S1E4. Miracle Action of the Word - 1
Kenneth CopelandAbout this sermon
Takeaways: The importance of meditating on God's word consistently is emphasized as essential for success and prosperity in one's endeavors. God's thoughts and ways are fundamentally higher than those of humans, highlighting the vast difference between divine wisdom and human understanding. The analogy of rain and snow is used to illustrate that God's word will accomplish its intended purpose without returning void. The concept of courage in leadership, as exemplified by Joshua, is reinforced as vital for fulfilling God's commands and leading others effectively.

Speaker A 00:00:00 Chapter 55 of Isaiah. Speaker A 00:00:07 And after you find that reference, I want you to hold your hand there and turn over to the book of Joshua and find the eighth, or rather the first chapter of Joshua, the seventh verse Joshua, chapter one, verse seven. Speaker A 00:00:32 Now let's read this scripture in Joshua. Speaker A 00:00:34 And then we'll turn right over to the book of Isaiah and we'll read it. Speaker A 00:00:38 I don't want to take the time to hunt up between the two. Speaker A 00:00:41 I want you to catch both thoughts. Speaker A 00:00:44 Joshua, chapter one, verse seven Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do all according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee. Speaker A 00:00:57 Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper whithersoever you go. Speaker A 00:01:07 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. Speaker A 00:01:21 For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then shalt thou have good success. Speaker A 00:01:28 Now let's turn over to Isaiah 55. Speaker A 00:01:32 8. Speaker A 00:01:35 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Speaker A 00:01:43 Now if God had stopped right there, Joshua would have been in a mess. Speaker A 00:01:48 If he'd stopped right there, you and I would have been in a real predicament. Speaker A 00:01:52 And we could just say, well, you know how it is. Speaker A 00:01:55 God's thoughts are so far beyond our thoughts and his ways are so far beyond our ways. Speaker A 00:02:01 Poor old us, we'll never have anything anyway. Speaker A 00:02:05 Some of us have been saying that. Speaker A 00:02:07 But there are others of us got delivered from such as that. Speaker A 00:02:10 Praise God, and thank God old Joshua did. Speaker A 00:02:13 But that's not where God ended his speaking. Speaker A 00:02:16 He said, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, and neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Speaker A 00:02:22 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Speaker A 00:02:29 For as the rain cometh down and the snow from heaven and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and maketh it bring forth bud, that it may give seed to the sore and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. Speaker A 00:02:48 It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it. Speaker A 00:02:58 Praise God. Speaker A 00:02:59 So you see, God didn't leave us without his ways or without his thoughts. Speaker A 00:03:04 Even though his ways and his thoughts are full far above yours and mine, they are not out of our reach. Speaker A 00:03:12 And because of the separation between man and God, God has sent his word to the earth. Speaker A 00:03:19 And he likens it unto rain or snow or the moisture that falls on the earth. Speaker A 00:03:25 And it comes to the earth for a reason and that's to bear fruit. Speaker A 00:03:29 He said the water causes the earth to bud in order to feed the people that are on it. Speaker A 00:03:35 Praise God. Speaker A 00:03:36 And, and he said, my word is like this. Speaker A 00:03:39 It will come to the earth and it will bear fruit and it will prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it. Speaker A 00:03:45 Praise God. Speaker A 00:03:47 Now, Joshua is in a predicament that is really, when you think about it. Speaker A 00:03:54 He's, he's got a hard way to go. Speaker A 00:03:58 This guy's got a couple of million Jews looking down their gun sights at him. Speaker A 00:04:04 He's got to follow Moses. Speaker A 00:04:09 Now that's no lightweight thing to do, is walk in behind moses and lead 2 million Jews all at the same time. Speaker A 00:04:18 Just leading 2 million Jews without having to follow Moses. Speaker A 00:04:22 Job enough, leading 2 million, anybody is a problem. Speaker A 00:04:33 But then he's got to walk in the footsteps of this man that prayed. Speaker A 00:04:39 And God calls manna to come in the middle of the desert. Speaker A 00:04:44 He's got to walk in the footsteps of the man that was on top of the mountain where God wrote his commandments in stone. Speaker A 00:04:52 Praise God. Speaker A 00:04:52 He's got to walk in the footsteps of a man that had such power shooting out from, from around him that, that when the, the later, down through the years when Michelangelo went to make the statue of Moses, the word was so harsh, saying shafts came out his head. Speaker A 00:05:11 Michelangelo thought he had horns, but it wasn't horns at all. Speaker A 00:05:16 It was shafts of fire and lightning of the power and anointing of God that was so strong that, that, that at times people looked on him. Speaker A 00:05:24 He had to wear a veil to keep from being so much power and kill. Speaker A 00:05:26 You follow a man like that and God tells this man said, be courageous. Speaker A 00:05:38 Be strong. Speaker A 00:05:39 I can just hear Joshua. Speaker A 00:05:41 Oh yeah, be courageous, man. Speaker A 00:05:44 Be strong. Speaker A 00:05:45 He says, all right. Speaker A 00:05:48 God realizes this man's in this kind of predicament. Speaker A 00:05:51 He realizes that this man has this kind of calling on him. Speaker A 00:05:54 And it is no lightweight thing. Speaker A 00:05:55 It's no small thing. Speaker A 00:05:57 God's people, God's avenue in which Jesus is going to come into the earth. Speaker A 00:06:03 God's salvation of the earth is at stake and he's not wasting words. Speaker A 00:06:09 And at a moment when he could have said, Joshua, go up into the cave up in there and lock yourself off and, and set up in there for 256 days and, and and, you know, eat dirt and grass and shout and do all these strange, weird kind of things, and maybe some kind of weird old thing will happen to you. Speaker A 00:06:34 And. Speaker A 00:06:34 And you know. Speaker A 00:06:35 No, he didn't say all that. Speaker A 00:06:36 You know what he did say? Speaker A 00:06:38 He said, joshua, now, at a moment when it is very vital, when everything is at stake, God says, meditate in my word day and night, and you will prosper and you will succeed at this monumental job. Speaker A 00:06:54 So you can see where the. Speaker A 00:06:56 You can see where God puts the premium is in his word. Speaker A 00:07:00 You know why? Speaker A 00:07:01 Because it works. Speaker A 00:07:03 Because it'll bring success. Speaker A 00:07:05 Because it will prosper in the thing whereunto he sent it. Speaker A 00:07:09 He said, meditate in it day and night, and you will observe to do all the things that are written therein. Speaker A 00:07:16 I want to talk to you tonight on the miracle action of the Word of God. Speaker A 00:07:20 God's word is a living thing. Speaker A 00:07:23 When you find men that act on God's word, when you find men that release the power of God's Word, you find miracles in action around those men. Speaker A 00:07:34 Whether their churches like it or not, you still find it around them. Speaker A 00:07:38 You find men that come alive in the midst of a dead congregation, and they may kick that man out of that congregation, and it's the worst thing in the world they could do. Speaker A 00:07:48 But sometimes men are not too smart, and they may kick that man out of that congregation, but the miracles just follow him right on out of the congregation. Speaker A 00:07:58 You don't stop the miracle power around the man unless you can somehow stop the word of God. Speaker A 00:08:08 Jesus said in John 3:21, he that does the truth will come to the light and it will be made manifest that his deeds are wrought in God. Speaker A 00:08:26 Isn't that good? Speaker A 00:08:27 I can tell by the way some of you said. Speaker A 00:08:29 Some. Speaker A 00:08:29 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker A 00:08:30 That you didn't even know it is in your Bible. Speaker A 00:08:33 John 3:21, he that does the truth, he that acts on the word of God, it will. Speaker A 00:08:40 He cometh to the light, and it will be made manifest that his deeds are wrought in God. Speaker A 00:08:48 Glory. Speaker A 00:08:50 How'd you like to have your deeds worked by God? Speaker A 00:08:55 No wonder. Speaker A 00:08:56 No wonder men that begin to act on God's word have miracle action around them. Speaker A 00:09:02 You know, actually, when I get up in the morning and the things that I do during the day, I don't really do them any different than you do or any different than anybody else. Speaker A 00:09:14 I just changed motivating forces. Speaker A 00:09:20 I live my day on the Word of God because God's Word is final authority in my life. Speaker A 00:09:27 I have my thinking governed according to God's word. Speaker A 00:09:30 And I'm going about doing the things that please him. Speaker A 00:09:35 And the miracle power of God follows me. Speaker A 00:09:40 It follows me. Speaker A 00:09:43 It's really something. Speaker A 00:09:45 It follows me. Speaker A 00:09:45 It follows Jerry. Speaker A 00:09:47 I know one time Jerry's down in Shreveport, Louisiana. Speaker A 00:09:50 Went down. Speaker A 00:09:50 Did you go down there and pray for your kin folks or somebody in the hospital? Speaker A 00:09:54 Yeah, he was in the. Speaker A 00:09:56 He went in there praying for some of his kin folks, and somebody heard him pray. Speaker A 00:10:01 And so whoever that was came and caught him, said, say, would you come down here and pray with us? Speaker A 00:10:06 Yeah, he said, I will. Speaker A 00:10:07 So he went down there and he prayed for them. Speaker A 00:10:09 God healed them. Speaker A 00:10:09 And he started out of the hospital. Speaker A 00:10:11 The Northern caught him in the elevator and would you come down here and pray with us? Speaker A 00:10:16 So he went down and prayed with them. Speaker A 00:10:17 And God healed that one. Speaker A 00:10:19 So he started out and another come down and got said, how many times that happened? Speaker A 00:10:22 4. Speaker A 00:10:23 5. Speaker A 00:10:23 4. Speaker A 00:10:24 4 times that happened before he'd get out of that hospital. Speaker A 00:10:27 And God healed every one of them. Speaker A 00:10:29 He was walking around in Omaha, Nebraska, one morning. Speaker A 00:10:33 He does this. Speaker A 00:10:34 He roams around in the street and he. Speaker A 00:10:39 He'll go into an area where we're conducting services and, you know, I'll look for him or something, and he's nowhere to be found. Speaker A 00:10:48 And he'll come up at the end of the week a lot of times in a lot of services. Speaker A 00:10:52 He did this in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and he's done it in other towns where we were, that he'd go out on the street and he'd win as many people to the Lord in the streets downtown and around like that as we did in the meeting in Jacksonville. Speaker A 00:11:05 I remember it came out exactly even. Speaker A 00:11:07 We won 152 in the meetings and he won 152 on the streets. Speaker A 00:11:13 And he was in. Speaker A 00:11:14 He was walking around down there and this guy had a hard seizure right in the middle of the street. Speaker A 00:11:22 Downtown Omaha. Speaker A 00:11:24 What time of day? Speaker A 00:11:27 Just before 2:00 in the afternoon before the meeting. Speaker A 00:11:31 And the guy's having this hard seizure, see, and people gathered up here around him. Speaker A 00:11:36 Well, Jerry walked through there and everybody said, oh, you know, that's what sympathy says. Speaker A 00:11:45 Sympathy says, I wish there's something we could do. Speaker A 00:11:49 You know what compassion says? Speaker A 00:11:51 Get out of the way, God, do something. Speaker A 00:11:56 Jesus was moved with compassion. Speaker A 00:11:58 Jerry walked through the crowd and reached down there and got the guy with a hair of the head and said, come out of him in the name of Jesus. Speaker A 00:12:05 He said he had plenty of room to work now. Speaker A 00:12:11 It happened like that, didn't it got the guy delivered right in the middle of the street. Speaker A 00:12:16 And the guy accepted the Lord and was driving. Speaker A 00:12:19 Somebody had called an ambulance and by the time the ambulance got there, didn't even need it. Speaker A 00:12:24 And the guy went away in the ambulance just saying Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Speaker A 00:12:29 Like that. Speaker A 00:12:31 Alright, now look, I happen to remember when Jerry Savelle was going broke in a body shop. Speaker A 00:12:41 Same Jerry Savelle, he was just as born again in that body shop going broke as he is tonight. Speaker A 00:12:47 He was just as filled with the Holy Ghost in that body shop as he is tonight. Speaker A 00:12:51 What's the difference? Speaker A 00:12:53 How come the miracle action in his life? Speaker A 00:12:56 It was when he became aware of the fact that God's Word was alive and real and God would watch over it to perform it. Speaker A 00:13:06 So he began to put it out. Speaker A 00:13:07 We don't have to perform the Word, that's God's part. Speaker A 00:13:11 All we do is just walk by it on it. Speaker A 00:13:15 I put a lot of pressure on His Word and I dare say that my God will and he does. Speaker A 00:13:26 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:13:27 That's what we're going to talk about tonight. Speaker A 00:13:30 The miracle action of the Word itself. Speaker A 00:13:34 Now in the first place, Hebrews the fourth chapter says that the Word is a living thing. Speaker A 00:13:40 Jesus is called the Word. Speaker A 00:13:42 He is the living word. Speaker A 00:13:44 He and the written word perfectly, absolutely in all phases agree exactly. Speaker A 00:13:51 He and the Word agree exactly. Speaker A 00:13:54 He is the word of God. Speaker A 00:13:56 This is his Word. Speaker A 00:13:58 You'll find out that the Bible says that this is the will and testament of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Speaker A 00:14:08 That's his word. Speaker A 00:14:11 It is as valid as the will of a man that has been written, signed, notarized and the man died and made it valid. Speaker A 00:14:21 Only except in this case he died, made it valid and has been raised from the dead to back it and see to it that it's carried out. Speaker A 00:14:29 Now wouldn't that be something? Speaker A 00:14:32 Wouldn't that be something? Speaker A 00:14:33 Some old boy left a will here and, and he left everything to his wife. Speaker A 00:14:37 And his cousin got in there and said he's going to take it away from his wife and said it wasn't any good. Speaker A 00:14:42 Well, what that man wrote in that will wasn't any good. Speaker A 00:14:45 And he's got her down there in the court and the courts made it look like that. Speaker A 00:14:49 That's not what that man meant when he wrote that in his will. Speaker A 00:14:52 But then the man walked in the courtroom. Speaker A 00:14:55 Woo. Speaker A 00:14:56 Heads are going to roll. Speaker A 00:14:57 Now we're going to find out who meant what. Speaker A 00:15:02 And he walks in there and says, cousin Fred, get Fred has had it. Speaker A 00:15:09 Court is adjourned there's no more argument left. Speaker A 00:15:15 It's inside the written confines of that man's will, and that man is there to back it and said it. Speaker A 00:15:25 So I like what old Smith Wigglesworth said. Speaker A 00:15:27 He said, fellas, it's outside the realm of argument because it has now been brought in the confines of the Holy Writ. Speaker A 00:15:34 Praise God. Speaker A 00:15:35 We've gone beyond argument, brethren. Speaker A 00:15:37 We're into what Jesus means now. Speaker A 00:15:40 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:15:42 Praise God. Speaker A 00:15:43 All right, now listen. Speaker A 00:15:45 Jeremiah 1:12 said, God watches over his word to perform it. Speaker A 00:15:49 I want you to turn with me tonight over to the book of Matthew. Speaker A 00:15:51 We're going to have some fun here with something that happened in the life of Jesus. Speaker A 00:15:55 Before we go on then, I'm going to show you how to release this miracle action and put it work. Speaker A 00:16:01 In fact, we can see it here in this from the Book of Matthew. Speaker A 00:16:06 Chapter 14. Speaker A 00:16:11 Matthew. Speaker A 00:16:12 Chapter 14. Speaker A 00:16:14 Look down the 22nd verse. Speaker A 00:16:17 If you have your pencil with you, I want you to underline some things here in your Bible. Speaker A 00:16:22 And straight away, Jesus. Speaker A 00:16:23 Constrained. Speaker A 00:16:24 Underline the word constrained. Speaker A 00:16:26 He ordered his disciples to get into a ship and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. Speaker A 00:16:36 Now, what did he tell them to do? Speaker A 00:16:38 He said, go to the other side. Speaker A 00:16:40 And you notice he didn't stop and say, now, fellas, that's just in case the weather's all right, did he? Speaker A 00:16:51 Do you remember what he said about men that act on his word? Speaker A 00:16:57 He said, a man that hears my word and does it, I liken him unto a man that builds his house on the rock. Speaker A 00:17:03 And when the flood comes against his house, it will not be shaken, it will stand. Speaker A 00:17:09 Well, you notice the flood came to that man's house just like it did the other one. Speaker A 00:17:13 You're not going to stop the flood. Speaker A 00:17:15 He didn't even intend to tell these men not to go if the weather was bad. Speaker A 00:17:20 He just ordered them to go. Speaker A 00:17:24 Now the Son of the living God has said, go. Speaker A 00:17:30 So they struck out for the other side. Speaker A 00:17:32 But what happened? Speaker A 00:17:34 When he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray. Speaker A 00:17:39 When the evening was come, he was there alone. Speaker A 00:17:41 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves, for the wind was contrary. Speaker A 00:17:45 And. Speaker A 00:17:46 And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. Speaker A 00:17:50 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit. Speaker A 00:17:55 And they cried out for fear. Speaker A 00:17:56 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, be of good cheer. Speaker A 00:17:59 It is I be not afraid. Speaker A 00:18:01 Peter answered and said, if it's you, tell me to come on the water. Speaker A 00:18:04 And he said, come. Speaker A 00:18:07 Now we've got two utterances of the Word of God. Speaker A 00:18:11 The word of God has been released. Speaker A 00:18:13 It's been put out. Speaker A 00:18:14 He has said, go to the other side. Speaker A 00:18:16 And the other one is come. Speaker A 00:18:20 Peter climbs out of the boat, gets out on the water and starts out there. Speaker A 00:18:27 Now remember Jeremiah 1:12 said God watches over his word to perform it. Speaker A 00:18:32 Now you know good and well Peter's not performing the Word of God. Speaker A 00:18:34 He, he. Speaker A 00:18:35 There's not any way he can walk on that water, but he's doing it. Speaker A 00:18:41 Why is God causing him not to sink for some far out spiritual reason of which we know not? Speaker A 00:18:50 No. Speaker A 00:18:55 Some weird doctrine he's trying to portray that only those that walk on the water shall receive salvation unto life. Speaker A 00:19:02 No, sir. Speaker A 00:19:04 The simple reason that the Son of God said, come on his words out. Speaker A 00:19:11 God has spoken to us. Speaker A 00:19:15 The Bible said in these last days by his son. Speaker A 00:19:19 He said something and God backed it. Speaker A 00:19:22 I don't care whether you and I think it's foolish or not, that didn't have anything to do with it. Speaker A 00:19:26 Bless God. Speaker A 00:19:26 He walked on the water. Speaker A 00:19:29 The proof of the pudding's in the eating of it, isn't it? Speaker A 00:19:35 Very simple. Speaker A 00:19:37 His word was on the spot and God confirmed it. Speaker A 00:19:43 And he walked. Speaker A 00:19:43 But now watch this. Speaker A 00:19:47 He walked on the water to go to Jesus. Speaker A 00:19:49 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink. Speaker A 00:19:54 He cried, saying, lord, save me. Speaker A 00:19:55 See, he didn't even wait till he sank before he cried out defeat. Speaker A 00:20:00 It says beginning to sink. Speaker A 00:20:02 He cried. Speaker A 00:20:04 Now I really would like to know what the wind was going to have to do with him sinking anyway. Speaker A 00:20:14 Now if he'd still been over there in the boat, it might have had something to do with that boat sinking. Speaker A 00:20:19 But now I'll tell you what. Speaker A 00:20:20 Are you going to sit there and tell me that if it's real calm and there's not a breath of wind blowing, you can go walk across the swimming pool? Speaker A 00:20:28 You're out of your skull. Speaker A 00:20:30 You know it. Speaker A 00:20:32 What happened here? Speaker A 00:20:34 What's going on here? Speaker A 00:20:35 He got. Speaker A 00:20:36 He got to looking at things around him and he bought a bunch of stuff that didn't have anything to do with him sinking or walking on the water. Speaker A 00:20:44 And he bought defeat before he ever sank. Speaker A 00:20:47 He didn't even put up a struggle. Speaker A 00:20:50 He didn't even. Speaker A 00:20:50 And Jesus goes ahead and says, why? Speaker A 00:20:53 He said, why did you doubt? Speaker A 00:20:55 Doubt. Speaker A 00:20:55 Then was the thief. Speaker A 00:20:58 Doubt was the thief Right. Speaker A 00:21:00 Doubt was the thief. Speaker A 00:21:02 What happened when he doubted God didn't have any right to make him stay above that water? Speaker A 00:21:10 And as long as he was exercising faith in the word of God, God was obligated to it. Speaker A 00:21:16 But if he had moved beyond that, then God would have been in an. Speaker A 00:21:20 In an illegal operation forcing his miracle power on that man. Speaker A 00:21:25 No, he can't do it. Speaker A 00:21:27 And the moment that doubt came in, he allowed that doubt into his consciousness, even though it was in there. Speaker A 00:21:33 Through deceit, Satan deceived him with that wind. Speaker A 00:21:36 He got looking at that wind and it didn't even have anything to do with him sinking. Speaker A 00:21:40 But he got looking at it anyway. Speaker A 00:21:41 And when he began to sink, he cried out, save me. Speaker A 00:21:44 Well, thank God Jesus saved him. Speaker A 00:21:46 He met him on the level of his faith. Speaker A 00:21:48 He believed Jesus had saved him, and he did. Speaker A 00:21:50 But that wasn't Jesus best. Speaker A 00:21:52 And did you know it was not even Jesus best for him to walk on the water back to the boat? Speaker A 00:21:57 I used to think it was, but it wasn't Jesus best was for him to go to other side of that sea. Speaker A 00:22:04 That's what he told them to go do. Speaker A 00:22:09 Now you say, how's he going to do that? Speaker A 00:22:10 He got a storm out there. Speaker A 00:22:12 Well, Peter knew who that was that said goat the other side. Speaker A 00:22:18 Jesus had him said, who they? Speaker A 00:22:20 Who am I? Speaker A 00:22:20 And and Peter said, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. Speaker A 00:22:23 And Peter said, the heavenly Father's revealed this to you. Speaker A 00:22:26 He knew who he was, what Jesus wanted them to do. Speaker A 00:22:31 He said, you're of little faith. Speaker A 00:22:33 What he wanted them to do, you see, was release the miracle action of God's word and stand up in the bow of that boat and do what Jesus had to do. Speaker A 00:22:42 Stand up there and say, peace be still. Speaker A 00:22:45 The son of God told me to go to the other side and bless God. Speaker A 00:22:48 I'm going if I have to walk. Speaker A 00:22:49 Now get out of the way. Speaker A 00:22:51 And God would have honored it out of Peter's lips just the same as he did out of Jesus lips. Speaker A 00:22:56 If that's not the truth, then Jesus did not have any right to say, where is your faith and why did you? Speaker A 00:23:04 Doubt would have been unreasonable for him to say that if that was not available for them. Speaker A 00:23:10 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:23:11 Where's the responsibility? Speaker A 00:23:13 Put on the Word, on the Word, on God's word. Speaker A 00:23:20 Now what are you going to do? Speaker A 00:23:22 Just buckle up and fall at the very moment that anything comes down the line that makes it look like that word's not true? Speaker A 00:23:29 No, you better not. Speaker A 00:23:30 Because 2nd Corinthians 10, 4 and 5 says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they're powerful through God. Speaker A 00:23:38 For the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the word of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Speaker A 00:23:53 Peter should have said, I ain't looking at that wind. Speaker A 00:23:56 Just shut his eyes and said, come on, Jesus. Speaker A 00:23:59 I'm not looking at that wind. Speaker A 00:24:01 I'm not going to listen to that wind. Speaker A 00:24:03 I'm not going to look at that water. Speaker A 00:24:04 I'm going on out there. Speaker A 00:24:05 Bless God, I'm going out there. Speaker A 00:24:08 Just kept on going. Speaker A 00:24:10 And I don't care how the wind blew or anything else. Speaker A 00:24:13 He's going to have to sink God, for it sinks me. Speaker A 00:24:18 And he made that sea. Speaker A 00:24:20 And if he had to split it like he did the Red Sea, folks, that's his business. Speaker A 00:24:25 I could care less how he goes about it. Speaker A 00:24:28 But I'm going out there now. Speaker A 00:24:31 He told Moses to go across there. Speaker A 00:24:32 And Moses didn't get scared. Speaker A 00:24:34 All rest of them did. Speaker A 00:24:35 The rest of them said, what are we going to do? Speaker A 00:24:37 Look at that wind on all that water. Speaker A 00:24:40 And they come, them Philistines up behind us. Speaker A 00:24:42 We've had it, and it's showing the world. Speaker A 00:24:44 Moses said, shut up. Speaker A 00:24:47 See the glory of the Lord and split that sea. Speaker A 00:24:50 And across they went. Speaker A 00:24:51 Well, what's the difference? Speaker A 00:24:54 Looks to me like pretty well the same situation as far as God's word is concerned. Speaker A 00:24:58 Why, what's God care? Speaker A 00:25:01 He's proven it more than once. Speaker A 00:25:03 He split the Jordan, that poor old Jordan. Speaker A 00:25:05 Just know which way to run. Speaker A 00:25:08 Every time a prophet come to it, he'd just knock it open and go on across it. Speaker A 00:25:12 You know, that thing didn't know whether to run one way or the other half the time. Speaker A 00:25:16 No wonder it is muddy, you know. Speaker A 00:25:19 Didn't know which way to go. Speaker A 00:25:22 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:25:23 Are you following what I'm saying to you? Speaker A 00:25:25 The key to this thing is this. Speaker A 00:25:26 It's the word of God. Speaker A 00:25:27 Where the area of performance is. Speaker A 00:25:30 That's. Speaker A 00:25:30 That's where the. Speaker A 00:25:31 That's where the making or the breaking happens is by the standing or the not standing on God's eternal wor. Speaker A 00:25:37 Thank God you and I do not have to perform it. Speaker A 00:25:40 All we have to do is receive it, believe it, and act upon it. Speaker A 00:25:43 But it has to be acted upon with. Speaker A 00:25:50 Let me put this away. Speaker A 00:25:51 You'll understand it. Speaker A 00:25:54 You must act on the word of God as quickly as you would the word of your doctor or your lawyer or a very Highly trusted, close, personal friend. Speaker A 00:26:11 You must act on God's word as if every word in this Bible began with your name. Speaker A 00:26:22 You must act on his word as quickly as you would the word of your very family. Speaker A 00:26:31 Now then, how do you release the miracle action in the Word of God? Speaker A 00:26:39 Let's take this thing apart. Speaker A 00:26:41 Now, we have learned that God releases his faith with his words. Speaker A 00:26:48 We have also learned that we were born again by the Word of God. Speaker A 00:26:56 If you will listen to me for a moment, I'll show you something from the Word of God that most people have never ever thought of. Speaker A 00:27:03 And it'll do you some good. Speaker A 00:27:04 This will feed your heart. Speaker A 00:27:05 If you listen to me and if you. Speaker A 00:27:07 This has never happened to you, it can happen to you before this service is over with. Speaker A 00:27:11 You'll give God a chance in your life. Speaker A 00:27:15 The Bible said we are born again, not of corruptible but incorruptible seed. Speaker A 00:27:26 Seed. Speaker A 00:27:27 That seed, it says, is the Word of God which lives and abides forever. Speaker A 00:27:33 The Word is a living seed. Speaker A 00:27:38 If you could get me out of this body. Speaker A 00:27:46 This body is not me. Speaker A 00:27:50 This is what I ride in. Speaker A 00:27:54 This is a physical carriage that gives me the authority and the ability to operate in the physical five sense world. Speaker A 00:28:05 Without this body, I'd have a hard time contacting this because this is a physical thing. Speaker A 00:28:10 You see, it's just as difficult to touch something physical with your spirit as it is to touch something spiritual with your body. Speaker A 00:28:22 Now, we've tried that a whole lot of the time and tried to get a hold of God with our feelings and touch God with our feelings. Speaker A 00:28:27 We've gone through all that ridiculous mess but never did get very far. Speaker A 00:28:31 And we'd say, oh, we know God's here because we feel Him. Speaker A 00:28:36 We know God's here because he said he wouldn't leave us nor forsake us even to the end of the earth. Speaker A 00:28:41 Now, a lot of times we do feel God, but there are a lot of times he's here when you don't feel Him. Speaker A 00:28:45 When you feel the worst is really when you need him the most. Speaker A 00:28:49 And he's there right then just the same as he was when you felt good and we. Speaker A 00:28:53 We're feeling God. Speaker A 00:28:54 And a lot of times people that are suckers for feelings will believe anything's God if it's got enough squalling and bawling about it. Speaker A 00:29:03 Isn't that true? Speaker A 00:29:04 I know I was a sucker for that for years. Speaker A 00:29:06 And Satan just led me round by the feelings. Speaker A 00:29:09 Oh, this and all that. Speaker A 00:29:11 I did that all the time. Speaker A 00:29:13 Now this Spirit man. Speaker A 00:29:18 The man inside here. Speaker A 00:29:20 If you could get him out and stand him along here where you could see him. Speaker A 00:29:25 He is eternal. Speaker A 00:29:28 This body is not. Speaker A 00:29:34 That man is an eternal man. Speaker A 00:29:36 You are a spirit. Speaker A 00:29:37 You have a soul and you live in a body. Speaker A 00:29:40 You are spirit and soul and body. Speaker A 00:29:45 Now, this spirit man is created in the likeness of God. Speaker A 00:29:54 If the miracle of the new birth has been wrought in that man, if the miracle of the new birth has not been wrought in that man, then his God is still Satan and he'll live eternally. Speaker A 00:30:16 Don't get the idea that that man won't live eternally. Speaker A 00:30:19 He will. Speaker A 00:30:20 But he'll live there in hell under Satan's dominion. Speaker A 00:30:26 He has to be born again. Speaker A 00:30:28 Now, he can be religious, he can look good, be honest and just. Speaker A 00:30:36 Absolutely wouldn't cheat nobody for anything, but not have given Jesus the power of attorney over his life. Speaker A 00:30:49 And he will spend eternally the presence. Speaker A 00:30:53 Spend eternity in the presence of Satan under his authority and jurisdiction. Speaker A 00:31:00 Something's got to happen to him. Speaker A 00:31:02 I told a group of men in a Sunday school class in South Texas one Sunday morning. Speaker A 00:31:07 They made me mad when I got in there. Speaker A 00:31:09 They didn't invite me in there to speak or to preach. Speaker A 00:31:12 Invited me in there to sing. Speaker A 00:31:14 And the only reason they did that was because they got into kind of a political situation where they had to. Speaker A 00:31:21 And they sure didn't want me talking in there. Speaker A 00:31:24 I don't care what your denomination is if it's got over three men in it. Speaker A 00:31:27 You've made mistakes. Speaker A 00:31:29 Every one of them have made mistakes. Speaker A 00:31:31 And the guy that, when I walked in the door that Sunday morning, the guy that met me at the door had a cigar in his mouth. Speaker A 00:31:38 Well, now, that kind of ripped me to start. Speaker A 00:31:41 But, I mean, a grown man ought to have respect enough not to smoke that nasty thing even inside his own house, much less, you know, at church. Speaker A 00:31:50 Oh, and when I walked in the door, they was all sitting back there at a table and about 35, 40 of them sitting back there telling dirty jokes. Speaker A 00:31:58 Well, now they can tell dirty jokes that want to. Speaker A 00:32:00 But I just assumed they didn't pollute me with them. Speaker A 00:32:03 I used to know probably 5,000 of those things. Speaker A 00:32:06 It took a while to get them out of me. Speaker A 00:32:08 And I sure don't want somebody else sneaking them back in there, you know what I mean? Speaker A 00:32:12 And here we are in a men's Sunday school class. Speaker A 00:32:18 Well, boy, no wonder they didn't want me to preach. Speaker A 00:32:24 Somebody been over to meetings we were having, and they knew better than that. Speaker A 00:32:28 And I was. Speaker A 00:32:29 I Boil on the inside of me. Speaker A 00:32:31 I was just boiling. Speaker A 00:32:33 So I got up there and I was going to sing, you know, And I just stopped right in the middle of it. Speaker A 00:32:38 I said, you know what? Speaker A 00:32:39 I want to tell you fellow something. Speaker A 00:32:42 And this guy sitting right down here in front, he. Speaker A 00:32:47 I saw him when he ducked, you know, I thought, well, okay, here goes. Speaker A 00:32:51 I said, I want to tell you guys something. Speaker A 00:32:54 I said, you can go out here and get you an old mule and raise him in the stables with thoroughbreds. Speaker A 00:33:07 You can even clip his ears off, give him a good operation on his ears and feed him all the food that you feed a thoroughbred and give him all the same training that you give every one of these thoroughbred racehorses. Speaker A 00:33:26 And you can. Speaker A 00:33:28 And I said, you can do it, too. Speaker A 00:33:29 Some of you guys know you can do it. Speaker A 00:33:31 You can keep that old mule and feed him right, and rub him enough times during the day, and his coat will look just as good as any thoroughbred racehorse in that whole stable. Speaker A 00:33:41 He'll shine just as pretty, and you just rub on him. Speaker A 00:33:46 But when you get that jackass at the starting gate, he's still a mule, and there ain't no way to get a racehorse out of him. Speaker A 00:33:55 And all these guys are sitting there looking at, what am I doing talking about mules and racehorses in a Sunday school class. Speaker A 00:34:02 Well, I had to talk to them on their level. Speaker A 00:34:05 And I said, there's not any way in this world that you can make a racehorse out of that mule or a hunting dog out of a hog without getting on the inside of the mule. Speaker A 00:34:22 You got to get on the inside. Speaker A 00:34:24 The fact you're going to have to get that. Speaker A 00:34:26 You're going to have to get that mule reborn if you're ever going to make a racehorse out of it. Speaker A 00:34:31 And I said, if some of you fellows would let you go out and make a racehorse out of some of you mules here this morning, if you just allow God to have you reborn on the inside. Speaker A 00:34:43 Now, discipline and religion affects a man on the outside. Speaker A 00:34:46 But God goes into the heart of a man, into that inner man, and does a miracle in there. Speaker A 00:34:53 And the seed to that miracle, the seed to that recreation, or if you allow me to use this language so to be clear to you, the sperm to that new birth is the miracle word of the living God. Speaker A 00:35:08 And that seed, when it's planted inside that spirit man, the faith of God explodes in there by grace are you saved and that not of yourselves. Speaker A 00:35:24 It is by faith, and it is the gift of God. Speaker A 00:35:28 And what happens when that seed goes in there. Speaker A 00:35:31 That man receives that and makes Jesus the Lord of his life. Speaker A 00:35:35 That word of God filled with God's faith, the integrity of his word, when that man receive it explodes in his spirit and causes that man to be reborn. Speaker A 00:35:47 That old one is gone. Speaker A 00:35:48 The Bible said that old things passed away and all things have become new. Speaker A 00:35:53 And all things are of God in there. Speaker A 00:35:57 And that faith that was released in there in God's words. Speaker A 00:36:03 Now listen, that faith that was released in that man that caused that miracle never leaves. Speaker A 00:36:13 It is the faith of God. Speaker A 00:36:17 And from that moment on, God has given you that faith with which to please him and receive whatever you need from the kingdom of heaven according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Speaker A 00:36:34 That faith is in there. Speaker A 00:36:36 It is in there. Speaker A 00:36:38 It's in you. Speaker A 00:36:40 It was released by the word of God the very first time you ever believed. Speaker A 00:36:45 And it can be developed, stretched and used. Speaker A 00:36:49 And the Bible says that Jesus is not only the author, but he is the finisher or the developer of our faith. Speaker A 00:36:58 Now this spirit man, this spirit man in the likeness of God has a will, has a mind, has emotions. Speaker A 00:37:15 He has that faith in him. Speaker A 00:37:21 Jesus said, you will be justified by your words. Speaker A 00:37:25 You will be condemned by your words. Speaker A 00:37:30 He has the same now and under his Lord and master, Jesus. Speaker A 00:37:35 He has the same privileges of God of filling his own words with this faith and releasing them with the same authority and the same over watching, performing eye that God has over his own words. Speaker A 00:37:57 Now another one of his sons has spoken and said, peace be still. Speaker A 00:38:01 And the wind and the storm ceased. Speaker A 00:38:04 But the problem's been with most of them all they've been doing talking bad about one another. Speaker A 00:38:09 Jesus said, whosoever shall say unto that mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea? Speaker A 00:38:17 Who did he say could do that? Speaker A 00:38:18 Whosoever, whosoever would say unto that mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt, but believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, that man shall have whatsoever he saith. Speaker A 00:38:34 Look at the kinship to God here. Speaker A 00:38:37 As you put his words inside, you fill your mouth with his words and release them. Speaker A 00:38:46 Then you release the miracle action of God's word. Speaker A 00:38:50 And your words carry the same authority in the ear of the Holy Spirit, in the ear of Jesus, in the ear of the Father. Speaker A 00:38:58 Jesus said, if you will confess me before men, I'll confess you before my Father. Speaker A 00:39:02 He said, if you confess me before men, I'll confess you before the angels of God. Speaker A 00:39:07 And the Bible says that the angels of God Hearken to the word of God. Speaker A 00:39:12 Jesus is my voice in heaven, and thank God you and I are his voice here in the earth. Speaker A 00:39:17 And when we speak according to his word and believe that those things we say will come to pass, then even all of the angels have been charged to see to it that your words don't fall to the ground, but that they come to pass. Speaker A 00:39:33 Jesus said, because of this, whatsoever thing you desire, when you pray, believe you receive it, you will have it praise God. Speaker A 00:39:46 Are you following what I'm saying to you tonight, boy? Speaker A 00:39:49 I'll tell you, if you'll act on it, it'll absolutely turn your life around. Speaker A 00:39:53 It'll turn your body around. Speaker A 00:39:55 The Bible says that men turn horses by a bit in the mouth. Speaker A 00:40:00 And we turn their bodies around by this small thing. Speaker A 00:40:03 And we turn our bodies around by the same small instrument, the tongue. Speaker A 00:40:09 Thank God, he said, great ships are turned by the little rudder at the rear. Speaker A 00:40:18 Lightning this under the tongue in a man's mouth. Speaker A 00:40:22 He said man has by nature, his own nature, tamed all of the animals and everything that's natural. Speaker A 00:40:29 But he said, no man, by his own nature or naturally can tame his tongue. Speaker A 00:40:33 It takes the power of God, you see, to change a man's tongue. Speaker A 00:40:37 But when a man gives his tongue to God, that's the reason some of you have such a horrible time speaking with other tongues. Speaker A 00:40:44 You're reserving that little bad piece of meat for yourself. Speaker A 00:40:51 Little nasty, spiny, little. Speaker A 00:40:55 Little mud, nasty slinging little thing. Speaker A 00:40:58 You say things with your mouth most of you wouldn't even hold in your hand with that nasty little old thing in your mouth. Speaker A 00:41:07 Give it to God and let him fill your mouth with words that are beyond even what your brain can manufacture. Speaker A 00:41:16 Stuff those words with the faith of God and be worth something to God and to your family and to you and the things that are around you. Speaker A 00:41:24 It'll go to come into pass. Speaker A 00:41:25 You know how to get out of the valley. Speaker A 00:41:27 Some of you say, brother Copeland, we're in the Valley. Speaker A 00:41:31 I said that one time. Speaker A 00:41:32 I went up to Tommy Tyson. Speaker A 00:41:34 Some of you know Tommy, most of you do. Speaker A 00:41:35 I mean. Speaker A 00:41:36 And I had it all planned. Speaker A 00:41:43 I was feeling so sorry for me. Speaker A 00:41:45 And I went in there and I just knew, well, you know, that's the way you do in it. Speaker A 00:41:54 That's the way you stand back at the back of the church. Speaker A 00:41:58 You wouldn't do that anywhere else. Speaker A 00:42:03 And I walked up there to Tommy, you know, and I took my very best deacon stance and I said, tommy, I'm in the Valley. Speaker A 00:42:15 And he Smiled. Speaker A 00:42:18 Well, I could have slapped him when he did that. Speaker A 00:42:20 I don't want him smiling. Speaker A 00:42:21 I want him to cry with me. Speaker A 00:42:23 You know, I want him down in here in the valley with me. Speaker A 00:42:26 He said. Speaker A 00:42:27 He smiled. Speaker A 00:42:28 He said, kenny, praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:42:30 That's where the lilies grows in the valley. Speaker A 00:42:32 I don't want to know about no lilies. Speaker A 00:42:36 Don't tell me about them lilies, man. Speaker A 00:42:39 You know, I want somebody to cry with me. Speaker A 00:42:43 I really didn't care whether he got me out of the valley or not. Speaker A 00:42:46 In fact, if you want to know the truth, I was kind of enjoying it. Speaker A 00:42:49 Moping, dragging around, you know. Speaker A 00:42:53 You want me to tell you how to get out of the valley? Speaker A 00:42:58 Take the word of God, put it in your mouth, blow the mountain down, and there won't be any valley that leaves you standing out on top, doesn't it? Speaker A 00:43:16 I mean, ain't even no use in trying to climb that horrible mountain. Speaker A 00:43:21 Just blow it away. Speaker A 00:43:25 It's time for some people to rise up on their inheritance in God. Speaker A 00:43:33 People who believe the New Testament is true. Speaker A 00:43:36 People who will stand before God and say, I cast everything to the wind except your word, and from this moment on, your word is authority and valleys on mountaintops. Speaker A 00:43:47 I could care less. Speaker A 00:43:48 I'm going on with God and I'm taking my place in this mighty army of believers in these final days. Speaker A 00:43:54 And I'm going to do something about what's going on around me with my faith. Speaker A 00:43:59 Praise God. Speaker A 00:44:00 I believe it. Speaker A 00:44:01 There's an army being raised up, in fact, that's in behalf of that enlistment. Speaker A 00:44:07 And the calling of people into that army is the reason that this ministry functions, is to call people to arms with the full armor of God. Speaker A 00:44:19 Hallelujah. Speaker A 00:44:21 In these final hours, releasing the miracle action of God, you do it through the words of your mouth and you do it through your actions. Speaker A 00:44:27 James 1:22 says, don't be a hearer of the word, only be a doer of it. Speaker A 00:44:32 You have to put your actions in correspondence with your words. Speaker A 00:44:37 You can't talk healing and act sick. Speaker A 00:44:40 I remember I heard Brother Robert say this. Speaker A 00:44:43 And so I got myself into kind of a predicament that I didn't know what to do with. Speaker A 00:44:50 And I was going to school up there. Speaker A 00:44:52 And the day I registered in school at oru, I got hired as co pilot on their airplane. Speaker A 00:44:58 Well, I've been flying professionally up until the time that I quit to go into the ministry and go to school. Speaker A 00:45:04 And so they were looking. Speaker A 00:45:06 In fact, the Lord had told him not to hire a Co pilot that because two weeks before he'd said, don't hire anybody because there's a student coming to school that's qualified, that needs the job. Speaker A 00:45:17 And that was me. Speaker A 00:45:19 So he hired me, you see. Speaker A 00:45:21 Well, then I really. Speaker A 00:45:22 I really never thought about it much until I got thinking about, he can't go anywhere without me. Speaker A 00:45:32 Glory. Speaker A 00:45:34 Whoo, doggies. Speaker A 00:45:35 I'm gonna be right on his heels everywhere he goes. Speaker A 00:45:40 Praise God. Speaker A 00:45:42 And we got in the airplane and we went to Memphis, Tennessee, first place we went. Speaker A 00:45:47 Got up there and absolutely like to scared all the hair off my head. Speaker A 00:45:52 I want you to know I walked in that place that afternoon and there was enough people in there that afternoon for the service that night to fill this whole lower floor. Speaker A 00:46:00 And I never saw so many hurting, aching, sick, nasty, stinking, smelly diseases in all of my life. Speaker A 00:46:09 And I thought my. Speaker A 00:46:10 I'd prayed for a couple of headaches about far in this thing I'd ever gone. Speaker A 00:46:17 And I knew God had healed. Speaker A 00:46:19 I just couldn't figure out how to get him to do it. Speaker A 00:46:21 And, man, it scared me so bad. Speaker A 00:46:23 I thought, man, there ain't nothing in there for me. Speaker A 00:46:26 And I started out and I got all the way outside on the sidewalk. Speaker A 00:46:30 I fully intended to go back over to that hotel, get my suitcase and pack it and get on the next transportation out of there to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Speaker A 00:46:39 I didn't care how they got that old airplane home and make any difference to me. Speaker A 00:46:42 I was going home. Speaker A 00:46:44 And I got outside the door out there and the Lord stopped me right cold in my tracks. Speaker A 00:46:49 I mean, he just stopped me right outside the door. Speaker A 00:46:53 I just stood there and couldn't go. Speaker A 00:46:57 I said, let me go. Speaker A 00:47:00 I'm going home. Speaker A 00:47:06 The Lord said, why? Speaker A 00:47:08 I said, you know why? Speaker A 00:47:09 Look at all that in there. Speaker A 00:47:11 I don't have anything to offer those people. Speaker A 00:47:15 Lord said, son, I do. Speaker A 00:47:17 That's why I baptized you in the Holy Ghost. Speaker A 00:47:24 Well, I couldn't go home then. Speaker A 00:47:28 I said, all right, I'm going back in there. Speaker A 00:47:29 But, boy, you're going to have to do it from here on. Speaker A 00:47:32 And he has. Speaker A 00:47:33 I hadn't healed A1, thank God. Speaker A 00:47:37 He done it all, you know. Speaker A 00:47:40 And I went. Speaker A 00:47:41 I went on back in there. Speaker A 00:47:42 And so I was stumbling around in there, you know, just trying to figure out what to do next. Speaker A 00:47:47 And I. Speaker A 00:47:49 On this particular meeting, the Lord just kindly let me stumble, you know, I just kind of looked. Speaker A 00:47:54 And the next meeting we went on wasn't any different. Speaker A 00:47:57 And I got in there and I hadn't been there an hour because after I got through flying the airplane, you know, that's kind of all there was for me to do. Speaker A 00:48:06 And one of the guys came over there and said, brother Copeland, you come this way, and caught me. Speaker A 00:48:11 But I didn't know where we're going. Speaker A 00:48:12 I didn't, you know, I started and we got around over back behind the. Speaker A 00:48:16 The auditorium like this. Speaker A 00:48:18 They had a great big old room back in the back there. Speaker A 00:48:22 And they had about 200 people in there. Speaker A 00:48:25 And you thought those others was bad. Speaker A 00:48:28 You oughta seen these. Speaker A 00:48:31 This is what they call the invalid room. Speaker A 00:48:34 Most people don't even know it exists. Speaker A 00:48:36 I never saw nothing like that in all my life. Speaker A 00:48:38 It was terminal cases of cancer and everything else you could think of in there. Speaker A 00:48:44 People that couldn't manipulate the lines and so forth out front. Speaker A 00:48:48 And he's taking me in there. Speaker A 00:48:50 And we got in there and he stood me here and he said, now, when Brother Roberts gets through preaching, the first thing he'll do, he'll come out the back and come in here and lay hands on all these people. Speaker A 00:49:03 While he's doing that, Brother Deweese is out in the front preparing the people and getting ready for him to pray for people out there. Speaker A 00:49:11 But he'll come in here and pray for these people first. Speaker A 00:49:14 And you'll have about five minutes at the most between the time that he gets through preaching and the time he gets in here. Speaker A 00:49:23 And what we want you to do is to prepare these people to have hands laid on them and instruct them and get them ready to be healed. Speaker A 00:49:32 Well, there was a woman sitting over there on a couch. Speaker A 00:49:35 Looked like she weighed about 65, 70 pounds. Speaker A 00:49:37 I found out later she weighed 75 pounds. Speaker A 00:49:40 Terminal cancer. Speaker A 00:49:41 So far gone that when we went over to pray for her, she couldn't even raise up on her side. Speaker A 00:49:48 She didn't have that much strength left in her. Speaker A 00:49:50 And I stood there just like this. Speaker A 00:49:52 I what in the world am I going to do in here? Speaker A 00:49:57 And I remembered what the Lord said. Speaker A 00:49:59 And I had heard Brother Roberts tell some other people this. Speaker A 00:50:02 I heard him say, now the faith of God's working in you because you've heard the Word. Speaker A 00:50:08 And if you can't do anything but move your little finger, do it in faith, and God then will take it from there. Speaker A 00:50:21 But you need to do something with your faith. Speaker A 00:50:25 You need to put your actions in correspondence with what you've heard and what you've believed. Speaker A 00:50:31 And that's all I could think of. Speaker A 00:50:34 So I got up there that night, just bold as I knew how. Speaker A 00:50:38 And I told them to wiggle their little fingers. Speaker A 00:50:41 That's all I knew. Speaker A 00:50:45 And I told him, I said, now, you've heard Brother Roberts preach the word of God and Jesus is here to heal you. Speaker A 00:50:50 And I said, you need to put your action to work. Speaker A 00:50:53 If you can't do anything but just wiggle your little finger, then you do that. Speaker A 00:50:58 And I'd done my job, you know, And I stood back over there and stood there, and Brother Roberts walked in the door, and I was just as pleased I'd done what I was told to do. Speaker A 00:51:12 He. Speaker A 00:51:13 He reached over there and got me by the coat like this. Speaker A 00:51:18 He didn't even know my name. Speaker A 00:51:20 Had to be God. Speaker A 00:51:23 Reached over there and got me with a coat like that. Speaker A 00:51:25 And he said, now listen, you're going to do the praying? Speaker A 00:51:32 He said. Speaker A 00:51:33 That's what he said. Speaker A 00:51:34 And I could have. Speaker A 00:51:35 Oh, if you'd have let me gone, I just. Speaker A 00:51:37 I wouldn't have done it. Speaker A 00:51:38 I never had anything scare me dead. Speaker A 00:51:41 Oh, I never wanted to go home. Speaker A 00:51:42 But I thought, what. Speaker A 00:51:43 How'd I get into this? Speaker A 00:51:48 I'd have been glad. Speaker A 00:51:49 Gone back to that math class right then he said, you lay your hands on them and you prayed. Speaker A 00:51:55 And he said, don't be scared of making mistakes, because I'm going to be right beside you and I'm going to lay my hands on people with you. Speaker A 00:52:01 And if you make a mistake, I'll correct you. Speaker A 00:52:04 And the first one we prayed for was that woman with that cancer walked over there and I laid hands on her. Speaker A 00:52:12 I don't remember what kind of little old Mickey Mouse prayer I prayed, but I had told her to move her finger. Speaker A 00:52:23 And God hit that woman with his power up off of that bed. Speaker A 00:52:28 She came and started praising God, standing right there on her feet, healed of that thing. Speaker A 00:52:38 Oh, I tell you people, her healing wasn't half what mine was. Speaker A 00:52:49 I saw a young girl one night in Jacksonville, Florida. Speaker A 00:52:53 Jacksonville? Speaker A 00:52:54 No, Tallahassee. Speaker A 00:52:57 Strapped to a board, paralyzed from her chin down. Speaker A 00:53:02 In fact, her head was paralyzed, her neck was paralyzed like this. Speaker A 00:53:05 She was not able to move like this. Speaker A 00:53:08 And we were in the tent in Florida, and we had a separate tent, which was the prayer tent for the. Speaker A 00:53:14 The invid tent. Speaker A 00:53:15 See, and that's where we were. Speaker A 00:53:16 She was strapped to that board, and they had unstrapped her. Speaker A 00:53:19 And she was laying at about a 45 degree angle like this, in front of front of her wheelchair, propped up on that thing like this. Speaker A 00:53:25 And she could just barely move her eyes. Speaker A 00:53:28 And I had told them the same thing, that to put their actions to work on what they had heard, put their actions to corresponding. Speaker A 00:53:36 Do something in faith, get into motion, act on the word of God. Speaker A 00:53:43 And she was batting her eyes and we walked over there to pray for her. Speaker A 00:53:49 I was on one side there. Speaker A 00:53:50 I did this from then on. Speaker A 00:53:51 Then it was my job to lay hands on everybody in those invalid. Speaker A 00:53:55 Brother Roberts. Speaker A 00:53:55 From then the rest of the time I was with the team and we were on one, he was on one side and I was on the other. Speaker A 00:54:01 And I reached up here to touch her on the head to pray for her. Speaker A 00:54:04 And my middle finger just barely grazed her forehead and I didn't even get a chance to pray up off that board, she jumped. Speaker A 00:54:13 She started out underneath the tent on that side and her mother was right in behind her. Speaker A 00:54:18 And she went around, she's a 14 year old girl, she went around that tent looking at her mama hollering as loud as she could say, see there mama, I told you I was going to get it. Speaker A 00:54:29 And around the tent she went praising God, no, you'll never be the same. Speaker A 00:54:37 You can't ever be the same after having things like that come out from under the touch of your hand, boy. Speaker A 00:54:46 Sometimes I was taking communion one day and I said, I said, you said, in your word, do this in remembrance of you. Speaker A 00:54:52 How do I remember you? Speaker A 00:54:54 And Jesus said, remember this. Speaker A 00:54:56 And he showed me in my spirit a picture of that girl taking off out from under the tent. Speaker A 00:55:02 Do it in remembrance of that Jesus alive. Speaker A 00:55:07 His word is alive. Speaker A 00:55:08 Just get into action. Speaker A 00:55:10 We release the miracle action of the word not only with our mouths, but with our actions. Speaker A 00:55:16 Don't continue to talk doubt and unbelief and the unrealities of all of this mess that's around you. Speaker A 00:55:25 You folks just don't know what's happening to us if you just got to say that. Speaker A 00:55:30 Put it this way, you guys just don't know what's happening to us. Speaker A 00:55:36 There were two little old boys one time, you know, their mama said, if there's enough gasoline in the car, we're going to Grandma's. Speaker A 00:55:43 And one of them run outside and come back says we can't go, it's half empty. Speaker A 00:55:47 The other come in there and said, mama, get your hat, we're going right now. Speaker A 00:55:50 It's half full. Speaker A 00:55:55 You need the whole attitude of your mind changed to talk and act faith in God. Speaker A 00:56:05 I'd just as soon cuss as to tell you I'm sick. Speaker A 00:56:09 Might say, well, what? Speaker A 00:56:10 What? Speaker A 00:56:11 But what if I am? Speaker A 00:56:13 You come up and tell me to believe with you for healing. Speaker A 00:56:18 And it'll work. Speaker A 00:56:21 You follow me. Speaker A 00:56:22 Lay your hands on me, Brother Copeland. Speaker A 00:56:24 I believe I'm taking the flu. Speaker A 00:56:27 I can lay hands on you, and they'll rub your hair off. Speaker A 00:56:31 It don't do any good. Speaker A 00:56:32 You believe you're taking the flu. Speaker A 00:56:38 You even have your terminology right. Speaker A 00:56:40 You're taking it right, Brother Copeland. Speaker A 00:56:50 Lay your hands on me. Speaker A 00:56:51 I believe I'll be healed and I won't have the flu. Speaker A 00:56:53 Yeah, we can go on that. Speaker A 00:56:56 And then don't walk away from me saying, you know, oh, I don't guess I got anything. Speaker A 00:57:08 No, that's not the way you do it. Speaker A 00:57:13 Ever call for glory to God? Speaker A 00:57:18 Fight that thing. Speaker A 00:57:20 Praise God with the power of the words of your mouth and the actions around you. Speaker A 00:57:26 Praise the Lord. Speaker A 00:57:27 Let's stand on our feet and believe God.
