S3E6. The Image of God in You – 6

Speaker A 00:00:02 We'll read tonight from the Gospel of John, chapter one, verse one. Speaker A 00:00:06 This is the scripture we've been dealing with for the last several days. Speaker A 00:00:11 In the beginning was the Word. Speaker A 00:00:14 The Word was with God, and the Word was God. Speaker A 00:00:16 And the same was in the beginning with God. Speaker A 00:00:19 And all things were made by him. Speaker A 00:00:21 And without him was not anything made that was made in him was life. Speaker A 00:00:27 Life was the light of men. Speaker A 00:00:30 The entrance of His Word bringeth light. Speaker A 00:00:35 The Bible said his words are life. Speaker A 00:00:39 So the whole thing is connected directly and indirectly to the Word of God, isn't it? Speaker A 00:00:44 The inside of God is made relative to the Word of God. Speaker A 00:00:49 Now, you can see that that's true right down here in the 13th verse, where which were born not of the blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Speaker A 00:00:59 He relates the Word of God and God and God's will and the light of God and the life of God, the power of God, all of it is related directly to the Word of God. Speaker A 00:01:11 Now then, let's go over to the book of Joshua for a moment. Speaker A 00:01:15 We've been studying the inner image created by the Word of God. Speaker A 00:01:21 Jesus said, as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he the inner image in the inside of a man. Speaker A 00:01:30 And there's always one in there. Speaker A 00:01:33 There's no such thing as a time when there's not an image in there. Speaker A 00:01:37 It may be a distorted image. Speaker A 00:01:39 It may be an incorrect image. Speaker A 00:01:42 It may be an image based entirely on your concept of God rather than what His Word says. Speaker A 00:01:48 Or it may be an image based directly and entirely on your own personal experience. Speaker A 00:01:54 And somebody said, experience is the best teacher. Speaker A 00:01:57 Experience is the worst teacher in the world. Speaker A 00:01:58 If you don't know the Word of God, if you can't relate your experience to the Word. Speaker A 00:02:03 See, the Word's not related to your experience. Speaker A 00:02:06 Your experience is related to the Word. Speaker A 00:02:09 Your experience is categorized by the Word of God. Speaker A 00:02:12 And just because it looks some way to you doesn't just mean it's that way. Speaker A 00:02:18 Now, we've had a lot of doctrine built on experience rather than the Word of God. Speaker A 00:02:23 Or maybe had the Word of God bent or changed to fit an experience instead of the experience correctly categorized to fit the Word of God. Speaker A 00:02:34 The Word of God doesn't change, folks. Speaker A 00:02:35 And I'll tell you something. Speaker A 00:02:37 God has only one set of images on the inside of Him. Speaker A 00:02:42 And His Word will paint only that image of Jesus. Speaker A 00:02:46 His Word only paints one image of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Speaker A 00:02:50 It doesn't paint 14 different denominational ideas of it. Speaker A 00:02:54 There's only one image of it in there. Speaker A 00:02:56 Now, what you and I need to do, you see, is to find out from the Holy Spirit, by allowing him to operate in us by his word, allow him to bring what is on the inside of God to the inside of us correctly and developed in the same proportion, because whatever is in there has the ability to produce what is in there. Speaker A 00:03:19 Jesus said, I don't do anything except what I first see my father do. Speaker A 00:03:23 Well, his father wasn't walking around there in front of him. Speaker A 00:03:28 He said, I must be about my father's business. Speaker A 00:03:31 What was his Father's business? Speaker A 00:03:33 His Father's word. Speaker A 00:03:35 Now, he took the book of Isaiah one day and sat in front of a congregation of people and read from Isaiah and said, the Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Speaker A 00:03:45 You remember that, don't you? Speaker A 00:03:46 And it said, he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, to bring deliverance to the captive, to give sight to the blind, and so on, so preach the acceptable day of the Lord. Speaker A 00:03:56 And then he closed the book and said, brethren, this is revealed in your ears today. Speaker A 00:04:09 In other words, I. Speaker A 00:04:11 I am the picture of what these words are saying. Speaker A 00:04:17 I am the image of those words. Speaker A 00:04:19 I am the revelation of those words. Speaker A 00:04:22 I am what those words are talking about. Speaker A 00:04:25 It made them mad because they couldn't see it. Speaker A 00:04:28 They didn't have that kind of inner image of the Messiah. Speaker A 00:04:31 That's the problem with Israel today. Speaker A 00:04:34 Their inner image of the Messiah is an image something like James Bond or Super Duck or somebody. Speaker A 00:04:43 And I don't know how in the world God would ever get a messiah that they'll receive now. Speaker A 00:04:48 They'll receive one off of the devil. Speaker A 00:04:50 And you know what they'll receive off them? Speaker A 00:04:52 The Antichrist. Speaker A 00:04:53 And he'll stand up there all that big and tall and flash his big thing, you know, and all do his deal. Speaker A 00:05:02 And that's what they're expecting the Messiah to look like. Speaker A 00:05:04 They weren't expecting somebody that was a lamb to the slaughter, even though the word of God said that's who he would be. Speaker A 00:05:11 They weren't expecting somebody that would bear the sin of the world, even though that's what the word city would do. Speaker A 00:05:16 And it astounded Peter and James and John and all these men. Speaker A 00:05:19 When Jesus said that that's what he's going to do, they couldn't understand that. Speaker A 00:05:22 They weren't figuring on that. Speaker A 00:05:24 They were figuring on some whiz bang that go down there and get Caesar by the hair and slap him Around a little while, kick him off the throne and look like David at the height of his ministry. Speaker A 00:05:34 That's what he was supposed to look like only to the whole world. Speaker A 00:05:38 Well, they didn't realize, you see, that the Bible already said the word of God already said that David's ministry was not the best because God said he didn't want Israel to have a king. Speaker A 00:05:49 He wanted to be the king over it. Speaker A 00:05:51 Well, of course, the Bible goes ahead and says that David fulfilled the perfect will of God. Speaker A 00:05:55 But he fulfilled it because God reconciled it and made it fulfill it. Speaker A 00:06:00 Because he told Samuel, I'd rather they didn't have a king. Speaker A 00:06:03 And Samuel said, I know that and you know that, but they won't listen to me. Speaker A 00:06:05 They won't be like everybody else. Speaker A 00:06:07 Well, you can see that that vision of this king image and this brute, this super brute that they had on their minds and in their hearts, that's what they thought God was like. Speaker A 00:06:20 But Jesus said, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Speaker A 00:06:25 See, the inner image of the Messiah was distorted and it still is in the minds of some. Speaker A 00:06:32 And the Bible said, there's a veil over their eyes. Speaker A 00:06:35 Well, they don't have something stuck up over their physical eyes. Speaker A 00:06:39 There's a veil over the eyes of the spirit. Speaker A 00:06:41 See, that inner image can't form. Speaker A 00:06:44 It gets distorted every time somebody starts to look towards Jesus. Speaker A 00:06:48 This other thing is so heavy and so overpowered. Speaker A 00:06:50 But the Bible said, in these last days, praise God, that thing will be removed. Speaker A 00:06:54 I believe it's being removed now. Speaker A 00:06:56 I'm seeing some men over there now, praise God, that are beginning to see that Jesus was the Messiah. Speaker A 00:07:01 I don't see how a man can read the 53rd chapter of Isaiah, Hebrew or any other language without knowing Jesus was the Messiah. Speaker A 00:07:09 Except I see that the Bible explains why they can't see it. Speaker A 00:07:14 Isaiah started out and said, they will say that he was smitten, stricken of God. Speaker A 00:07:21 We esteemed him smitten and stricken of God. Speaker A 00:07:24 And that's exactly what they did. Speaker A 00:07:26 They thought that God punished Jesus because he stood up and said he was the Son of God. Speaker A 00:07:33 They esteemed him smitten of God. Speaker A 00:07:36 Did you ever stop and wonder how come that centurion that was standing there when Jesus was crucified said, this must be the Son of God. Speaker A 00:07:44 Now, his inner image of the Son of God was not something that was like it should have been. Speaker A 00:07:50 His inner image of something that had to be. Speaker A 00:07:52 The Son of God was like the inner image of most sinners. Speaker A 00:07:56 It's Very immature. Speaker A 00:07:58 And their inner image of God is monstrous. Speaker A 00:08:04 Had to be the work of God. Speaker A 00:08:05 I mean, it killed everybody in town. Speaker A 00:08:07 Had to been God. Speaker A 00:08:09 And I've heard Christians stand up. Speaker A 00:08:11 I heard one right here in this town, made me mad. Speaker A 00:08:14 But I wasn't my business to say anything about it. Speaker A 00:08:18 After you had a tornado here and blew a few buildings down, fellows stood up and said, well, we got visited by God last night. Speaker A 00:08:29 Had to be God, see, he blew somebody's barn over. Speaker A 00:08:33 Wonder what that sorry outfit was doing. Speaker A 00:08:35 If God was coming through here teaching somebody a lesson or two, why didn't he blow your barn down, you ugly thing. Speaker A 00:08:46 Now, if he's going to do that, he hadn't blown everybody's house down in town because every one of us deserved to get you out. Speaker A 00:08:51 Blown over for something that right. Speaker A 00:08:55 All of you that are spotless, you go on home now because I'm not even preaching to you anyway. Speaker A 00:09:03 You follow what I'm saying to you? Speaker A 00:09:04 Really, it's the truth. Speaker A 00:09:06 But that inner image that has been distorted, it's not of God. Speaker A 00:09:10 Actually, you know what that image is? Speaker A 00:09:12 What Satan would like to be? Speaker A 00:09:16 He said, I'll be like God. Speaker A 00:09:18 And he built him a big old image in there that somebody would buy. Speaker A 00:09:21 And then when you take that image and call it God, he receives the worship from it. Speaker A 00:09:27 Even though it's deception, he's deceived. Speaker A 00:09:31 You blame your sickness and disease on God and put him as the cause of it. Speaker A 00:09:37 And Satan receives the worship of a godly being. Speaker A 00:09:42 He receives the same worship from that that you give God when you give him the credit for healing. Speaker A 00:09:46 You see, even though he had to lie to do it, and he knows it's not real worship, he accepts it anyway. Speaker A 00:09:54 It satisfies his stupidity. Speaker A 00:09:57 Anybody that I tell you, really, anybody that thought they was big enough beat God in the first place got to be stupid. Speaker A 00:10:06 Isn't that the truth? Speaker A 00:10:07 I mean, that's just not much intelligence as far as he's concerned. Speaker A 00:10:10 Now, he's not dumb, he's pretty smart, but he's stupid. Speaker A 00:10:16 I've seen a lot of smart men that were stupid, didn't know how to use their intelligence. Speaker A 00:10:20 Like one man said he met some boys down at the theological seminary one time is educated beyond their intellect. Speaker A 00:10:28 You know, I've met some of those guys. Speaker A 00:10:32 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:10:35 I want to talk to you tonight about bringing that image to a mature state. Speaker A 00:10:41 Now, we've talked about the three things that cause it to begin. Speaker A 00:10:45 Jesus said the sower sows the word. Speaker A 00:10:47 And he says you know that the kingdom of God is like planting a seed and he puts it in the ground, goes to sleep day and night, you know, and doesn't know how it grows, but it does grow. Speaker A 00:10:56 And said it comes up first the plant and then the ear and then the full stalk and then the harvest. Speaker A 00:11:01 And when the harvest comes, then the. Speaker A 00:11:03 Then you go in and set the sickle to it and immediately you take the harvest. Speaker A 00:11:07 Harvest is all at once but to grow. Speaker A 00:11:10 And it isn't all at once. Speaker A 00:11:11 And when you plant the seed is not the time to harvest. Speaker A 00:11:15 Now there's sometimes God will give you an instant crop. Speaker A 00:11:19 Do you know that a lot of times you plant the seed and God will just cause the thing to spring up there at the same time you planted it and you put the seed to healing in there and all of a sudden on the inside of you, you thought, whoo, that's mine. Speaker A 00:11:31 Praise God, and just harvest that dude all at one time. Speaker A 00:11:36 But did you know, I have found out that that is the exception and not the rule, that a lot of times we've cost ourselves from living in divine health rather than just believing for healing after you get sick by not allowing the inner image of yourself being healed by the stripes of Jesus to grow to maturity so that it can maintain your health instead of just having to call on it after you get sick. Speaker A 00:12:06 We've robbed ourselves of these things. Speaker A 00:12:08 We've robbed ourselves of living in the abundance of God rather than wait until you get where you can't pay your bills and then cry out for God to help you. Speaker A 00:12:18 Now let me show you how to do this. Speaker A 00:12:21 The three things we talked about that get it started. Speaker A 00:12:23 Number one was a decision. Speaker A 00:12:26 The decision to do it. Speaker A 00:12:28 You had to make a decision to be saved. Speaker A 00:12:32 You had to make a decision to accept Jesus. Speaker A 00:12:36 You didn't get saved and didn't make a decision to do it. Speaker A 00:12:39 Now, some of you tried that for a long time. Speaker A 00:12:40 It didn't work, did it? Speaker A 00:12:42 There came a time sometime. Speaker A 00:12:44 And you know, that's been the success of Billy Graham's ministry. Speaker A 00:12:47 Really, when you get right down to it, he calls for a decision, brother. Speaker A 00:12:50 He don't call for it tomorrow or next day. Speaker A 00:12:52 He calls for it right now. Speaker A 00:12:53 He'll preach the word of God for a few minutes and call for a decision. Speaker A 00:12:57 He doesn't put it off. Speaker A 00:12:58 He'll preach every sermon I ever heard that man preach. Speaker A 00:13:02 He calls for a decision on what he preached about. Speaker A 00:13:05 And he calls it exactly what it is as a decision. Speaker A 00:13:08 I've met some of the Highest paid salesmen in the world. Speaker A 00:13:12 My dad was in the insurance business for between 25 and 30 years and was one of the best in the business. Speaker A 00:13:19 God blessed him. Speaker A 00:13:20 My dad was a tither since before I was ever born. Speaker A 00:13:23 Tithed every paycheck he ever got that I ever knew anything about. Speaker A 00:13:26 Dad started that way back there years ago, before he knew how to believe God. Speaker A 00:13:30 He didn't know much about the Bible, but he found in there what had happened to a tither. Speaker A 00:13:34 So he just started doing. Speaker A 00:13:35 He had two bank accounts. Speaker A 00:13:37 I'll never forget it. Speaker A 00:13:38 He had two bank accounts and he'd get a paycheck. Speaker A 00:13:41 He'd go to the bank, he'd strip that 10% off the top and put it over here in the tithe of the account. Speaker A 00:13:46 He'd put the other end of the account. Speaker A 00:13:47 And that's still a good practice guarantee you that's still a good way to do it. Speaker A 00:13:52 He disciplined himself to that. Speaker A 00:13:53 And I've never known a day in my life that my dad wasn't a tither. Speaker A 00:13:57 And God did some things for him in his business. Speaker A 00:14:00 In fact, my dad had a job all the way through the Depression. Speaker A 00:14:03 Never was without a job. Speaker A 00:14:05 Now, he didn't know much about believing God. Speaker A 00:14:07 He didn't know how to handle it very good. Speaker A 00:14:08 He told me, he said, you know, I've looked at the blessings of God that I walked across and didn't even know they were there. Speaker A 00:14:14 And he said, it's absolutely scary. Speaker A 00:14:17 But he said, thank God he did get a few of them to me, enough to get him through, you know. Speaker A 00:14:22 And dad hired and trained salesman. Speaker A 00:14:25 Dad was a good one. Speaker A 00:14:27 I'm convinced God taught him how. Speaker A 00:14:30 I remember when he went to work in the insurance business, he was already 44 years old and I was, you know, teenage boy. Speaker A 00:14:37 And he went, this old boy came by there and sold his insurance policy to him on me. Speaker A 00:14:43 And so dad liked the looks of the thing and hired out to him and they gave him his supplies and stuff and told him to go in there and read on this stuff for a few days. Speaker A 00:14:52 Said, we'll have a man that's going to come down here from the home office in a few days going to train you. Speaker A 00:14:57 Well, when he got down there, dad had already written something like, oh, I don't know, he had 15, 20 contracts he'd written. Speaker A 00:15:06 This thing looked good to him. Speaker A 00:15:07 And he got into it and read over it, you know, he said, you don't know anything about the contract. Speaker A 00:15:12 He said, I don't. Speaker A 00:15:13 Why? Speaker A 00:15:13 He said, I don't know about the contract. Speaker A 00:15:14 I was selling it, I wasn't teaching it. Speaker A 00:15:19 He said, I believe the thing's good. Speaker A 00:15:21 I got my own money in it and that's all I needed to know. Speaker A 00:15:23 Said I just need. Speaker A 00:15:24 He said, I've had some trouble filling this stuff out. Speaker A 00:15:28 So the guy sat down there and taught him how to fill them out and went on and left town. Speaker A 00:15:31 That's all the training he ever got from a home office. Speaker A 00:15:36 Wound up one of the highest production records that company has until yet. Speaker A 00:15:41 And he had been in contact with. Speaker A 00:15:43 And because of that, I've been in contact with some of the greatest salesmen in the world. Speaker A 00:15:48 I mean it. Speaker A 00:15:49 Some of the best in the business. Speaker A 00:15:51 Renowned men of salesmanship. Speaker A 00:15:54 And if you want to know the truth, they're still the highest paid profession in the world. Speaker A 00:15:58 We're fixing to outdo them with a few prophets of God that decided that they're going to act like they're supposed to act in these last days. Speaker A 00:16:06 But I learned something off these men I'll never be able to forget. Speaker A 00:16:11 I never have met a man that was capable of being better than average as a salesman that was afraid to ask for a decision. Speaker A 00:16:24 A man that is successful at selling anything is going to ask for a decision because there ain't no way he can get you money that you decide to give it to him. Speaker A 00:16:31 There's no way in the world as he robs you of it if he gets it any other way except you making a decision to do it, he'll either have to con you out of it or rob it. Speaker A 00:16:41 Isn't that right? Speaker A 00:16:41 I mean, if you don't decide he's got to deceive you or steal it. Speaker A 00:16:48 Well, God's not going to deceive you into getting saved and he's certainly not going to push it off on you. Speaker A 00:16:54 God's not going to get you saved at gunpoint. Speaker A 00:16:58 That would be a decision to do it. Speaker A 00:17:00 So the decision to move on God's word has to come first. Speaker A 00:17:04 And it has to be a quality decision. Speaker A 00:17:07 I can tell you what a quality decision is in very few words. Speaker A 00:17:12 Some of you have experienced this. Speaker A 00:17:14 You said, I believe I'm going to fast today. Speaker A 00:17:21 You're ready right now to eat the biggest dinner you ever ate in all of your life. Speaker A 00:17:27 You're fixing to walk off from that supper table tonight so stuffed you can't walk. Speaker A 00:17:36 Isn't that the truth? Speaker A 00:17:38 I know what I'm talking about, man. Speaker A 00:17:40 You know I've been there. Speaker A 00:17:41 I know you made a decision that you ought to fast is what you did. Speaker A 00:17:47 And that's no decision. Speaker A 00:17:50 Anybody knows that. Speaker A 00:17:52 But when you said, by the eternal with Jesus of Nazareth is my helper, bless God. Speaker A 00:18:02 I'm not putting a bite of food in my mouth till 6:00. Speaker A 00:18:06 And I'll believe God and Satan. Speaker A 00:18:08 I serve notice on you now that you just might as well let me alone. Speaker A 00:18:12 Cause I won't do it. Speaker A 00:18:14 Now there's a decision. Speaker A 00:18:15 It's got some quality in it. Speaker A 00:18:16 And you can't make that man eat. Speaker A 00:18:18 You can't get him to gunpoint and make him eat. Speaker A 00:18:20 You can't turn him. Speaker A 00:18:21 Why? Speaker A 00:18:22 Because of a decision? Speaker A 00:18:23 It had quality in it. Speaker A 00:18:27 Now can you just by my sharing that little thing with you right there, you can see what that firm decision, what kind of an effect it has on the image of your own self on the inside. Speaker A 00:18:38 Now when I make that kind of decision, I can't see me doing anything but fasting. Speaker A 00:18:43 See? Speaker A 00:18:48 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:18:49 Then comes the confession of the mouth. Speaker A 00:18:51 You're going to have to put words to the inner image. Speaker A 00:18:54 The words are the only thing that can get that image from the inside of you out in the hands of Jesus. Speaker A 00:19:03 As long as it's in you, it won't develop into maturity. Speaker A 00:19:09 Now the Bible said Jesus is the author of our faith, but it also said he's the finisher of our faith. Speaker A 00:19:15 The word finisher means developer. Speaker A 00:19:18 And you have to take the image on the inside, fill words with faith that frame the image. Speaker A 00:19:26 If the image is of healing, then I begin to say, I believe. Speaker A 00:19:32 I receive my healing. Speaker A 00:19:34 Now I have framed the inner image of healing with words. Speaker A 00:19:38 Just like God did when he said let there be light, he had an inner image of the universe, but it didn't get out until he said light be. Speaker A 00:19:47 You know, the Bible said the Spirit of God was moving on the face of the deep. Speaker A 00:19:51 Well, the moving of the Spirit of God didn't bring any universe into existence until he had the word to act on. Speaker A 00:19:57 And when God said light be, then the Holy Ghost took that substance of faith and turned it into the image that God had on the inside of him. Speaker A 00:20:05 Well, it's the same Holy Spirit, the same one. Speaker A 00:20:09 It's the same Creator. Speaker A 00:20:12 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:20:13 He's not only residing on the inside of you and inside of me, but you have to recognize he's residing on the inside of Jesus. Speaker A 00:20:23 And Jesus is the author of this thing and the developer of it. Speaker A 00:20:27 And if I'll call on him, that same picture in me rise up inside of him. Speaker A 00:20:31 See, when I have a picture in my heart. Speaker A 00:20:33 I can get it over to my head. Speaker A 00:20:34 If I've got a picture in my head, I can get it over to my heart. Speaker A 00:20:38 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:20:39 Well, the head's got a picture in him. Speaker A 00:20:40 Why can't the body get it across? Speaker A 00:20:43 He's the head and we're the body. Speaker A 00:20:46 It's the same Holy Spirit. Speaker A 00:20:47 Praise God. Speaker A 00:20:48 He'll do it. Speaker A 00:20:49 He'll get it done. Speaker A 00:20:50 So you have to put your mouth in line with the inner image that's in there. Speaker A 00:20:56 Then you have to put your actions in line with your mouth. Speaker A 00:20:59 You begin to do something. Speaker A 00:21:01 I learned this when I was going to Oru. Speaker A 00:21:03 I was working for the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Team. Speaker A 00:21:06 When I registered over there, they hired me as co pilot on their airplane, which put me into every crusade. Speaker A 00:21:12 Brother Robert's priest. Speaker A 00:21:14 And that's where I learned to pray for the sick. Speaker A 00:21:16 And I was working in the invalid room. Speaker A 00:21:19 And I had heard him instruct somebody this way before. Speaker A 00:21:21 So they told me what they wanted me to do back there. Speaker A 00:21:25 After they got through preaching, he got through preaching. Speaker A 00:21:27 They wanted me to instruct those people what to expect when he came down there to lay hands on them. Speaker A 00:21:32 The invalid room was where the people were that couldn't manage the crowds, the stretcher cases, terminal cancers, and every other kind of thing you could think of. Speaker A 00:21:39 And there'd be anywhere from 50 of them to highs, 250 of them in there. Speaker A 00:21:44 Sometimes room this big, full of people, every kind of a disease imaginable. Speaker A 00:21:51 And I had heard him say this. Speaker A 00:21:54 So I. Speaker A 00:21:54 I instructed the people with it to get them ready. Speaker A 00:21:58 So when he came in there to lay hands on them, they. Speaker A 00:22:00 They'd go into action. Speaker A 00:22:03 He said, if you can't do anything but wiggle your little finger, wiggle it in the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:22:09 Because you've heard the word. Speaker A 00:22:10 And when hands are laid on you believe that you receive. Speaker A 00:22:13 You, every one of you that have, have any time in full gospel circles have heard Oral Roberts preach on the point of contact. Speaker A 00:22:19 And it's one of the finest truths of the word of God that's ever been known. Speaker A 00:22:23 That point of obedience, the point of action, the time when you know it's going to come to pass. Speaker A 00:22:30 The time you set. Speaker A 00:22:31 Somebody said, I thought, God set that, or he's already set his time. Speaker A 00:22:36 He sent Jesus to the cross. Speaker A 00:22:37 He was raised from the dead. Speaker A 00:22:39 And God always said, I am. Speaker A 00:22:40 Praise God. Speaker A 00:22:41 He's always on. Speaker A 00:22:43 It's you that needs to get on. Speaker A 00:22:47 And I've seen people literally do that I've seen. Speaker A 00:22:49 People couldn't move anything but their eyes and start wiggling their eyeballs and then that action spread all over them in the name of Jesus and come up out of their life. Speaker A 00:22:58 Action in line with your faith, actually. Speaker A 00:23:01 Action in line with your words, in line with your faith. Speaker A 00:23:06 In line with the inner image. Speaker A 00:23:07 In line with the word of God. Speaker A 00:23:09 In line with God. Speaker A 00:23:11 And that brings heaven and you in a corporate action together. Speaker A 00:23:15 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:23:16 Now then, how do you get that thing to maturity? Speaker A 00:23:22 God told Joshua here in this first chapter of Joshua in the eighth verse, this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe. Speaker A 00:23:41 There it is. Speaker A 00:23:42 That you may see. Speaker A 00:23:44 Now, he's not talking about seeing with the physical eye. Speaker A 00:23:46 He's talking about seeing with the spiritual eye. Speaker A 00:23:49 That you may observe to do. Speaker A 00:23:53 Now, he didn't say that you might observe, so you'll know. Speaker A 00:23:57 He said so that you might observe to do. Speaker A 00:24:02 When you get a material inner image on the inside of you, then you can act on it. Speaker A 00:24:06 See, you can act on it. Speaker A 00:24:09 One of the easiest things in the world for me to do is act. Speaker A 00:24:11 Healed. Speaker A 00:24:12 Once I see by his stripes, I was healed inside of me. Speaker A 00:24:16 Even when my body maybe didn't look like it or was still in pain. Speaker A 00:24:19 It's easy for me now. Speaker A 00:24:21 It was hard for me at first. Speaker A 00:24:23 I remember when I broke my toe that time, man, life, anything, I didn't feel like I was healed. Speaker A 00:24:28 But, you know, the more I stayed in the word of God and stayed, kept that before me and I began to protect it. Speaker A 00:24:34 I remember the next morning when I got up, when I woke up, it felt to me like Satan was sitting right there over me, waiting for me to open my eyes. Speaker A 00:24:42 When I opened my eyes, he said, why don't you step down on the floor and see if that foot's healed? Speaker A 00:24:46 I said, I don't have to see if the word of God. Speaker A 00:24:48 So. Speaker A 00:24:50 And at 15 minutes or 2 in the morning last night, I believed that I received my healing. Speaker A 00:24:56 That's when I got it. Speaker A 00:24:58 He said, you haven't yet got it. Speaker A 00:24:59 I said, yeah, I do. Speaker A 00:25:00 That's when I got it. Speaker A 00:25:00 It was a quarter of two this morning. Speaker A 00:25:02 That's when I believe I receive it. Speaker A 00:25:03 See, I don't just believe I got it after I feel the difference in the foot. Speaker A 00:25:08 I have to believe that I receive it when I pray. Speaker A 00:25:11 Because if I'm going to wait before I ever release my faith, I never will get there. Speaker A 00:25:17 See, some of you look at me. Speaker A 00:25:21 This is strange. Speaker A 00:25:24 That's because you don't have any inner image. Speaker A 00:25:26 You're trying to see it all with those two eyeballs. Speaker A 00:25:31 And the physical. Speaker A 00:25:32 And the physical man can't see the spiritual life. Speaker A 00:25:35 He can't see it. Speaker A 00:25:36 The things that your physical eye can see are tempered, temporary. Speaker A 00:25:40 They are not eternal. Speaker A 00:25:42 The things which cannot be seen with the eyes are the things that are eternal. Speaker A 00:25:46 The reason that they're eternal is because they're spiritual. Speaker A 00:25:50 And spiritual things are seen with the spiritual eye. Speaker A 00:25:53 But when you can see with your spiritual eye, I'll tell you, bless God. Speaker A 00:25:57 You can see in more vivid color. Speaker A 00:25:59 You can see more real than you can with these physical eyes. Speaker A 00:26:03 Praise God. Speaker A 00:26:04 I began to see with my eye of faith and began to teach my children that way. Speaker A 00:26:09 And one night I was leaving the service, and my little boy's in the back seat, and we're riding along there. Speaker A 00:26:13 You know, we just left the service, driving home. Speaker A 00:26:16 Gloria was driving. Speaker A 00:26:17 I sitting over on the right hand, just sitting there being quiet. Speaker A 00:26:19 And John said, daddy, what would we do if we didn't have three eyes? Speaker A 00:26:30 Now, that got through to him. Speaker A 00:26:31 See, he knows how to believe God. Speaker A 00:26:33 So does Kelly. Speaker A 00:26:34 They both do. Speaker A 00:26:34 They know how to believe God. Speaker A 00:26:36 They know they have to believe. Speaker A 00:26:37 They receive it and then they get it. Speaker A 00:26:39 They've been trained that way. Speaker A 00:26:40 And to tell them you have to wait to see it before you get it. Speaker A 00:26:43 They'll laugh at you because they don't want to wait that long. Speaker A 00:26:49 Why wait? Speaker A 00:26:51 Some people look at me just as strange when they find out I bought my boy a motorcycle when he's 7 years old. Speaker A 00:26:56 Can he ride it? Speaker A 00:26:58 Well, certainly he can ride it. Speaker A 00:27:02 Of course, it's not but about that long. Speaker A 00:27:07 In fact, it weighs 86 pounds, full of gas. Speaker A 00:27:12 But now somebody says, well, isn't he awful young? Speaker A 00:27:14 Well, folks, he don't ride it to town and back. Speaker A 00:27:18 He rides it around the backyard and out on the country, and we'll go out there and ride. Speaker A 00:27:23 But that boy can ride it just as good as I can. Speaker A 00:27:26 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:27:27 I found out that children were as spiritually capable and as spiritually unlimited as an adult is. Speaker A 00:27:38 And I found out I could deal with him on that level. Speaker A 00:27:41 I could preach the gospel to him without trying to water it down mentally. Speaker A 00:27:44 Now, if I preach it to him on a spiritual level, he doesn't have the mental concept to challenge it, so he just believes it. Speaker A 00:27:52 And I found out that his inner concept of God is better than his mental concept. Speaker A 00:27:58 He's where he ought to be. Speaker A 00:28:00 He's spiritually ahead. Speaker A 00:28:02 But you boil it down to his mental level and he'll mentally challenge it just exactly like anybody else does with their carnal mind. Speaker A 00:28:10 So you keep his inner image of God and so forth in a position where it's immature, just like everything else is. Speaker A 00:28:16 If you teach him and train him, raise him in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord, like the Word of God says, so he gets older, he won't turn from it. Speaker A 00:28:24 The inner image is bigger than the mental image. Speaker A 00:28:27 He doesn't have that Easter bunny Santa Claus image of Jesus. Speaker A 00:28:33 He has a Bible image of him. Speaker A 00:28:37 And it works. Speaker A 00:28:38 It'll work. Speaker A 00:28:39 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:28:40 Now then, notice he said, you will observe to do according all that is written therein. Speaker A 00:28:47 How would you like to be able to do everything that's written in the Word of God? Speaker A 00:28:53 Wow. Speaker A 00:28:54 No wonder, he said, and then you will have good success and you will prosper. Speaker A 00:28:59 Why, anybody that could do the whole Bible's bound to prosper. Speaker A 00:29:02 That's what Jesus was doing. Speaker A 00:29:05 That's what he was doing was the whole word of God. Speaker A 00:29:09 And he said himself, you know, he said, it'd be easier for a jot or a tittle or the earth in the heavens to fail than it would one word of my Father's Word to fail. Speaker A 00:29:18 Not one word of it will fail. Speaker A 00:29:19 Well, if one word of it won't fail, how much more would the whole thing not fail? Speaker A 00:29:25 So meditation in the Word is the way that you develop the inner image, not just study. Speaker A 00:29:32 Now, study has its place, but meditation has its place in the Word. Speaker A 00:29:37 Somebody said, well, I'd rather have the train. Speaker A 00:29:39 Well, why not get the track and the train both? Speaker A 00:29:41 I mean, what good would just attract do you if you begin to meditate the word of God? Speaker A 00:29:48 I'll show you what happens as an illustration. Speaker A 00:29:53 I've told some of you this before, but it's worth repeating here in the fifth chapter of John. Speaker A 00:29:58 As I was learning this, I was living over here in Tulsa and I was preaching over at Iola. Speaker A 00:30:03 Any of you know where Iola, Oklahoma is? Speaker A 00:30:06 Just about 30, 40 minute drive from Tulsa. Speaker A 00:30:11 Was preaching over there and I was still going to school at oru and God was dealing with me on meditating in the Word of God. Speaker A 00:30:20 You know, I have found out that this is the reason men's education in the Bible gets in the way of preaching the gospel. Speaker A 00:30:28 Because they don't have time to meditate the Word. Speaker A 00:30:31 All they do is study books about the Bible. Speaker A 00:30:35 Now I found out this is true. Speaker A 00:30:36 This is the reason men get so hung up and stalled over in theology. Speaker A 00:30:41 Most theologians never pick the Bible up. Speaker A 00:30:44 They read some guy's commentary on the Bible. Speaker A 00:30:48 Well, I'd rather have the Holy Ghost commentary on the Bible. Speaker A 00:30:54 And frankly, there's no premium on ignorance, but there is a premium on being taught of God and have the capacity to use the education that is available on the Bible. Speaker A 00:31:11 And you get an advantage out of both, you see. Speaker A 00:31:13 But frankly, if you're going to have to make the choice, praise God, I'm going to cut out that man made one. Speaker A 00:31:21 I really will rather cut that out because God teach me that too if I need to know that. Speaker A 00:31:25 Now follow me there I was driving along there and God been dealing with me on meditating the scripture, he said, I want you to be quiet for a little while and don't just study why it was written and where it was written and how it was written. Speaker A 00:31:43 He said, why don't you listen to me? Speaker A 00:31:45 I wrote it. Speaker A 00:31:47 And he said, be quiet there for a little bit and allow yourself time for the Holy Spirit to build an inner image of what happened down there. Speaker A 00:31:58 Well, I never had done that. Speaker A 00:32:00 Now, in preparing to preach anytime, I'll usually read a scripture. Speaker A 00:32:04 I was going to preach on this fifth chapter of John here where, you know, at the man at the pool of Bethesda. Speaker A 00:32:09 Wilt thou be made whole, Take up thy bed and walk. Speaker A 00:32:11 I was going to preach on that. Speaker A 00:32:12 And I. Speaker A 00:32:13 During any day's time when I'm studying the word or getting ready to preach the word in place, I'll read a set of scriptures that I'm going to use to preach from as a text and so forth. Speaker A 00:32:24 I'll read it or sometimes four or five times. Speaker A 00:32:28 I'm liable to read it as high as 25 or 30 times the day that I'm going to preach it. Speaker A 00:32:33 Particularly if there's story content to it like this at Bethesda. Speaker A 00:32:37 Because I want that image alive in me of what happened that day down there with that guy so that as my words come out of me, they paint the proper picture of what took place. Speaker A 00:32:52 That's the secret to preaching. Speaker A 00:32:57 Good revival doesn't come from good preaching. Speaker A 00:32:59 Do you know that these guys around Jesus didn't say teach us to preach, they said teach us to pray. Speaker A 00:33:07 Revival comes from prayer because that's where the good preaching comes from. Speaker A 00:33:13 That will be the spark to cause the revival. Speaker A 00:33:15 But the inner image that the words come from has to be of God or nobody in the congregation will ever get it. Speaker A 00:33:22 It's just some foolishness that never really struck. Speaker A 00:33:25 Even you could be saying exactly the same words. Speaker A 00:33:28 But if there's no developed inner image in there by the Holy Spirit, that is called the anointing. Speaker A 00:33:36 The anointing abideth within the spirit of God, painting that picture so vividly that it singed and burned into your heart. Speaker A 00:33:47 One man said, how do you. Speaker A 00:33:48 Where did you get that sermon that you preached that won all those thousands of Jesus? Speaker A 00:33:53 He said, right over there on that rug. Speaker A 00:33:58 You'll find out that's where they come from, is not from commentaries and books and all that. Speaker A 00:34:03 Those are good and we use those in relation to it. Speaker A 00:34:05 But I'll tell you, men, where your heart gets burned with a sermon from God is on your knees in intercessory prayer, praying for the people, people that you're going to minister it to. Speaker A 00:34:15 Praying for it, watching for it, listening for it, meditating in the word. Speaker A 00:34:20 Listen to it, think about it, chew it and think about it, talk about it, work with it, separate yourself from the world and from the things around you. Speaker A 00:34:28 And listen to God and listen to God and listen to God and listen to God. Speaker A 00:34:32 Somebody said, I'm scared of those guys. Speaker A 00:34:34 Said God talks to them I'm scared of. Speaker A 00:34:36 The dingling says that he doesn't, particularly if he's in the position of preaching the gospel. Speaker A 00:34:44 God does talk to him. Speaker A 00:34:46 He's just too spiritually dense to hear him. Speaker A 00:34:48 God's doing his part. Speaker A 00:34:51 So I was riding along there. Speaker A 00:34:53 John Jacob was going to school over that Trinity Bible. Speaker A 00:34:57 At the same time I was at Oru and they lived right across the alley from us and they're a good friend of ours. Speaker A 00:35:01 And John was driving me to Ionola and back every day. Speaker A 00:35:05 Give me an opportunity where I didn't have to get involved in the natural job of driving. Speaker A 00:35:10 I could pray and so forth. Speaker A 00:35:13 And when I'm ministering, I don't want anybody talking to me. Speaker A 00:35:21 And have you ever been around anybody when you weren't supposed to talk? Speaker A 00:35:25 You can't hardly keep from talking. Speaker A 00:35:28 I had to learn that when I was working for Brother Roberts. Speaker A 00:35:31 I wound up driving his automobile far. Speaker A 00:35:33 And I'll tell you what, you can lose your job with your mouth when you're on a meeting with him. Speaker A 00:35:37 That's no kidding. Speaker A 00:35:38 He won't lie. Speaker A 00:35:39 From 2:00 in the afternoon until he finishes a meeting at night. Speaker A 00:35:42 He is not spoken to and he does not speak. Speaker A 00:35:46 He listens to God. Speaker A 00:35:47 He stays before God. Speaker A 00:35:49 He separates himself. Speaker A 00:35:50 That's where I learned to be that way, and he's done a pretty fair job. Speaker A 00:35:58 Anybody, 120 million people to Jesus will come out all right. Speaker A 00:36:03 Wow. Speaker A 00:36:07 So we were driving along there, and it was so quiet in there. Speaker A 00:36:09 You know, you just. Speaker A 00:36:11 If there had been a cricket in there, it sounded like a hailstorm. Speaker A 00:36:15 It was quiet. Speaker A 00:36:16 And I was driving along there. Speaker A 00:36:17 I wasn't paying any attention to it. Speaker A 00:36:19 I was listening to God. Speaker A 00:36:20 God been dealing with me on this meditation business. Speaker A 00:36:23 And I said, well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do, Lord. Speaker A 00:36:27 I'm going to going to meditate this scripture here, all eight verses of this that I'm going to preach on, or however many there is on down, I think 16 verses. Speaker A 00:36:38 I said, I'm going to take these things one at a time, and I'm going to read that verse of scripture. Speaker A 00:36:42 Then I'm going to close my eyes and I'm going to think about that, meditate about that, and give you an opportunity to reveal some things that are in those scriptures that I haven't seen by just reading it over and over and over again. Speaker A 00:36:55 And so we're driving along there and I said, okay, now, here goes. Speaker A 00:37:00 So I opened my Bible up there and said, after this, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:37:07 I said, well, there's not anything in that. Speaker A 00:37:08 I'll go on down to this next. Speaker A 00:37:10 The Lord said, I thought you were going to meditate all of them. Speaker A 00:37:14 I said, well, I am, but what could there be in that? Speaker A 00:37:16 After this, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went to Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:37:19 There ain't nothing in that. Speaker A 00:37:20 I said, I'm just going to go on down here. Speaker A 00:37:22 And so I said, now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market. Speaker A 00:37:25 And the Lord spoke up again on the inside of me and said, I thought she was going to meditate all of them. Speaker A 00:37:31 I said, I am, but there's not anything in that. Speaker A 00:37:33 He said, how would you know? Speaker A 00:37:38 And I said, well, all right, forgive me. Speaker A 00:37:42 I, like, got out of line here. Speaker A 00:37:45 I'll meditate that. Speaker A 00:37:47 And so I read it again after this. Speaker A 00:37:51 There was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:37:58 And I said, now, Holy Spirit, I put myself in your hands. Speaker A 00:38:02 Satan, I bind you. Speaker A 00:38:04 You will not lead me into error. Speaker A 00:38:05 The Word of God says very plainly in the 16th chapter of Proverbs, the first three verses that if I will roll my works over on the Lord, then he will cause even my thoughts to be conformed to his will, and my plans will be established. Speaker A 00:38:20 And I said, I roll this work over on the Lord. Speaker A 00:38:23 And I bind you right now. Speaker A 00:38:24 You don't want to lead me down a primrose path. Speaker A 00:38:26 Praise God. Speaker A 00:38:27 I'm not going to hear you. Speaker A 00:38:29 And so I said, now, after this, there was a feast of the Jews. Speaker A 00:38:33 And I thought, well, now there's a feast of the Jews. Speaker A 00:38:36 I had my eyes closed. Speaker A 00:38:37 I'm sitting there in a car, we going to Iola. Speaker A 00:38:42 And on the screen of my mind now, it's not down in here in my heart yet. Speaker A 00:38:47 I don't. Speaker A 00:38:48 I don't. Speaker A 00:38:48 I've just received it in my head. Speaker A 00:38:50 I've just read it, you see. Speaker A 00:38:52 And I said, now, the Jews was going to Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:38:56 There was a feast of the Jews. Speaker A 00:38:59 That mean, man. Speaker A 00:39:00 That means a lot of people went up there. Speaker A 00:39:01 And so in my own thinking, I saw this whole crowd, multitude of people headed toward Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:39:07 I knew something about what Jerusalem looked like. Speaker A 00:39:11 And from the pictures, I'd seen everything. Speaker A 00:39:13 And I set that into motion by my own will. Speaker A 00:39:19 I had made a decision. Speaker A 00:39:20 I was going to find out what was in there. Speaker A 00:39:23 And so while I was sitting there doing that, all of a sudden something happened that wasn't by my will. Speaker A 00:39:30 I never more expected that to happen than I expected to get out of that car and it, rolling down the road, saw that whole multitude of people headed to Jerusalem. Speaker A 00:39:41 But all of a sudden, one single person separated from that crowd went another direction. Speaker A 00:39:47 And I knew when it happened that it was Jesus. Speaker A 00:39:50 Don't ask me how I knew. Speaker A 00:39:51 It was in my thinking. Speaker A 00:39:53 He was so far away I couldn't recognize him. Speaker A 00:39:55 But I just knew. Speaker A 00:39:56 I knew who it was. Speaker A 00:39:57 I didn't want any question in my mind. Speaker A 00:39:59 And I thought when I saw. Speaker A 00:40:00 I said, that's Jesus. Speaker A 00:40:01 Wonder where he's going. Speaker A 00:40:03 And I sat there for a minute. Speaker A 00:40:04 And by this time, I'm caught up in this thing, you know, sometime you ought to let the Holy Ghost entertain you. Speaker A 00:40:09 And then instead of Elvis Presley, he'd beat him hands down. Speaker A 00:40:17 And I said, well, now I wonder where he's going. Speaker A 00:40:20 I remember thinking that on the inside, I wonder where he's going. Speaker A 00:40:23 And then the scripture jumped up into my thing to the sheep market pool. Speaker A 00:40:31 And, boy, I saw it. Speaker A 00:40:35 And I'm riding along there, you know. Speaker A 00:40:37 And of course, Old John sitting over, driving. Speaker A 00:40:39 He don't know what's going on inside me over there. Speaker A 00:40:42 All of a sudden, I said, I see it, I see it. Speaker A 00:40:45 Old John like to turn the car over. Speaker A 00:40:47 He go, what you see? Speaker A 00:40:50 I said, I see it. Speaker A 00:40:51 I can see it. Speaker A 00:40:52 I see it. Speaker A 00:40:54 All the religious people going to the religious place to do something religious. Speaker A 00:40:59 But Jesus separated himself from the crowd and hunted out a man that was diseased and sick and needed a man. Speaker A 00:41:07 The man said, I have no man. Speaker A 00:41:09 And Jesus went down there to him and got him up and got him healed. Speaker A 00:41:13 And there was nothing in that verse. Speaker A 00:41:17 I preached on it all night. Speaker A 00:41:19 I never did get the verse two. Speaker A 00:41:22 And I'll tell you right today, I've still got a vivid engraved picture in my heart of Jesus going down there and being that old boy's man and getting him up on his feet and standing him up straight and ranking him strong. Speaker A 00:41:35 I can still see that old boy coming up and folding up his old bed and walking off. Speaker A 00:41:40 And it just beats Haley's commentary all over the place. Speaker A 00:41:48 Now every time I pick up my Bible, John 5:1, that just leaps up on the inside of me. Speaker A 00:41:53 And there's been a many a time, I mean, just from that little old scripture, even if it wasn't even relative to what was bothering me at the time, there'd be time when I needed deliverance so bad. Speaker A 00:42:02 Be depressed and beat down, you know, and think, oh, the whole bunch looks like they're running off and leaving me. Speaker A 00:42:08 And I'll pick up my Bible, you know, to bolster my faith and believe God. Speaker A 00:42:13 And I'll flip my Bible open there to John, chapter five, verse one. Speaker A 00:42:17 Praise God. Speaker A 00:42:18 I just burst into my consciousness, and it's bigger than any depression has ever come on me. Speaker A 00:42:24 It just doesn't take long. Speaker A 00:42:25 Now, listen, once you've done that through story after story, I'll tell you, I have fished with Peter. Speaker A 00:42:31 I have run those nets, praise God. Speaker A 00:42:33 So many times I've watched him. Speaker A 00:42:35 I know, listen, I run through that deal where he went down and got that fish out there, that money in his mouth. Speaker A 00:42:41 Listen, I sat through that episode over and over and over and over before I ever got what God was trying to say to me. Speaker A 00:42:50 I'd have a blackout before I got to the punchline. Speaker A 00:42:53 I couldn't find it. Speaker A 00:42:54 And God would say, read it again. Speaker A 00:42:56 I said, I'll read it again. Speaker A 00:42:58 And I read it again. Speaker A 00:42:59 And I read it again. Speaker A 00:43:00 And I read it again. Speaker A 00:43:02 I said, lord, you're going to have to do something with me. Speaker A 00:43:04 I can't see what's in there. Speaker A 00:43:06 He said, you just keep praying. Speaker A 00:43:07 You just keep studying and it'll come. Speaker A 00:43:09 And, boy, one day it did. Speaker A 00:43:11 Praise God. Speaker A 00:43:13 I was praying and God was teaching me concerning giving and receiving and the laws of prosperity. Speaker A 00:43:19 And I. Speaker A 00:43:20 The Lord said, read that thing Again, I got to where I just, I just opened my Bible and it'd fall open there, you know. Speaker A 00:43:26 And I was sitting here reading and I saw it for the first time after I'd read that innumerable number of times. Speaker A 00:43:35 He said, take the first fish. Speaker A 00:43:39 I never had seen that. Speaker A 00:43:40 I just thought it was a fish. Speaker A 00:43:42 He said, get the first fish. Speaker A 00:43:45 That meant there had to be more fish. Speaker A 00:43:51 And I thought, you know, that's just like God. Speaker A 00:43:55 Send a guy down there and tell, you know, I mean, it'd been good enough to get one fish with money in his mouth, but just do like he did before, just go ahead and fill up his bowl. Speaker A 00:44:05 Peter was a fisherman. Speaker A 00:44:07 You don't think he ate all that, do you? Speaker A 00:44:09 He knew the market. Speaker A 00:44:11 He knew where to sell. Speaker A 00:44:12 He was a fisherman. Speaker A 00:44:14 That's the reason Jesus sent him down there. Speaker A 00:44:16 He wound up with money not just to pay his taxes, but money enough to pay the grocery bill and something to eat besides. Speaker A 00:44:23 Filled every pocket he had. Speaker A 00:44:25 And you know what the Lord said to me? Speaker A 00:44:27 I jumped right straight up, boy, I just had to fit. Speaker A 00:44:29 And the Lord said, settle down a minute. Speaker A 00:44:30 I'm not through with you yet. Speaker A 00:44:32 He said, you would have been. Speaker A 00:44:34 You're so money minded and so narrow minded where money is concerned, if I'd have sent you down there, you'd have pulled that one fish up that had that money in his mouth. Speaker A 00:44:42 You'd have got so excited you'd have grabbed the money, shouted and throwed the fish overboard. Speaker A 00:44:47 And you know that's the truth because it never even occurred to me. Speaker A 00:44:50 That's the reason that was so hard for me to see in that scripture. Speaker A 00:44:53 I was blind. Speaker A 00:44:55 I couldn't see. Speaker A 00:44:57 I had to meditate on the thing day and night to break that course of unbelief that was down in there and get through it. Speaker A 00:45:05 That unbelief will keep you from seeing, literally seeing words that are printed on those pages. Speaker A 00:45:10 If you're going to read it with a religious head instead of reading it in meditation and thinking and letting the spirit of God reveal it to you. Speaker A 00:45:17 I never had seen that one little word that changed the whole thing. Speaker A 00:45:20 And I saw that. Speaker A 00:45:21 I said, forgive me. Speaker A 00:45:23 God will never limit you again. Speaker A 00:45:25 Praise God, you meet my needs. Speaker A 00:45:27 He said, see there, if you'd have thrown that fish back then you'd have had to bought food and you still couldn't have paid your taxes. Speaker A 00:45:35 And he said, it would have been me that suffered. Speaker A 00:45:37 I said, why? Speaker A 00:45:38 He said, you'd have paid your taxes, mine, the ones that have gone Short. Speaker A 00:45:42 And you know that's the truth. Speaker A 00:45:43 He sent him down there to get his taxes and Jesus to pay for both of them, see? Speaker A 00:45:48 And the Lord said, I've got. Speaker A 00:45:49 I'm a partnership in a lot of businesses. Speaker A 00:45:51 But he said I don't have checking privileges in most of them. Speaker A 00:45:56 Can't get any money out of them. Speaker A 00:45:57 Just get all the problems. Speaker A 00:46:01 Then he said something to me I'll never forget. Speaker A 00:46:03 Two things he said, son, keep the fish. Speaker A 00:46:11 Eat him and sell number two and number three and number four. Speaker A 00:46:17 Pay the taxes with your money. Speaker A 00:46:20 And he said, if I cause an old cow to dig up a bag full of money out of a haystack somewhere that's been lost all these years and is known only to me, and I lead that old cow up to your door with that bag of money in her mouth. Speaker A 00:46:38 He said, son, milk her for you. Speaker A 00:46:41 Send her back. Speaker A 00:46:46 He's trying to get me to see the limitless of God and how unlimited we are if we'll meditate in God and get in this word and realize what's in there. Speaker A 00:46:57 Praise God. Speaker A 00:46:58 He doesn't some. Speaker A 00:46:59 You know, I said it. Speaker A 00:47:00 I was guilty of it. Speaker A 00:47:00 And I've heard other preachers say it. Speaker A 00:47:02 Well, now you know God's our source. Speaker A 00:47:03 But he only uses people. Speaker A 00:47:05 Well, that proved that wrong right there. Speaker A 00:47:06 He uses fish. Speaker A 00:47:07 He uses a lot of things. Speaker A 00:47:09 He just uses people first. Speaker A 00:47:11 But if you're going to be obedient to fish, won't be. Speaker A 00:47:14 I found out I didn't have to put the pressure on you to get the money to do the job. Speaker A 00:47:21 I found out I could give you the opportunity. Speaker A 00:47:23 But if you wouldn't go for it, why, praise God, the dogs and the cows will go get it. Speaker A 00:47:28 It's Bible said, preach the gospel to every creature. Speaker A 00:47:31 If it don't, none of y'all show up, I'll preach it to the cockroaches and the bugs and everything else. Speaker A 00:47:36 I am obligated to preach it now. Speaker A 00:47:40 That's all I'm obligated to do. Speaker A 00:47:42 I've done it. Speaker A 00:47:44 Gone into a place and just preaching anyhow, I don't care. Speaker A 00:47:47 My wife's going to be there. Speaker A 00:47:48 I preach to her. Speaker A 00:47:50 I have a good friend that did that. Speaker A 00:47:51 Didn't nobody show up. Speaker A 00:47:52 He just stood right there and preached it anyway. Speaker A 00:47:54 He said, lord, I rolled a care of it over on you. Speaker A 00:47:57 I told you I'd preach your word. Speaker A 00:47:59 You said, preach this, I'll preach it. Speaker A 00:48:01 And there wasn't a soul there. Speaker A 00:48:03 He preached it to empty seats for only one reason. Speaker A 00:48:08 To Protect his inner image of the success that he was believing for. Speaker A 00:48:13 And it wasn't. Speaker A 00:48:13 But a few weeks later in a Methodist church, a Methodist preacher stood up and said, I've never heard the gospel preached in this fashion before and I've got $10,000 in my savings account and I want you people to know I'm giving it to this preacher to preach the gospel with. Speaker A 00:48:29 Now how many of you preachers had that happen to you? Speaker A 00:48:32 Fellow, just stand up and fork over ten grand just cause you got such an anointing on you. Speaker A 00:48:38 You'll never get it until you meditate in the Word and then allow that inner image of who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you, and what he's doing for you and who the Holy Ghost is in you and what that Word says. Speaker A 00:48:51 And then be willing to go do it even if nobody shows up. Speaker A 00:48:55 So absolutely dedicated to that Holy Spirit picture on the inside of you that you'll preach it just cause you preach it. Speaker A 00:49:04 And it'll come to pass right today. Speaker A 00:49:07 That preacher's got more to do than he can do. Speaker A 00:49:10 The seats are not empty any longer. Speaker A 00:49:14 Now you see, God needs a man dedicated that much to the Word of God. Speaker A 00:49:18 Jesus was that way. Speaker A 00:49:21 Everybody walked on, left him one day and he turned around. Speaker A 00:49:23 These other guys said, you boy, don't go to. Speaker A 00:49:26 Just go on if you want to go to. Speaker A 00:49:29 He is dedicated to what? Speaker A 00:49:33 The word of God. Speaker A 00:49:34 The image of His Father on the inside. Speaker A 00:49:38 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:49:39 Let's stand on our feet and we'll believe God and receive this in faith. Speaker A 00:49:44 Father, we thank youk in Jesus name. Speaker A 00:49:48 We're very cautious to give youe all the praise and all the glory for these things that we have. Speaker A 00:49:53 For there's life within us and without yout we wouldn't have life. Speaker A 00:49:56 Because the Word says, if we have the Son, then we have life.
