#GoodThingsTakeTime #ItIsGood #Sermon #Victory #PaulDaugherty #Church SERMON NOTES ----We love the scripture in ACTS 2:1-4, 14-17 ----and SUDDENLY there came a sound of a RUSH OF WIND_-- but that suddenly took a VERY VERY VERY LONG TIME to set up… IT wasn’t suddenly without any preparation or development--- it was the fulfillment of scriptures spoken HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of YEARS BEFORE THAT in which generations were waiting to see it happen that didn’t live to see it… 1,000 years of a prophesy waiting to be fulfilled---JOEL 2 Isaiah 45:15 (MSG)--- clearly you are a God who works behind the scenes… ---It’s part of HIS NATURE to DEVELOP THINGS OVER TIME--PROGRESSIVE FAITH--- evolving faith--- Good things take time… — Genesis 1:1-16 — morning and evening… morning and evening… it wasn’t instantaneous--- it was developmental --- it takes time to get there… ---God could have created the whole world in one second---but instead he stretches it out over time----- he creates SPACE for CREATIVITY-----SPACE to WORK----SPACE to EVOLVE-----SPACE to DREAM-----SPACE to SOW SEED and SPACE to REAP a HARVEST-----creation- don’t rush it- pace yourself - do something daily - morning / evening - one day at a time - seed time - harvest - trust the process - Gods up to something good – --Question- Do you ever have moments where you’re like- wow I have so much to work on in my life- so many areas to improve in- so many projects to finish- messages to apply- emails to respond to- It can start to feel overwhelming… ----How in the world am I gonna get done with all I’ve got to do? Is it really gonna work out! Marriage, health, job, promotion, kids, school tuition, bills, car, house, etc… If you feel like it’s over- like throwing in the towel- you’re not the only one- My dream sometimes has seemed so far away and so much work to do… ----AND CAN YOU CELEBRATE THAT IT’S GOOD BEFORE IT’S DONE???? GOD called everyday GOOD even though it wasn’t the FRUITION of the VISION that was in his heart--- He was able to LOOK AROUND and ENJOY the PROCESS – the development wasn’t frustrating, or boring, or hyper-critical--- HE WAS SAYING IT IS GOOD even before it was DONE… ----EVEN though it wasn’t FINISHED--- he was saying—MAN I know I still got fish to put in this water and I still got people to put in this garden and I haven’t put the roses in yet and I haven’t added the tigers in here or the bald cypress tress yet but IT’S STILL GOOD---- I know I haven’t put the stars up there but it’s STILL GOOD… ----Can you celebrate that it’s good before it’s done???
