DOWN. We can help people FULFILL their destiny with the words we speak to them. We have the power to stop people from ending their life, stop husbands from leaving their wife, and stop conversations that are headed for strife. The power is in our WORDS. 3. THE WORDS YOU SPEAK OVER your CIRCUMSTANCES-. CHANGE THE NARRATIVE. Speak the confession: speak life over yourself, over others, over your future. Declare. Prophesy. (1 Kings 18:41-45) SPEAK BY FAITH. I HEAR THE SOUND of a MIGHTY RAIN. Elijah is speaking by faith. Nothing on the outside says there’s rain but he is stirring up the HOPE and FAITH he has in GOD. He’s declaring God’s WORD in the RIGHT NOW. Never allow your present circumstances to name your permanent future! THINGS can turn around!
