Striving For The Mastery Kingdom

Will take a reading from verse number twenty four. First Corinthians, chapter nine. Know you're not the day which run in the race run all but one received the prize. So run that ye may obtain. And every man that strived for the Master's temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, But we an incorruptible. I therefore so round, not as uncertainly so fight. I not as one that bitted the air. But I keep my body on them, and I bring it into subjection. Lest by any means, when I appreach to orders, I myself should. Be a custom life. Hallelu I, said haleeluis. So the statement of interest in this reading is. What is said in verse twenty five. And every man that strived for the muster every man that strived for the mustery, is temperate. In all things. So we want to look at striving for the musterry. Now you see this mustery of which he speaks is spiritual mustery. It's interesting case you have the determination to strive for spiritual mustery, then you cannot escape the requirement of being temperate in all things. Your quest for spiritual mastery is going to affect your sleep life. Your quest for spiritual mustery we affect the way you eat. Your quest for spiritual mastery will affect how you use your time, because the Bible says that everyone that strived for the mastery is temperate, you know, all things not in something. It will affect your center of gravity. It will affect what you focus on. It will affect what your day will look like. It will affect which appetite you can feed striving for the Master. I need to show you a few scriptures before we come back to First Coritance, chapter nine. Can you talk with me to the Book of Luke Striving for the Master In the Book of Luke chapter one, if you read Luke. Chapter one, beginning from her sixty seven. What is attempted to accomplish is to break the sequence of prophetic silence. For about four hundred and ten ty years, there's been no prophetic ulterance. The mind of God was not revealed, so the people began to walk in darkness. Verse eighty, which is my emphasis, the prophetic world had gone forth, and verse eighty gives us a description of the kind of lifestyle that the profit of the error was going to sustain in order for him to be able to fulfill the great destiny of which the Lord has spoken. Eighty is a summary of thirty years in one verse. You know, when we study the Bible, most times it is difficult to really study it consistent with the time sequence. In between those bases, it will give us an insight into the disciplines. This scripture gives us an insight into the disciplines that this man had to sustain in order for him to be a prophet that would break the prophetic silence that have been sustained for centuries. And the child grew. This is a summary of tat him and walk strong. How where, in spirit, this is not the only possible orientation of growth. You could work strong in your bicels by visiting the gyen. You could work strong in your intellect by taking a pH D problem, building your consciousness in another discipline, in another area. But you see in the this he sustained a settled orientation that made it possible for him to fulfill the spiritual. And the child grew and worked strong in spirit and was in the deserts. Until what the day of showing on to Israel. Most of the time, for we men, and I'm talking about men now, it's easy for a man to start a business, to run a business. It's easy for him to context for an election and devoted into office. But when it comes to a man fulfiling a spiritual destiny, like taking up spiritual responsibility in the judge being an accurate hosband, you find so many men failing distance. Meanwhile they are running a big business. So many people are in their employment or when it comes to anything spiritual, you will find out that the women. In most cases, this is my own experience. It is not just because it became like that. It's because when you want to work strong when. You work, you design your life, you orient your life such that you can work strong in spirit. Their abilities that you have because of your orientation that you have sustained. There was a prophecy on his life, and doubt child shall be called the profit of the High. I know you have a great business. I know you have. A company of employees and people, and the shape of your bank account is good. But I don't believe I can do that. Someone that doesn't know Jesus can even do it better than me. But there is something I don't believer I cannot do. There are ancient covenants of God in this territory, things that he transacted. With the intercessors of. Oh in the eighteenth century, in the seventeenth century, and those things are still living. Their doorways are still open. And God is hoping that the generation will come that we aligned with that. And allow themselves. To be conduses to which the dividends of those transactions can pull out of all the generation. So he says He's going to raise a horn of salvation. So these are the days of the hounds of Salvation. But to say there's a body upon every horn of salvation that rises. He must wax strong in spirit. That means he must be taught what it takes to exercise his spirit consistently until he gains Master. And that was what Paul was trying to teach us in first Corient Term, chapter nine. And we'll go back there show because he says he that striving for the Master, it means it's not everybody. He's not every believing, he's not even everyone in church. They are those that decide to strive for the Master. Those are the ones that God will raised as homes and stuff. He will connect the horizon to ancient transactions that he has done grounds of legitimacy in the spirit, so that they qualify to become channels through which you can visit generations. Are you second example? Before we begin to teach, I'm trying to justify the body on my heart through scriptures. Now let's try look Chapter two, thirty nine and forty. His orientation of development, he pendestoled his spirit development higher than the bone, every other form of development, he said. The babe says he grew, so there was growth in stature. But as it was growing in stature, he worked strong in spirit. And it was evident that the grace of. God, if we want to take an executive summary of your. Life, most would be your own verse. How will you to read? And he grew and watched wrong intellectually. And was head of department and may uniqually mayor head of department, head of amatology department. See what he has become is based on the seeds he has sown on the soil of his soul. That's where his strength is. And other people recognized it and made him head of a mythology department. There's so much you can accomplish when your mind there is fruitful and you're educated. So much you can accomplish. But these accomplishments we are talking about here is not just based on an educated mind that is exposed to relevant and strategic knowledge. We are talking about the capacity, the capacity. That can only be sustained by such men that have decided to develop in a certain way. And meanwhile, don't get me wrong, don't think we are saying that spirituality is a friend of mental slawfulness. As you begin to grow in the spiritual discover that the Holy Ghost is going to use your mind as an asset in sience. The more developed your mind is, the more flexample your mind will be, and the more resourceful your mind. Will be in the hands of the Holy Spirit. So we are not saying that you need to be daft in order for you to be spiritual, are you, lou We are saying that if you are spiritual, even if we put you in mayor clinic, the spirit of excellence will manifesting your life in such a way that your life is expressing something beyond what you studied in medical school. That's what I'm saying. David was better than his teachers, the guys that are instructed. In mild at his manifestation. His teachers are. No intellectual way of understanding how he became such a man. It was because he had another line of development that his teachers, his lecturers were not aware, and that his other line of development influ waste his mind over and beyond the training he received in school. In our day, in our time. It is convenient for people to feel that they are ready for life once they have educational qualification. Indeed, you are ready for natural life. But there is a prophetic life. Before this guy. Knew himself, a prophecy went ahead of him. And now child shall be called the profit of the highest, for Tim shall go before the law to prepare his way to give knowledge of salvation onto his. People, whereby the day's spring from one eye has visited us. Do you realize that there's a prophecy on your life, there's a prophetic destiny that you're supposed to fulfill. Yes, you work at Mayo Clinic. Are you there? Oh, you're not there. Do you realize that an evangelist in the market is an evangelist? The market can be the platform, but his calling still stands wherever it is, because your calling is built into your personality. So anywhere you are, your colling. Is Yes, that's why you can be called pastor, because it's builty to your personality anywhere you are. The pastorial grease is not how you are defined in the realm of your new birth, in the surface of your king. So we can not separate you from your degrees on you. We cannot separat you from the anointing on you, and that anointing is not less potent because. You're a mayor learning. So I'm trying to balance it so that you we see that we are not seeing that spirituality will require that you become that No. Oh my, oh my, I've been asking the Lord. And a child grew. And what's strong spirit? If we are going to realize the promise of revival that hands over cities, hands of our nations, hands of our tribes, hands of our peoples, who. He worked strong in spirit, filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was above. So when you engage Jesus at the age of twelve, there will be evident that. There is wisdom on. The story I'm about to read to us is a snapshot of the life of Jesus, now that he has lived within the restricted description of what we have in the Book of Luke. Chapter two is forty. The Bible gives us a snapshot of the quality of his life at the age of twelve, to give us an insight into the product that he had become on the account of the disciplines he sustained. But it was the time of the feast of the Passover, and the whole family, the whole gang had moved to Jerusalem for the feasts, and then when the feast was over, the family was moving back to their place, thinking that Jesus was with one of the teens. There were two days into the trip before they discovered that he was not with any of the groups, and so they set out to go back to Jerusalem in search of him. This was the story Luke chapter two, verse forty six. You know what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to give you a snapshot, because the description of life is sustained for twelve years is what is captured in verse number forty and the tribe. And what strong in spirit, filled with wisdom and the grace of God was appoint Okay. Now, so this is a snapshot in Luke chapter two, whereas forty six. And it came to pass that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them and asking them questions, and all head him and were astonished at this understanding. And answers, are you know? Okay? So in Hebrew culture, I've forgotten the actual pronunciation. Let me not mutilate that Hebrew word. In Hepro culture, in order for you to be declared a man, first of all, you will need to rehearss the Torah and read it back and forth and back and forth, and then you'll be presented before the. He was the one that provided answers to those questions. And the Bible says that everyone was astonished. This is a portrait of the dimension of wisdom that was at work in his life because of the orientation of. His gold pattern, and the child grew and was strong, his spirit filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon. Can you see that this is beyond education, This is now wisdom. It's a product that makes you better than your teachers. And the teachers are wandering where was this one raised? That was the wrong question, because the right question is what kind of exercise is it doing? So, in addition to. His studies, he was deliberately investing in his spirit capacity, and the dextality that was manifested through his life came through the freekrance that was contacted because his experience. And after we put in that ten hours, ten hours, ten hours, ten hours, ten. The population exploded and in that poor village, the Lord gave us the resources. Then it was one point seven million pounds. We raised a cathedral that can take five thousand in that. Village, and people began to come from all over the world to our city, to our village. M HM. Last year. We couldn't control the crowd.
