Israel in the End Times Part 3 Kathryn Kuhlman

I was just so sure you'd not forget me today, all thanks and remember. No matter how you feel, or what kind of a day it is for you, or what the weather is like, or how big your troubles, as long as God is still on his throne and hears an answer's prayer, and just so long as your faith in him is still intact, Everything will come out all right. Today is going to be one of those days when I feel that our heart -to -heart talk is so important that I'm going to get right into it. That's right. Take your hands out of the dishwasher. That's right, fella. If you're crossing the office... Room, just stop right now. Sit down. There won't be any music, and you won't have time to do something else, because what I'm going to talk about today is as up -to -date as the last bit of news that you heard on television. I mean exactly that. That's the reason I'm killing you folk. If you really want to be up on world affairs, get out your Bible. That's exactly what I said. Get out the Word of God. You can take your Bible in one hand. You can take the front page of your newspaper in the other. And you'll hardly be able to tell whether you're reading the Bible. Or whether you're reading your newspaper. When you hear your newscasters talking about Haifa, Damascus, the Dead Sea, Israel, Jerusalem. My word, you almost feel as though you are back again in the Old Testament. Back again with the prophets. And it's just like that. I want you to remember something. God really began his plan of redemption when he called Abraham, a Hebrew, out from the rest of the peoples of the then known world. Called him to become a peculiar people unto himself. But remember, they are an earthly people. When we talk about... The Jews being God's chosen people, they are. But they are an earthly people. And all of his covenants to Israel, to the Jew, are earthly covenants. Bible history reveals to us how God carried Abraham on in his plans to the birth of Isaac. The next he carried on by unfolding his will to Jacob and the twelve sons. Then on to the Egyptian bondage. On to the exodus from Egypt. Then into Canaan. Till at last the time came when that race of people were the dominating force of the world. Under King Solomon. And all... Through these generations, when Israel walked with God, when Israel kept God's word, when they were obedient to him, they kept that supreme God -given power. There's nothing in the world like having God's blessing. There's nothing. in the world, whether it's an individual or a nation, like having God's blessing in his favor and his smile. But God cannot bless disobedience. He can't. He simply cannot bless disobedience, whether it's in the life of an individual or that of a nation. Therefore, when Israel walked with God, was obedient to Him, they kept that supreme God -given power. But when they failed Him, when they became disobedient unto Him, He took that power away, gave it to certain sections of the Gentile race. And now for generations, The Jewish people have been scattered to the four corners of the earth. You'll find them in every nation in the world. It was not until this generation, 1947, 1948, 1949, and were again a recognized nation, the nation of Israel. But during the time of their being scattered throughout the world, we had the time of the Gentiles, and God turned from the Jew to the Gentiles. And we have had our day. God has been merciful unto us. We have had our opportunity for salvation. But remember something, and I must pause here and make it very clear. Even though the Jew is God's chosen earthly people, a Jew must be born again. in exactly the same way that a Gentile is born again. To be an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ Jesus. Just because a man is a Jew does not mean that he is born again and has a special place in heaven that he does not need to accept the Son of the Living God as his true Messiah. A Jew? To make heaven, to become an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ Jesus, must be born again, must have that new birth experience in exactly the same way that a Gentile must be born again. For when it comes to the new birth, there is neither Jew nor Gentile, race, blood, Color has nothing to do with it. We are all individuals in the sight of God. Race has nothing to do with it whatsoever. That's one place where there's no boundary. Ye must. whether you're Jew or Gentile, be born again. All right? Now watch something. God made a covenant with Abraham and to Abraham's seed. And I want to read that portion of the Word of God where we see that covenant made, the 70th chapter of Genesis. I will. Oh, those two words thrill me. When God says, I will, he will. You know, the day has come when you can no longer say that a man's word is as good as his bond. When I was a little girl, I remember they used to say that about Joe Kuhlman. And you want to know something? To this very day, if you were to go to Concordia, Missouri, and you'd drive down that... One main street. You'd turn off of Highway 40, going from Kansas City to St. Louis, and turn into Concordia, Missouri, go down that main street, and stop anybody on the main street of Concordia, Missouri, and say, Is this the hometown of Catherine Kuhlman? They would turn to you and they would say, Oh, you mean Joe Kuhlman's girl. Catherine Kuhlman doesn't mean a thing to the folk of Concordia, Missouri. Oh, I'll tell you, not a thing. But when you say Joe Kuhlman, he's the one. And anybody in Concordia, Missouri will say, there was a man. The most moral man that ever lived. There was a man whose word was as good as his bond. Ha ha. When Joe Kuhlman said, I will, you could stake your life on it. When God says, I will, whether it was to Abraham and his seed, or whether it's... to an individual today when you and i have his word when we have his promise we can stake our very life on it and a way back there when god said to abraham and made this covenant to abraham and his seed and said i will i'm telling you something he knew he keep that covenant. And the Jew has waited a long time. A long, long time. And sometimes I wonder if they wonder whether or not God was going to keep that covenant with the seed of Abraham. I wonder if they wonder. But this was a covenant. I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee and their generations for an everlasting covenant to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee. and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God. And to think that you and I are so privileged that we have lived in the generation when God kept, when he fulfilled that covenant. to Abraham and his seed. Think of it. And today, we have Israel as a nation with God's blessing upon them. Don't forget it. God's blessing is still upon the Jew. Never forget it. Never. And any nation that will attack Israel will have the wrath of God upon that nation. Touch not mine anointed. Keep your hands off of that anointed of the Lord, whether it's an individual. If that one has been chosen of God for a definite work, you keep your hands off of that one. Touch not mine anointed. They may do wrong. They may be disobedient. They may not be living the life that you think they should live. But you keep your hands off. God himself will chastise them. Keep your hands off. They're his anointed. And as surely as you lay hands upon them, As surely as you criticize them, there's something about it. You'll not be blessed. I can't tell you why. I don't know. But it has to do with the personality of God. It has to do with the love and the compassion of God. In exactly the same way with the Jew. I can't tell you why. He is God's chosen people. I can't tell you why. I don't know. I can't understand it, but I know that it's true. I've got to believe in it. The word says so. He is an earthly people. God's covenants are earthly covenants. His blessing is upon the Jew. He has chastised them for their disobedience. They have paid and paid dearly for not having accepted his only begotten son as the true Messiah. Oh, beloved, what Abraham's seed has gone through. the suffering, the persecution. He has paid and paid dearly that wandering Jew for generations without a homeland. Throughout the world, that wandering Jew. But, beloved, now he is coming into his own. Coming back again and very shortly, in the very near future, the eyes that have been blinded for so long, the eyes... of the Jew who has not seen spiritually that Jesus is all that he said that he was, will have his spiritual eyes open and not only one or two or a score or a hundred, but as a nation, they will... Turn and wholeheartedly accept Jesus Christ, the very son of the living God, as their true Messiah. Oh, that's thrilling. Whenever you talk about it being in the future, that thing is in the very near future. Mm -hmm. All right, go back again. For hundreds of years. Israel had tried the patience of a long -suffering God before he scattered that nation throughout the world. Oh, God is patient. I know so very often when it comes to an individual life, we wonder why God doesn't send judgment immediately. More than once in my life, you know, I've been glad that I wasn't God, and the individual can sure be glad that I wasn't God. Because I would have taken that one and I would have sent judgment to that one so quickly. And now, don't condemn me. You know that you've been in the same position when you have literally prayed for judgment to strike on an individual. And you've looked up and said, why in the world does God let that one get by with that thing? Why? Why doesn't God strike him? Why does God permit that one to get by with what he's done? Well, that's the mercy of God. That's the long suffering. That's the patience of God. But remember the story of the one who... Wrote to Dr. Turnbull, the editor of the Sunday School Times, challenging him. He said, you know, he said, my next door farmer friend, our lands join. And he said, he's a devout Christian. He wouldn't plow. He wouldn't harvest his grain. He wouldn't work on Sunday for any of the world. He goes to church. He believes the Bible. He says he's a Christian. And he said, I'm an atheist. I don't believe there's a God. I never read the Bible. Sunday doesn't mean any more to me than Monday or Wednesday or Saturday. And he said, you know, he said my barns are full. I've had a wonderful bumper crop this year. And my neighbor hasn't fared so well with all of his Christianity, with all of his praying, with all of his Bible reading. He said, yeah, Dr. Turnbull, how do you account for that? He says it's October and I've got more than my neighbor has. Dr. Turnbull just turned the man's letter over. And this is what he wrote on the back side. It's the man's letter. God does not make full settlement in October. Hmm. Yeah. For hundreds of years, Israel had cried the patience of her long -suffering God before he scattered that nation throughout the world. Read the book of Moses. Read it. From Genesis through Deuteronomy. See the failures. See the murmings of the people. Even while God was leading them from Egypt to Canaan with a mighty hand. Read the book of Judges. Read of the apostasies. Oh, God did everything. All the patience that God had with his people. Remember the times. Almost without number. when the kings of both Judah and Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. I tell you, beloved, the mercy and the long -suffering of Israel's God really causes us to marvel. Apostasy followed apostasy to finally God scattered Israel among all the nations. But in spite of their apostasy, in spite of the fact that they refused to accept the Son of God as their true Messiah when he came, God still had his word. with Abraham and the seed of Abraham, when he said, I will. I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed. I will. I will give unto thee and thy seed after thee the land wherein thou art a stranger. All the land of... Canaan, I will give you all of this earthly land. I will call you to be established again as a nation, recognized by all nations in the world. I will. I'll give you this. It's an everlasting possession. I will. Be their God. And in spite of Israel's disobedience, in spite of the apostasy, in spite of the fact that they have refused to accept the Son of God as their true Messiah, God still had to keep his word. And he did just exactly that. Oh, this is thrilling. This is marvelous. Let me just read something to you. Oh, do you see now how we can't have any music for a heart -to -heart talk like this? There's just no time. This goes on and on. And to think that we are living in the day, the very hour, right now, that the very thing that I'm talking to you about is the very thing that our newscasters are talking about, the very thing that you hear on television. On radio. The front pages of your paper. And that's the reason I can deal you without fear of contradiction. I'm not a prophet or the daughter of a prophet. But I have God's word to back me up. A God who said, I will. And any nation today, whether it's Russia, Whether it's Egypt, whether it's China, any nation that will touch Israel has sealed her doom. And it's just like that. Mm -hmm. Be careful. Be careful. Touch not mine anointed. God is saying keep your hands off of my chosen people. He's made provision for them. He'll keep his word. And I will tell you something without fear of contradiction. No matter how... It may appear this hour. Israel will come forth victorious. God is on her side. God bless you.
