Israel in the End Times Part 4 Kathryn Kuhlman

Again today, a most serious heart -to -heart talk. And I mean just exactly that. You and I are a part of the fulfilling of Bible prophecy. We are living in an hour when it's almost total darkness. I could not sit here and give you one ray of hope for the future if it were not for our simple faith in God and the things of God. It's getting dark. We're nearing that midnight hour. And God knows that I am not a pessimist. You know it. But my friend, why all this nervous tension? Why are men's hearts failing them, literally failing them? For fear. Tension. It's there. This is a generation of people who are so frustrated, so insecure. Volumes have been written. Millions of words have been spoken. The propaganda that's going out on our television every hour of every day. The propaganda that's spewing forth from leaders of our nation, trying to bolster up security. And yet, in spite of these promises of security, there never was a people as insecure. As the man, the woman who walks the streets today. The only person who has real security in this hour is that one who is anchored in Christ Jesus. Who has security in the one who will keep his word, his promise, his covenant to the crossing of every... tea, the dotting of every eye. No wonder Jesus said, heaven and earth will pass away, but my word, my promise, my covenant will never pass away. Well, sir, all right. Again, as we continue our heart -to -heart talk with the signs of the times, the Jew in Bible prophecy. That which I'm talking about is a living, vital part of the front pages of your newspaper. It's like that. And yet, I'm going to read to you from the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy. And please, follow me in the reading of your own Bible. That Bible has been tucked away. The only times it's ever brought out is when you have been doing your spring house cleaning. When you dust the books in your library, when you take the books off of the bookshelves and you do a little dusting and a little cleaning and then you put the Bible right back where it was and it remains there until you clean house again, take it out, start reading it. It's the most up -to -date book there is today. I promise you that. And it's absolutely reliable. You can depend on it. You can stake your life on it. It is the very word of God. And he'll keep it. All right? Deuteronomy. Somebody said, my goodness, a life... That's the Old Testament. Don't you know that we're living in a scientific age? Don't... Do you know, Ms. Kuhlman, that's all outdated, outmoded? Where have you been when we've been told that we're living in the most scientific day, when we're striving for supremacy in outer space, and you tell us to get out the Bible and turn to the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy? I'll tell you. Deuteronomy. is as up to date as our space program. I read, beginning with the 64th verse, And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other. And there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wooden stone. And among these nations, Shall to thy find no ease. Neither shall the sole of thy feet have rest. The wondering Jew. You can't take issue with it. That's exactly what he's been for generations. The wondering Jew. Even as God said he would be. Thou shalt find no ease. Neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest. But the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart and feeling of eyes and sorrow of mind. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee. Oh, sure. Hitler tried to destroy the Jews. Did he succeed? Not on your life. And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee. And thou shalt fear day and night. and shalt have none assurance of thy life. In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even, and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning. For the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. You know something? That was written by the Holy Spirit through Moses more than 1400 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Consider that now. Consider something that is the most fantastic thing conceivable. The words that I have just given you were written by the Holy Spirit through Moses more than 14... 1 ,300 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. It's a picture of the Jews, the wandering Jew. No country, no home, no rest, no assurance of life. A trembling heart, the fear of death. A picture of God's leading, God's chastisement. But never did he lift his hand. Never did he change his mind regarding the I wills, the covenant, the promise that he made to Abraham and Abraham's seed. Sure, he sent chastisement upon Israel. He had to. For Israel had failed God in their love for him, had failed to serve him, had failed to accept his only begotten son as the true Messiah. And oh, let me pause just a minute. What a lesson is here for you and for me and for those who spurn the offer of God's mercy through Jesus Christ. My friend, if you're listening to me and you have spurned, Salvation. You have spurned the love of Jesus. You've turned your back on that new birth experience. You've laughed. You've called it old -fashioned. Beloved. What a lesson for those who spurn the offer of God's mercy through... Jesus, how much sorer punishment will be meted out to those who consistently reject his salvation, who reject the pardons of his only begotten son. No person can do it and get by with it. Sooner or later there has got to be a judgment and there will be a judgment. for that individual who spurns the mercy of God, who rejects the pardon through Jesus Christ the Son. It may not be today, tomorrow, 10 years, 20 years, but God will deal with it sooner or later, even as he dealt with the Jews as a nation. Remember, God's wrath is as perfect as His love. And one thing He will not tolerate, and that's sin. All right? Turning again to the Word of God. And I want you, please, now, to open your Bible to the 37th chapter of Ezekiel. We're going to begin something that is most interesting. I want you to read with me in your own Bible. Sure, I enjoy reading my Bible, but remember, your Bible. Mark it. Make it a very part of your life. Because we're going to begin this study regarding Israel's restoration as promised by God. Hath God cast away his people? It's in the form of a question. And the words which I have just given you are from Ezekiel. Hath God cast away his people? It is a very dark, a very dark picture in our minds. He wants to stop right there. And many people have stopped right there. there when it has come to Israel. But we still have God's promise when he said to Abraham, I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee, an everlasting covenant. I will give unto thee, to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger. all the land of Canaan an everlasting covenant, and it shall be an everlasting possession unto you. Egypt will never have it. Russia will never have it. Red China will never get it. Their allies will never have it as their possession. Never. This is an everlasting covenant. The land of Canaan will be an everlasting possession unto you. And I will be your God forever and ever and ever. But here comes... Ezekiel, human, he asks a question. Hath God cast away his people? He saw them wondering from apostasy after apostasy. Centuries, beloved, literally centuries after Ezekiel lived, the apostle Paul raised the question. And he asks the question. It's there. It's in Romans, the 11th chapter, the first verse. He asks the same question. Hath God cast away his people? And then under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit who has perfect knowledge, the Holy Spirit who knows the mind of God, answered saying, God hath not. Cast away his people, which he foreknew. Oh, isn't that something? You know, let's pause a minute. Sometimes, with God's dealing in our own individual lives, sometimes you know you're his child. You love him. You know you love him. You know you've been born again. But sometimes, have you looked up in the midnight hour? Have you felt as though God has forsaken you? Have you felt as though God had turned a deafened ear unto you? Your prayers weren't being answered? He seems so far away. Have you ever asked the question, have... God forsaken me. Be careful when you judge another and you see trials and sufferings coming into the life of one of God's children. Don't you dare judge that one and make a definite statement and say, half God forsaken that one. Has the blessing of God been lifted from that one? Is that one no longer in his care and his keeping? Generations through the centuries could have turned to the Jew and said, God will never keep his covenant with the Jew, never. The Holy Spirit answered Paul's question, answered the question of Ezekiel when they asked, Hath God cast away his people? And the Holy Spirit answered, God hath not cast away his people, which he foreknew. Even though they're scattered among all the nations of the world, Jehovah God hath not. forsaken his chosen people, Israel. He has a future for them. A glorious future. He made a promise. He made a covenant. And he'll keep it. And as an individual, remember something. This should be the most encouraging thing in the world, whether you're Jew or Gentile. Whoever you are, this should be the most encouraging thing to you and to me, knowing that God will keep his promise. Open the word of God. A God who cannot lie will keep it. He has promised. Just this past week, I received a letter from a man. who is the only nurse, registered nurse, among the lepers in Liberia. He had written to me, asking me to pray for his health. He's in charge of over three... hundred lepers in this colony of lepers. Think of it. And he wrote to me and asked me to pray that God will heal him of malaria. He said sometimes it gets so dark and sometimes I feel so alone. Then he added, we have his promise. I wept when I read those words. Here's a man in Liberia, Africa, who's ministering to the lepers over there. What chance does he have? For encouragement. There isn't a soul over there to encourage him. All on earth that he has for encouragement. The only hope that he has is God's promise. And he's standing on it. He believes it. He holds to it. He grasps it. He makes the promise of God a very part of his life. For he has nothing else. Oh, beloved, you and I dare, we can stand on the very promise of God for a God who cannot lie. He has not the ability to lie. It is not in his nature to lie. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away, Jesus said. He'll keep it, whether it's to a Jew or a Gentile. Mm -hmm. Yeah. All right. Now, we're going to give you some of the promises that are found in the 36th chapter of Ezekiel. We are beginning something that's most interesting. Begin, if you will, please, with the 22nd verse. That's the 36th chapter of Ezekiel. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land. They have been the wandering Jew for centuries. But in our own present generation, we saw the fulfillment of that which was given centuries ago through Ezekiel. I will take you from among the nations. You will no longer be known as the wandering Jew. I will gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land.
