SCRIPTURAL STRATEGIES FOR CHALLENGING TIMES ROM 8;35 37 WITH APOSTLE

Let's be the name of the Lord. Wave your hands to Jesus, give him praise, give him glory, the merciful God, King of kings. Can you lift your hands above your head and just acknowledge the Merciful Father. The Bible says, to come boldly before the throne of grace. Lord, we thank you, Thank you, Thank you for your grace, for your mercy, for your love, for your kindness, your mercies, and dear forever will give you all the praise. Let everything that has breath praised the Lord. Glory, Glory to your name. Glory, Glory to your name, the giver of life, the helper of men, the lifter of men. We bless you, We bless you. The House of God is a city of refuge. In Some twenty one and two, the psamis who say, may the Lord hear you in the day of trouble, Then it says, may the God of Jacob defend you. He says, send you help from Zion and strengthen you. Send your help from his sanctuary, and to strengthen you out of his Zion. So the house of God is a place where the weary can come and they can find strength. The House of God is a place where the weak can come and they can be empowered. Are we together, Yes, the House of God is Bethel, the place of bread. The Bible says in Matthew four vers. Four. Man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word. The proceeding word comes when you come into the house of God. The House of God is a place of understanding. It says, when I came into the sanctuary, then understood I their end, you can have understanding in the House of God. The House of God is a place of empowerment, where you are engraced by the Holy Ghost to do exploits for the kingdom. The House of God is a place of discovery. It was when Jesus came into the temple, the Bible says, he opened the scroll of Isiahs and he found where it was written concerning him. And he said, the spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he had annoying, had me to preach blad tidings, so the milk. He had sent me to bind up the broken hearted, and so on and so forth. And he closed the book. The Bible says, their eyes fastened towards him, and he said, today is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. The House of God is where you find hope, hope for the weary away together. Now, the House of God is a place of love. It is true. The House of God, in fact, is where you find life. Some one thirty three. How good and how pleasant it is when brethren dwell together in unity. It is like the oil that comes upon the head of aaron, to his bird, to his cat, his garment. The Bible says, for there the Lord had commanded the blessing even life, everlasting. May you find all this and more in the name of Jesus for the weak, May you find strength for the sick. May you find healing for the discouraged and hopeless. May you find hope in the name of Jesus Christ for the weary. May you find the living water in the name of Jesus Christ. For those who are lost. May you find your way back home in the name of Jesus Christ. A man and Amen. And so my assignment, as always is to communicate the wisdom of God, the power of God in a way that strengthens believers. Let me remind you again that Coinonia has a mission to produce a victorious believer, and that through the sound communication of doctrine, a sound communication of the principles of the Kingdom. There is no other way to strengthen an individual spiritually outside of the ministry of the world. A way together at twenty hundverse thirty two. And now, brethren, I commend you first to God Lord, and then to the world of His grace. The Bible says, and that it is able sustains the capacity to number one pueled you up, and then two to give you an inheritance among them that are sanctified. The assignment of the world of God is to damage ignorance from your life. Because you see, provided you dwell in the realm of ignorance, or darkness, as the Bible calls it, you are still within the domain of Satan. Allelujah. Isa Chapter sixty and verse one says that you are rise and you shine, not because you've been there for a long time. The only basis for your rising and shining is that your light would have come. And then that the glory of the Lord is risen upon you amplified, says Arise from the depression and the prostration that circumstances have kept you. Rise to a new light. Someone is rising in the name of Jesus, it says. But the people that sat in darkness, they have seen a great light. They sat in darkness, not knowing they were in darkness. And then I will remind you again that the world of God is beyond intellectual communication. I've told you time and again, and you've heard me say so, maybe for the first time in New York, that when you are under the influence of the world of God. Number one you must realize that there is a layer of spiritual communication that is not intellectual. Allelujah. The exegesis of the world is not all the way intellectual. There is a dimension that is higher than the realm of intellect. That one is a spirit communication. So you can receive realities deposited in your spirit man that your mind cannot articulate. Your mind cannot give language too. However, with time that reality that's been deposited in your spirit begins to find expression, and you find yourself working in on usual wisdom. You find yourself working in on you usual dimensions of power. Confidence, faith is impacted just like the wind. The Bible says, the wind blow it wet, listen, you cannot tell whence it is going or when it is coming. So is the way of the spiritual man. And then, of course there is a layer of the world, the teaching of the world, that it bits your understanding. It corrects your thoughts, it corrects your perceptions, it corrects your ideas, even if they've been aged long. The Bible calls them strongholds away together. Yeah, So, whilst you are under the influence of the world of God, there are two laws walking. One the law of sin and death away together, guarded by demon spirits that keep you in a thought pattern that keep recycling pain, defeat, and it stops you from being a victorious Christian, even if you are saved. I have said it, and let me repeat myself again, that the ignorant believer will also be a defeated believer. Even though a believer you can be in Christ, haven't acknowledged His lordship over your life. You are a bona fide possessor of eternal life, but you may never be able to manifest the riches that is deposited and embedded in that life, because manifesting on veiling the riches of the God life depends on knowledge. Because he had chapter four and verse sixcess my people very interesting. They are my people, but they are still destroyed for the lack of knowledge. Allelujah. Two reasons why Jesus cried in the Bible. The first, the Bible says he wept when he was at the tomb of Lazarus. The second, the Bible says, he looked over Jerusalem and he began to weep. Oh, Jerusalem, Jerusalem. If you had known even in this day the things that pertain to your peace, But now they are hidden from you. He cried because he saw the ignorance of the people, well intentioned people, sincere people. It takes more than sincerity to live a victorious life. You can be as well intentioned as you choose to be, but if you lack the requisite knowledge, and for some of what you're not totally in ignorance, but you do not have the knowledge requirement. I'll always give this example back home. If you work with a great system of ABCDF, as we do academically, you imagine a student who's coused F. F does not necessarily mean zero. F does not necessarily mean zero. Anything less than I think it's forty or thirty nine is called F. So to the one who's cost thirty nine, he still had an F. The one who's scored twenty eight is still had an F. The problem is not knowledge, is insufficient knowledge. That he did not have the knowledge enough to pass the mark, the bar that was set. So the Bible says in First Corinthians eight and verse two is if any man think that he knows anything, he says, that man know it not as he ought to know. Let me therefore charge you tonight that whilst remaining confident. You don't teel to a realm of overconfidence, where perhaps you may say I already know the word, I have an understanding of it. If it's not producing results in your life, then it's not yet become spirit and life to you. Because John one to five says, the light shine it, That was the true light that lighted every man. There are false lights. They carry a semblance of liberty, but when you stand in the face of real life situations, they cannot deliver. If it's true light, it brings victory always all the time you're ready for light. Shout Amen, Allelujah, prays the name of the Lord. Now, tonight's teaching is very interesting. The Lord quickened this in my heart even before we arrived New York. And whilst I'm speaking to the globe, I would want to tailor my teaching to charge the body of Christ in America, particularly in North America. And I'll be teaching tonight on scriptural strategies for challenging times. Scriptural strategies for challenging times. I consider this teaching very important, especially in light of the times that we live in. The Bible calls the Church the pillar and the ground of truth, and that means that when there are problems that be devil people in the church, extending to society, the Church should be able to answer, to respond to the needs that hurts, the pain, the confusion that people face across any territory. If the Church fails to provide scriptural solutions that give people hope, that give them guidance, that give them direction, then it's failed to be the light? Are we together? In Matthew chapter five, reading from verse thirteen to sixteen, the Bible says, you add the salt, speaking to the church, now the salt of the earth, the salt of New York, the salt of America. It says, But if the salt has lost its several wherewich shall it be salted? It is tensforth good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden on the foot of men. Fourteen now says you are the light of the world. I like this a city that is set on a heel that cannot be heid. It says, neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick and a given light to all that are in the house. Then sixteen leaves us with an instruction lead the word, lets their means permit, do not restrict, do not restrain. Let your light so shine before men, that they might see your good deeds and glorify your Father, which is in heaven. Allelujah, Amen so Cuctural strategies for challenging times. For our text tonight, we look at Romance chapter eight, and then verse thirty five to thirty seven. Romance Chapter eight, You love the Bible, shout a man who shall separate us from the love of Christ. It says, shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or peril or the sword, as it is written, for day's sake, we are killed all day long. It says we are counted as ship for the slaughter. Verse thirty seven it says, nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us a man to that scripture in Jesus name, allelujah. Now, from a theological standpoint, when you study the Book of Efficients, just for a background, the Book of Efficiens is considered one of the most concise theological presentations of the believer's work of faith because you find throughout the six chapters that make the book of Efficiens. Paul is mentoring the church in Ephesus, and now he begins. He breaks his exegesis into three number one. He brings the believer to a point where you understand your oneness with Christ. He reveals to us from a spiritual standpoint, Please look up. I hope you know that when you read the Gospel without the epistles or without you know the works the writings of Paul. Yeah, you would know that Jesus died and rose again. But it was Paul who gave us the heeding meanings. Are we together? We did not know that we were raised up with Christ until Paul taught us. We knew that Jesus died, but to what intent? There was no sound exegesis as to the spiritual implication of his death, his burial, his resurrection is a session his glorification. It was Paul, in chapter one, chapter two, and into chapter three who began to give us a sound exegesis as to the fact that when Jesus was raised, we were raised with him away together, that he purchased redemption for us by the shedding of blood, the forgiveness of our sins, etc. So Paul begins the first three or so chapters of Efficients, they generally informed the believer about what they call theologically the finished work of Christ. And then he brings us to a consciousness of our oneness. So the Gospel teaches that Jesus died, but Paul teaches us that we died in him. So it's not only that Jesus died away together, but that we died in him. We were buried with him. We rose again, and we're seated with Christ in heavenly places far above thrones, dominions, et cetera. If you're following, say amen. And then Paul goes immediately to teach us what we call the work of the believer. So he teaches us how to conduct ourselves in a godly manner, manifesting the character of one who is in Christ. He teaches us that there is an implication even though we are not saved by works, we are saved onto good walks. So he begins to talk about the conduct of one who is in Christ, ordering your conversations, and so on and so forth. Then Paul introduces another dimension, called the work that it teaches us how to stand against the wilds of the enemy. Paul does not leave us in the dark as to the fact that we are not alone upon the earth, that there are demonic forces that are determined. Are we together to threaten our liberty and to fight the purposes of God? Has committed to us to fight the program of God, and he begins to give us criptural strategies. He calls them the whole armor of God. He now begins to talk about the breastplate of righteousness. Are we together? Now you know the helmet of salvation, the sord of the spirit, the shield of faith, wherewith you will be able to quench all the fiery that of the enemy. So it's considered theologically that studying the Book of Ephicians will give the believer a broad and wholesome picture. So it teaches you that you are seated with Christ. It teaches you how to work and live victoriously, conducting yourself in a way and manner that brings glory to the name of the Lord. But it also teaches you that you are a warrior, and that should the need a rise, you will learn to fight the fight of faith that produces victory. Are we learning already a man? So it's not on you usual for the believer to have challenges we've been considering. In fact, if you have been following the series, we've been having a series of teachings that teach people how to be strong in the midst of unfavorable situations. Last week I taught on the way of Escape, and connecting to that teaching, I want to show you another perspective. These are survival strategies. They teach the believer how to survive such that when the storms are down, you are still standing. You see, believers should not shacken out of fear. Are way together. Most people are afraid, and most people fail when storms arise because they are not taught that it is not unusual for believers to go through this. And sometimes, as ministers of the Gospel, we make the mistake to sell an idea, not just an idea of victory, an idea of a trouble free life. The Bible does not promise that, not at all. Never will you find the Bible promising a trouble life. The Bible only gives us guarantee that even if trouble arises, there is a strategy for victory. Are we together praise the name of the Lord? Two scriptures Second Corinthians, Chapter four, and we just look at eight and nine. Then we'll go to John chapter sixteen and verse thirty three. Second Corinthians. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed. Who are the we believe us, they are not unbelievers. Is that it is possible to be troubled on every side, and yet in the midst of that trouble, you're not distressed. We are perplexed, but not in despair. Verse nine. We are persecuted, but not forsakend. We are cast down but not destroyed. Scripture number two, John sixteen thirty three. This is Jesus speaking now in John chapter sixteen and verse thirty three. Is that these things I have spoken to you. Please listen, America, listen, and on your global listen the Body of Christ that in me ye might have peace in the world. It says, in the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good share. I have overcome the world. And how many of you know that because you overcame, we are also overcomers. In fact, he calls us more than conquerors. Do you believe that? Allelujah? So the Bible tells us it is possible to be troubled on every side. I think it was during Come Up Heather. Earlier on in the US, I taught something around this, and I said that believers can be troubled on some sides. I give you an instance. Your health can be fine, but something may be wrong with your finances. In this case, you're not troubled on every side. You're troubled on some sides, but there are some sides that are fine. But like job, it is possible for a man, even in Christ, to be true on every side. Something is wrong with your marriage, wrong with your children, wrong with your health, wrong with your job. There is such a possibility, as with John upon the earth, that we can be troubled on every side. But then the Bible also tells us that in all these things we read that earlier on, we are more than conquerors. And I want someone to shout it convincingly, say I am more than a conqueror. You look beyond your pain, Look beyond the spirit of depression, Look beyond the things, your bills, your muggage, your papers, whatever it is. Shout it to your hearing and the hearing of the devil. I am more than a conqueror. In the name of Jesus Christ Allelujah. The Bible gives the believer the assurance of victory that in the midst of all the turbulence and everything that can happen to you, you are assured of victory. I am amazed that storms and troubles did not spare Jesus. You would think, because he came as the son of God, God incarnate, he would live such a flawless and invincible life as far as being challenged were concerned. But one time, the Bible tells us. In fact, let me even back up and tell you, how many of you know that the birth of Jesus itself was chaotic. His childhood was chaotic. You talk about trauma. Remember Jesus, how do you grow up not having age mates because they were all killed from two years and below I went together. So Jesus grew up in a chaotic environment. I'm not sure if I were the father, I would design that kind of template for the arrival of Jesus. But unfortunately, this is what happens in the world of men. As soon as he was born, the Bible says, Herold kicked the signal. He called the magi and said, please go and investigate. When you find where that king is born. Let me know so I'll also come and worship. He intended to kill Jesus, and the angel had to appear to tell Joseph take this child and go and hide the child. Imagine telling Jesus that story at age five or six or ten, that did you know you were? You escaped death at the edge of a knife, and this was supposed to be a savior. We are troubled on every side, and then you would think that we're fine. By age twelve, he went to the temple, and now he had a problem with his parents, the stubbing childhood. They meet him one time and said, Jesus, where have you been? And he said, do you not know? Have you not read that I should be about my father's business. And then, from a theological standpoint, for eighteen years, we do not hear about Jesus again. From age twelve. The next time we hear about Jesus is thirty years. He shows up at John's crusaid. John is baptizing and looking for the Christ, and John looks at him and says, behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He comes to John to be baptized, and John says, no, no, no, no, I cannot baptize you have seen you in the spirit. I know that you're not an ordinary man. And he said, so fi to be so that Scripture might be fulfilled. Away together. Yeah, So Jesus begins his ministry right from that crusade ground. Watch this right from Jordan. The Bible tells us the Holy Spirit, not a demon spirit, drove him. Was not a suggestion. He compelled Jesus to the wilderness. Did you know why to be ten ted of the devil? It's written in your Bible that he drove Jesus and he went to the wilderness, and then he was now being tempted of the devil. Can you imagine that he prays forty days and forty nights, and guests who shows up after the prayer not angels, Satan. And he says, okay, Matthew, chapter four, I understand. And anyone who's been fasting like this should be hungry. So can you turn these stones to bread? You have the power? Jesus replies by saying, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father. Then the Bible says, he takes him up the temple, the pinnacle of the temple, and he says, can you fall down? Because it is written he shall keep his angels charge over you. They will watch you dare at night, so that you will not dash your feet against the stone. Then the Bible says, he now took him to an exceeding high mountain, showed him the glories of the world in a moment a passage of time, and says, if you bow to me, I would give this to you because it's been delivered to me. And then when he's done, he rebukes Satan. He says, get there you, and so on and so forth, and then the angels now come to minister. You would think they came too late. If there were angels there, why didn't they stop him from conversation, whether it was physical, whether it was mental, what were they doing? The Bible says, as soon as Satan left, the angels came and they ministered to him. And then one of the synoptic accounts who say he now returned in the power of the spirit. In the power of the spirit, meaning that if Jesus succumbed to all of those temptations, you would not even have a ministry begin in the first place. If someone learning now and then all through that ministry. I am amazed that the Bible says he returned in the power of the spirit. I thought that would mean peace, no battles, excellence, and all through from that time until the cross. They gave him no rest. The scribes and the Pharisees had their trouble away together if you so dislike him and leave him to do his crusades alone, but they would come to the crusade ground, watch the miracles and trouble him again. We are troubled on every side. Isn't it amazing that there are people who would never let your success be. They will be there, They will put an eye on everything that's happening to you, and yet they will comment so negatively, and sometimes you're are tempted. It's all right, leave me alone. If you don't believe me, go away, But you will always find them. Allelujah. We are troubled on every side. How about Paul. I don't know any man who was flogged as many times. I mean, how can a man full of the holy goes raising the dead? Paul was flogged once and again and whilst in prison. You would think Paul would be concerned about his condition. He was writing letters in prison. Okay, I hear you're all misbehaving. I'm in the prison now, but shortly or be coming out. If I come out, I'm coming there. I have a lot of things to fix. What a man. Now, you see, when you read the Bible, because of the presence of the Holy Spirit and the dominion power of the world, sometimes you can program yourself to not see that they were challenges. Jesus was not without challenges. Away together America listened to me. Jesus as the Son of God was not without challenges. The patriarchs were not without challenges. The disciples who later became apostles were not without challenges. The early Church were not without challenges. Now, when you read Bible history, you take a moment and read Bible history. Read how all of the apostles of the Lamb died, As far as we know, only just one of them. I was told John who died in natural death. I mean some of them went to all kinds of things. Bible history will teach us. So it is not unusual for believers to be challenged. Let me go ahead of myself to teach you something. Fight your battles with honor, don't chicken out, don't be ashamed. Away together. If it's a family battle, don't be ashamed of it. Let the naysayers keep talking while you fight the fight of faith. If it's your health, fight it with honor, away together. If it's about your prodigal child, fight it with honor your fight. Who mean interceding your fight? Who mean bending over backwards? You know? Sometimes and we need to be very careful because sometimes we have this godlike expectation over believers over one another, and when people pass through battles and storms, we make them feel guilty in the presence of the storms, as though it were an unbelief problem. Sometimes it is not a seen problem. Sometimes it is not an unbelief problem. In fact, sometimes the storm arises because you are moving. I told you this during Sound of Revival. There are certain storms that have no business arising in your life if you're not doing anything spiritually. There are certain storms that arise because your impact is sending a signal in the spirit and the devil is so threatened. It is true, is it not? In your Bible? John's Synoptic account there was a man who was born blind, and the disciples were perplexed, and they came to Jesus one time. They said, who's sin that this man was born blind himself of his father. Jesus said, neither, This is not a sin problem, but that the glory of the Lord be revealed. How about the man beautiful? The Bible says he was lame from his birth? Do you blame a child who was lame from his birth? Are we together? So? Not all challenges are as a result of sin. Not all challenges are as a result of unbelief. Now, truly, there are times that sin can give way. Remember when he rebuked one, he said, go and sin no more so there are people who are trapped by their predicaments are a direct effect of saying others unbelief. All that spiritual laxity for instance, prayerlessness for instance, wordlessness for instance, not loving the house of God, not growing in grace, All of these things have negative consequences. But there are times that everything can just be fine, but all hell breaks out, and maybe someone is in that condition. Right now, you have such sincerely, and there's nothing There are no loopholes. Who are aware of your prayer life is intact. I always say it this way when there is a conflict between your integrity and your results. When your prayer life is intact, your word studying life is intact. Your love for Jesus is intact. And yet it looks like there are battles. Fight it with honor, fight it with honor. Away together. Someone say, I will fight. It's a fight of faith. So say it here. I will fight, Yes, sir, I will fight. Fight for my child, fight for my spouse, fight for my job, fight for the prophecy over my head, fight to see that the ministry serves the grace of God. I will fight. I will fight. May not be my course. I will fight. I met a cause that came from my grandfather, but I will fight. I will fight till it ends with me. I will fighting, it ends with my children. I will fight, and it ends with me. Someone learning I will fight. It a fight of faith. I hear that there is a pattern of untimely dead. But now that I've showed up, I will fight. It's a fight of faith in the name of Jesus. I hear that no one has served the Lord across my lineage. I will fight. It's a fight of faith. I hear that those who come from my place never rise, they never become global. But I will fight. I will fight with the sword of the spirit. I will fight in prayer. I will fight as I first. I will call believers who believe in me. I don't need anybody everybody. I just need a few people who believe, and I will fight. I hear marriages don't work, but I will fight. Yes, sir, yes, sir, yes, sir. I hear people worship idols and worship the devil. But I will fight. I may be the first, but I will fight. I may be the only, but I will fight. Someone shout, say I will fight the devil. Did not hear you say I will fight. I hear the only way to survive based on the course that is across my lineage, is that you live as a beggar. You have to serve others to fight. But I will fight, fight, fight, I will fight. I hear there is a course that all my children will be autistic. But I will fight. Someone shout I will fight again, say I will fight. Let this be a prophetic word for you say I will fight. Let this work be a whip on in your hand. I will fight as I praise. I will fight as I cry. I will fight as I first in the name of Jesus, I will turn the plates upside down and first till there is a breakthrough. I will turn the plates upside down and fight until there is a change. For the Bible says, surely there is an end. Surely there is an end. Say again, I will fight. Please me see that. I will fight. Laugh at me while I fight. I will still fight. Write books about me while I fight. I will still fight. Mock me while I fight. I will still fight, misunderstand me while I fight. I will still fight. I don't have time explaining my destiny. I will fight when I wien. I will explain when I wien, I will explain. I'm not going to waste my time trying to correct and narrative. I don't have that time. I'm too cleasy making destiny walk. What fight? That's not destiny For a lazy person who is ashamed over lead, conscious of your reputation, what will people say? They will say, even if you don't do anything, so you can as well fight while they say, don't lose on two grounds, they talk about Jesus, they talk about Satan. Either ways, they will talk about you. So while they talk fight, let's sit down, Sit down. Can I tell you this? Behind every glory you see, there is a story. I can keep you all day telling you the battles that were fought to be here. Make no mistakes about it. Sometimes the palace can take away the wounds and you'll be mistaken to think. There are those cars. You know whyse cars remain. It reminds you that you fought. When you get to heaven today, one of the ways you will know Jesus. It's not just by the royal crown. There is only one man who has his car on his hand. It's a testament of fighting for the victory of mankind. Don't be ashamed of your wounds, don't be ashamed of your scars fight. Can I tell you the scars that look like a basis for shame today will be the reason why you will be honor tomorrow. There are certain seats when you get to the table of greatness. It is only for those who have scars. If you are too innocent, you will stay outside. Listen to my message lessons from an overcomer. The Bible said to him that overcomes, he will be given a crown and a white stone. To him that overcomes, to the mother that overcomes, to the father that overcomes, to the single mom that overcomes, to the preacher that overcomes. You have a strategy to compromise and find it easy, but you decided to stand alone to the politician that overcomes, to the intercessor that overcomes. Now, let me show you some strategies plicit and tend that for my message to be as simple as possible tonight, I hope it still is. Strategies for challenging times. If you don't have any battle before you now, don't be flattered. Life is still joking with you. Keep rising, keep shining, keep growing, keep living long. Can I tell you don't claim long life if you don't know how to fight don't desire longevity. If you don't know how to fight, I'll give you four keys. If you're ready, shout I'm ready. Number one. The first scriptural strategy for surviving challenging times. Are you ready when challenges mount up before you? It doesn't matter whether it comes as confrontations from systems, from structures, from demons, from men. Your health doesn't matter. First key, be strong in the Lord. Be strong in the Lord. Write that down efficients Chapter six hundreds ten. I wish that we read this from amplified. Otherwise that's fine, we work with KJV. Be strong in the Lord. The Bible says, in conclusion, be strong in the Lord. Watch this be empower through your union with him. It says, draw your strength from him. That strength, which is boundless might provides. Be strong, be strong, Ah, be strong, be strong in the Lord in the name of Jesus. When challenges turn before you, you must learn to draw strength. The word be strong means draw strength. That immediately suggests that if you do not have a functional relationship with the Holy Ghost, because he is the spirit of power, a way together. The Bible says, if you turn aside in the day of battle, talk to me believers. It is because your strength is how do you grow strength in the spirit by pressing to have a functional knowledge of God? It provides in my study of scripture, and I've studied the Bible a bit. When you study the Bible, there is no other portion of Scripture I am aware of that has the richest compendium, the richest capture of God's character on display in one chapter of the Bible. Some one O three Are we together? So we know God by learning his character. Number two, we know God by learning his ways, his principles, his modus operandi. You can study the ways of God to know God. Number Three, we know God by studying his power. You can study the dynamics of his power. Efficients Chapter one, from verse nineteen, Paul began to pray from verse sixteen that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened, flooded with light. Amplified says that we may know the hope of his calling, and so on and so forth. Then when we get to verse nineteen, he prays ephicients one nineteen, that we may know the exceeding greatness of His power. To us, what will believe the exceeding greatness of His power? Something happens to you when you know how powerful God is. I have spoken once and twice have we heard that power belongs to God. When you will come into an experiential understanding of how powerful God is, it plans faith Bible. Faith is derived from your encounter. Is someone learning that by you I can run through a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall? Some sixty six verse three say onto God, how terrible a doubt in thy walks? He says, it is true the greatness of your power that your enemies will submit themselves to you. Is someone learning is a God of power? He is? He is. Miriam wrote a song attesting to his power, and she said, I will sing on to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously. He said, the horses and its rider have been thrown into the sea. The God of power, the God of grace. So when you know God, by learning his character, it can empower you to judge prophecies. Someone can speak to you and you know that this prophetic word is inconsistent. If you come to me and say I will die tomorrow, I will ask you it's their hope. If you say no, I'll say, God bless you. Get out of my way. There's something about the character of God that fights that prophecy, because I know from his character that the Lord is gracious and compassionate. Number Two, that to him that is joined to the living, there is still hope. It's impossible to receive a word and in verdict. Even if you are Hezekiah, there is still hope. I went together. So the knowledge of God's character can help you to judge prophecy. It's true, the knowledge of his ways. Moses pride and said, show me your ways. Then he said show me your glory. His glory is trapped in his ways. It's called the ancient part Jeremiah six sixteen. That you stand in the way, and that a part are we together, and that you ask for it when you find it. You walk in that part, and you will find rest. You will come into your sabbath in experience. You can know God by studying the mysteries of the Kingdom Matthew thirteen eleven. It has been given onto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. Allelujah. He showed his ways to Moses, the Bible says, but to the nation of Israel, they saw his act. If we're still together, say amen, Allelujah. So you draw, I'm giving you the first key scriptural strategies for challenging times. Number one, be strong in the Lord, and that strength comes as a direct product of a functional relationship with Jesus Christ, a functional relationship with the Holy Spirit. Recall I told you that there are four major encounters that a believer must have. Remember sound of Reviver number one, and encounter with Jesus, the Son of the Living God. Number two. And encounter with the person and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. You need both. It's important. The Holy Spirit is called the paraclet from the Greek word paracletos alos paracletos another one who is sent or a similar one to stand. The word alos means of a similar content, of a similar material, an extension of the same. So he's the paraclet of the Father. He's the strengthener. He is the standby, he's the comforter. Are we together? He's the teacher, he's the guide. He comes to the believer. He is God's gift to the believer. The Holy Spirit is what the Bible caused the blessing. The blessing is not just cars and houses. No, the Blessing of Abraham talks of justification by faith. Then it gives you access to the promise of the Spirit. And that's what the Bible caused the blessing. The blessing the Holy Spirit. You can strengthen a mortal man to manifest godlike possibilities. You must learn to draw your strength from Him. The Bible says, he that is joined to Christ is one spirit. Look or please you want to build a functional relationship with Jesus, I give you three keys. Still on point one, but I'm digressing to add flesh to your understanding. Number one, you must develop a systemic prayer life, a systemic, consistent prayer life. To the one who desires a functional relationship with God, prayer cannot be circumstantial. Prayer cannot be conditional. If your prayer life is epileptic, so will go your destiny. You're up today, you're down tomorrow. Away together, you must commit yourself to a systemic prayer life. In the Bible, they call a certain hour the hour of prayer. You must through discipline. There is no gift of prayer. It's a product of discipline. Are we together now? Yes, there is the spirit of prayer. Are we together? But you must take advantage of that enabling grace and submit yourself to prayer Chapter six and verse four. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the world. Notice the order to prayer first, then the ministry of the world. Allelujah. You'll never enjoy a rich relationship with the Holy Ghost if you're not given to prayer. You must invest time. America, give God time. Believe us, give God time. Now. I appreciate the fact that we live in the world, an economic context where you have to make ends meet. I understand I'm not insensitive to your needs. But let me charge you. And speaking from America to the nations of the earth, God is calling believers to give him time. Give him time. There are many things we seek that can only be found in his presence, because a man can receive nothing truly except an unless it is given to him from above. Is that true? The blessings that come from one encounter in the place of prayer can redefine your next decade, can redefine the next twenty years of your life. It is true, allelujah. You can draw favor from the place of prayer. You can draw wisdom from the place of prayer, and that will already rewrite the narrative of your destiny. Prayer is not a burden. And when I talk of prayer, I'm not talking of the religiosity of prayer. The scribes and the Pharisees were prayer for but their prayer did not produce power because behind their prayer life was a desire to show people they were spiritual. Now I'm not talking of this falsehood around the prayer ministry. I'm talking of a dog get determination to build a functional relationship that is provable, provable, provable. Now you can say you know me, but it's up to me to reply back and say it's true, I know you am I right on that. So many people can say I know God. But it's one thing for God to say I know you too. I know you. There is a coynonia that happens. A participation is sharing together. We are not strangers to one another. If someone learning you want to be strong in the Lord, you must be given to the ministry of prayer. Number two. You want to be strong in the Lord, you must submit to the truths of scripture. You must submit to the truths of scripture. Don't just open up your Bible and read it religiously, believe the things that are written there. Allelujah, prays the name of the Lord. Now you must grow in the knowledge of God. If you don't submit to growing in the knowledge of God through a consistent systemic study of scripture, you cannot be strong in the Lord. But the people that do know their God, they shall be strong. Someone say I receive strength, Say I will be strong. I will be strong in the midst of storms. I will be strong. Allelujah. So the second strategy very quickly, so that we can pray. I hope you are learning so far. The second strategy. Are you ready walk and leave by the principles of the Word of God. Walk and leave by the principles of the Word of God. Walk and leave by the principles of the Word of God. In other words, words, leave by the word. Don't just hear the word, don't just study the word literally. Let the Word of God be the governing principle around your life. Walk and leave by the principles of the Word of God. Matthew, Chapter four and verse four. Jesus is speaking his response to Satan. Man shall not leave by bread alone. You know what bread means in this context, It means that which is of earthly origin. Man shall not leave by skill alone. Man shall not leave by your certificate alone. Man shall not live by your human efforts alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. I'll show you another scripture very quickly, Psalm eighty nine give us from verse thirty four and verse thirty five. Psalm eighty nine, thirty four and thirty nine. Dave soon will sing the song Spirit lead me. So just prepare, just saense in my heart that you just sing that song once twice, and then it will be a word of encouragement for someone. My covenant. Believe us We're still together, my covenant. Will I not break this is God speaking, nor al tather thing that is gone out of my lips. Thirty five. It says, once have eyes sworn in my holiness that I will not lie onto Joshua Sellman. That means if he told you he will lift you, he will lift you. If he told you you will come out, then you will come out. Now it's up to you to believe. I have taught you that when God says it, it doesn't automatically mean it will come to pass. He will not force his word on you, else he will become a demon. He gave you the power to choose setting before your life and death, blessing and cursing. You are going to have to work in partnership with him. You know what amen means. Amen should not originally really Amen should not just be something you chant in church. Amen is actually a lifestyle of alignment to the speakings of God. So you can verbalize amen and not manifest amen. Amen is beyond saying it. Amen is a capture of your willingness to align with the speakings of God. So an individual may not verbalize amen yet in his life it is Amen. Away together now and someone can shout Amen, but walk in perpetual disalignment. So next time you say amen, know that you're verbalizing. It is just one part. You have to be determined to take advantage of His grace to be on the Lord side. I preach a message like that, and it's worth listening to if you care who is on the Lord side. It's a powerful message you want to listen to. Are weay together my covenant? Will I not break nor alter the thing that is gone forth from my mouth? Ladies and gentlemen, There are a plethora of promises, a plethora of promises that have been proposed by God to the believer. You find that in Second Peter, chapter one, particularly verse four, Verse three says, grace and peace be multiplied onto you. Are we together through the knowledge of Jesus you know and all of that? And then the three says, according us his power, as his divine power, have given us all things that pertain onto life and godliness, But that this comes through the knowledge of Him that has called us into glory and virtue. If you care, shout us four with me, ready one to go whereby aha are given onto us exceeding great and precious, that by these promises we might be partakers of His divine nature haven't escaped the corruption that is in the world through lost our Bible. Students, you see that. So the Bible says we have been given exceeding great and precious promises. Again, that's the name of one salmon you want to listen to. To exceeding great and precious promises. It's important for you to know what God has said about you. And in case you've forgotten, let me remind you for a moment. He said, you are the head and not the tale. The question is do you believe it? He says, you are above only, only only, and never beneath. He said a thousands shall fall by your side, and ten thousands shall fall by your right side, but none shall hurt you. With your eyes, shall you see and the reward of the wicked? It's true. He said, the works of your hands are blessed. Did he not say you will be exalted above all the nations of the earth, and that this blessing will come upon you and overtake you. He said, he will lose the loins of kings for your sake, that they would desire to eat your flesh. They will stumble, and they will fall it's written in the Bible. They are called exceeding great and precious promises. Did he not say, the fool of your days you will fulfill? Am I right on that the day that be planted in the house of God, they will flourish in the courts of our God. That even in old age there will be fat and they will be flourishing. My Bible says the path of the just. Sorry to correct you, the path of Joshua Sellman is as a shining light, and that shining brighter and brighter, more and more onto the perfect day. It means to be committed to literally run your life using this software, this feel called the Word of God. Like a card depends on gas, away together. There's no card that does not depend on anything. If it's not gas, it's electricity, you recharge it. Am I right? Yes, every card depends on something to energize it, to power it to run. So to live by faith does not just mean to confess the word of God. That's wonderful, but it means number one, that you must have a determination in your heart that the Word of God will be exalted above feelings, above thoughts, that it must become absolute. Listen, the word of God must gain supremacy above every other thought, above every other opinion. That means it does not matter what I feel, whatever the Word of God says, I run my life by that software away together because you see the power of God only. Please listen. The power of God is managed by the will of God, so that you don't make the power of God do just anything you wanted to do. The power of God is not a spiritual mechanism for fulfilling any losts No, the power of God only goes the direction of the will of God. So there are many people who believe they are working by faith. The object of your expectation is already outside of the will of God. So it doesn't matter what confession they make, it will not come to pass because it is inconsistent with the will of God. Bible faith begins when the will of God is known. And there are two ways, in fact, three ways to know the will of God. Number one Scripture, the Word of God has written. It's a compendium of the will of God. Number two, the unique ministry of the Holy Spirit to you as a revealer of the mind of God. Number three the Prophetic. These are the three channels based on Scripture for discerning and accessing the will of God. I repeat again for your learning. Number one, the written word of God is the first and principal basis for extracting the will of God as far as your life is concerned. Number two, the unique ministry of the Holy Spirit as the revealer of the will of God. The Bible says in Second Corinthians, from verse eight you read downwards, it says, the Holy Spirit can such the mind of the Father and to reveal to us the things that are freely given. And then the ministry of the Prophetic. Hallelujah, America, Coinonia, Global Body of Christ. Live by the Word of God, by the message of God. I can tell you the reason why we're able to do this much for the Kingdom. It is because we carried our frail lives incapacitated by every definition. And we handed that life and covered it with the word of God. And look what is made out of us. It pays to submit to the word of God. Lead to you plus the word of God's called a giant. Frail you plus the word of God will be called a giant Allelujah. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves, the Bible says, but that our sufficiency is of God, who has made us abled ministers. When you find ordinary people doing much for the kingdom. You know, I was meditating really this morning, and I was just overwhelmed by the goodness of God over my life. And then I had a little clip the picture of what happened here in this auditorium, and I was just reminiscent. Now, I've seen many of these things, and you think that after seeing stadiums and seeing auditorium's part, I would get so familiar. I was just overwhelmed by the goodness and the kindness of God. And you know what happened. I remember again those days in my vision. Little may not known me away together. And yet he proposed to me that if I believed him, he would take me to the nations to serve his grace God for you. Allelujah. Someone learning, never conclude on a man who respects the word of God. You are making a mistake when you find him. God, I don't care how frail, I don't care how weak, I don't care how failed that man is. Provided you would decide to exalt the world of God above and beyond anything, you can start and you can emerge in the name of Jesus. So in addition to being strong, you must make a commitment. Ladies and gentlemen, hear me. Life begins when you respect the word of God. Allelujah, and let me tell you how to walk it. I'll tell you how to live by the word of God. Number one, run your life by scriptures before you execute any goal, any desire, any whatever. Find scriptures that support what you are doing, and then investigate whether or not your goals are consistent with the will of God. Because you see, the Bible is a prophetic book. You can make it speak any language you wanted to speak. You can manipulate the Bible to respond to your loss. So it's not enough that you find a scripture. You must investigate using these three channels. Scripture itself, the ministry of the holy goes, and of course the ministry of the prophetic very fine. Whether what you are embarking on is the will of God, I give you an example. Talk to me, believers. How many of you believe it is God's will to establish you. How many of you believe you will be a better Christian if you own your home. How many of you believe that if God empowers you, will give you room to serve His purposes. How many of you believe fruitfulness is the will of God. How many of you believe length of days is the will of God. How many of you believe irresponsible, prosperous, godly home according to some one twelve, is the will of God. How many of you believe healing and health is the will of God. How many of you believe that the territorial influence of the church is the will of God. How many of you believe that salvation is the will of God. How many of you believe that attaining onto spiritual maturity for the believer is the will of God. How many of you believe America for Jesus is the will of God. Nigeria for Jesus is the will of God. God. Now for Jesus, the will of God, Jamaiicah for Jesus, the will of God, China for Jesus, the will of God, Iraq for Jesus, the will of God, Iran for Jesus, the will of God. Until the knowledge of the glory of the Lord converts the whole earth as what has the sea. Now listen, I'm teaching you how to live by the word of God. You don't cook up opinions that come from your lost and then just sanwich it to the word of God and try to manipulate the hand of God to bring it to pass. The believer does not live that way. It's important you are aware of the promises of God. That's where your confidence comes from, when you know you are in the will of God. Here's how the Bible puts it. And this is the confidence that we have that if we ask anything that is in accordance to His will, Man of God, is it the will of God for you to use your church as a soul winning platform? I answer you without prophesying, yes, yes, yes. So if you are not aware of the will of God, you cannot live by the word of God. Allelujah. Most times people resort to the word of God as a last and final opinion, after exhausting your intellect, exhausting all kinds of options, forever, Oh Lord. The Bible says, your word is settled in Heaven. Away together Heaven and earth will pass away. But it says not one jot of his world will fail. The word of God is believable. You can trust the word of God. You can run your life by the word of God. Let the Word of God be the constitution that governs your life. Let it be your modus operandi. Away together that any other way and any other path that is outside of or inconsistent with the Word of God, you must be determined to shelve it away peacefully and live by the Word. Now I tell you this, for a while, the word of God may not seem to produce. Be patient, but it will certainly produce. The Bible says he shall be like a true that is planted by the river side, which yield its food in season. May not be every day, but it will yield its food in season, whose live does not weather. And whatsoever you do, it prospers. If you're learning, say amen. Scriptural strategies for challenging times. So America, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, everywhere across the globe, Europe, China, the Caribbeans. Listening to me, I'm encouraging you that when you face challenging times. Number one, be strong in the Lord. Draw your strength from the richness of your union with the Holy Spirit through prayer, away together, and then be determined to live by the word. Now watch this, continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house. Did each their meet with gladness and with singleness of heart. As a result, they were praising God and having favor with all men. And the Lord added daily to the church, not to the person, to the church, the gathering of believers, as many as should be said. It is dangerous to be in isolation, especially in these end times. Now there are many believers who believe that they do not need to be part of a larger spiritual family, and they sustain that orientation to their peril, because when Satan strikes, there are times you may not have the strength and the energy to fight, but you can leverage on the corporate community living for your victory. Do you believe this? I will always give this, Give this example, watch this. Imagine say during winter or so you are able, you have your call, You put your call together to light your fire. How many of you know that if you pick one hot cold and you'll bring it out of that collection and drop it, you don't need to blow any air by itself. It begins to grow cold away together. So the power its ability to produce heat for your home. It's in its togetherness. When Satan wants to destroy an individual, among the many strategies that he deploys is that he uses offense to cause you to fight everyone who can help you, the people who represent your community, your prayer friends, you know, those who can stand with you, can believe God with you through a fense. When you fight them and you are alone, then he strikes you away together. It's true. It's the reason why part of the manifestation of the spirit of depression you see, is that they always want to be alone. The devil isolates them. They hate family, they hate togetherness. It's because you want to strike them. That means where you do not have the courage to stand for Jesus because you are alone, in the presence of a company of like minded friends, like minded believers, it will now help to plants the confide in you to stand for Jesus. Is that true? Sometimes, in all honesty, it can be difficult to stand alone. Not impossible, but difficult to stand alone. But if there's a prayer friend, someone you can call and say, listen, I need to open up to you. I'm going through a crisis. Can you stand with me? Can you stand by me? That's the reason why you see. Church members must be trained to know that they have a role to play in helping people who come to church love Jesus. But when it has to do with your Holy of Holies, There are people you must have, like minded people that when you say I'm trusting God for big things, they don't say I can that be done? No, they are people of like mind. Away together and for someone who is desperately praying for good friends. People who can wake you up and say you can make it. Don't give up you love Jesus. People who can call you to order where you are deviating in love and say no, this is not you. Get back to order, awake without that slippers. I pray that you will find such people, and I pray that when they come, you don't drive them with bad behavior. Allelujah, number four, number four. The third key that comes as a survival strategy for challenging times is that you should not be alone. Don't be alone, refuse to be alone. You must be able to hold the arm of someone who loves God. Let me give you number four very quickly. Number one, be strong in the Lord. Number two walk and live by the principles of the Word of God. Live by faith, live by the Word of God, not just speaking it, but live in it. Number three. Embrace the spiritual family system for your strength, for your comfort.
