Hope in Troubling Times

About this sermon

Trouble is part of life, no matter how much we try to avoid, minimize, or control it. The key to facing it is learning God’s prescribed response to it. In this powerful message, Pastor Don Johnson takes us to Mark 5, where Jesus raises Jairus’ daughter from the dead. When Jairus was told his daughter had died, his faith was tested. He had a choice: Give in to despair or keep hoping in Jesus. We all face moments that challenge our faith. And it’s in those very moments that Jesus’ words must echo loudest in our hearts: “DON’T BE AFRAID, JUST BELIEVE.” Hope is a powerful force, born out of knowing that God is not finished with us. It’s the deep expectation of good rooted in trusting that Jesus will finish what He started. Even when life takes you out of your comfort zone, don’t let bad reports, distractions, or fears rob you of your breakthrough. Like with Jairus, Jesus is walking with you on the journey to manifestation. Keep your eyes on Him. Hear His voice above the noise. Focus on His truth — and be set free!
