Speaker A 00:00:00 Did you bring your Bible? Speaker A 00:00:01 Tonight. Speaker A 00:00:02 Good. Speaker A 00:00:05 Open them up to the 55th chapter of Isaiah. Speaker A 00:00:09 Once again, we've been talking about the integrity of God's Word, the holy Word of God. Speaker A 00:00:20 Do you know why it's holy? Speaker A 00:00:21 It's holy, Number one. Speaker A 00:00:23 Because God is holy. Speaker A 00:00:25 You cannot separate God and His Word. Speaker A 00:00:29 And word that is holy means, very simply, that it is the truth. Speaker A 00:00:36 Holiness is being right. Speaker A 00:00:43 God is right. Speaker A 00:00:46 God has never yet been wrong. Speaker A 00:00:50 One man said that must be the way he got to be God. Speaker A 00:00:53 Maybe it is. Speaker A 00:00:54 I don't know. Speaker A 00:00:55 I don't know how he got to be God. Speaker A 00:00:56 I think he got to be God because he's God. Speaker A 00:00:59 That goes further than my little peanut brain can reach. Speaker A 00:01:02 But I can understand God in His Word. Speaker A 00:01:05 I can understand what he's already said. Speaker A 00:01:07 Praise God. Speaker A 00:01:08 And what he's already said is filled with his holy integrity. Speaker A 00:01:13 Let's read once again from the 55th chapter of Isaiah, verse 8. Speaker A 00:01:19 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Speaker A 00:01:24 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Speaker A 00:01:32 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven and returns not thither, but waters the earth and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. Speaker A 00:01:48 It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it. Speaker A 00:01:58 We've been talking about the fact that God's word is alive. Speaker A 00:02:01 It is a living thing. Speaker A 00:02:02 And you notice it says here that God's word will prosper in the thing whereunto he sent it. Speaker A 00:02:10 Now, without his word, there wouldn't be no such thing as a man. Speaker A 00:02:15 And without his man, there would be no reason to have his word here. Speaker A 00:02:19 His word is not active on the moon because there are no people there. Speaker A 00:02:27 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:02:29 Did you ever notice that when they got on the moon, they didn't find any gardens growing there? Speaker A 00:02:35 They didn't find any factories there. Speaker A 00:02:38 They didn't find any birds there. Speaker A 00:02:41 They didn't find any animals there. Speaker A 00:02:43 They didn't find any of those things there. Speaker A 00:02:45 Why, there was no man there to enjoy them. Speaker A 00:02:50 God planted the Garden of Eden and then he put a man in it. Speaker A 00:02:53 Praise God. Speaker A 00:02:54 Or the diamonds would be worthless as sandstones and the gold would be worth no more than coal if it were not for the man to put a value on it. Speaker A 00:03:04 So he has said, my thoughts are higher than your thoughts, My ways are greater than your ways. Speaker A 00:03:09 But you don't have to stay that way. Speaker A 00:03:11 You don't have to stay down on that low level of operation because I'll send my word forth and it'll do the same thing to you that the rain does to the earth. Speaker A 00:03:21 You'll bud and it'll grow in you and then you'll begin to walk and do the things that God does. Speaker A 00:03:27 The Bible tells us to be like him. Speaker A 00:03:30 In fact, the book of Ephesians says to be followers of God as little children follow their parents. Speaker A 00:03:37 Now the Greek word translated follower. Speaker A 00:03:39 In the King James translation there is a word spelled M I M E T E S. Speaker A 00:03:45 We get our word mimic from it. Speaker A 00:03:48 And the Greek text literally says to imitate God or mimic God, act like God. Speaker A 00:03:55 Like a child imitates or mimics its parents. Speaker A 00:04:00 And walk in love. Speaker A 00:04:01 It says, as Christ loved us, imitate God. Speaker A 00:04:06 Well now how are you going to do that if you can't figure out how he thinks and what he does? Speaker A 00:04:12 We imitate God in his word, we go to what he has said and then we begin to say the same thing. Speaker A 00:04:24 We look at Jesus. Speaker A 00:04:25 Jesus said, if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Speaker A 00:04:30 We look at Jesus and then do our best, act like him. Speaker A 00:04:34 Now some people have been afraid to act like Jesus. Speaker A 00:04:38 I realize after studying some of the things in the background of Catholicism, I realized that there is more fear than anything else where Mary's involvement is in the Catholic Church. Speaker A 00:04:54 People afraid to go directly to God and try to go to her. Speaker A 00:04:58 Well now I guess she'll help you as much as she can. Speaker A 00:05:02 She's a good woman. Speaker A 00:05:04 Been born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. Speaker A 00:05:06 The Bible said so. Speaker A 00:05:07 On the day of Pentecost, she was in the room where the spirit of God came in. Speaker A 00:05:11 She spoke in tongues like the rest of them. Speaker A 00:05:13 She'll help you as much as she can, but she'll never be able to take the place of Jesus. Speaker A 00:05:18 And he said he was the way to the Father. Speaker A 00:05:22 We must begin to realize that God intends for us to act like him. Speaker A 00:05:26 He doesn't intend for us to continue acting like the devil. Speaker A 00:05:30 Now you're going to act like one or the other. Speaker A 00:05:32 There's no such thing as the in between. Speaker A 00:05:35 Some men think I'm a self made man. Speaker A 00:05:38 No, you're not. Speaker A 00:05:41 You know, I got, I make $75,000 a year. Speaker A 00:05:47 I got three Chris Crafts. Speaker A 00:05:49 Well, big deal. Speaker A 00:05:56 In the sight Of God. Speaker A 00:05:57 That doesn't mean much. Speaker A 00:05:59 And I've got news for you. Speaker A 00:06:01 You either acting like God or the devil. Speaker A 00:06:04 And guess who that guy acts like worst you ever saw. Speaker A 00:06:11 And he thinks he did it all. Speaker A 00:06:14 Well, let me tell you something. Speaker A 00:06:16 How come then he's smart enough to get that fortune and too dumb to keep it? Speaker A 00:06:24 Hmm? Speaker A 00:06:25 Same brain, same hands, same world, same devil. Speaker A 00:06:34 You know what he is? Speaker A 00:06:36 I'm going to answer a question in a lot of his mind. Speaker A 00:06:38 Been there for years. Speaker A 00:06:40 Somebody say, brother Copeland, how come is that guy act just like the devil, lives like the devil and. Speaker A 00:06:46 And he's blessed with all that money? Speaker A 00:06:47 Let me tell you something, folks. Speaker A 00:06:48 Satan's not blessing anybody, least of all Baptists, Methodist, Presbyterian. Speaker A 00:06:58 No. Speaker A 00:06:59 Somewhere people got the idea that God and the devil swap places and that God's beating everybody up and making them all sick, trying to teach them something. Speaker A 00:07:07 And the devil's blessing them, making them rich and doing all the healing, that the devil's the one making them talk in tongues. Speaker A 00:07:15 Did you know what the Bible said? Speaker A 00:07:17 When a man talks in tongues, he talks to God. Speaker A 00:07:19 The devil's not doing that like one fellow said. Speaker A 00:07:23 He said, I know that. Speaker A 00:07:25 That had to be God that healed my deacon, because the devil's not out healing members of the First Baptist Church. Speaker A 00:07:32 He said, I got better sense than that. Speaker A 00:07:34 I know good and well that he's not doing that. Speaker A 00:07:38 Now listen, when a man begins to act like God, he'll go the direction of God. Speaker A 00:07:46 When a man's acting like the devil, you see, he begins to. Speaker A 00:07:50 He begins to take on the nature of the devil. Speaker A 00:07:53 And the more he acts that way, the worse he gets. Speaker A 00:07:59 Now, this man that looks like he's been so blessed and he acts, you know, like the devil himself and got all the money. Speaker A 00:08:07 Don't you realize he is a satanic reservoir? Speaker A 00:08:13 Satan is funneling all in. Speaker A 00:08:15 He care where that guy lives or dies. Speaker A 00:08:17 He's not blessing anybody. Speaker A 00:08:19 He's a killer and a thief and a destroyer and he hates mankind. Speaker A 00:08:25 Somebody said, don't you know the devil hated to lose? Speaker A 00:08:27 That old boy could care less. Speaker A 00:08:30 Care less. Speaker A 00:08:32 Hell's full of them. Speaker A 00:08:33 He could care less. Speaker A 00:08:36 But the man has become a satanic reservoir for Satan to funnel resources in there, knowing that the church can't get its hands on it. Speaker A 00:08:47 Now, right. Speaker A 00:08:48 On the other hand, there are a lot of guys over here that takes God as their partner, but he doesn't have any checking privileges. Speaker A 00:08:56 And so Satan won't bother him too much. Speaker A 00:09:00 But when this man goes to acting like God, God is a giver, you see, when he begins to learn that give and it'll be given to you again that you can't out give God and begins to do it the way Jesus ministered it. Speaker A 00:09:12 I want you to know Satan will just do everything he can to break him. Speaker A 00:09:18 But right then, if that man will learn to walk on the eternal word of God and just stand, praise God and just keep on acting like Jesus. Speaker A 00:09:28 Just keep on acting like Jesus. Speaker A 00:09:30 What would Jesus do in this particular situation? Speaker A 00:09:32 Hold back or give? Speaker A 00:09:34 You know what he would do. Speaker A 00:09:35 What would he do in this particular situation? Speaker A 00:09:38 And that old boy laying out there in the street in trouble. Speaker A 00:09:40 Run call an ambulance? Speaker A 00:09:42 No, he'd pray for him. Speaker A 00:09:44 Yes, brother Copeland. Speaker A 00:09:46 But I don't know where God would heal him if I prayed for him or not. Speaker A 00:09:50 That's cause you don't know God's word. Speaker A 00:09:52 God's word said these signs will follow the believer, not the unbeliever. Speaker A 00:09:58 When you get to be a believer, then go on over there because those signs will follow you. Speaker A 00:10:05 Somebody said, yes, but what if he doesn't? Speaker A 00:10:07 That's none of your business. Speaker A 00:10:09 All your business is, is to go and believe it. Speaker A 00:10:14 I don't bother me a bit to pray for somebody, turn around and walk off. Speaker A 00:10:18 Somebody said we didn't wait and see if he got healed. Speaker A 00:10:20 What I care? Speaker A 00:10:21 The healing's not my business. Speaker A 00:10:24 The laying on of my hands is my business. Speaker A 00:10:26 That's what Jesus said do. Speaker A 00:10:28 I'm a believer and a lot of times it's more healthy. Speaker A 00:10:31 Just turn around and walk off. Speaker A 00:10:32 I don't care what it looks like. Speaker A 00:10:34 That's Jesus business. Speaker A 00:10:36 I'm going to leave him with the Lord. Speaker A 00:10:39 Amen. Speaker A 00:10:40 Are you following what I'm saying? Speaker A 00:10:43 See, he said, so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth. Speaker A 00:10:51 It will prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it. Speaker A 00:10:56 But then now he said something else. Speaker A 00:10:57 He said, it will not return unto me void. Speaker A 00:11:05 Well now wait a minute. Speaker A 00:11:06 How's the word going to get back to him? Speaker A 00:11:09 Just bounce off the earth? Speaker A 00:11:13 No, he said it's like the rain. Speaker A 00:11:14 It comes down there and doesn't go back. Speaker A 00:11:18 How can it be like the rain and come here and stay and yet go back? Speaker A 00:11:25 The word of God is in the earth and it'll remain here forever. Speaker A 00:11:29 The Bible said that it has come into the earth and it will remain here forever for men to act on and believe. Speaker A 00:11:39 Not only now, but in the ages to come. Speaker A 00:11:44 It will not leave the earth. Speaker A 00:11:47 But yet how will it return to God and not Return void. Speaker A 00:11:54 We have studied up to this point the releasing of the miracle action of the word of God. Speaker A 00:12:00 As we release the word of God with our mouths as we speak and expect God to watch over his word and perform it. Speaker A 00:12:08 As we put our actions in line with the word of God. Speaker A 00:12:11 And we guard and see to it that we don't stop the miracle action of the word of God by allowing a doubt or a. Speaker A 00:12:21 A word of unbelief to get down into our consciousness and stop that word. Speaker A 00:12:27 We must guard our consciousness. Speaker A 00:12:30 Jesus said, diligently, guard your heart, for out of it are the issues or the forces of life. Speaker A 00:12:37 We must guard our own minds, our eyes, our ears, our inner man from doubt and unbelief. Speaker A 00:12:45 That man must be protected. Speaker A 00:12:47 Worst thing in the world you can do when Satan attacks you with sickness or disease is run. Speaker A 00:12:51 Turn the television on and watch about eight or nine hours of adultery. Speaker A 00:12:57 That's the worst thing in the world you can do and say, well, I don't guess I'm gonna get my healing this time. Speaker A 00:13:02 Brother Copeland, come over and prayed last night. Speaker A 00:13:04 I didn't get nothing. Speaker A 00:13:05 And you've been laying there watching those lies all day long, soaking yourself in fables and tales and untruths. Speaker A 00:13:15 Every eight or nine minutes, somebody will come on and say, when you get the big headache, that's a lot of help. Speaker A 00:13:24 That's a lot of help. Speaker A 00:13:26 He doesn't say if you get it. Speaker A 00:13:27 He just takes it for granted. Speaker A 00:13:29 You got it coming. Speaker A 00:13:31 And he says, there's a headache out there waiting on you. Speaker A 00:13:37 Oh, every few minutes, my brother Jerry said, I thank God we've got something godly in this town now to watch. Speaker A 00:13:47 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:13:49 You should absolutely. Speaker A 00:13:52 Jesus said, if your eye is single, then your whole body will be filled with light. Speaker A 00:13:59 But he said, if the light that is in you is darkness, then your whole being is flooded and filled with darkness. Speaker A 00:14:14 So how does that word get back when you and I send it back and lay it on the sacrifice altar of praise. Speaker A 00:14:32 Now, follow me carefully. Speaker A 00:14:34 I want you to get a hold of this. Speaker A 00:14:35 I'm going to give you something now, brother, that will win for you. Speaker A 00:14:39 The word of God is God's part of our prayer life. Speaker A 00:14:47 A worried mind is not a mind. Speaker A 00:14:52 That is the mind of Christ. Speaker A 00:14:55 A worried mind is not a mind controlled by the word of God. Speaker A 00:15:02 The worried mind is not a mind that is controlled and energized by the faith of Jesus Christ. Speaker A 00:15:11 Jesus said, why do you even take one thought? Speaker A 00:15:18 Why do you worry one little bit? Speaker A 00:15:22 Because doing that you can't add 1 inch to your stature, not one little bit. Speaker A 00:15:29 He said, your heavenly Father knows you have need of these things. Speaker A 00:15:32 He said, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you. Speaker A 00:15:38 Can you see what he said? Speaker A 00:15:40 So what do we do then with the word of God? Speaker A 00:15:45 How do we stop worry? Speaker A 00:15:48 How do you stop fear? Speaker A 00:15:50 Worry is nothing in the world but an expression of fear. Speaker A 00:15:52 And, and 99% of the stuff you've been worrying about never happens. Speaker A 00:15:58 Most of it is things that are controlling your thinking. Speaker A 00:16:06 The world is controlled by the force of fear. Speaker A 00:16:10 I think I'll back up just a little bit here and, and take a, a, a few moments time here again in the Garden of Eden and show you something about fear. Speaker A 00:16:21 Here's this man, Adam. Speaker A 00:16:22 God created him. Speaker A 00:16:23 And the Bible said, God said it was good. Speaker A 00:16:25 Isn't that right? Speaker A 00:16:26 Well, the Bible also said it's impossible to please God without faith. Speaker A 00:16:30 That man must have had faith in him. Speaker A 00:16:33 Had to. Speaker A 00:16:34 God gave it to him. Speaker A 00:16:36 He was born from the heart of God and God is a faith being. Speaker A 00:16:41 But now this man committed high treason and every single thing about him was perverted. Speaker A 00:16:49 That faith that he had used to obey God, rule this world, name all those animals and all the great feats that he did. Speaker A 00:17:02 That faith that he used was now turned into fear. Speaker A 00:17:06 And it had connected him with his new God, Satan. Speaker A 00:17:13 And fear activates Satan the way faith activates God. Speaker A 00:17:18 Job said that, that I've so greatly feared has come upon me. Speaker A 00:17:22 He got her brother. Speaker A 00:17:25 Somebody said, well, God dropped the hedge. Speaker A 00:17:27 No, God didn't drop the hedge. Speaker A 00:17:29 You read that wrong. Speaker A 00:17:31 The hedge was already down. Speaker A 00:17:35 God told Satan, he said, behold or look, he is in your power. Speaker A 00:17:43 See, Job was in the power of Satan. Speaker A 00:17:45 And Satan didn't even know it. Speaker A 00:17:48 He didn't realize that that hedge was down until God told, well, nothing God do about it. Speaker A 00:17:54 Job already torn it down and boy, I mean he tied into him. Speaker A 00:17:58 But the very minute that Job moved back on his faith, and now I'm not talking about three weeks later, I'm talking about instantly. Speaker A 00:18:07 The minute he prayed for that other man, the hedge went back up and Satan was through and kicked out of the deal. Speaker A 00:18:12 And Job was healed and received back twice. Speaker A 00:18:15 Everything he lost, his deliverance was instant. Speaker A 00:18:18 The minute he began to act on what he knew was the word of God. Speaker A 00:18:22 But it took him days and days and days to get back around to it. Speaker A 00:18:26 He didn't have the privilege of having a Bible written down laying in his lap. Speaker A 00:18:31 And it had been distorted and changed in his thinking over a period of time. Speaker A 00:18:36 And these other two dingleberries didn't help any. Speaker A 00:18:41 You can find them. Speaker A 00:18:43 Every time you go to find something out of the word of God, there's going to be two from anywhere from two to a dozen that come by. Speaker A 00:18:49 Thus saith the Lord and straighten you out. Speaker A 00:18:53 That's all right. Speaker A 00:18:54 Just smile and turn them off. Speaker A 00:18:58 Just stand there and smile and just let it shoot plumb by you. Speaker A 00:19:03 Get to where you can look somebody right in the face and never hear a word to say. Speaker A 00:19:09 If you got the word of God in you. Speaker A 00:19:11 Now if you don't, you're in trouble. Speaker A 00:19:14 So the word of God must become God's part of our prayer life. Speaker A 00:19:25 Now let me tall this up. Speaker A 00:19:27 I've shot a lot of statements to you in a lot of different directions. Speaker A 00:19:30 Tonight we release the miracle action of God through our mouths and through our actions. Speaker A 00:19:36 But now we also release the miracle action of God when we place his word on the altar of our prayer life. Speaker A 00:19:45 Now let me show you exactly what I mean. Speaker A 00:19:49 Remember, we're returning this thing to God. Speaker A 00:19:53 Do you remember that Abraham in the book of Genesis, the 15th chapter and the 10th long about the 10th verses long in there, he had a. Speaker A 00:20:03 He was inquiring of God about something and he. Speaker A 00:20:07 God told him, said, make a sacrifice. Speaker A 00:20:08 Told him what to put on it. Speaker A 00:20:10 He said, when that sacrifice is consumed, you'll have the answer. Speaker A 00:20:15 Now what happened? Speaker A 00:20:16 Abraham made the sacrifice and he put the sacrifice up on the altar. Speaker A 00:20:20 And the Bible says that the birds of prey came to take that sacrifice away one night. Speaker A 00:20:26 He just sat there and said, lord Tim, buzzards just getting my sacrifice. Speaker A 00:20:32 You know what? Speaker A 00:20:33 He never would have got his answer. Speaker A 00:20:38 Thank God he tied into those buzzards and everything else. Speaker A 00:20:41 He fought them off. Speaker A 00:20:43 He fought them off until the sacrifice was consumed. Speaker A 00:20:48 And he had his answer. Speaker A 00:20:50 He fought those buzzards off his sacrifice. Speaker A 00:20:53 Now we do the same thing with God's word. Speaker A 00:20:56 Let me show you how. Speaker A 00:20:58 Let's take for instance. Speaker A 00:20:59 Well, I'll just give you an incident that happened to me. Speaker A 00:21:02 I was on the island of Jamaica. Speaker A 00:21:04 I had preached over there now for. Speaker A 00:21:08 Well, I preached in this in the city of Shreveport. Speaker A 00:21:10 We had an all day apart over there in Shreveport. Speaker A 00:21:13 And I was it. Speaker A 00:21:15 I had the ball and I preached from a little after breakfast that morning. Speaker A 00:21:22 It was about 8:30 when I got started. Speaker A 00:21:24 We'd had breakfast and got started in the meeting. Speaker A 00:21:26 And I quit that afternoon at just after five. Speaker A 00:21:30 Preached all day and so I caught an airplane the next Morning going to. Speaker A 00:21:38 Well, I flew to Miami and caught an airplane down there and flew to Jamaica. Speaker A 00:21:43 I got over there that night and had service that night. Speaker A 00:21:47 I spoke about 10 or 15 minutes off and then the next morning. Speaker A 00:21:51 And I had preached for over six months straight through, seven days a week, two services a day, right straight through. Speaker A 00:21:57 Except on some Sundays. Speaker A 00:21:58 I didn't have one service without a lit up. Speaker A 00:22:02 And I got over there. Speaker A 00:22:03 I. Speaker A 00:22:03 Needless to say, I was tired. Speaker A 00:22:05 I preached. Speaker A 00:22:07 Well, not only that over there, tree forth that day, that night, after that 5:00 something after that service over with, they took me out to Centenary and I preached out there for about an hour and a half. Speaker A 00:22:16 Didn't get away from there about 10:30, 11:00 at night. Speaker A 00:22:19 Preached all day long, 10, 11 hours the next morning. Speaker A 00:22:27 Now, there was about, oh, seven, 750 people jammed in this church and there was a lot of people outside. Speaker A 00:22:34 I don't know how many is out there, but there's good 700 inside that church. Speaker A 00:22:38 And we started just after 10 o'clock that morning and I was to take the morning service. Speaker A 00:22:45 Now, that's all I knew, supposed to be the morning service. Speaker A 00:22:48 I got up out of my chair and started over here. Speaker A 00:22:51 And the pastor was sitting over here like Jerry is. Speaker A 00:22:54 And I got about here and I turned around, I said, keith, how long you want me to take? Speaker A 00:23:00 He said, brother Copeland, let them off from 1 to 2 for lunch. Speaker A 00:23:08 I looked at him, I couldn't believe what he said. Speaker A 00:23:10 I said, keith, are you serious? Speaker A 00:23:12 He said, don't let him off at all. Speaker A 00:23:13 He don't want to. Speaker A 00:23:16 Boy, I want you to know these folks had come to church. Speaker A 00:23:21 Whoo. Speaker A 00:23:23 And here, boy, I'll tell you. Speaker A 00:23:25 I'd been preached until it looked like to me, it got to the point where they said, just put a nickel in the preacher and watch him run. Speaker A 00:23:31 I just about ready to fall over. Speaker A 00:23:33 I was so tired, my voice had just, just about quit. Speaker A 00:23:41 Well, I started preaching and I let them off from 1 to 2. Speaker A 00:23:47 Because by the time I got to that point that morning, I want you to know, you couldn't hear me any further than the first two rows. Speaker A 00:23:54 My voice was gone now. Speaker A 00:23:57 I was holding the microphone cupped up in my hands as close as I could to my mouth where they could hear me in the rest of the congregation. Speaker A 00:24:03 I absolutely, I didn't have any voice. Speaker A 00:24:04 It was gone. Speaker A 00:24:06 Now watch this. Speaker A 00:24:07 I know good. Speaker A 00:24:08 Well, I've got to pray. Speaker A 00:24:10 What I'd like to do right then, better than anything else, is go somewhere and Pass out. Speaker A 00:24:17 Now that's what I wanted to do. Speaker A 00:24:19 The last thing in the world I wanted to do was exercise any faith and believe God. Speaker A 00:24:26 The last thing I felt like doing, doing was coming back in there and preaching from 2 to 5:30. Speaker A 00:24:38 So I walked off back there in the back room. Speaker A 00:24:49 I am beginning right now, right this moment. Speaker A 00:24:52 I'm fixing to lay his word on the altar. Speaker A 00:24:57 Now listen, this word must become to you God's part of your prayers, if you'll allow it to be that you can start off with the answer and not just the problem. Speaker A 00:25:19 You can have your prayer answered before you ever pray it. Speaker A 00:25:22 You can deal with God on the basis of the answer to the prayer. Speaker A 00:25:26 And you ever watch the prayers that Jesus prayed, That's exactly the way he prayed. Speaker A 00:25:31 Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be our name. Speaker A 00:25:34 Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Speaker A 00:25:38 Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us of our sins. Speaker A 00:25:41 He didn't stop and dwell on anything. Speaker A 00:25:42 He just presented it to God. Speaker A 00:25:44 And how did he start off? Speaker A 00:25:45 He. Speaker A 00:25:45 He started off with the answer instead of the problem. Speaker A 00:25:47 He said, you will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Speaker A 00:25:54 Now there's the answer to the prayer, brother, right there. Speaker A 00:25:57 That's the answer to that whole prayer all the way through it. Speaker A 00:26:00 It's already answered. Speaker A 00:26:01 For you have prayed in him. Speaker A 00:26:04 Are you following what I'm saying to you? Speaker A 00:26:06 My word will not return unto me void, but it will accomplish that which I please. Speaker A 00:26:11 And, and it will prosper in the thing whereunto. Speaker A 00:26:14 I sent it. Speaker A 00:26:16 I put that word up before God. Speaker A 00:26:18 I do it just exactly that way. Speaker A 00:26:20 I opened it up to 1st Peter 2:24 and I read it out loud. Speaker A 00:26:44 I said, father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, here's what your word who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree. Speaker A 00:26:58 That we being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed. Speaker A 00:27:08 All right, there's the answer to the throat problem. Speaker A 00:27:10 Look at me like doesn't look that way to you. Speaker A 00:27:15 I mean, now wait a minute. Speaker A 00:27:17 Now, wait. Speaker A 00:27:17 Let's see. Speaker A 00:27:18 Now. Speaker A 00:27:18 Jesus Walked right through that stage door over there in the flesh. Speaker A 00:27:22 And I'm sitting over here and can't talk. Speaker A 00:27:25 And Jesus walked right up here like this. Speaker A 00:27:28 What do you suppose he would say to me? Speaker A 00:27:35 Just what I just read you, son. Speaker A 00:27:40 By my stripes, you were healed. Speaker A 00:27:48 He might say, Mark 11:24. Speaker A 00:27:50 Son, whatsoever thing you desire when you pray. Speaker A 00:27:54 Believe you receive it, shall have it. Speaker A 00:27:57 Well, I hear his word is no less valid today than it was the day he said it the first time. Speaker A 00:28:02 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:28:04 See, this word is active and alive. Speaker A 00:28:06 And it's filled with the faith of God. Speaker A 00:28:07 The Bible says. Speaker A 00:28:09 All right, here's the way I prayed. Speaker A 00:28:11 I said, father, in the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:28:15 If I were to ask my throat if it was healed, it would say no. Speaker A 00:28:23 If I were to ask those people in that church house out there if my throat was healed, they'd have to say no. Speaker A 00:28:29 They'd be lying if they say anything else. Speaker A 00:28:31 Be going by what I sound like. Speaker A 00:28:34 But I said, father, I'm not asking my throat. Speaker A 00:28:36 And I'm not asking those people out there. Speaker A 00:28:38 I have gone to your word. Speaker A 00:28:40 I'm asking you. Speaker A 00:28:41 And your word says that I'm healed. Speaker A 00:28:44 So at this moment, I am laying that up on the altar. Speaker A 00:28:47 You. Speaker A 00:28:47 You must look at that. Speaker A 00:28:48 That's your word. Speaker A 00:28:49 It's right here. Speaker A 00:28:50 You said it. Speaker A 00:28:51 Praise God, you said it. Speaker A 00:28:53 And I receive it as the answer to this predicament that I'm in. Speaker A 00:29:02 Now, you can do what you want to do, but that's what your word says. Speaker A 00:29:08 Say, Brother Copeland, do you dare pray that way? Speaker A 00:29:33 You will never be able to make it. Speaker A 00:29:35 Even if you did get your healing. Speaker A 00:29:36 You'll fall right on your back. Speaker A 00:29:38 Cause you're so tired. Speaker A 00:29:40 Well, see, the buzzards are trying to get my sacrifice. Speaker A 00:29:46 So I just started fighting them off. Speaker A 00:29:48 Just like Abraham did off of his sacrifice. Speaker A 00:29:50 You see, I put the word of God on the altar. Speaker A 00:29:53 I'm not going to let them come against me. Speaker A 00:29:54 I have scriptural basis to do that on. Speaker A 00:29:56 The Bible said, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts Itself against the word of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Speaker A 00:30:06 I said, no, that healing's mine. Speaker A 00:30:08 I didn't ask you anyhow. Speaker A 00:30:09 I didn't ask the devil if I thought I was going to get it or not. Speaker A 00:30:12 I asked the word of God and it said, I have it. Speaker A 00:30:15 Now, look here, you got the word on one hand over here, and over here you got the devil telling you you don't have it. Speaker A 00:30:23 What I want you to realize, folks, is that you are in the middle. Speaker A 00:30:27 And if you'll just wake up a little bit and see what I'm saying, you are the establishing witness. Speaker A 00:30:34 God's word will never be alive in your life unless you will take it and believe it. Speaker A 00:30:40 Satan's word will never be alive in your life unless you take it and believe it. Speaker A 00:30:45 Here you stand in the middle. Speaker A 00:30:47 The Bible said, out of the mouth of two witnesses, let every word be established. Speaker A 00:30:51 Now you're going to go one way or the other. Speaker A 00:30:53 You're going to establish what the devil says when and him telling you you don't have it and agree with him and just go lay down somewhere. Speaker A 00:31:01 Or you're going to take what God said about it and establish what he has said. Speaker A 00:31:05 But you are the establishing witness. Speaker A 00:31:08 You are the one that's going to go one way or the other. Speaker A 00:31:10 And neither one of them will happen in your life until you make a decision. Speaker A 00:31:14 If you make no decision at all and try to cop out on it, you'll join with this one over here. Speaker A 00:31:20 Satan. Speaker A 00:31:21 You will not have it. Speaker A 00:31:24 So I just started in right there, and I was walking up down to pastor's floor. Speaker A 00:31:27 I said, I just want to thank you now for my healing. Speaker A 00:31:29 Praise God because your word says it's mine. Speaker A 00:31:31 I'm thanking you now for it. Speaker A 00:31:34 And every time one of the buzzards would come at me, I'd knock him in the head with the word of God. Speaker A 00:31:38 That's what that sword of the spirit is for, the weapon that we use in this warfare. Speaker A 00:31:43 Stick it in him, he'll run. Speaker A 00:31:46 Stick that sword in him and twist it around a little bit. Speaker A 00:31:51 I'll guarantee. Speaker A 00:31:52 Satan, get off the point of that blade. Speaker A 00:31:53 Jesus proved. Speaker A 00:31:56 I just kept on saying it. Speaker A 00:31:58 I'm healed. Speaker A 00:31:59 Somebody said, you sure don't sound healed. Speaker A 00:32:00 I didn't ask. Speaker A 00:32:01 You see, that's my point. Speaker A 00:32:05 I've got the word on the altar. Speaker A 00:32:07 Somebody said, you're lying. Speaker A 00:32:08 You're not healed. Speaker A 00:32:09 No, if God's word's a lie, then I'm lying. Speaker A 00:32:13 But I'm not afraid to speak of things I can't see. Speaker A 00:32:16 Because when I got his word on the altar. Speaker A 00:32:17 Now if I hadn't had his word on the altar, you see, I would be in trouble. Speaker A 00:32:21 But I have gone to the place of putting his word on the altar. Speaker A 00:32:24 Abraham could have just as plainly said, if somebody walked up that altar, said, what you done, Abe? Speaker A 00:32:30 He'd say, I'm going to get an answer from God. Speaker A 00:32:33 You mean you're going to get an answer from God by burning that goat? Speaker A 00:32:37 That don't look too smart to me. Speaker A 00:32:39 Well, I didn't ask you. Speaker A 00:32:42 Well, maybe you get no, I've got the answer now. Speaker A 00:32:46 How you know you got the answer now? Speaker A 00:32:47 Cause bless God, I'm not going to let anything get that sacrifice till it's burned. Speaker A 00:32:52 God said when it got through, I'd have answers. Speaker A 00:32:54 So far as I'm concerned, I got the answer. Speaker A 00:32:56 Now, isn't that right? Speaker A 00:32:59 Or God's a lie. Speaker A 00:33:00 He's no man that he should lie. Speaker A 00:33:03 So I walked out there in front of that pulpit. Speaker A 00:33:08 Everybody thinks you're a nut, but praise God, you win. Speaker A 00:33:13 I walked up there in front of that crowd. Speaker A 00:33:17 I said, I prayed back there a while ago, and I asked the word of God if I was healed. Speaker A 00:33:27 And it says I am. Speaker A 00:33:30 If I was to ask you if I was healed, you'd say no. Speaker A 00:33:34 If I was to ask my throat, you didn't say no, but I didn't ask you. Speaker A 00:33:38 And I didn't ask my throat. Speaker A 00:33:40 I asked the word of God, and it says I was healed at Calvary. Speaker A 00:33:43 And I want you people just to help me praise God for my healing. Speaker A 00:33:46 And they looked at me like I some kind of banana, you know. Speaker A 00:33:50 And so I just started. Speaker A 00:33:51 I said, praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:33:52 And they didn't know whether to praise the Lord or not. Speaker A 00:33:54 They didn't know whether to do that or not. Speaker A 00:33:56 Few of them caught on what I said and caught hold of. Speaker A 00:33:59 The pastor was just. Speaker A 00:34:00 Just jumping up and down, man. Speaker A 00:34:02 He just praising God. Speaker A 00:34:03 He knew what was going to happen. Speaker A 00:34:05 And I. Speaker A 00:34:06 And I started praying. Speaker A 00:34:07 I just lift my hand. Speaker A 00:34:07 I had my Bible laid up there on the off like that. Speaker A 00:34:10 I said, there it is. Speaker A 00:34:10 That's what you said right there. Speaker A 00:34:13 Just started in praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:34:15 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:34:16 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:34:17 Thank you, Jesus. Speaker A 00:34:18 I got my healing. Speaker A 00:34:19 It's mine. Speaker A 00:34:19 You said it right there. Speaker A 00:34:20 Praise God. Speaker A 00:34:21 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:34:22 And she come right on up to preaching volume. Speaker A 00:34:24 I preached until 5:30 that afternoon. Speaker A 00:34:26 When I got through there, they took me up in the mountains. Speaker A 00:34:28 They said, you got to hurry. Speaker A 00:34:30 They're waiting Church service on you and got up there. Speaker A 00:34:33 And I preached a church service that night and did pass out when I got outside. Speaker A 00:34:39 Preached over there a solid week. Speaker A 00:34:40 And I'll tell you something else. Speaker A 00:34:43 2, 3, 4 years have come and gone. Speaker A 00:34:47 And my throat is still perfectly well, thank you. Speaker A 00:34:52 Now, that is the way that God's word returns to him. Speaker A 00:34:57 Not void. Speaker A 00:34:59 Now, you know and I know that there is law on the books of the state of Texas. Speaker A 00:35:05 There are federal laws on the books of the United States of America that say theft is illegal. Speaker A 00:35:12 But unless somebody stands in front of the judge with that law book in his hand and exercises it in front of that judge on that thief, that thief will go free. Speaker A 00:35:32 And if you don't take the word of God and offer it before him as the judge of this universe, the devil's going to continue to rack your life and hang you out to dry. Speaker A 00:35:43 But the day you make up your mind, no. Speaker A 00:35:45 Bless God, my God's word. Speaker A 00:35:47 So. Speaker A 00:35:48 And it says, cast him out. Speaker A 00:35:49 The Bible says he had no authority over me anymore. Speaker A 00:35:53 That I've been delivered from the power of darkness. Speaker A 00:35:55 Praise God. Speaker A 00:35:56 Stick your heels in the ground. Speaker A 00:35:57 Stick the word in him. Speaker A 00:35:59 And show the word of God to the Lord Jesus Christ and say, I'm standing on it. Speaker A 00:36:03 Praise God. Speaker A 00:36:04 And no buzzard gonna get it till I get it completely done in my life. Speaker A 00:36:08 And you're on your way out, partner. Speaker A 00:36:10 Right? Speaker A 00:36:10 Then you're on your way out. Speaker A 00:36:13 Right there. Speaker A 00:36:13 That's the way the game works now. Speaker A 00:36:16 We lay the word on the altar, and then we watch over it. Speaker A 00:36:20 Now, how do you watch over it? Speaker A 00:36:21 Turn with me to the book of Hebrews. Speaker A 00:36:24 This is most important. Speaker A 00:36:27 Hebrews, chapter four. Speaker A 00:36:33 I was reading a letter one afternoon that had been sent to me. Speaker A 00:36:36 A lady was asking for prayer. Speaker A 00:36:38 And as she wrote this letter, she said, brother Copeland, I can't seem to touch God with my problem. Speaker A 00:36:49 Well, now, that is a cliche that's used a whole lot, particularly in full gospel circles. Speaker A 00:36:56 I've heard it ever since I could remember. Speaker A 00:36:58 And every time I'd ever heard it before, you know, it really didn't. Speaker A 00:37:02 It really didn't affect me. Speaker A 00:37:04 My really stop and think about it either way. Speaker A 00:37:06 You know how we use those kind of cliches. Speaker A 00:37:09 A lot of times we ought to stop and see what they mean. Speaker A 00:37:11 A lot of them we'd have to get rid of. Speaker A 00:37:14 She said, I can't seem to touch. Speaker A 00:37:15 Touch. Speaker A 00:37:15 God was my problem. Speaker A 00:37:18 And I read that, you know, and started on that. Speaker A 00:37:21 The Lord stopped me and said, no, now, see, that's what's wrong right there? Speaker A 00:37:24 Says she's trying to touch me with her problem. Speaker A 00:37:28 I said, well, what's wrong with that? Speaker A 00:37:31 He said, son, I'm already touched with the feelings of her infirmity. Speaker A 00:37:35 He said, what I'm trying to do is get her attention with the answer to that. Speaker A 00:37:40 And said, if she'd start trying to touch me with the answer instead of the problem, she and I together could agree on that. Speaker A 00:37:46 See if the two of you agree that she's sick, she's had it. Speaker A 00:37:53 Really. Speaker A 00:37:54 I've had people come to me in the prayer line and say, I'm sick. Speaker A 00:37:57 I said, the word says you're healed. Speaker A 00:37:58 Yeah, but I'm sick. Speaker A 00:38:00 The Word says you healed. Speaker A 00:38:01 Yeah, but I'm sick. Speaker A 00:38:02 Brother Copeland, you don't understand. Speaker A 00:38:05 Well, Jesus does. Speaker A 00:38:07 What I'm trying to do, you see, is get the word to you. Speaker A 00:38:10 If I agree with you, you've had it. Speaker A 00:38:13 If you'll agree with me, we'll get you healed. Speaker A 00:38:18 See how we've been problem centered? Speaker A 00:38:22 Now I said, well, Lord, how do I straighten this out? Speaker A 00:38:25 He said, you go to the fourth chapter of Hebrews and I'll show you how it's straightened out. Speaker A 00:38:29 Now, let's read here in the ninth verse. Speaker A 00:38:30 There remaineth therefore rest the people of God. Speaker A 00:38:33 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own work, as God did from his. Speaker A 00:38:40 See, there is a place where we can rest and let the Word of God do the work. Speaker A 00:38:44 Praise God. Speaker A 00:38:45 And he says, let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest we fall after the same example of unbelief. Speaker A 00:38:53 For the Word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints, and of the mara and of. Speaker A 00:39:04 And is a discerner of the thoughts and the intent of the heart. Speaker A 00:39:08 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight. Speaker A 00:39:27 Now he comes down here talking about the Word of God. Speaker A 00:39:30 And he said, neither is there any creature that's not manifest in his side. Speaker A 00:39:34 He has actually said here the word of God. Speaker A 00:39:39 He. Speaker A 00:39:41 Do you notice how absolutely the Holy Spirit connects Jesus and the Word? Speaker A 00:39:47 There's not anything that is not covered in the whole spectrum of humanity in this Word. Speaker A 00:39:55 God's got an answer for you, brother, in this book. Speaker A 00:39:59 Can you imagine how big the Library of Congress is? Speaker A 00:40:03 How many volumes are in there? Speaker A 00:40:05 Wow. Speaker A 00:40:05 And here's the Holy Ghost has covered the entire spectrum of human existence in 66 volumes. Speaker A 00:40:13 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:40:14 All them other cats are still hunting it and we found it. Speaker A 00:40:17 Praise God. Speaker A 00:40:19 The truth is in Jesus, and he has put every single thing that God has to say to humanity down in this book. Speaker A 00:40:27 And he will lead you and guide you into all the truth. Speaker A 00:40:30 He'll show you exactly where that answer is if you believe him for it. Speaker A 00:40:35 Now watch this. Speaker A 00:40:36 Neither is there any creature that's not manifest in his sight, but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have the dew. Speaker A 00:40:44 You see, the Lord told me, he said, that woman said, I've already been touched with her problem. Speaker A 00:40:49 I already see it. Speaker A 00:40:50 I already know about that. Speaker A 00:40:51 My eyes are open and said, everything's naked before I see that. Speaker A 00:40:59 Then he says, seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our profession. Speaker A 00:41:13 Now she was holding fast to that problem, trying to get it to God, and he already knew it, and he's trying to keep the receiving it. Speaker A 00:41:27 That's deception. Speaker A 00:41:28 Satan is the author of it. Speaker A 00:41:34 Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our profession. Speaker A 00:41:41 For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted, like as we are, yet without sin. Speaker A 00:41:49 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and grace to find help in a time of need. Speaker A 00:41:55 He didn't say, come, hope and get it. Speaker A 00:41:57 He said, come, obtain it. Speaker A 00:42:00 So how do I hold fast to my profession? Speaker A 00:42:03 How do I hold fast to it? Speaker A 00:42:05 You can't, unless you got something to profess. Speaker A 00:42:08 So that's where the word comes in. Speaker A 00:42:12 Holding fast to my confession of faith, holding fast to it. Speaker A 00:42:16 I go to the Word, I get my answer. Speaker A 00:42:19 If I don't know where else it is, I go to John 16:23. Speaker A 00:42:22 Jesus said, Whatever soever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he'll give it you. Speaker A 00:42:28 I have the ear of God with the name of Jesus and the Word of God. Speaker A 00:42:32 But most Christians fail and fall in their prayer life on two points. Speaker A 00:42:38 Number one is not knowing the answer. Speaker A 00:42:40 To start with, Jesus is the answer. Speaker A 00:42:42 He's provided a way, and you've got that way. Speaker A 00:42:44 Laying There in your lap. Speaker A 00:42:47 You're not intended by God to go on and suffer loss and shame and degradation in this earth. Speaker A 00:42:54 After you become a child of God, you've got the answer. Speaker A 00:42:58 Praise God, in Jesus is his name. Speaker A 00:43:01 Now, to the sinning world that doesn't know that that's true. Speaker A 00:43:04 That's where you and I come in, is take the answer to his prayer that he's been screaming out, my God, help me. Speaker A 00:43:10 And we become the answer to that prayer by taking Jesus his answer to him. Speaker A 00:43:18 From that point on, he should realize before he even prays, Jesus is the answer to this thing. Speaker A 00:43:23 What's he having his word to say about it? Speaker A 00:43:26 What does he have to say about this thing? Speaker A 00:43:27 In His Word, I take his word for it. Speaker A 00:43:31 Then I bite into that word that says I'm healed. Speaker A 00:43:35 I bite into it that says my needs are met according to his riches and glory. Speaker A 00:43:39 And I refuse to let the buzzards take it out of my mouth. Speaker A 00:43:44 I don't care how they come or in what form or how often or how intense it gets. Speaker A 00:43:51 Jesus is still on his throne. Speaker A 00:43:54 And that prayer changes things. Speaker A 00:43:57 The word of God says, we know if we pray according to his will, he heareth us, and whatsoever we desire, we shall have the petitions that we desired of him. Speaker A 00:44:09 Glory to God. Speaker A 00:44:11 How much more in the will of God can you get than his own word? Speaker A 00:44:17 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:44:19 You get anything out of what I've shared with you tonight? Speaker A 00:44:22 Watch over your confession? Speaker A 00:44:24 You watch the confession of your mouth like a hawk. Speaker A 00:44:29 You don't go in and pray and uphold God's word to him and say your word gives me life, and turn right around and say that you tickle me to death. Speaker A 00:44:49 Satan is a legalist and he'll wear you out with it, whether you meant it or whether you didn't listen. Speaker A 00:44:56 We're playing this game for Keith, brother. Speaker A 00:45:27 And if you don't believe me, if I've got to add something else to it to impress you that I really was tickled then you must consider me a liar. Speaker A 00:47:12 That whatsoever thing I desired when I pray believed it and receive it and I could have it. Speaker A 00:47:30 And she just sat there with her mouth hung over. Speaker A 00:47:34 I said, and I want you to know, at 2:15 this morning, I believe I received my healing from my foot. Speaker A 00:47:47 One guy said to me one time, said, you some kind of a nut. Speaker A 00:47:51 He said, he said, you crazy enough to pray over a parking place? Speaker A 00:47:55 I said, I don't ever go to town without praying over a parking place. Speaker A 00:47:59 He said, I knew it. Speaker A 00:48:00 You're a nut. Speaker A 00:48:01 You're crazy. Speaker A 00:48:11 Got. Speaker A 00:48:11 Walked back out there at the car, best I could, got in the car and started over there to look at an airplane I was gonna look at. Speaker A 00:48:20 And before I got over there, I knew that I had it. Speaker A 00:48:24 I just knew there wasn't a lightning bolt hit me. Speaker A 00:48:28 Didn't see an angel, didn't have any electricity in me. Speaker A 00:48:36 Now, sometimes people go through that, but I didn't very seldom do. Speaker A 00:48:40 Just believe the word. Speaker A 00:48:42 I knew that I knew just cause I knew I knew that I knew that I knew that I knew what I knew that I knew cause I just knew it. Speaker A 00:48:54 And when I got out of my car and out there, I didn't drive over 100 yards. Speaker A 00:50:34 Whether it was just telling me he'd play catch with me in the middle of a hot afternoon and me nine years old, or whether it was help me in a desperate situation, he never backed off, never questioned it. Speaker A 00:50:49 Why? Speaker A 00:50:49 Because he's a man of his word. Speaker A 00:50:51 Consequently I don't question him today I know good and well what he'll do and what he won't do. Speaker A 00:51:04 Because I know his word's good I know what he'll do and what he want he'll do just exactly what he said he will and he won't do any more and he won't do any less because he's a man of his word I guess he'd whip me yet for lying to him I will my boy so why should I not be equally that way with God and stand on his word?
