Let's do a Bible study for a few minutes. Matthew chapter six. Matthew chapter six. Welcome to the House of God. Matthew chapter six. For a few minutes or just the Bible study will begin our reading from verse number five. And when thou prayest, thou shall not be as the hypocrites are for the lock to praise, standing in the synagogues and in the corner of the streets. That they may be seen of men. Verily, I say unto you, they have their reward, but went down praised, enter into thy closet and went down has shut thy door. Pray to thy father which is in secret, and my father, which see it in secret, shari what they. Openly. Hallelujah, I say, hallelu. All right, we'll just take a little peace on prayer, just for a few minutes, and then we'll we'll go into the practice of prayer or practicalize the things that we are going to be teaching for a few moments and see the way God answers prayer. First of all, in this presentation, Jesus made us to understand that the extent to which we will prosper in the enterprise of prayer is the degree to which we have captured the revelation of God as Father. God happens to be an eternal personality, and he has so many signs such that even in eternity we will not exhaust learning his ways, learning about him. He is inexhaustible. We cannot fatom him. But that side of God, that is the fatherhood side of God, happens to be the side of God that we pray to. And the extent of which we're going to prosper in that enterprise is will be determined by our revelation of Him as Father. At the moment I began to speak about fatherhood, somebody in the hall, in the auditorium will be tempted to think that because you are a father, you have a good idea. Of what it means when we say God as a father. You're wrong. Okay, let's prove that from the Bible. First. Can we do Matthew Chapter seven. We do Matthews Chapter seven, and I'm going to be careful to present only scriptures that are within the context of the subject matter. In Matthew chapter seven, Verse seven, the Bible says, ask, it's still on prayer, and it shall be given you sick, and he shall find knock and it shall be opened on you. Why then he begins to give us why this spiritual principle is a possibility. He expounds upon the provision that it makes available. He is for everyone that asks receive it, and he that seekeret find it. And to him that knocked, it shall be open. That's the reason why ask, and he shall receive sick, and he shall find knock and it shall be opened onto you. Is a valid spiritual possibility because there is a provision in the spirit to minister to everyone that asks. There is an allocation of grace in the spirit to minister to everyone that cares to knock. Not everyone cares to knock, but just. In case you knock, there is an allocation of God in the spirit to ensure that every one, without exception that decides to knock, it will be open onto him. Allelujah. Then he now goes further to explain the explanation. First of all, it gives us the provision. Then he now tells us the air location that has been made available to guarantee the provision. Then he now goes further to explain that allocation. It says, or what man is there of you, whom, if his son asks bread, will give him a stone, or if he asks fish, will give him a certain He says, there any man like that? Then he makes a profound statement. In verse eleven, he says, if ye, then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more will your heavenly father, which is in heaven give good things to them? To ask him? Now, I would like you to understand the context in which he calls us evil. The context is in comparison in our own fatherhood. He said, what man. Is there any man that his son will asks for bread and it gives him a stone? Is there any man that his son will asks for fish and he will give him a separate? So then he announ says, our fatherhood in comparison with God, is evil. That's what that scripture is saying. If he and the ye there he is referring to we fathers. So just in case you are here and you talk that all right, because we're talking about fatherhood and your grandfather, a great grandfather, you're experience in the ways of fatherhood. You, according to the analysis of scripture, your practice of fatherhood and the model that you have sustained is evil compared to God's model of fatherhood. And that's why you will need a revelation of God's concept of fatherhood in order for you to excel in the practice of personal praying. If you're still with me, say amen, see the way you said amen. I'm suspecting that many of us that responded do not have a personal platform of dialogue and intimate I say, if you're here, say a man, all right, So how will I establish that? I will like to also present to us the chattered procedure, the chartered method by which we can understand God's model of fatherhood. There are three. Matters I want to raise in the reading that we did. The first matter is the matter of God as a father. The second matter is the matter of the use of the word hypocrite, because in the prayer arena we have prayer hypocrites, and Jesus did not. He did not obscure the definition of who a prayer hypocrite is. And a lawyer. Okay, now, because you did not respond, we will just stop at further all right, let me take us to the Book of Matthew chapter eleven again, and then I will show you the only way we can understand the fatherhood side of God. And then we're going to use that formula to trace his identity as Father. And each strand of that truth that we escave it, that we dredge out of scripture is intended to influence your personal prayer engagement with God. So you must understand that that's the objective of the study. Every aspect of God's fatherhood that we escavate out of scripture is supposed to be an enhancement of the prayer enterprise that your life sustains. And so in the Book of Matthew chapter eleven. In Matthew chapter eleven, I will read from the twenty five to verse twenty seven, still on the subject of God's fatherhood. At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank the Old Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, because thou had eat these things from the wise and prudent, and as revealed them onto babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thine sight. And invest twenty seven, Jesus begins to speak about a very deep matter. He says, all things and delivered onto me or my father. And no man knows know what the son, but the father neither know what any man the father saved the son, or him soever the son revealed him. So there is only one personality that can reveal the father. Is the chapter. Personality that has the authority to reveal the Father. So if we want to know the Father, but we need to rely on the testimony of Jesus about him. There are nine such revelations that Jesus brought to the table. However, we're going to explore too this morning so that we can have time for practicals. Alle lawyer, The purpose of what we want to do today is to reveal to us the things we miss if you do not deliberately and intentionally drive towards establishing a personal life or communion with God. Now, okay, we need to go back to Matthew chapter six, and then we will commence our journey. The first thing Jesus raises is the issue of hypocrites. Say, in order. For you to maximize the potential of prayer, you must not be as the hypocrites do. The hypocrites are. That love to pray in the synagogues and in the corner of the streets. So the platform of the hypocrite is a synagogue and the corner of the streets. The effort of the hypocrite is to capture the attention of men. Because the effort of the hypocrite is designed to capture the attention of men, they've been excluded. From a reward. Now, I know you didn't get that. You say, when we pray, the motivation for which we pray is to get answers from God. But according to this scripture, from God's perspective, the reason why he want you to pray, it's because he wants to give you a reward. In fact, a hypocrite can get answers to his prayer. But what a hypocrite is excluded from experiencing are the rewards or prayer. You know, the Bible says it's a coming to God that anyhow he comes, he might, But at the end of the day he came, there are things that he's going to secure just because he came. He might have come as a hypocrite, he might have come in the wrong way, but he came. He's going to have access to some matters. But it is the reward for prayer that the hypocrite is excluded from participating in because he already got his. Reward by so his audience men. He knows how to capture the attention of men, and he has gotten his reward because he will eventually secure the attention of the people that he needs the attention. And that becomes his reward. So he can even have answers, but he is excluded from Have you taken your time to ask yourself? Okay? For instance, the Bible says, call on to me, and I will answer you. That means I give answers, and I will show you great and mighty things. He did not ask for that which now knowst not that's a reward. Now, your challenge, your situation, your circumstance become might be the motivation for which you are seeking God's intervention. That's okay. But God has a different reason for which he wants you to seek him. There are things that he wants to uncover. There are things he wants to bring you into. They are seals he wants to break so that you can enter into a different economy. The problem with the hypocritis that he is. Excluded from the reworld and the reason why he raises the issue of a prayer hypocrite. Meanwhile, if you read the Book of Matthew chapter six, the broadheading of Matthew chapter six, and the righteous deeds of Kingdom people, and then you are going to see three aspects of righteous deeds. The first aspect is giving, second aspect is prayer, that aspect is fasting. And in all cases, Jesus did not say if you give. He didn't say if you pray, He didn't say if you first. So Jesus is saying, is assume mean that we already know that we are supposed. To give, was well acquainted with. The fact that we're supposed to pray, and we know that we cannot be dissociated from the responsibility of first. So people that understand that one this is for them, if ali lujah. And it also surprised you to know that in the presentation that Jesus gave in Matthew six, he identified a giving hypocrite, he identified a prayer hypocrite, and he identified a first in hypocrite. Because my subject is prayer today, I don't want to digress to describe maybe maybe okay, no, let me stay with my topic. Because Ah, when he pray there's a reason why he raised the issue of the prayer hypocrites is because of an aspect of our Father. According to him. Can we go to verse six, verse six, Sorry, yeah, Matthew. Chapter six, verse six, It says, but dow, when dow prayers enter into thy closet, and when Thao has shut thy door, three to thy Father, which is in secret. So the first, the first identity, the first insight into the person of our Father that Jesus gives is his location. He is a god that is in secret. It is in view of the fact that he is a god that is domiciled in secret, that he defines. Who a hypocrite is. A hypocrite has no insight into prayer hypocrite, I mean, has no insight into the fact that our Father is in secret. Yes, remember when God was trying to teach Samuel how to know man. You know subsequently you will hear apostle, Paul says, henceforth knowing no man after the flesh. So the training that will bring gilt to that point where you have that revelation that as Paul had, was what God was giving Sami when the sons of Jesse stood before him and he has received intelligence that the King of Israel was gonna come from this family. And the reason for which I rejected him is nothing that you can see in the natural. Are in fact. In verse number six, Jesus gives us two two aspects of the Father. Reveals two aspects of the father. The first aspect to reveal was that the father is in secret. The second aspect of the Father that was we're going to talk to some secut is that the father sees in secret. It's not just in secret. But that's how he also sees he's seen. He's in secret. Meanwhile, the hypocrite likes the outward appearance. The hypocrite wants to catch human attention. The hypocrite has strategic platforms that it stands on in order for him to catch human attention. And his platforms are the synagogue and what the corners of district. But God is in secret, and so if you are going to do business with a God that is in secret, and in fact, what we mean by that is that God is domiciled in the privacy of your heart, many of you are ignorant, ignorant of the movements of God, of the way God feels in your heart. You are not conscious of the inner chamber. And you want to be a giant of prayer. At best, you are going to get answers, but you will never get any warm because a man that understands that our Father is in secret is a man that will be willing to text to his heart always. And Satain knows that he knows that your prayer, many the first things that your prayer are sense to God in language, in human language, you are wrong. The first time the church was ever mentioned was in the Book of Matthew and the metaphors that were used to reveal the church in Jesus' presentation. The first metaphor is the rock, second metaphor the gates. The gates. You will need to understand those metaphors within that context. Oh my, you know with me. That's the seed, Matthew, Chapter sixteen, verse sixteen. That's the seed seed revelation of the Church. But by the time you build and you see the streams begin to break out from the point where the seed was planted. In the Book of Revelation, you, Nancy, Jesus, that's the consumitting revelation. Jesus was walking in. The midst of the seven golden candlesticks, and the seven golden candlesticks in that presentation actually referred to the church, meaning that that is the only infrastructure that can reveal him. And the church mentioned in the Book of Revelation was they were territorial in nature, and the witness, which is the light that is coming from the candlesticks in each territory, is the witness of the Christ. So Saturn's job is easy. He knows that the only instrument upon the face of the earth that has the capacity to witness Christ, to reveal Christ. Is the Church. So the gates of Hell make it a point of beauty. To act, tack the Church, and to strifle it of its essence, so that it exists as an organism that no longer has the authority to bear witness the weirkness of Christ. So the Book of Revelation is a concluding book. It's a completing book. It's a consume meeting book. So if we trust the subject of prayer from the seeds that were sown all across culture, and we trace it to the Book of Revelation, it will take us to the Book of Revelation chapter five. Come with me. I need to show us something. The subject of Revelation Chapter five, for instance, and this is a digression, is not just a digression. The subject of Revelation Chapter five is the subject of the sealed Book. The Council of Heaven. No, the Council of God, not the Council of Heath. Because when somebody prophesies three sources, and if you have studied your by way lead to you'll be able to know where it's coming from. That is an accurate professor. Instead of coming from the Council of God or the Council of Heaven or the Council of Angels, there is a way or trances from each of these sources sound. Eventually an individual was found and I was wondering why God did not raise the standard, reduce the standard. Now that there's nobody in heaven, now that there's nobody on it, now that there's nobody beneath the ad that qualifies to be able to unravel and to break the seals, why not reduce the standard so that people can be accommodated. It's unfortunate. We have received a kingdom that cannot be moved. That aspect is not a variable. The variable is we We will need to upgrade. God will not know. He will not reduce the standard because there's a generation that is now on feit to meet the expectation of the Council of God. The things that come from the chamber of the Council of God are sealed with the glory of God, and those there's no form of adjustment that can be made to. So the Bible says. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and twenty elders fell down before the lamb, having every one of them haaps and golden vins full of orders, which were the prayers of the sins. That's that's the consumation of the prayer. This revelation here, that's how prayer comes into God's courts. He actually smells your prayer. He doesn't hear it now, So it is only your heart that has the kind of all time that can produce that incense, only of human heart. And it happens to be that that's where God is. So God is in secret. Many of us pray. When you are praying, you are praying, and your heart is not involved in what you. Are doing, you have missed it. You will get answers to your prayers, but you will never be elebated to the rem of rewards. When Satan sees you on the streets. She knows that the aspect of you that holds the altar that can generate incense is inside of you. So what he will do is that he will make human beings. You will make circumstances affect that art. If you are someone that wants to excel in prayer, you will follow the counsel that says, keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life, you protect it. If you have not yet come to that point, that's the reason why that enterprise doesn't prosper many cases. It's a hatless, heartless initiative in most cases. According to scriptures, there are thirteen ways, the thirteen states that your heart can assume, thirteen states and certain based on situations, based on circumstances, based on responses, based on So your heart can sustain thirteen different postures, and only one poster is accurate. Most of your attacks, most of the things you go through, most of the circumstances you find yourself most of the We all go through defeats, we all go through failures, we all go through we get knocked down. But you're being knocked down is not the issue. Is the effect it has upon your heart. That is the issue. That's where the worst spring of life will come from. And only few among the people of God in the body of Christ understand how to save God the world spring. If you don't save God the world spring attiquately, Satan can rob you of ten years.
