RE-DEFINING GREATNESS(PART 2)

Let's give Jesus a big hand clab. Good morning everybody. I want to say, thank you so much, Pastor, thank you for your heart, thank you for your love for Jesus. And to you and your wife and the leadership of this church. Thank you. It's always a joy to be here. I honor every man and every woman of God, the Man of God who was when I came in, I was at the office. My goodness, my God. Please can we honor a great man of God, profound, profound, articulate presentation of the world. We honor you, sir. I honor every man and every woman of God here in the name of Jesus. Let's trust God that you would take us higher and bless us in Jesus' name. You are my hiding place. You all always feel my heart with songs of the leaves. Whereever I am have a frame, I will trusted, I will trust. Let a week say in the strain. Of the Lord, I will trusted, I will trust. Let a week say I am strung. When God truly wants to help a man, he shortens the distance between you and your access to light. Most times, believers do not discern interventions. We do not know how God steps in for people, and while sometimes it can be a spectacular manifestation of his power, when God really wants to help a man, his messy creates a shortening of the distance between you from where you are to access the knowledge needed for the next level. And I am profoundly honored to be able to contribute, you know, in this conference. But hearing the things that I've heard, you know from when I arrived, and I can imagine other things that we've heard and other things that will be coming. There's no reason why we should be at the same level. Knowledge is a vehicle. It doesn't lead you where you are. If you really gain access to knowledge, it sustains the power to take you from where you are to the place of prophecy. Prays the name of the Lord pastor encourage us before I came up. But it's important that we are discerning. Not every word is your word. Every word a devies, but not every word is your word. So while you open up your heart to be a defied, you must be discerning. It takes more than listening to receive your word. You listen to be a defied, but you must discern to know that this one is my word. I pray for you in the name of Jesus that for a few minutes we'll be spending to wrap up our discussion. In addition to the glorious truths we heard this morning, may we not miss out on our place in Jesus marvelous name. We pray place you may be seated. Thank you again. Really defining greatness, and this will be a final part for this this morning. We call it par two, just a quick recap on the things we discussed yesterday. We began to establish a few foundations, one being that God is a great God. The Bible attests to the fact that the God we serve himself is greatness. He's a great God. Number two, that we have a destiny of greatness in Christ. Looking at Father Abraham, he said, I will make you great. You will have a great name. And the Bible says, if ye be Christ, then I e Abraham seed and heirs. According to the promise. We have promises of greatness scattered all across scripture. He said, doubts shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. Jesus himself spoke about greatness, particularly in the Synoptic account of Matthew and Luke and Mark. In fact, he took out time to deal with the subject of greatness, and we said that there are five major words that attempts to describe greatness. In your defining greatness, it's important to capture within your understanding five important words. Number one for a recap achievement, number two character, number three impact and contribution, Number four acquisitions or possessions, and then number five influence or spread. It's important that your definition of greatness is within the scope of these parameters. Next, we said that it's important to probe as to why believers should study the subject of greatness when you are on shore, whether it is the will of God, it will affect releasing your faith allelujah. One of the ways to get believers to believe the concept or an idea is to show them from scripture that it is the will of God. Many people dread being outside of the will of God, and that's an accurate understanding. So before we begin to talk about the principles of greatness, it's important for you to settle it for a fact, that you're desiring to be great is not an expression of canality. Away together and I gave us two reasons. Yesterday, if you recall as to why believers should contend for greatness. Number one, I said, greatness is an expression of dominion. Your desire to be great is part of your fulfilling the dominion mandate. You cannot talk about dominion in its entirety and not capture within it the idea of greatness. Number two, that God is glorified in our results. John seventeen one. He lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorified thy son, that thy son may glorify you. It says, let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. John fifteen and verse eight. Here in is our Father glorified. When ye bear much fruit, So shall you be my disciples John fifteen sixteen. You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bear foot and that your fruit allelujah. Galatians one twenty four. And they glorified God in me, and they glorified God in me. So when believers are great, it brings great glory to the name of the Lord. And then we spoke about the contrasts between greatness as we know and greatness in the Kingdom. I told us yesterday that the major difference between greatness in the Kingdom and greatness as unbelievers look at it is a reprioritization, not an omission on but a reprioritization. Are we together of the parameters to line up with the values of the kingdom. So the error sometimes is that when we begin to talk kingdom, sometimes we feel guilty talking about things like acquisitions and possessions, would rather stay with things like character. And in doing so we sincerely omit out the other elements that complete the idea of greatness. And I said, in the Kingdom we do not omit every other aspect. What happens is that there is a reprioritization so that it lines up with the values of the kingdom. All the parameters aforementioned help to describe the scope of greatness, but they are not at the same level of relevance. For an example, in the Kingdom, being a man of character is nobler than contending for influence. A we together, but that does not mean influence is wrong. Prayse the name of the Lord. This is very important, and I talk all us that is impossible to understand kingdom greatness until two very important words are redefined. One of it is the concept of value and wealth. You still remember I told us that nothing in the Kingdom has intrinsic or independent value. The concept of intrinsic value does not exist in the Kingdom. Everything called valuable is derived from its alignments to serving the will of God and the purposes of God. So, outside of the Kingdom, we have precious metals, they are intrinsically valuable. We have people we say they're valuable. But in the Kingdom, everything finds its value with respect to its ability to align with the will of God and serve the purposes of God. Are we together? Yeah? So you don't bring up any quality and independently celebrate it. It is useless except and unless it is able to serve the program of God. Becomes relevant suddenly because that donkey has been able to find its place serving the will of God. Away together an alabasta box that should not be such well, I mean we're talking matters of redemption here. Why should an alabasta box come in? You see, suddenly six just become valuable because the Master has spoken concerning them. Anything finds its value and relevance when it is able to submit itself a rod an ordinary rod, when it becomes the rod of God because of its willingness to serve the program of God, it is considered valuable. That means value for the believer does not depend on the exit or the entry of things. It's a very important orientation. If you depend on the entry or the exit of things to help construct your self worth, you will leave a frustrated life. Hallelujah that believers do not believe they are of worth just because things come in and things go out. Our value intrinsically or foundationally is connected to our relationship. Remember Jesus said, I am the vine. Remember John fifteen, My father is a husbandman. You are the branches. So everything fruitfulness is not because the branches independently have the ability. It says in Him, we live in him, will move in him. We have our been. It is of his fullness we have received praise the name of the Lord. And then number two Purpose, Anything at all finds its value when it is connected to purpose, and I set for the believer, we have a unifying purpose. We may have different assignments, but there is a unifying purpose, and that unifying purpose is to reveal Jesus through our lives and our works, and then to become a blessing to humanity. Genesis chapter twelve and US three. That was the proposition to Father Abraham and his sid He's seen being Christ and in Christ. Now that affects all of us to in the shall all the families of the earth be blessed. So it is revealing Jesus through your life, through your walks away together, and then being a blessing to as many. So that's a very important shift in understanding. I wrapped up yesterday by saying, the greatest measure of greatness is impact through service that is motivated by your love for Jesus and a desire to be a blessing to humanity. I said, greatness in the Kingdom starts with an orientation that redefines value and worth, incorporates purpose, and lays a strong emphasis on service and making a difference. So very quickly I'll be showing you the road map what I call the road map. This will be for part two redefining greatness. I just want us to explore very briefly the principle or the dynamics of greatness. It is true that greatness can happen to anyone. But the first thing I want to establish this morning is that manifesting greatness is not accidental. It's not accidental. I was profoundly blessed with the part of the session that I heard at the office while listening to the Man of God. Very very profound, very profound. Greatness in the Kingdom is not accidental. You don't wish greatness. Desire is wonderful, but is only a starting point, perhaps eighteen one true desire. A man haven't separated himself. It doesn't stop at desire. He seekret and intermed left with wisdom. Allelujah, there is a pathway to greatness Ecclesias. This is ten and verse fifteen says the labor of the foolish, the foolish, she had not been an insult is a description of a kind of person away together, the labor of the foolish, weary at every one of them, because he knows not how to go to the city, not because there is no city. He knows not how to go to the city. Jeremiah sixth and use sixteen says to stand in the way and to ask for the ancient paths. Whearing is the good way, he says. And when you find it, work therein, and you will enter into your sabbath. Prays the name of the Lord, Allelujah. There is a path that leads to glory. There is a path that leads to grace. There is a path that leads to greatness. But there is also a path that leads to failure, leads to defeat, and leads to frustration. The Bible puts it beautifully. It says, there is a way that seemeth right. That's a very instructive statement, cemet right to a man. Then he says, the end thereof And I told you yesterday the end can be thirty years after you start your journey, you realize you've been wasting your time. At least, I still remember mathematics. Thirty times zero is zero. The volume of what is multiplied by zero does not change the outcome. Away together, praise the name of the Lord, and so very quickly a few keys that will just be presented by way of summary, in addition to what we have heard, just to guide and equip us as a roadmap to lead us from where we are to the place of prophecy, May the Lord help us in the name of Jesus. The first key from Scripture as far as manifesting kingdom greatness is concerned, is that you must have a genuine encounter with God. Dan nearly eleven and verse thirty two. The bee pard says, but the people, It didn't say, but everybody, but the people that do know. I like the expression do know. That means no. Indeed, the people that do know not assumed knowledge. The people that do know their God, they shall be strong. Did you know? The Bible never said but the people that do know God Almighty? No, that behind exploits is a connection to spirituality away together. Yes, not to promote evil, but the own believer who knows whatever is done in the dark world, The Bible says, for some reason, they derive strength from their fraternity with dark powers, and then they do exploits. I like the statement do exploits. What do you say, do exploit? There are people who write about exploits, There are people who discuss exploits, But there are people who do exploits. And the secret is that the people who do know for certainty, It says, but I know whom I have believed and I am persuaded that he is able. He's able. Do know their God? Jesus called himself the vine, and he called his father the horsbandman. He said, every branch that abides in me will be a fruit away together. It's impossible to talk about fruitfulness or grace or glory or greatness in this kingdom outside of your connection. Now, let me tell you this, God is not the only entity who can lift. Listen to that fraternity with any spirit can provide some kind of advantage. But you see, he says, thou shall increase my greatness. But with that increase you will comfort me on every side. The opposite of that is that you will be troubled on all sides. With increase will come trouble. There are people who lose their marriages with growth. How you know it is God who is lifting you is that your soul will prosper. To always check that soul part, and that's what say and does not want. But again, with Satan is to cost you to prosper all way. Provided as you rise your soul your walk with God goes down. You can verify who is responsible for your greatness by checking the state of your soul. Your work with God as you rise, Allelujah. The Bible talks about Usiah that he sought God in the days of what's the name of that man again, Zachariah, he says, And as long as he sought the Lord, he says, God made him to prosper. We are made to prosper. We don't just prosper, we are made to prosper. Allelujah. Remember the scripture, First Chronicles, Chapter twenty nine, eleven and twelve. It is within your power to make great. Only God can make a man great. You can plant, you can water. I told you that there are times where you can be at the right place the sea, the right skill fishing, the right tools, the net and the boat, the right timing, the nighttime, and yet you will not catch fish at that point. You need beyond creativity. Only God can bring fish in that net away together, the Bible says. Accept the Lord beaulty house. Still, Bible students, it says, they label in vain, so they were not talking laziness. Yet they label in vain that build it. Except the Lord who watches over the city. The watchmen watch at what in vain? He said, It is vain to wake up early in the morning that sounds like diligence, and then to sleep late at night only to eat the bread of sorrow. But it is only God that can give his beloved sleep. Let me encourage someone here. Never give upon your relationship with Jesus because you are looking for money, or because you are looking for greatness, or whatever it is. No Allelujah, praise the name of the Lord. The health of your spiritual life is the foundation for lasting greatness in this kingdom. The Bible says, in is that chapter fifty one, it talks about verse two. He says, look on too, Abraham your father, and to Sarah your mother, for I called him. Now, let me tell you something about the calling of God. God does not call people to things. He calls people to himself. Then he sends them. When he calls you, it is follow me, not follow it. Follow me. I will make you, then I send you. God never calls people to things. He calls people to himself. Then he sends you to be a witness. Number two. The second key is that you must die to self. John chapter three and verse thirty. It is very strange that the more you are willing to decrease, the more you increase, he said, he must increase what I must decrease. Please, everybody, I want you to lend me your attention for one minute. Please look at this pulpit. How many of you know that with respect to this poopit serving me. This is the part that seems to attract everybody. But it's impossible to put my Bible on all of this and not and ignore this base that is holding it. I don't put my Bible here. I don't put my Bible at the base. I put it right here. I go together. But in carrying the poopit you carry every part of it. This is you. This is Jesus and his program. Somebody learning now, Yes, it says an eye if I be lifted up. Most times we are afraid that when we invest time energy hiding behind the cross to let people see Jesus, it will seem to steal our child. But that's not how it works. When you are determined to die to self, then God can trust you. He can trust you because you're rising becomes his glorification. It's somebody learning now, this is very powerful. Most of the people who rise in the Kingdom, In fact, some of them did not intentionally pursue greatness. They were all about seeing Jesus glorified, and in doing so they found out that in a strange way they were rising. Did the donkey ever want to match upon all of the things? It was not Jesus who matched upon all the leaves and all the clothes, It was the donkey. But the donkey was willing, willing to carry Jesus. And because he was willing to carry Jesus, everywhere Jesus went, the donkey went, and he partook of the honor. Somebody learning now prays the name of the Lord, very profound. I told you yesterday that many years ago, the Lord told me, if you will let men see me, there is nothing I will not give you. It's true. If you will let men see me, you must trust God to die to self. What does that mean? The insach sable appetite for vain glory must be tamed. There is such an insatable appet tied for vain glory. Allelujah. I believe in promotion, I believe in marketing. I believe in all of these principles. But we must be careful, because the whole idea of greatness demands that you must look beyond yourself. You cannot talk greatness when the focus is you. Away together prays the name of the Lord. Death to self. Death to self includes taming and over estimation of oneself. Taming and over estimation of oneself. It's important to feel valuable, but it's important the Bible tells us to it fights high mindedness. It's important for us to know that outside of Jesus we are not much. It's an uncomfortable truth. What is the truth? An obsession for fame and celebration. I always tell people create boundaries as you celebrate things as a personal principle, no matter what God does with my life. Once I pat myself at the back and I say well done, and I just tell Jesus thank you, it's over. No body claps for you twice for doing the same thing. Once you receive the applauds that befits that realm of achievement, that's it. You have to go higher if you still want any applauds. Away together. There are people who are full of stories of yesterday, but there's still an opportunity for today. You are not dead. Alleluya, you are not dead. I like how Paul says it. It says, this one thing I do forgetting the things, not the evil things, not the disappointments, not the pain. Once it is yesterday, forgetting and reaching forth for the things that are before me. He uses a very instructive word, He said, I press, I press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ. You must die to self. When you die to self, the real proof that you have died to self is the ease to release, the ease to give when you have difficulty in giving at God's command. And I'm not talking money, your life, your time, your energy, the proof. Look at this, How many of you believe everyone here has seen a dead body, even if if not come in close proximity. When you lift the hand of a dead body and he refuses, won't you run away? Are we together? One of the proof that that body is dead is that it is. It is one hundred percent malleable. If you want to take it left, there's no resistance. If you want to take it right, there's no resistance. You lift the hand, provided you are holding it, it is up. When you release it, it goes down. You know, that's what it means to be a living sacrifice. It doesn't mean to be a robot away together that you have so aligned your will. This is powerful, very quick. I'm doing a summary number three, the third road Map to a life of true greatness in the Kingdom. Contend for enlightenment and transformation. Contend for enlightenment and transformation. I want to make a very honest submission. Not every kind of knowledge is required for your rising and your shining, and you're becoming great. There's useless knowledge. Knowledge that does not build, does not reveal Jesus, does not profit you, is useless. The world is full of so many things, and you must you must be careful with information management, so that you restrict yourself to truths. Is good to be vast, but you see, you cannot become a master being. Everywhere Allelujah prays the name of the Lord. There are three kinds of knowledge you must pursue. As far as greatness is concerned. The highest level of knowledge a man can pursue is the knowledge of God. John chapter seventeen and verse three. This is life everlasting or eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus, whom thou hast sent. Hallelujah. So the knowledge of God grace and peace be multiplied through the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. That's the highest level of knowledge a man can press. Number two the knowledge of the principles or the mysteries of the Kingdom. The knowledge of the principles of the Kingdom Matthew thirteen and verse eleven. It has been given to you to know. That word there goes beyond awareness. It talks of oneness with the truth given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom. And then the third level of knowledge is expertised in your field of end devil, are you saying that by the time you are academically intelligent, you are just one over three of the kind of knowledge, and in all that of superiority, it's the lowest level of knowledge. Expertise in your field. It's wonderful, but like you'll be learning principles. Only walk when spirits don't fight you. One plus one should be two in principle, but one plus one plus a demonic attack can be minus ninety nine. Did you get what I said now? Huh? The Bible says a great door and an effectual is open before me. There should not the door is already open in principle, he said, But many that means you can stand before an open door, you are disclosed and never enter all through your lifetime. Allelujah the knowledge of God. Sir. You can be an intelligent architect, but not understand, for an example, the law of honor, and you will remain poor, you will remain broken. You may not understand relational skills away together. And in terms of technical competence you have it, but you do not understand the laws of the universe. I like the way it is put in Job thirty eight and verse thirty three NLT NIV yess what it says, knows doubt the ordinances of heaven. That's what King James says. And canst thou establish God's dominion thereof? NLT says, do you know the laws of the universe and can you use it to regulate the earth? Please keep that scripture there. NLT. Do you know the laws of the universe and can you use the laws to regulate the earth? NIV says, do you know the laws of the heavens? And can you establish God's dominion with it upon the earth? Nothing just happens. There are laws as have hazard as life looks, there is a rhythm to it, and you can learn. This is beyond your field of expertise. Allelujah. Let me digress for a minute. I hope you are learning something. Let me digress for a minute and teach you something. There are four elements of a fruitful word ministry. If your word ministry is to be fruitful and to defy the people. This is not a pastor's conference, my apologist, but let me just say it. For the word ministry to defy God's people fully, it must capture four dimensions. Number one, doctrine. For the word ministry to be fruitful, it must capture doctrine comes from the word die dascalia. The Latin word is doctriner. It just means teaching or instructions, but generally it's a body of knowledge that upgrades his students to reflect the competence of his master. Doctrine Number two. The second aspect that must be captured to make the word ministry fruitful is the principles of the kingdom. So Jesus did not just teach doctrines alone. In fact, Jesus taught very little of doctrines. A major part of doctrinal teachings were captured in the epistles away together praise the name of the Lord. So, but Jesus taught us the principles of the Kingdom, beginning from Matthew chapter five, the Beatitudes. How to be able to leave the principles of the Kingdom. It gives the believer in Christ and advantage number three wisdom for living, Wisdom for living, wisdom for living. Here generally talks about universal principles, principles that are not necessarily unique to believer us. It gives you the intelligence to function within the cosmos. Believers must be exposed. That's why he said to be wise as a serpent. Why will Jesus Christ use that statement that you are sheep among wolves? So how do you survive as a sheep among wolves? I've not seen sheep and wolves go together. That means you must learn to wear a government that looks like a wolf. But yes, you are sheep. You see that now. So these are principles that apply particularly to organizations. Otherwise you are going to trained members who are spiritual, but they will be bankrupt. Corporately speaking, they will not be able to build anything because your word ministry does not give them the wisdom for living within the cosmos. And then number four, A profitable teaching ministry must help define for the believer a word compliant worldview, a word compliant worldview. I come from the North, and in Islam, for an example, there is a worldview. There is a way a Muslim sees life, sees the world away together, there is a lens, there is a vista. And believers must help past us. Especially, we must culture believers to be able to look at the world in a certain way, else we are going to be victims. So these four things. Sorry for the digression, but let's go very quickly to what we're discussing. Enlightenment knowledge that translates to superior Listen, listen. The value of knowledge is that it must move past the realm of being an information until it becomes a contributor to building your belief system. Knowledge was never supposed to stop at the realm of information. It starts as an information and brings enlightenment, but it must become a stronghold in your mind where it has become a belief system away together that influences you. Knowledge is truly profitable when wisdom comes out of it. You see, wisdom is the child that comes out of knowledge. Knowledge is the raw material for wisdom. Without an awareness, you cannot even act on what you know away together Now, so knowledge should not stop at knowledge. It can start as an information. Then it must be able to hold onto your belief system, and then grace is imparted upon you. Wisdom acting upon it now produces prays the name of the Lord. Contend for knowledge. I heard pastor say that when he was teaching, I mean he presented it so beautifully. Most believers do not contend for knowledge. There is no dominion in ignorance. Greatness and ignorance don't go together. Allelujah, praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah, chapter sixy and verse one. It says, arise, shine, not because you are tired of staying our rise shine for your light. Yes, how amplified puts it a rise from the depression and the prostration that circumstances have kept you. It says, rise to a new light. You rise at the instance of light. You rise at the instance of light, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is reason upon you. Then it says, for darkness, a man shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people. But upon you, the glory of the Lord shall arise. Here's what it says. Gentiles shall come not to you, to your light, and then their kings will not come to your light. They will come to the brightness of your rising. Please go for knowledge, Go for knowledge. Knowledge is not a gift, it says, by the truth, you bite with meekness, you bite with humility, you bite with adaptation, you bite with honor, prays the name of the Lord. Transformation. Maintaining contending for a superior belief system is your official contribution to your failing in life or your succeeding. Your belief system is a doorway in the realm of the spirit. It can work in partnership with the Holy ghost towards your becoming, or partnership with demon spirits towards your destruction. Every time you see a negative problem in your life, let me tell you how you contributed. Your official contribution was donating your beliefs allelujah. If it failed, you participated. If it succeeded, even if it's by God, He came through the channel of your belief system. It says, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Jesus did not just win because he was the son of God. He paid the price to build a certain kind of orientation. Is someone learning now a loser's mentality cannot produce a victor's destiny, No, sir, there is such a thing as a loser's mentality. It cannot produce a victor's destiny. The Bible says, they limited God in the wilderness. It's a profound statement. How does a man limit and unlimited God? That the way they spoke, which was a reflection of the content of their heart, that can God make a table in the wilderness? They limited God? Contending for belief systems, you cannot be great beyond your mentality. You cannot be great beyond your orientation. And I'm praying for someone in the name of Jesus, the Son of the Living God, that all through this conference, let there be a washing by the word of God, that every faulty belief system you have sustained, that marriage between you and a faulty belief system, we bring it to end. In the name of Jesus. Every dimension of greatness in the Kingdom has a certain kind of belief system that can host it. Let me tell you this, this is where science psychology, and religion all agree that your life will be a messless reflection of the truths consistent with your belief. It is true. Look at me, please. When you look at a mirror and you find a link on your face, do you check your hand through the mirror to remove it? What do you do? You remove the one there, and the one in the mirror responds, unfortunately, that real one is your mind. Thing is built twice. If you ever hold anything that was not held by your mind, you will lose it. But you ever lose anything that was held by your mind, it's like a robber ring. It returns back. I assure you away together. So the Bible says in Genesis eleven that Nimrod Kush gathered the people together, and the first thing he did was to sell them an idea. Go to come, let us build a city. Who stopped? Now believe the theological debate whether I was a real city or it was an imaginary city, that's that's not as important as the fact that she kept proposing an idea, kept proposing an idea. Away together, and the Bible says, eventually they believed it, and then they had not started. But when you read verse four, the Bible says. Verse five, please, the Bible says, the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the men had builded. They had not started it, and yet from what God was seeing, he was finished. Look at God's verdict in verse six, verse six. If you're a Christian, the Lord said, the people is one, and they all have one language, and the day begin to do. They're about to start it physically, but because of their belief system, it was already built. Everything is built twice. When you build it here, it cannot fail. I'm telling you this is not some scientology. It's a truth. Allelujah. So you dream with God, you believe with God. That's why he calls people and says, son of man, what sees now? You don't see with your eyes. You see through your eyes. That's why your eyes can be alive, and yet you are not seeing. I went together blind. Bartimios did not say, give me eyes. He said that I may receive my sight. Sight is a union of a functional eyes and light. A functional eye and light, that's what brings sight. Not a functional eye alone. Put off this life. Nothing is wrong with your eyes, but you'll not see. So it is a union between a functional eye and the presence of light that equals sight. Allelujah. Belief system pay the price.
