About this sermon

Two good Jimmie McDonald songs. These are followed by Kathryn reminding us that the Day of the Lord is coming quickly. There is also a little prayer for salvation at the end. This show was broadcast December 30th 1980. This show has helped me to become more like Jesus and I am sure it can do the same for you. The podcast never has any AI and has no introductions, music or commentary...what you hear will be just Kathryn Kuhlman teaching. Take care and God bless.

It will not be long now. The king is at hand. The redeemer of the ages is at the door. It is the end of the day of the management of man. It is the beginning. of the management of God and of his Christ. It is the hour of liberation for a world which has been brought captive and into subjection by its own lust and the deceitfulness of its own heart. And the only thing which prevents it from being blown into annihilation by an eternal atomic bomb of divine wrath is the love of God for fallen humanity. And the grace of God, which is so eternal that we are lost in the contemplation of its magnitude. Our Heavenly Father must certainly have loved this world of his creation. To send once again his only begotten son to take over the reins of government and to guide it to its eternal destiny. Oh, with what love. He must have loved it. To send him back again after his last advent was mocked by hatred and climaxed with a death of shame. on the cross. Yes, my friend, God's landed lease is about over. He has loaned us his mercy from generation to generation. Every passing century has been crowned with the product of his long suffering. He has given us our crops, our seasons, our days, and our nights. He has lent least his sun to shine upon the just and upon the unjust. He has lent least his rain to water the earth and to bring it forth with bud and blossoms unto the time of the harvest. He has lent at least us the energies, the mysteries of life, so that the little grain of corn that we entrust to the loving embrace of Mother Nature comes back to us multiplied a hundredfold. What have we done to deserve it? What have we given him back in return? lend a lease is now being withdrawn and whether we like it or not the great day of his wrath has come and who shall be able to stand but the day of the lord will come as a thief in the night in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be? That's from God's Word. Tis been his grace. Great is his mercy. Great was the price that was paid for man's salvation. But the day of reckoning is not far away. The day of the Lord is at hand. I give you the scripture. 1 Thessalonians. the fifth chapter. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. And when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day. We are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others. But let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night. And they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us who are of the day be sober. Putting on the breastplate of faith and love. And for an helmet. the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we shall live together with Him. Oh, such mercy! Such grace, such love. Who can fathom the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ? Where would we be this very hour were it not for his grace, his great grace, his great mercy? Who loved us while we were yet sinners? Who can fathom the love of God? Let me ask you. Has there ever lived a man who could fathom the love of God? I have loved thee with an everlasting love. And even this very hour, while the door of salvation is still open, the spirit says calm. Jesus stands with open arms saying, come, it is not too late. And in this moment, wherever you are, whoever you are, look up with absolute sincerity and say, dear Jesus, out of my bondage, sorrow, and night, I accept your love, your mercy. Forgive me. Hear this simple prayer for Jesus' sake. Amen.
