And he declared over Abraham's life 0:01:20.760 --> 0:01:24.160 that he would be a blessing, that he would bless 0:01:24.280 --> 0:01:26.880 people all over this world, that he would be a 0:01:26.920 --> 0:01:31.080 great nation, that God would do amazing things in his life. So, 0:01:31.120 --> 0:01:35.480 as he was traveling with God, he had his nephew 0:01:35.600 --> 0:01:37.720 Lot with him. I know you know this story. So 0:01:37.840 --> 0:01:42.160 he and Lot took off to follow God. Scripture tells 0:01:42.240 --> 0:01:45.320 us that there was a point in time where he 0:01:45.440 --> 0:01:49.559 and Lot became too numerous. They had too much livestock 0:01:49.640 --> 0:01:53.200 between the two of them. Their families grew, their herds grew, 0:01:53.600 --> 0:01:58.120 and it became too much to support two families like 0:01:58.160 --> 0:02:01.280 this on one piece of land. There was some quarreling 0:02:01.360 --> 0:02:04.640 going on between their employees, the herdsman, and there was 0:02:04.680 --> 0:02:08.320 some strife that was taking place because there just wasn't 0:02:08.720 --> 0:02:13.240 enough land to sustain the wealth and the possessions that 0:02:13.280 --> 0:02:17.560 they had acquired through the blessings of God. Let's make a decision that we're just 0:02:24.320 --> 0:02:28.080 gonna part ways right now, and Lot, you take the 0:02:28.120 --> 0:02:30.600 first choice. Where do you want to go? So Abraham turned the other and he 0:03:01.760 --> 0:03:05.480 went on his way. Now, Abraham, he didn't walk into 0:03:05.560 --> 0:03:09.280 a lush garden. The Bible says he walked into a 0:03:09.320 --> 0:03:12.919 lot of dirt and a lot of dust. And listen 0:03:12.960 --> 0:03:16.480 to what God said to Abraham when he was standing 0:03:16.919 --> 0:03:19.160 in the middle of this plain that looked like a 0:03:19.200 --> 0:03:23.359 bunch of dirt and dust. He said, Abraham, I want 0:03:23.360 --> 0:03:25.400 you to lift up your eyes from where you are 0:03:25.560 --> 0:03:29.040 right now. I want you to look beyond where you 0:03:29.120 --> 0:03:33.640 are right now. You see, God was saying, Abraham, don't 0:03:33.639 --> 0:03:35.040 get a picture of this dirt and. 0:03:35.080 --> 0:03:37.120 Dust, because it's not your destination. 0:03:38.000 --> 0:03:40.000 He said, Abraham, I want you to look past the 0:03:40.080 --> 0:03:42.400 dirt and the dust, and I want you to start 0:03:42.480 --> 0:03:44.760 meditating on what I have spoken. 0:03:44.480 --> 0:03:46.800 Over your life. He was so excited about that gold coin. 0:06:35.120 --> 0:06:38.479 He continued to look down on the ground. Do you 0:06:38.520 --> 0:06:42.240 know he spent his entire life with his face looking 0:06:42.320 --> 0:06:46.320 down for coins.
