Israel in the End Times Part 6 Kathryn Kuhlman Ezekiel 36 into 37

Beloved, always remember one thing. The word of Israel's God cannot be broken. The word of God cannot be broken. You can stake your very life. on God's word. Well, sir, in our last heart -to -heart talk regarding world condition and Israel's place in the world today, I left you with the reading of a portion of the word of God as found in the 36th chapter of Ezekiel. I will read the twenty -ninth verse and then continue without referring to anything that i have said previously i will call for the corn and will increase it and lay no famine upon you he is talking about israel now and remember something That which I am giving you was prophesied 1400 years before Christ was born in Bethlehem. If you want to know something that is convincing, that is inspiring, awe -inspiring, and that is the fact that that which was prophesied by the Holy Spirit More than 1400 years before Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. And the thing that was fulfilled. Remember something. This is prophecy fulfilled in our generation. It is now a matter of history. And yet it was prophesied. More than 1400 years before. the birth of Christ. I will call for the corn and will increase it and lay no famine upon you. This is God's promise, his covenant to Israel, to Abraham and Abraham's seed. I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field. I will also cause you to dwell in the cities and the wastes shall be builded. and the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden, and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced and are inhabited. So shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men. And they shall know that I am the Lord. I had before me a paper that I have kept for years. It's dated Wednesday, April the 13th, 1949. And I shall never forget the thrill when I read it. It's just the daily newspaper. That's all. And yet little did the millions of people who read it in their everyday reading of the newspaper realized what a wonderful fulfillment of Bible prophecy this one page really was. April the 13th, 1949. It's a declaration that comes from the president of Israel. I read only the first paragraph. For many years, American Jews have played a prominent part in laying the foundation of the new life that is springing up in our ancient land, Israel. We have now obtained the status of national independence. We are now about to enter a new phase. What new phase? The very thing that was prophesied by the Holy Spirit through Ezekiel more than 1400 years before the birth of Christ. The word of Israel's God can never be broken. Now, pass, if you will, please, to the 37th chapter of Ezekiel. Open your own Bible. It will mean so much more to you. Instead of just having me read it and listening to me, open your own Bible. Begin the practice of reading your Bible. Mark it like I do mine. And here in the 37th chapter of Ezekiel, we have Ezekiel's vision of the Valley of Dry Bones. This, my friend, is a vision of the national restoration of Israel. Ezekiel's vision of the Valley of Dry Bones. It's a strange vision. which God gave to the prophet. The Holy Spirit himself was the author of it. And in detail, and this is what the most remarkable thing is so far as I'm concerned, the detail in which the Holy Spirit describes the national restoration of Israel. Oh, it's dramatic. It's intensely dramatic. Don't tell me that you read the Word of God and you aren't thrilled and you aren't moved by it. This is one of the most dramatic scenes in the entire Word of God. And it must have made a great impression upon the prophet. Listen to the story. Verses 1 and 2. The 37th chapter of Ezekiel. The hand of the Lord was upon me and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones and caused me to pass by them round about. And behold, there were very many in the open valley and lo! They were very dry. Get this picture. As Ezekiel looked upon this valley, filled with the bones of human skeletons, dry, bleached, it was horrible desolation. Oh, look at the description. The desolation was horrible. And it must have made... an indelible impression upon the mind of Ezekiel. And as Ezekiel was looking up on this valley of dry bones, just bones, no flesh upon the bones, just bleached bones, that's all, no sign of flesh. And as he gazed, Upon this valley of dry bones, human skeletons, God spoke to the prophet. And he asked a question. Can these bones live? These human skeletons, bleached and dry, can these bones live? And I supposed if Ezekiel had been pressed for an answer, he would have said hopelessly, no. How can they live? It's impossible. Not even a miracle could put flesh on these bones now. They're bleached. They're dry. Humanly speaking, there wasn't the slightest possibility of bringing life. to this dismal sea. But instead of answering in haste, Ezekiel gave these words as his answer, and it was a wise one. And he said, O Lord God, thou knowest. Was that a wise one? Of himself, he would have said, no. But he took God into consideration. That's the way it is with every miracle. The man, you know, who doesn't take God into consideration will say, no, it's impossible. Scientifically, no, it cannot be. Reason says, no, it cannot be. It is impossible. It's always like that in the mind of a man who doesn't take God into consideration. But Ezekiel, taking God into consideration, when the thing looked absolutely hopeless, gave a very wise answer, and he said, oh, Lord God. Thou knowest. And God knew. And Ezekiel knew that God had a great plan. He didn't know what God intended to do. Ezekiel, I do not believe, knew at the moment what he was actually seeing or God's plan in it all. Mm -hmm. Ye shall live. Oh, when God speaks those words. The same God who said to Abraham, I will, also gave these three important words, ye shall live. Watch it. And I'm reading the word of God. Prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones, Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live. I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live. And ye shall know that... I am the Lord. Oh, what a prophecy. What a prophecy. And Ezekiel believed the word of the Lord. He believed. And God knew that Ezekiel would believe. That's the reason he chose him in the first place. That was the reason the Holy Spirit used the vessel of Ezekiel. God knows exactly. whom he can trust. And Ezekiel was obedient. God said, prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. And Ezekiel obeyed God and he did exactly that. And what happened? A miracle was wrought. And that miracle that Ezekiel saw take place in the Spirit. And remember, all of this was done in the Spirit. It was the word of prophecy given centuries ago. What Ezekiel saw take place in the Spirit more than 1 ,400 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, you and I saw fulfilled in our generation. That's exactly what the president of Israel was saying in his proclamation of April the 13th, 1949, when he said we have now obtained the status of national independence. We are now about to enter a new phase. Israel had become a nation. had become a nation recognized by every nation in the world except Russia. Ezekiel, in the spirit, was obedient to God when God said unto him, prophesy upon these bones and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. And a miracle was wrought, and this is what he saw in the spirit. and the bones came together. Mm -hmm. What was the president of Israel saying? The bones have come together. And so I prophesied as I was commanded, Ezekiel said. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. and when i beheld lo the sinews and the flesh came upon them and the skin covered them above but there was no breath in them skin came upon the bones these parched dry bones he saw skin come upon the bones but only skin there was no breath in them That's exactly where Israel is today, right now. Flesh upon the bones, they are again in their land, Israel, even as God promised. But remember, the breath, the power of the Holy Spirit is not yet in them. The Spirit, the living God, that new birth experience has not yet come within them. The day is coming. The greatest revival the world has ever known is going to come to Israel, the Jew, when they as a whole, as one, will accept the Christ as their true Messiah. Here they are today. There's been a great shaking. And the bones have come together, bone to bone. Sinu and flesh have come upon them. Skin covers them. But there is no breath. The thing that gives life, spiritual life, they have not. yet as a nation. They will, but not yet have they accepted the Christ as the true Messiah. And the prophet looked out upon a valley full of dead bodies of human beings. Don't stop now. Something happened. And breath came into them. It's coming. this is yet future and breath came into them let's continue now that ninth and tenth verses and i'm reading from the 37th chapter of ezekiel thus saith the lord god come Come from the four winds, O breath, breathe upon these slain that they may live. And so I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and they stood up upon their feet, and exceeding lay great army. Oh, what a sight to behold. Don't you ever underestimate the power of Israel? because God is with them, and God will protect them, and God is on their side. What a sight to behold! Oh, how the prophet must have wondered at the meaning of so strange a miracle. But God did not leave him in doubt. He gave to Ezekiel the interpretation of the vision. Lest there should be any doubt in your mind. The 11th verse. Watch. These bones are the whole house of Israel. Why haven't we seen it all these years? My friend, why haven't you seen it? Why haven't our statesmen seen it? Why have we passed over this important part of the word of God? Lest there should be any doubt, the Lord said, These bones are the whole house of Israel.
