He had 0:03:43.960 --> 0:03:48.760 the difficult task of preaching through his own tears into 0:03:48.800 --> 0:03:53.440 the tragedy of the people. In Lamentations chapter three, we 0:03:53.520 --> 0:03:56.560 received a poetic collection of some of his thoughts after 0:03:56.600 --> 0:03:59.760 he revised those prayers, and I want to share with 0:03:59.800 --> 0:04:03.160 you from verse seventeen, as he writes about his feelings 0:04:03.920 --> 0:04:08.720 from this place. Here's what he says, Lamentations three seventeen. 0:04:09.280 --> 0:04:13.160 I have been deprived of peace. I have forgotten what 0:04:13.400 --> 0:04:19.440 prosperity is. In one translation, he says, I have rejected peace. 0:04:20.720 --> 0:04:24.159 He says, I can't let peace in. I've got so 0:04:24.240 --> 0:04:26.760 much anxiety, so much fear. Because Jesus said in John chapter eight that 0:12:03.280 --> 0:12:07.160 when he speaks, he speaks his native language. He's a 0:12:07.240 --> 0:12:10.840 liar from the beginning.
