S2E3. Faith How it Works - 3
Kenneth CopelandAbout this sermon
Takeaways: Living a victorious life through faith is not just a concept; it's a daily practice for every believer. Faith is the power that overcomes the world, and it comes from hearing and acting on God's Word. By speaking the Word of God, believers release their faith to conquer obstacles like sickness and negativity. Understanding that Jesus is the high priest of our confession empowers believers to declare God's promises boldly. Every born-again believer possesses world-overcoming faith, but it's essential to learn how to use it effectively. Faith is a spiritual law that works consistently, but it requires the believer to actively speak and believe.

Speaker A 00:00:01 If you have your Bibles, open them again with us today to first John, chapter five. Speaker A 00:00:06 We're studying the victory that overcometh the world. Speaker A 00:00:10 The victory that overcometh the world is yours. Speaker A 00:00:15 Jesus said, in the world they have tribulation, but be of good cheer. Speaker A 00:00:19 I have overcome the world. Speaker A 00:00:23 You should be, should be. Speaker A 00:00:27 Every born again believer should be walking in daily victory, in daily joy of the Lord, knowing that greater is he that's in me than he that's in the world. Speaker A 00:00:41 We really have never walked in the kind of victory that the Lord wants us to. Speaker A 00:00:50 And the thing that he really came here, died and raised from the dead and seated at the right hand of the Father, where he ever maketh intercession for us has never really been developed to the place that God wants it to. Speaker A 00:01:04 I mean, it's just something that you and I need to realize and need to begin to walk in and develop. Speaker A 00:01:12 And so we're studying this and have been for the last. Speaker A 00:01:16 Well, let's see. Speaker A 00:01:17 This will be the third broadcast that we've spent on this and vital. Speaker A 00:01:23 It's terribly important for you to realize that you are a world overcomer. Speaker A 00:01:31 And as you learn to use this powerful thing called the faith of God, then you can walk in daily victory in Christ Jesus. Speaker A 00:01:43 That is our goal on this broadcast is to help you, help teach you and train you so that you can walk in a more victorious life. Speaker A 00:01:54 You say, well, brother, I've already heard all that about faith. Speaker A 00:01:57 Well, good. Speaker A 00:01:58 This will be watering then to you. Speaker A 00:02:00 If you haven't heard it, we're planting. Speaker A 00:02:02 If you have heard it, we're watering. Speaker A 00:02:05 And it's God that giveth the increase that counts. Speaker A 00:02:09 Would you pray with me, please? Speaker A 00:02:10 Heavenly Father, we thank you for the Word. Speaker A 00:02:12 Today we receive it. Speaker A 00:02:14 Blessed receive the word of the living God to develop our faith. Speaker A 00:02:20 We ask you to by your spirit, teach us today, Father, in Jesus name. Speaker A 00:02:27 Amen. Speaker A 00:02:28 Let's read once again from First John, chapter 5, verse 1. Speaker A 00:02:33 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and every one that loveth him that begat, loveth him also that's begotten of him. Speaker A 00:02:43 By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep his commandments. Speaker A 00:02:51 For this is the love of God, or this is loving God that we keep his commandments. Speaker A 00:02:57 And his commandments are not grievous. Speaker A 00:02:59 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world. Speaker A 00:03:05 This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Speaker A 00:03:12 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God. Speaker A 00:03:19 Now, do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? Speaker A 00:03:23 Then you're a world overcomer. Speaker A 00:03:25 Well, Brother Copeland, I haven't been overcoming the world. Speaker A 00:03:28 Well, I know it. Speaker A 00:03:29 That's the reason we're talking about this. Speaker A 00:03:31 Nevertheless, you are a world overcomer. Speaker A 00:03:34 Now, what we're going to be doing, finding out about this victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Speaker A 00:03:45 If faith is the victory that overcometh the world, and you are a world overcomer, and you are not overcoming, then it's obvious you're either not using your faith or you don't know how to use your faith. Speaker A 00:03:59 Or both. Speaker A 00:04:00 So in our study of this first question that we asked was, who has faith? Speaker A 00:04:07 If we know who has it, we know where it comes from, and we know how it's released, and we know what feeds or develops it. Speaker A 00:04:16 Well, then we've arrived at a place of success. Speaker A 00:04:19 Once you take the responsibility then to do all of these things, who has faith? Speaker A 00:04:24 Well, we learn from Romans, the tenth chapter, that the born again believer, faith of God, we learn from the 12th chapter. Speaker A 00:04:33 We learn from what we just read here, that whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Speaker A 00:04:40 And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Speaker A 00:04:43 So anybody that's born again has faith. Speaker A 00:04:49 You have faith if you believe that Jesus is the Christ. Speaker A 00:04:55 Then we found out in second Thessalonians 3:2 wicked men do not have faith. Speaker A 00:05:02 He said, all men don't have faith. Speaker A 00:05:04 Well, all men that believe Jesus is the Christ have faith. Speaker A 00:05:11 And all men have faith available to them. Speaker A 00:05:17 Because whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Speaker A 00:05:23 So all men, faith available to them, the born again ones, the ones that have made Jesus Christ the Lord of their lives, have received that faith. Speaker A 00:05:36 Then we learn in Ephesians 2:8, it's a gift. Speaker A 00:05:39 It is the gift of God. Speaker A 00:05:43 It's a gift. Speaker A 00:05:44 You can't earn it. Speaker A 00:05:45 It's a gift. Speaker A 00:05:46 It's available. Speaker A 00:05:47 It is free for you. Speaker A 00:05:49 In the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:05:51 Then our next question was, who can use it? Speaker A 00:05:54 Well, Mark 11:23. Speaker A 00:05:55 Jesus said, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed. Speaker A 00:06:00 So that lets us know right there that whosoever has the right to use faith, whosoever shall say so. Speaker A 00:06:11 Jesus said, whosoever has the right to use it, and whosoever will say it, it will work for them. Speaker A 00:06:19 Hebrews 4:2. Speaker A 00:06:20 We found out anyone that's preached to can have faith. Speaker A 00:06:24 Ephesians 6:16 says, above all, take unto you the shield of faith. Speaker A 00:06:34 Well, it says, take unto you the whole armor of God. Speaker A 00:06:37 Well, that is available to every born again believer. Speaker A 00:06:42 Then we found out in the third chapter of the book of Acts something vitally important. Speaker A 00:06:48 Apostle Peter said, don't look at me as though by my holiness or my special calling this man was made whole. Speaker A 00:06:54 It was faith in the name of Jesus that made this man strong. Speaker A 00:06:59 And then we find out in First John chapter three that we are commanded to believe on the name of his Son Jesus. Speaker A 00:07:11 So we have same kind of faith, the same brand of faith that came from the same place works the same way as the Apostle Peter, the apostle John, or anybody else. Speaker A 00:07:24 God is no respecter of persons, and faith is from God. Speaker A 00:07:29 It is the gift of God, lest any man should boast. Speaker A 00:07:34 All right. Speaker A 00:07:34 Hebrews 11:6 makes the statement, it's impossible to please God without faith. Speaker A 00:07:40 And so here again we can realize that God does not demand something of us. Speaker A 00:07:46 If he demands us to please him, then we do it by faith. Speaker A 00:07:51 We don't do it by hard work. Speaker A 00:07:52 You ought to work hard. Speaker A 00:07:53 We don't do it by. Speaker A 00:07:55 You know, I've got to build this ministry. Speaker A 00:07:57 Well, it'll never be worth anything unless the Lord builds the house. Speaker A 00:08:01 Those that build it, build it in vain. Speaker A 00:08:03 Well, it didn't say we just go sit down somewhere and send him out to preach. Speaker A 00:08:07 No, we're co laborers with God, but we do it by faith. Speaker A 00:08:11 We do it by faith in the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:08:15 Amen. Speaker A 00:08:17 Now, what is faith? Speaker A 00:08:18 Well, Hebrews 11:1:3 tells us that faith is substance of things hoped for. Speaker A 00:08:27 We found out it's not visible to the physical eye, but it is substance found out. Speaker A 00:08:34 It's a spiritual force. Speaker A 00:08:37 It is a spiritual force. Speaker A 00:08:41 One thing that we need to always remember, God sent it so that it will serve the believer. Speaker A 00:08:50 God has empowered you with it and faith acted on will bring results. Speaker A 00:08:58 We found out that Romans 3:27 says faith is a law. Speaker A 00:09:02 Other words, it works every time that it's put to work. Speaker A 00:09:05 Well, I did all those things and it didn't work for me. Speaker A 00:09:09 Well, it did work. Speaker A 00:09:12 You probably didn't leave it alone long enough for it to accomplish anything. Speaker A 00:09:16 Either that or you thought you released it and you didn't. Speaker A 00:09:21 If we do what we think all the time and how we feel about it. Speaker A 00:09:25 Well, I just don't feel like that was working, you know, I mean, confessed that four times and didn't anything happen. Speaker A 00:09:32 I confessed it 21 years and it didn't anything happen. Speaker A 00:09:36 Well, you should have realized by now that you something's wrong. Speaker A 00:09:41 But there's not anything wrong with faith. Speaker A 00:09:42 Faith works. Speaker A 00:09:43 Romans 3 says, Faith is a law. Speaker A 00:09:46 It says by the law of faith, it is a spiritual law. Speaker A 00:09:54 So what we need to realize is that when we're dealing with faith, we're dealing with the faith of God. Speaker A 00:10:01 Then His Word is the foundation and the basis upon which we deal with it, not the way we feel about works. Speaker A 00:10:10 You can't see it a lot of times you can't feel it. Speaker A 00:10:14 There are times that you can feel the results of it, but it's something you can't feel or see. Speaker A 00:10:20 And so you have to stand on the word concerning it and do what the Word says. Speaker A 00:10:25 You can't see electricity, but you can see the results of it. Speaker A 00:10:28 And there are times you can see a discharge of it. Speaker A 00:10:32 However, men and women had to learn over the years the laws that govern electricity so that we could be blessed by it. Speaker A 00:10:41 There have been men and women killed by it who misused the laws of it. Speaker A 00:10:47 But nevertheless it is a law and it works by law. Speaker A 00:10:51 They had to research and they tried and they failed, but they kept on and they wrote the books concerning it. Speaker A 00:11:00 This proved out to be this way. Speaker A 00:11:01 This proved out to be this way. Speaker A 00:11:03 Well, God has written us a handbook on faith. Speaker A 00:11:06 It's His Word, and herein lies our research. Speaker A 00:11:11 And of course, as we act on it and so forth, we're going to make mistakes and we have trial and we have error and so forth. Speaker A 00:11:18 And we can put that down, praise God. Speaker A 00:11:21 But we don't change what the Bible says about it. Speaker A 00:11:24 We change what we think, what we believe and how we feel about it once we see it in God's Word and we stay with it until we find our mistakes and our errors. Speaker A 00:11:36 God's word never changes. Speaker A 00:11:38 Faith never changes. Speaker A 00:11:40 It's you and it's I that need to change when things are not working properly. Speaker A 00:11:46 Alright, when we stopped last week, we were talking about how faith is released. Speaker A 00:11:54 We know who has it, we know who can use it. Speaker A 00:11:57 We know now something about what it is. Speaker A 00:11:59 How is it released? Speaker A 00:12:01 All right, let's go back over a couple of scriptures that we read last week. Speaker A 00:12:08 Let's turn over to second Corinthians, chapter three, I think, or excuse me, chapter four, excuse me. Speaker A 00:12:21 This particular scripture is most revealing from the Word of God and what God sees about this and what he says about this. Speaker A 00:12:31 Second Corinthians 4, 13th and 14th verses. Speaker A 00:12:35 We having the same spirit of faith according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken. Speaker A 00:12:49 We also believe, and therefore we speak, knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus and shall present us with you. Speaker A 00:13:00 Now, the word knowing is what I want you to catch on to out of that 14th verse. Speaker A 00:13:06 We having the same spirit of faith. Speaker A 00:13:08 This is the spirit of the whole thing. Speaker A 00:13:10 In other words, this is not something by the spirit of God. Speaker A 00:13:14 This is the spirit of it, like the spirit of the school, the spirit of the game. Speaker A 00:13:19 This is the spirit of faith. Speaker A 00:13:21 This is the spirit of the whole subject of faith. Speaker A 00:13:27 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, believed, and therefore have I spoken. Speaker A 00:13:35 We also believe, and therefore we speak, knowing. Speaker A 00:13:40 Therefore we speak knowing that he which raised up the Lord shall raise us up also. Speaker A 00:13:45 He says that the whole spirit of the thing is to believe it and say it. Speaker A 00:13:51 Well, that's what we read, you know, in Mark 11. Speaker A 00:13:54 We're going to read that in just a moment. Speaker A 00:13:55 But I want to take you to Hebrews chapter three and remind you of something here that is so vital. Speaker A 00:14:06 You ought to remember this constantly, all day, every day. Speaker A 00:14:10 Remember this all the time. Speaker A 00:14:15 I believe that the hardest thing for any believer to do is what Abraham did, registered and recorded in the fourth chapter of the book of Romans, saying, therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace. Speaker A 00:14:31 And said, like God. Speaker A 00:14:34 He called things that be not as though they were. Speaker A 00:14:37 He called things that be not as though they were. Speaker A 00:14:41 I believe that's the hardest part of faith for any human man or woman to grasp. Speaker A 00:14:52 Calling things that be not as though they were. Speaker A 00:14:55 How can my words make that much difference? Speaker A 00:14:58 Well, let me ask you a question. Speaker A 00:15:04 What is the only creature on earth that has the ability, the right and the privilege to speak words? Speaker A 00:15:12 Do you understand that? Speaker A 00:15:15 Of course. Speaker A 00:15:16 It's mankind. Speaker A 00:15:18 Do you understand how that could possibly be true? Speaker A 00:15:23 Did you ever stop and think about that? Speaker A 00:15:25 Nothing, nothing else on this earth has the right to choose and speak words out of his heart, out of his mind, out of his circumstances, out of his life. Speaker A 00:15:41 You have the right to choose and speak words of your choice. Speaker A 00:15:47 Nobody is making you say anything. Speaker A 00:15:52 Now. Speaker A 00:15:52 They may embarrass you and force you, but when it comes right down to it, you may be like, I've seen children, you know, you just. Speaker A 00:16:02 I mean, you. Speaker A 00:16:03 You force them to do something, and you can hear them under their breath. Speaker A 00:16:09 I may be doing it on the outside, but I'm not doing it on the inside. Speaker A 00:16:17 You have the right to choose and pick words. Speaker A 00:16:20 Someone Said, Well, I was just forced to say that I was sick. Speaker A 00:16:23 No, nobody forced you to say you were sick. Speaker A 00:16:25 You didn't have to say it. Speaker A 00:16:27 You could have chosen to have said, by faith I am healed. Speaker A 00:16:31 Well, I. Speaker A 00:16:32 Looks like I'd be lying about it. Speaker A 00:16:34 No, no. Speaker A 00:16:35 Depends on what's behind that. Speaker A 00:16:36 A lie is a deception. Speaker A 00:16:38 Now, if you were saying that, trying to make somebody believe you were sick, trying to deceive somebody, then it's a lie. Speaker A 00:16:46 But if you said it because of what Jesus has already said, aha. Speaker A 00:16:53 Now you've made a choice to speak out of your spirit instead of out of your mind. Speaker A 00:16:58 Now look at this. Speaker A 00:17:00 Hebrews, chapter three, verse one. Speaker A 00:17:03 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling. Speaker A 00:17:07 Consider. Speaker A 00:17:09 Boy, I can hardly read the word consider there without stopping and just camping on it and preaching hour after hour after hour. Speaker A 00:17:18 This is saying to us to consider the apostle and high priest of our confession or profession, Jesus Christ. Speaker A 00:17:28 Now, let's stop and think about this for a moment. Speaker A 00:17:32 He says consider. Speaker A 00:17:33 Well, what do we consider? Speaker A 00:17:36 Consider the apostle. Speaker A 00:17:40 What is the word apostle? Speaker A 00:17:43 What does it mean? Speaker A 00:17:46 Its literal meaning is the sent one. Speaker A 00:17:49 Jesus has been sent. Speaker A 00:17:52 He has an apostolic calling to establish. Speaker A 00:17:59 Now think with me a moment. Speaker A 00:18:04 The apostles that we know about in the New Testament, we read and we can study enough to find out that the ministry of the apostle is to be a sent one to establish. Speaker A 00:18:21 The apostle Paul was sent to the Gentiles to establish the gospel, establish faith, to establish the new covenant among the Gentiles so that we can see he's sent. Speaker A 00:18:35 The word apostle means to be sent. Speaker A 00:18:39 Biblical use of the word apostle is to be sent to establish. Speaker A 00:18:43 Now there's people running around all, you know, saying, well, I'm an apostle, I'm an apostle this, I'm an apostle that. Speaker A 00:18:48 Well, what have you established? Speaker A 00:18:50 Most of the time, nothing but some confusion. Speaker A 00:18:54 There are those, though, in this day and hour that have an apostolic calling to go do something. Speaker A 00:19:00 We've heard recently about the calling that God has on our brother Oral Roberts, to establish healing teams that consists of doctors, consists of preachers, consists of nurses, consists of a team of people that can move into an area and establish God's healing presence. Speaker A 00:19:30 Now, that is an apostolic calling. Speaker A 00:19:33 It's never been done before. Speaker A 00:19:34 I mean, man, that. Speaker A 00:19:36 That kind of thing. Speaker A 00:19:37 Well, and maybe in a limited fashion, but just the way that's being done is an apostolic calling. Speaker A 00:19:43 And anytime God puts that kind of calling on somebody, I guarantee you it'll stir up the devil. Speaker A 00:19:47 It'll stir up The Christians. Speaker A 00:19:49 And some of them will listen God. Speaker A 00:19:51 And some of them will listen to the devil. Speaker A 00:19:52 But there's an apostolic calling there. Speaker A 00:19:54 Now apply that to this. Speaker A 00:19:57 Consider the apostle. Speaker A 00:19:59 Let's say it like this. Speaker A 00:20:01 Consider the one sent to establish. Speaker A 00:20:06 Boy, that's strong. Speaker A 00:20:09 And the high priest. Speaker A 00:20:12 By adding the word high priest, you give the full weight authority of God. Speaker A 00:20:22 Not only as an apostle, but as the high priest. Speaker A 00:20:27 He is the apostle sent one. Speaker A 00:20:30 As a man, he is the high priest raised up as God. Speaker A 00:20:35 Hallelujah. Speaker A 00:20:37 So consider the sent one to establish. Speaker A 00:20:41 And the highest authority of all our profession. Speaker A 00:20:48 Or confession. Speaker A 00:20:49 It's the same word. Speaker A 00:20:50 Christ Jesus. Speaker A 00:20:53 Whoa. Speaker A 00:20:54 Glory to God. Speaker A 00:20:55 Listen to what he said. Speaker A 00:20:57 God has sent Jesus Christ to be the apostle sent to establish your confession. Speaker A 00:21:13 And he has the high priestly authority to do it. Speaker A 00:21:19 The confession of faith of your mouth. Speaker A 00:21:25 Praise God. Speaker A 00:21:27 So consider that now. Speaker A 00:21:30 Establish the word. Speaker A 00:21:31 Consider into your thinking. Speaker A 00:21:33 That's not just a sweet little suggestion. Speaker A 00:21:35 He's saying, brethren, consider. Speaker A 00:21:38 Consider. Speaker A 00:21:39 The next time you think, well, you know, I feel so bad. Speaker A 00:21:43 I just hurt all over. Speaker A 00:21:45 I really would like to say, by his stripes you were healed. Speaker A 00:21:48 Because I really believe that that Brother Copeland has been teaching. Speaker A 00:21:51 But I don't know. Speaker A 00:21:53 You know, I don't know whether I feel just right about. Speaker A 00:21:56 Consider Jesus, the apostle sent to establish your confession. Speaker A 00:22:01 Consider him the high priest. Speaker A 00:22:04 Well, what's he establishing? Speaker A 00:22:06 The confession of his word. Speaker A 00:22:07 I have believed. Speaker A 00:22:09 And therefore have I spoken. Speaker A 00:22:11 So don't just confess it out of your head. Speaker A 00:22:13 Go to the word of God. Speaker A 00:22:15 Look at it, meditate on it, stand on it. Speaker A 00:22:18 Know that it says what it says. Speaker A 00:22:20 By his stripes ye were healed. Speaker A 00:22:22 Himself bore our sicknesses, carried our diseases. Speaker A 00:22:25 By his stripes ye were healed. Speaker A 00:22:26 Praise God. Speaker A 00:22:27 All these different words. Speaker A 00:22:29 The word of God. Speaker A 00:22:32 And then consider him sent to see to it that when you say it, it's carried out. Speaker A 00:22:40 Now, let's read that again from Mark, chapter 11. Speaker A 00:22:44 Because that's what Jesus said to do it. Speaker A 00:22:46 He was sent to establish that he's sent as the high priest of it. Speaker A 00:22:54 And so here is when he said it. Speaker A 00:22:57 Have faith in God. Speaker A 00:22:59 For verily I say unto you. Speaker A 00:23:01 This is the 23rd verse of the 11th chapter of Mark's Gospel. Speaker A 00:23:05 Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea. Speaker A 00:23:13 And shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe. Speaker A 00:23:20 Believe what? Speaker A 00:23:22 Believe those things which he saith shall come to pass. Speaker A 00:23:30 He shall have whatsoever he saith. Speaker A 00:23:34 Now, I want you to notice something here I think is really exciting. Speaker A 00:23:38 Remember, he's the one sent Forth to do this. Speaker A 00:23:41 Now watch what he did here. Speaker A 00:23:43 He said, I say unto that. Speaker A 00:23:47 Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall say. Speaker A 00:23:51 Well, whosoever included him, of course, he finished saying, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Speaker A 00:23:57 And then he said, therefore I say unto you what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe you receive them and you shall have them. Speaker A 00:24:09 Now he gave us the principle of using the faith of God. Speaker A 00:24:14 And then he turned immediately around and used it. Speaker A 00:24:18 Shall have whatsoever you say, therefore I say unto you whatsoever thing you desire. Speaker A 00:24:23 He established by the words of his own mouth a faith principle and law. Speaker A 00:24:31 As the very apostle of confession and the high priest of our confession, and said it with his mouth and released it, and it can never be changed because he believed in his heart, he said it with his mouth and he has what he says, and he still has it today, some 2,000 years later. Speaker A 00:24:51 So that when I pray, the things I desire believe that I receive them and I shall have them. Speaker A 00:25:01 How do I know that? Speaker A 00:25:02 Jesus said so and he has what he says. Speaker A 00:25:05 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:25:07 All right, let's establish this. Speaker A 00:25:10 Have believed, therefore have I spoken. Speaker A 00:25:14 Let's really establish it in our thinking. Speaker A 00:25:18 I want you to establish it so well that you never question it again. Speaker A 00:25:23 That way you can begin to develop it in your daily life and come to a place where it really has great power. Speaker A 00:25:33 It has great power over your thinking processes, has great power over over your actions. Speaker A 00:25:40 To where you're aware, constantly and continually all the time of the words that come out of your mouth. Speaker A 00:25:46 In the fourth chapter of the book of Proverbs, keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues or the cross reference says the forces of life. Speaker A 00:25:58 Put away from thee a froward. Speaker A 00:26:02 That means a disobedient, unruly put away from thee a disobedient, unruly mouth and perverse lips put far from thee, far from thee. Speaker A 00:26:18 Let thine eyes look right on and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Speaker A 00:26:23 Ponder the path of thy feet. Speaker A 00:26:24 Let all thy ways be established. Speaker A 00:26:26 Turn not to the right hand, nor to the left. Speaker A 00:26:28 Remove thy foot from evil. Speaker A 00:26:30 Now he has said here, protect your heart with all diligence. Speaker A 00:26:36 We're going to learn from James that if you don't bridle your tongue, you will deceive your own heart. Speaker A 00:26:48 And this scripture says, protect your heart, keep your heart, for out of it are the forces of life. Speaker A 00:26:55 What forces is he talking about? Speaker A 00:26:56 Well, well, one of them is a force of faith. Speaker A 00:26:58 You can't please God without it, you really can't live. Speaker A 00:27:00 Without it. Speaker A 00:27:01 Without it, you'll die. Speaker A 00:27:02 You're dying daily without the force of faith and all of the forces of the spirit. Speaker A 00:27:10 Concerning the fruit of the spirit. Speaker A 00:27:14 All of those forces that create and develop holiness in you. Speaker A 00:27:19 All of those. Speaker A 00:27:20 The joy of the Lord is your strength. Speaker A 00:27:22 Bible says all of those are spiritual forces. Speaker A 00:27:25 And if you do not put away from you a disobedient mouth, then you will choke the word. Speaker A 00:27:33 You will choke all of those things by deceiving your spirit. Speaker A 00:27:40 Now, let's look at the. Speaker A 00:27:42 That's in the fourth chapter. Speaker A 00:27:43 Look at the 12th chapter of the book of Proverbs. Speaker A 00:27:44 This is very interesting. Speaker A 00:27:46 Proverbs 12:18. Speaker A 00:27:51 There is. Speaker A 00:27:52 That speaketh like the piercings of a sword. Speaker A 00:27:57 Now, remember what he said about your heart deceiving your heart. Speaker A 00:28:01 James says, if you can't bridle your tongue, you will deceive your own heart. Speaker A 00:28:07 The tongue of the wise is health. Speaker A 00:28:13 Let me read that to you again. Speaker A 00:28:15 There is. Speaker A 00:28:16 That speaketh like the piercings of a sword. Speaker A 00:28:19 But the tongue of the wise is health. Speaker A 00:28:24 Man, That's. Speaker A 00:28:25 That's a powerful thing. Speaker A 00:28:28 I. Speaker A 00:28:28 You know, I have to go back over to the fourth chapter for something. Speaker A 00:28:32 I want you to Remember this. Speaker A 00:28:34 The 20th, for the 23rd verse. Speaker A 00:28:36 I started reading while ago in Proverbs 4:23. Speaker A 00:28:39 But listen to the 20th verse. Speaker A 00:28:40 Attend to my words. Speaker A 00:28:42 Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Speaker A 00:28:44 Let them not depart from thine eyes. Speaker A 00:28:46 Keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Speaker A 00:28:52 Well, what's he saying here? Speaker A 00:28:53 It's pretty easy to see. Speaker A 00:28:55 If you fill your heart with the word of God and you protect it with all diligence by putting away from you a disobedient mouth, if you're wise, you will begin to speak words of healing that will cause health. Speaker A 00:29:09 Tongue of the wise is health. Speaker A 00:29:13 Now, in the 13th chapter of the Book of Proverbs. Speaker A 00:29:18 We're right there. Speaker A 00:29:19 Close. Speaker A 00:29:20 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the transgressor shall eat violence. Speaker A 00:29:30 Transgressor of what? Speaker A 00:29:32 Transgressor of his mouth. Speaker A 00:29:34 If he speaks violently, then that's what he'll have. Speaker A 00:29:39 Isn't that what Jesus said? Speaker A 00:29:40 You shall have whatsoever you say. Speaker A 00:29:44 All right. Speaker A 00:29:45 Look at the third verse there. Speaker A 00:29:46 13:3. Speaker A 00:29:47 Proverbs 13:3. Speaker A 00:29:48 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life, but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Speaker A 00:29:59 Mm. Speaker A 00:30:01 Praise God. Speaker A 00:30:02 I got to read that again. Speaker A 00:30:03 He that keepeth his mouth, keepeth his life, but he that openeth wide his lips, or in other words, he just says any old thing he wants to say. Speaker A 00:30:13 Bless God. Speaker A 00:30:14 I'll say whatever I want to say. Speaker A 00:30:15 Them faith preachers ain't going to get me to say something I don't want to say. Speaker A 00:30:20 Well, alright, but here you go. Speaker A 00:30:23 He that cometh openeth wide, his lips shall have destruction. Speaker A 00:30:27 So if that's what you want to do, well, just have at it. Speaker A 00:30:30 But I'll tell you what, you don't have to. Speaker A 00:30:33 You can take authority over your tongue and begin to speak the words of God and begin to know the blessings of God. Speaker A 00:30:45 Now in the book of Psalms there's a scripture that really, when David said, David had a great revelation of this read the 91st Psalm, David said, I will say of the Lord, and then he'll deliver me. Speaker A 00:31:04 In other words, when I say is when he will deliver. Speaker A 00:31:09 141st Psalm, third verse. Speaker A 00:31:15 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth. Speaker A 00:31:20 Keep the door of my lips. Speaker A 00:31:26 Now the way he phrased that is very, very interesting. Speaker A 00:31:31 Keep the door of my lips. Speaker A 00:31:35 The doorway. Speaker A 00:31:36 The lips are the doorway. Speaker A 00:31:38 James develops that greatly. Speaker A 00:31:40 We're going to get into that in a few minutes. Speaker A 00:31:43 Very, very revealing scripture there from the Book of James. Speaker A 00:31:48 Let's look at the Gospel of Luke. Speaker A 00:31:50 I want to see some more things that Jesus had to say about this in the sixth chapter of Luke. Speaker A 00:31:57 Listen to this. Speaker A 00:31:58 He taught concerning this. Speaker A 00:31:59 Remember now he's the apostle sent forth to teach on it, ok? Speaker A 00:32:04 He's the apostle sent forth to establish it. Speaker A 00:32:07 So let's hear what he has to say about this. Speaker A 00:32:10 A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good. Speaker A 00:32:18 An evil man. Speaker A 00:32:20 Evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil. Speaker A 00:32:25 Now I want you to notice something out of the law of this. Speaker A 00:32:29 You remember we realized that Romans, third chapter says that faith is a law. Speaker A 00:32:35 Now notice this. Speaker A 00:32:37 This will work for the good and the bad. Speaker A 00:32:43 In other words, it will work on the negative side of the realm just the same as it will on the positive side. Speaker A 00:32:50 A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good. Speaker A 00:32:56 An evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil for or because of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaketh. Speaker A 00:33:12 So the bad stuff coming from what you say with your mouth and so is the good stuff. Speaker A 00:33:17 So actually, and like I said from James, we're going to see this in particular Satan's work and Satan's tool. Speaker A 00:33:26 And Satan's way of doing this is to get you to say it. Speaker A 00:33:33 Anytime he can take a word from God and pervert it and get you to use it against yourself, that's what he's going to do. Speaker A 00:33:44 That is his tool. Speaker A 00:33:46 That's the only strength he's got. Speaker A 00:33:49 Jesus stripped him of his power. Speaker A 00:33:51 He took away from him all of his authority, took away from him his armor. Speaker A 00:33:54 The Bible says, so what's he doing? Speaker A 00:33:58 He says, well, look at there. Speaker A 00:34:00 Jesus said, they can have what they say. Speaker A 00:34:03 And so I'm going to get him to say that he doesn't have anything. Speaker A 00:34:06 I'm going to get him to say what he has instead of calling things that be not as though they were going to get him to call things that are, because they are, and just keep him doing that. Speaker A 00:34:17 If I can keep you saying you're sick, then it will reinforce that and reinforce that. Speaker A 00:34:23 Reinforce that the longer you say it, and the harder you say it, the harder it is for you to receive your healing. Speaker A 00:34:30 Now let's look at the 17th chapter of the book of Luke. Speaker A 00:34:38 This is vitally important. Speaker A 00:34:44 From Luke 17, the apostles said to the Lord, increase our faith. Speaker A 00:34:56 Now, Jesus had already taught on the overall principle of the kingdom of God being compared to the grain of mustard seed. Speaker A 00:35:16 And you remember the scripture that said, God's not mocked, don't be deceived. Speaker A 00:35:21 Whatever you sow is what you're going to reap. Speaker A 00:35:23 And Jesus said, the sower soweth the word. Speaker A 00:35:26 So words are seeds. Speaker A 00:35:27 Words are seeds of sickness. Speaker A 00:35:29 Words are seed of health. Speaker A 00:35:31 The tongue of the wise is health. Speaker A 00:35:34 So now he had already taught them concerning the seed, plant, grow, harvest principle in the kingdom of God. Speaker A 00:35:44 They said, increase our faith. Speaker A 00:35:46 He said, if you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say, in other words, if you had faith the way you had the grain of mustard, he'd already taught them now and used a grain of mustard seed to illustrate it. Speaker A 00:36:01 See, already taught them about it. Speaker A 00:36:03 It already said this to them. Speaker A 00:36:06 Now he's saying, he's as much as saying, well, now, don't forget what I told you about that mustard seed. Speaker A 00:36:12 You want your faith increased? Speaker A 00:36:14 Okay. Speaker A 00:36:15 If you had faith the way you have a grain of mustard seed, you would say. Speaker A 00:36:22 You would say to this sycamine tree, be thou plucked up by the root, be thou planted into the sea, and it should obey you. Speaker A 00:36:33 The tree, I mean, the faith, the forest, and then the tree will obey you. Speaker A 00:36:40 In other words, he said, if you want your faith Increased. Speaker A 00:36:43 Plant it by planting the word, saying to the tree, saying to the mountain, saying to your own body, saying to the situation, be thou removed, be thou changed, be thou healed, be it done in the name of Jesus, and continue to stand on the base of God's word as the foundation. Speaker A 00:37:04 His word in my mouth, spoken by my mouth, is still his word, and it still carries the high priest anointing of Jesus to bring it to pass. Speaker A 00:37:19 Matthew 12:36 verse. Speaker A 00:37:22 Oh, I'll tell you when you read this one, you see the high priority that Jesus places on the words of the mouth. Speaker A 00:37:32 And indeed he should, because he is the apostle sent to establish it. Speaker A 00:37:37 So Matthew 12:36. Speaker A 00:37:41 But I say unto you that every idle word men shall speak. Speaker A 00:37:48 Now if you look up that word idle, it means empty. Speaker A 00:37:52 It means non productive. Speaker A 00:37:56 Every idle, empty, non productive word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Speaker A 00:38:05 For by thou. Speaker A 00:38:07 By thy words thou shalt be justified, by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Speaker A 00:38:19 Now you can, you can go off and say, well I get tired of hearing them faith guys talk about confession in your mouth. Speaker A 00:38:29 Say it and, and you know all that blab it, grab it and all that kind of stuff. Speaker A 00:38:33 You can make all the stupid jokes about it you want to make, you can make all the gripe about it you want to make, but even while you're standing there saying those foolish wor, you will be held accountable for them on the day of judgment. Speaker A 00:38:48 Every word that proceeds out of your mouth, you'll be held accountable for it. Speaker A 00:38:54 Because Jesus has been sent as the apostle and the high priest of your confession. Speaker A 00:39:01 Amen. Speaker A 00:39:03 And it's very high priority, very high privilege you and for me to be privileged to speak the very words of Almighty God. Speaker A 00:39:16 The very power of Almighty God can. Speaker A 00:39:20 The Bible says even the authority of life and death is in the power of the tongue. Speaker A 00:39:25 Man, oh man, oh man. Speaker A 00:39:27 Now we've already read Romans 10, but I, you know, we read it in other studies about other parts of faith. Speaker A 00:39:34 But let's go over there and read it again. Speaker A 00:39:36 Looking at this portion of it. Speaker A 00:39:40 Romans 10:8. Speaker A 00:39:42 What does faith say? Speaker A 00:39:44 Well, faith says the word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart. Speaker A 00:39:56 That is the word of faith that preach the word is nigh thee. Speaker A 00:40:05 My brother, what has he said here? Speaker A 00:40:07 The righteousness which is of faith or the right way that faith speaks is on this one. Speaker A 00:40:12 Don't say in your heart, who shall go up into heaven to bring Jesus down from above? Speaker A 00:40:17 Well, what does that mean? Speaker A 00:40:18 Well, oh If Jesus would just come down and lay his hand on my brow. Speaker A 00:40:23 Oh, if I could just get Jesus to appear to me. Speaker A 00:40:27 If Jesus would just come. Speaker A 00:40:29 Well, there's no place that it promises you that he's going to come in the flesh, in the natural down from heaven. Speaker A 00:40:35 Now, he's done that, but that's his prerogative, not ours. Speaker A 00:40:39 We do, however, know that his word is here. Speaker A 00:40:43 We have his word, thank God. Speaker A 00:40:44 We're commanded to have faith in his name and in his word. Speaker A 00:40:49 Now, I want you to get ready to act on what you've heard. Speaker A 00:40:53 Have faith. Speaker A 00:40:54 You have a right to use faith. Speaker A 00:40:56 It's yours. Speaker A 00:40:57 God gave it to you. Speaker A 00:40:58 It will work. Speaker A 00:41:00 And the moment I say Amen, I want you to say it is done. Speaker A 00:41:07 In the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:41:09 I believe it in my heart and I say it with my mouth. Speaker A 00:41:13 I believe I now receive. Speaker A 00:41:17 That's what I want you to do now. Speaker A 00:41:19 Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for this audience. Speaker A 00:41:23 I pray for their deliverance. Speaker A 00:41:24 I pray for the power of the word of God that is living in them right now, to be released. Speaker A 00:41:31 And in the name of Jesus, for them to be free and set free of all bondage and to know that Jesus Christ is alive in you right now. Speaker A 00:41:45 Hallelujah. Speaker A 00:41:46 In the name of Jesus, Amen. Speaker A 00:41:51 Now say it. Speaker A 00:41:52 I believe it's mine. Speaker A 00:41:55 I believe I receive it. Speaker A 00:41:57 Now I'm free. Speaker A 00:42:00 In the name of Jesus, I'm healed. Speaker A 00:42:02 I'm delivered. Speaker A 00:42:03 Whatever it is that you need, say it and believe in your heart. Speaker A 00:42:09 Say it out loud. Speaker A 00:42:10 I believe it in my heart. Speaker A 00:42:12 Say it with my mouth. Speaker A 00:42:16 Amen. Speaker A 00:42:17 So I have what I say and just go around everywhere saying, I have what I say and I say I have it. Speaker A 00:42:23 Praise God. Speaker A 00:42:24 I have what I say and I say it's mine. Speaker A 00:42:26 I have what I say and I believe. Speaker A 00:42:28 I receive. Speaker A 00:42:30 Amen.
