ESCAPING THE CURSE OF POVERTY :To Enter The Life That God Has Intended
Pastor Paul AdefarasinAbout this sermon
Did you know that every civilisation produces its own orthodoxies. Beliefs are rehearsed so consistently, absorbed so gradually, that they eventually cease to feel like beliefs at all and instead begin to feel more like the natural order of things. Some of those orthodoxies have built great societies. And yes, they have. Others have quietly dismantled them from the inside out. Yet, one of the most enduring beliefs of our time, present not only in culture but deeply embedded within the Church itself, is the belief that insufficiency spiritually somehow is of God… that to struggle perpetually is purportedly a mark of holiness… and that lack, in some sacred sense, reflects the will of God for His people. This is a satanic lie. Sophisticated in its construction. Theological in its costume; and generational in its damage. Why so? Because the most consequential battles in life are never first financial. They are first ideological. They begin in the mind long before they appear in the marketplace and the concourse of life. And until wrong thinking is confronted, cycles hardly ever change.
