It was almost as if they thought that 0:06:57.520 --> 0:07:01.760 they got those things by luck or by external circumstances, 0:07:02.520 --> 0:07:07.800 and because of their ability to depersonalize their accomplishments, that 0:07:07.920 --> 0:07:12.280 a very difficult time integrating their successes into their identity. 0:07:13.440 --> 0:07:16.640 So although they were in positions of power, they felt 0:07:16.760 --> 0:07:21.000 very weak. Although they were in positions of influence, they 0:07:21.000 --> 0:07:27.040 felt insignificant, and the term imposter syndrome was coined. A moment ago, 0:08:46.000 --> 0:08:48.559 we were singing a song that said, that's why I 0:08:48.679 --> 0:08:53.800 trust in God. One time, Jesus asked an interesting question 0:08:53.880 --> 0:08:56.480 of Peter, because Peter stepped out of the boat to 0:08:56.520 --> 0:08:59.280 walk on water and all of a sudden started thrashing 0:08:59.280 --> 0:09:02.240 when he saw the wind in the waves, And Jesus said, 0:09:02.240 --> 0:09:04.000 why did you doubt? 0:09:05.080 --> 0:09:07.280 It's kind of the flip side of what we were singing. 0:09:08.040 --> 0:09:11.240 That's why I trust him because he healed my cancer. 0:09:11.280 --> 0:09:12.680 That's why I trust him. 0:09:13.200 --> 0:09:16.880 Because when my money was low, he made provision for 0:09:17.000 --> 0:09:20.199 me in a very unusual way. It's humanity.
