Israel in the End Times Kathryn Kuhlman Part 1 Genesis 17 Covenant

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not. Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. And Jesus went out and departed from the temple. And his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming? End of the world. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For all these things must come to pass, but the end is nigh. is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, pestilence, earthquakes in diver places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then he continues in this 24th chapter of Matthew in the 32nd verse. now learn a parable of the fig tree when his branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves ye know that summer is nigh and so likewise ye when ye shall see all these things know that it is near even at the doors verily i say unto you This generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled. And then to make his words very certain, he continues by saying, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. In other words, you can stake your very life on my word. The God who has given a covenant, a God who has made a promise, will keep his word to the crossing of every T and the dotting of every I. All right, we're going to begin a new series of messages. Just good old -fashioned heart -to -heart talks. And before I do, I want to remind you of something, and that is the fact that it would be a very good idea if you would get that old -fashioned Bible, the Word of God that has been on your bookshelf lo these many years, the Bible that you have felt was outdated, outmoded. The Bible that you have not read for many, many months. You felt it was good for your mother. Oh, sure. You have memories of your grandmother sitting there, perhaps in an old -fashioned rocking chair, reading that precious word, weeping as she read, with a complete confidence in that word. Listen, beloved. That word, this very hour, is more up to date than tomorrow's newspaper. In this series of Heart to Heart Talks, I want to discuss with you God's program for Israel and for its land. And it's all outlined in the 36th to 37th chapters of Ezekiel. Micah, somebody says Ezekiel. That's in the Old Testament. Why, do you mean to tell me that in this present generation, when we have gotten so far and progressed so far in science, that you would recommend that we go back to the Old Testament that's so far removed from this 20th century? My friend, that which is found in the... Old Testament, that which the Holy Spirit gave more than 2 ,000 years ago is literally more up -to -date than your 6 o 'clock news, than your 11 o 'clock news tonight. And it's just like that. Before we begin, With the 36th, 37th chapter of Ezekiel, we must examine some truths that are necessary to understand these two chapters. We need to recognize that the Trinity, which includes God, Jehovah God, the promised land, and the chosen people, must not be broken. You cannot... Break this trinity. And remember something, when I speak of Israel, when I speak of the Jews, we are talking about an earthly people. A Jew must be born again in exactly the same way that a Gentile must be born again. Know that. In that, there is no favoritism whatsoever. Just because a man is a Jew does not mean that he does not have to be born again in exactly the same way that a Gentile must be born again. Both Jew and Gentile must accept Jesus Christ, the very Son of the living God, as a personal Savior to have salvation, to have redemption. to enter heaven, to be a part of the great body of Christ. Israel, the Jew, is an earthly people. All the covenants that God gave to Abraham and the seed of Abraham are all earthly covenants. The land that he promised, remember, is... here on earth. Therefore, I say to you, this trinity that's described in the Old Testament includes God, the land that God promised to Abraham and his seed, and God's chosen earthly people. You cannot separate these three. These three must go together. Now, much of the prophecy in Scripture is concerned with the land and the people. Jehovah is the God of the book. Israel is the people of the book. And the promised land is the land of the book. If the people of the book ignore or turn away from the God of the book, then the land of the book must be surrendered and God will judge both the land and the people. This trinity was promised. Abraham by God. You want to know something? If I had never believed any part of the Bible before, if I read the Bible and said, I cannot believe it, I would have to believe it this hour. I would have to believe that it is the very Word of God as I see God keeping His Word, His covenant with Israel, His earthly chosen people. It's like that. Remember something. In Genesis, the 17th chapter, we find a twofold promise. Begin, if you will, please, with the seventh verse. Two verses, seventh and eighth verses. This is the 70th chapter of Genesis. Go way back there, the first book of the Old Testament. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee and their generations for an everlasting covenant. to be a god unto thee and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee the land wherein thou art a stranger and all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession. And I will be their god. And he did exactly that. He did exactly that. The first part of the covenant was, I will be a God unto thee and to thy seed. The second part of the covenant was, I will give unto thee and to thy seed all the land of Canaan. These two verses were a covenant that God made with Abraham and his seed. And you and I saw the fulfillment of that in our generation. Oh, this is glorious. Do you want to know something? Ezekiel, the 36th and the 37th chapters are a rehearsal of God's program for his people. His people Israel and the promised land. Ezekiel tells us very clearly what God will do. And please bear in mind that these prophecies concerning the people of Israel always include their land. The two go hand in hand. They cannot be separated. Now, God really began his plan of salvation when he called Abraham. a Hebrew, out from the rest of the peoples of the then known world to become a peculiar people unto himself. And Bible history clearly reveals to us how God carried Abraham on in his plans even to the birth of Isaac. Next, he continued to carry on by unfolding his will to Jacob. And the 12 sons. And then on to the Egyptian bondage. Then he continues on to the exodus from Egypt. And then into Canaan until at last the time came when that race of people was the dominating nation of the world under King Solomon. When Israel walked with God, God blessed them. They kept that supreme God -given power. When they served him, when they were true to him, when they lived close to him, he blessed them. But when they failed him, he took that power away and gave it to certain sections of the Gentile race. Remember something. God never... never delegated this supreme earthly dominance to Jew and Gentile jointly. Never. He always gave it to one or the other. And history will bear out the fact that the world has always, from Solomon's time until now, been... either under Jew or Gentile, but never jointly. Jew time began under Solomon's reign, lasted until the Jewish or Hebrew people sinned away their rights to it. Then Gentile time began, and it has been Gentile time ever since. You and I have been living in Gentile time, while the Jews have been scattered to the east, to the west, to the north, to the south. They've been scattered throughout the world. While we have been living in Gentile time, and Jesus called the Gentile reign the times of the Gentiles, you'll find in his own words, the 21st chapter of Luke. The 24th verse. But remember something. There's a great transition period taking place right now. We're coming now to the time when literally the Gentile time is coming to an end. The dispensation of the Gentiles is quickly coming to an end. The Holy Spirit is about to leave this earth. When he goes, he will take the church of the Lord Jesus Christ with him, the bride of Christ. We are now in the very beginning of the time when God is going to keep every covenant he ever made with Israel, his earthly people. He will keep every covenant, every promise he ever made to Abraham and Abraham's seed down through the generations. And it began in the year of 1947, 48, 49, when Israel, for the first time, in 2 ,000 years became a nation. And Israel was recognized by all other nations except Russia. At that time, Russia was the only nation that would not accept Israel as a nation. But all other nations accepted Israel as a nation. And the Jews came from all parts of the earth. Oh, Hitler tried under his reign. Hitler did everything in his power to kill the Jews. But Hitler didn't reckon with God. There are thousands of men and women living today who are not reckoning with God. My friend, you'd better reckon with God. He's far from being dead. Where is he? He's exactly where he was when he spoke the worlds into existence. He's exactly... where he was when he said let there be light and there was light he's exactly where he was when he spoke and the moon was brought into existence and the sun was brought into existence And when man was created in his image and after his own likeness, he is this hour exactly where he was when he made a covenant with Abraham and Abraham's seed. And he will keep his word. He will keep his promise. And we're at the very threshold now when he is going to keep his word. Every part of that covenant with Israel, his chosen people. And believe me when I tell you that saying is true. You give the devil enough rope and he'll hang himself. I don't care whether it's true in an individual life, whether it's in the life of a nation. Always. You give the devil enough rope. And Russia sealed her own doom when she started to get greedy eyes. regarding Israel, God's chosen people. Touch not mine anointed. That's the word of God. Keep your hands off of the man, the woman, whom God has chosen. When you see a man or woman that has God's favor upon his life and God has chosen that one for his definite purpose, that one has God's blessing, that has God's anointing, don't touch them. You're playing with fire if you do. Touch not mine anointing. What is true of an individual is true of a nation. Touch not God's chosen people. He has dealt with them down through the years. Not always with favor, not always with blessing. When there was any chastising to be done, he has done it. And it's true with his... Chosen servant. Don't you try to chastise his chosen vessel. He'll chastise that one. As a father, a good father will punish his child. The heavenly father will punish his chosen child. So it is with the nation. God has sent his chastisement. His punishment, lo, these many years, upon a rebellious people, his chosen earthly people. But, my friend, it will not keep him from keeping his earthly covenants with them. And he'll see them through to the end. And I promise you, upon the authority of God's word, no matter what Russia does, no matter what China does, no matter what Egypt does, Israel will come out on top.
