ENGAGING THE LIGHT 2nd Session Morning

Father, speak to our hearts again, bless us and transform us even by your light. And I pray that every yoke and every burden in this place that it will give way because light has come for in Jesus' much less name. We have prayed. God, bless you. Please be seated. Samy said, I was glad when they said, unto me, let us go to the house of the Lord. I have said that there are things you do not find in a bank. There are things you do not find in a school. There are things you do not find in a hotel. Or a guest tells you only find it in the house of God. Allelujah. So we continue from where we left off yesterday. The Lord began to deal with us along the lines. Of light from where the team came. And we considered a few things yesterday. Just allow me do a one or two minute recap. And we said a few things yesterday, how that according to Festimolti two one to four, that God desires for all believers to be remember and then to come into the knowledge of the truth. And we took our time to explain the biblical pathway that leads to salvation, genuine salvation. We said, it is only in and through the Son of the Living God. And then we said that when a believer becomes saved, the next assignment is to work in partnership with the world of God, to work in partnership with the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to contend for knowledge and growth. Then we said a few things about darkness. If you recall that darkness represents so many things in scripture, but for a consideration yesterday, we looked at too essentially. Number one, that darkness is. Always associated with evil in all its entirety, and that darkness is always associated with and connected to ignorance. Remember, And we stated a few things that darkness affects vision. There is no clarity of vision and purpose in the presence of darkness. Number two, that. It affects speed, you're not able to make constructive progress. We said also that darkness alters identity, that in a room that is dark, for instance, you are not able to. Know who is who. And we took a. Case study from the life of Jacob in the House of Love and Allelujah. Then we began to challenge ourselves that every area where the. Intent the will of God is yet to be established in our lives is because there is the presence of darkness there. Allelujah. We also took our time to pray, and so that was about that. Please do get the teaching again and listen very very carefully. Ye shall know the truth, and the Bible says the truth that you know, engaging it by faith is what will make you free. This morning, we're considering for a topic engaging the light. Engaging the light. I want to show you, by the spirit of the Living God, how to engage light for the profiting and the overall excelling of the believer. The Bible lets us know that the world of God is able to profit the believer. When you do business, there is no guarantee that you. Will profit accept you engaged by certain principles. Am I right on that? Two people can engage the same business and one person will end up in a loss, a disappointing loss, whereas another person will profit from the same business. So the problem may not be the business itself, but how it was approached. Am I right on that? So there is a way you can engage scripture. There is a way you can engage the word of God that it looks important and it's not able to produce the kind of result that God said. Should produce be produced from it. But there is a profitable way of engaging scripture. And this is a consideration for this morning. Allelujah help us again, Holy Spirit. In Jesus' matchless. Name, we pray. The Bible says, the entrance. Of thy word give it light and understanding onto the simple. The entrance of His word gives. Light beyond an information. It gives light and understanding onto the simple. Now, let me recap on something that perhaps a number of you may have heard me say, and this is very important for our understanding this morning. That the Bible essentially contains promises principles and prophecies. If you're writing, you may want to write that down. Every time you open the Bible, you are interacting with three dimensions of spiritual realities. Number one promises, Number two principles, and number three prophecies. Promises represent the commitment of God to the saints, the commitment. It's a compendium of God's commitment all that he has said he will be and do to you when certain conditions are met. They are called promises. Number two principles, the modus operandi of the Kingdom. The principles of the Kingdom, as revealed in scripture helps you to walk in wisdom and to work effectively within the Kingdom. Remember I told that when you encounter Jesus, Jesus is the entrance, the authorited system of entrance into the Kingdom. But now that you are in the Kingdom, you must know how to function in the kingdom. And that is the assignment of the principles of the Kingdom. We call them the mysteries of the Kingdom. And then number three, because the believers work is a journey, a well together. That journey officially begins when you encounter Jesus. But there is a prophetic destiny within the our life now and even beyond. So the Bible. Contains prophecies, prophecies that stand as a compass, guiding us to understand times and seasons within the frame of our work on earth and even beyond this time. This is all that you find in scripture. So when I open my Bible, I'm not just reading verses and chapters and books. They may be arranged in various forms chronologically or by books or whatever it is. But the most important thing is to know that every time you open your Bible, you are encountering the promises of God, the principles of the Kingdom, and the prophecies that guide the believer's destiny. Are we together? This is very important. So the Bible says efficients one and use three. Efficients one and verse three the third verse of the first book of Efficiens, thank you blessed be the God and Father of. Our Lord, Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us. Take notes, now have blessed us with how many all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. All spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. This is what God had blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. In Christ. The Bible tells us clearly that the believer has been blessed, but we have been blessed with realities that are beyond the physical realm allelujah. Our assignment is to understand the dynamics and the spiritual technology of transporting these all spiritual blessings to now reside within. Our domain all together. Whether or not you are able to work in this reality does not change the fact that you have been blessed with not some, not a. Few, not many, but all spiritual blessings. Allelujah. You know what this means, every equipping, every tool that is required for you to leave an effective and a victorious Christian life. When Jesus hung upon the cross and said it is finished, the meaning of that statement was that whatever stood as a barrier between you and stepping into your relationship with God number one and then actualizing your prophetic destiny had been taken out of the way. Now that is a spiritual reality. It does not mean that it will find expression physically in your life. There is a whole dynamics for converting spiritual realities to become true in our lives. For instance, the Bible says, right from the foundations of the earth, the Lamb was slain, but nobody was saved from that reality. Are we together? Nobody sins was forgiven. Because the Lamb was slain from the foundations of the earth. He had to come, as the Word incarnate in Manuel, to dwell with. Us, who work for thirty three years hung upon the three physically. That's why when he came, he started looking for where it was written concerning him, so that he will act out in keeping with the prophecies that have been written. So when he found it, for instance, in Look chapter. Four, he said, today is this scripture who filled in your ears? And he began to work in keeping the Messianic prophecy. Isaah sixty one says, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. When he came, he started finding out what was written concerned me. When he found it, he. Limited his life to that which was written. I went together and it was the physical dying on the. Cross, sheding his blood. Literally that translated to the salvation of men. So, just because we have been given these spiritual blessings according. To Ephesians one, verse three, it does. Not automatically I think this is where most people in church and in the Body of Christ make a mistake. When they find truths written in scripture. They believe that just because it is written, it means automatically it is true in my life. That is not. So if I write you a check of a million era, that is true, I'm not mean you that is a real check? Is that true? But you cannot carry you may not carry that check to a mall? Are we together? And then pick products and say, listen, I'm holding a check. I'm not a frauds So I really have money. You see that, with respect to the dynamics of exchange within that mall, you do not have money. No matter how you convince yourself you can enter there. Even you can staple the check on your chest so that everybody sees you. But you will be surprised that you might be arrested. You will have to go to the bank. Am I right on that? So if you do not know how to convert your check into cash, are we together now to make the money deposited in your account here and now? Then you can now use it for transactions. So there are many believers who are carrying this spiritual check. I am here that I am blessed, I'm not in an entity, and. Yet they go to the exchange system of life, and life says. We are not aware that you are holding all of this, and we're wondering, are you saying God live? No, it is the dynamics of converting spiritual realities to become true in your life. This is my assignment this morning. Allelujah. Yes, I have seen well meaning believers live defeated lives, and in many cases, the modern defeats the more you see them put in scriptures. Now, this is not wrong, but it's just that we do. Not understand that there is a difference between the prophetic speakings of God and their experiential manifestations. So when God speaks, you see, he speaks from his realm. God can look at you and say you are already blessed, you are already lifted. That's how God speaks. He speaks to men like he's speaking to himself. But you need to know how to capture that reality and convert it within the context of your domain so that you can work in victory. If you've understood me, so first, amen, allelujah. So we're learning how to engage the light God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Set it for a fact, whether you have been an experiential beneficiary of that truth or not does not change the fact that this is the reality that God has made available for you. Allelujah. In First Corinthians Chapter two, First Corinthians Chapter two, we read eleven and twelve Paul again was speaking to the church in christe for what man knowing the things of man save the spirit of man. Which is in him. Even so the things of God know no man but the Spirit of God. But twelve, Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God. To what end that we might know the thing things that are freely. Given to us of God. Let's read the bee part again, that we might know the things that are freely given. To us of God. Very profound scripture. There are things God wants us to know that He's already given us, and he gave the Holy Spirit to guide us to help us know that there are things we have been given. We look at one more scriptures, a scripture that has ministers so deeply to me. Second Peter, Chapter one, two to four. Second Peter one two to four. Hallelujah, Grace and peace be multiplied onto you. Grace and peace be multiplied onto you same. And first of all, then he now says, through the knowledge. Notice he never said through knowledge. Through the knowledge definite article, there is an exact body of truth that at ministers grace and peace onto you you. He calls it the. Knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ verse three, reading to four, and a coding us his divine power have given us. Do you see it? There? Again? How many things? One more time, all things that pertain onto life and godliness. Peter is such an intelligent apostle. He breaks it down to let us know that the things we have been given sorts our living here, and then it sorts godliness, our work with God. It would have been a risk if we're only given the things that pertain onto life. That means your supplies without anything that gives you an edge spiritually, or where God would sort out our spiritual lives and then. Leave us with no help physically. But Apostle Peter says that God gave us all things that pertain to life, your well being, as far as your sojourn in the earth is concern, and then godliness your work with God. But again he says, access to. These things and experience comes through knowledge, through the knowledge of Him that has called us into glory and. Virtue as fall, whereby are. Giving to us exceeding great and precious promises. This is another name for the spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Peter gives it another expression, that they are exceedingly great and they are precious promises, that by these we might empartake us in experience of the divine nature. That means, if you claim I am born again, internal life is at work in me, the life of God is in me. There are promises that you must access. And engage by faith. Are we together that will make your life a proof indeed that you are. A recipient of eternal life life. That by this he might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world too lost. So three scriptures all are testing and confirming the fact that God hath given us set to this. As a believer, you want to engage the light of scripture for your profiting. You have to know that these realities have already been finished in Christ. They are not about to happen. God is not about to send them. No, these are realities. When Jesus said it is finished, believe it for a. Fact that he meant what he said. Allelujah. He went to Hades, the place of the dead, defeated Hell, since Satan the grave, the Bible says, he resurrected by the glory of God on the third day. Allelujah. Paul in his Pauling Epistle intelligently efficients one efficients too. He began to describe our current position in light of all that Christ has done. I hope you know. That Jesus Christ is the epicenter as far as our pursuit and everything around the Kingdom is concern. You cannot excel in the Kingdom outside of your relationship and your partnership with Jesus. So the beginning, the alpha and old maga of the entire span of the believer's journey is Jesus. Everything we have, everything we are, everything we're evolving into, is because of all. That he is and all that He's done. Allelujah. So, if I ask you what gives you confidence that you will not fail in life? If you just say I come to church, that's fair, But that's from a standpoint of spiritual intelligence, that's not an intelligent answer. All together, your partnership, your oneness with the Lord Jesus Christ, is the basis for everything and anything good that will ever happen to you. Efficient chapter six and verse ten, Paul again was speaking to us, and he said, finally, brethren, be strong. I wish we could see this from amplified a life amplifies rendition. It says, be strong in the Lord. Thank you. Draw your strength from. Him and be empowered to your union with Him. So your empowerment is a product of your union key that is joined to Christ. The Bible declares, has become one spirit. There are two profound implications of redemption or the death, burial and the resurrection of Jesus. Number one is that that has brought the believer to a standpoint of union. You are now united with Christ by his spirit. Alleluyah. So you see that captured in the following epistle efficients particularly, he uses the word together raised, talk together with Him, raised, talk together God Together. Mentality must be embedded within your spirit that for as long as you are in Christ, you are never alone again together together you can. Fail alone, but you and Him cannot fail together. You can be defeated alone, but you and the Lord Jesus Christ, by his spirit, cannot be defeated together. That begins to give you a superior orientation as you dere life together, raised talk together with him, and then the Bible says, number two is our positional advantage that, on account of who Christ is and what He's done, we've been elevated to a position seated with him. The Bible says, far above thrones, Dominion's principalities powers every name that is named, not only in this world, but even that which is to come. These are spiritual realities. You must believe by faith and engage my knowledge to work in the experience of That means the most defeated believer and the most effective believer. Have the same heritage in Christ. Let me repeat myself, the most defeated believer today right now and the most effective and. Victorious believer have the same heritage. As far as the provisions that come through redeption is concerned. The difference is the ability to engage the light for another person. He may have wallowed around ignorance, given all kinds of excuses to his detriment, and then another person, like we said yesterday, has taken the responsibility to contend for enlightenment. So set for a fact that scripture is true, that we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. And then Peter calls them. Exceeding great and precious promises. Let me walk you through at least two or three of these promises so that you are aware. Do not forget. Please keep it at the back of your mind that we said the Bible contains promises, remember God's commitment to you. Number two. It contains principles, the. Modus operandi of the kingdom, and it contains prophecies. Let's look at a few promises that we have been given according to scripture. Number one. I will just pick a few in no particular order. Deuteronomy, chapter twenty eight, from verse one and two. We consider that yesterday, but let's look at it just as a case study. We're sampling a few promises that are in scripture for the profiting of the believer. If and when engaged, it shall come to pass. If thou shalt diligently happen to the voice of the Lord thy God. This is God speaking. Now to Abraham to observe and to do all his commandments, which I commanded this day, That the Lord that God will set thee on high above how many all nations? Does that include America? Does that include uk anywhere at all? Above all the nations of the earth? Verse two. All these blessings shall. Come on thee. All these blessings shall come on THEE and overtake thee. If thou shalt happen to the voice of the Lord. And then it begins to read on. Let let's let's look at a few vestrate it pleased. Shalt thou be in the city blessed? Shalt thou be in the field? Less shall be the fruit of your body, the fruit of your ground, the foot of your cattle. Now we can stop there. These are exceeding great and precious promises. But there are spiritual realities. You can read them and never walk in them. All through your lifetime. God still remains true. It is your you're not understanding how to engage the light that makes him look like a liar in your life. The Bible says, let God be true, and every man a liar. Can we consider a few more. Isaiah chapter forty three one and two Isaiah forty three one and two. But now say the Lord that created d oh Jacob, he that formed the o Israel, He says, fear not, for I have redeemed you. You see how God speaks. I have called thee by name. Don't assume you understand what that scripture is until you meditate it. If your name is Joseph and I call you Joseph, I don't expect Joseph and Mary coming. I didn't call to people. I singled you out as a sign of honor and as a sign that I am aware. That you are here. So when the Bible says I have called you by name out of the over eight billion people on earth, that he knows your name, and he is that meticulous about your destiny, you are not just a number upon the earth. I have called you by name. Then he says you are mine. When thou passes through waters, I will be with you. Now, hold on what the truth is that if we were to be honest, our lives in many regards do not look like God is with us. Yet this is an exceeding great and precious. Promise that every time you see waters boistero storms. Be sure that I will be with you. Does that look like what happened to the disciples when Jesus was at work when there was that storm, Remember, but he was there, but he was sleeping. It was their responsibility to wake him. I went together. You would think his presence in the boat who con the storm. No, as for him, he was sleeping because if that boat got killed, another miracle would have happened. He probably would have vanished. So he was secured in himself. Remember you were That's why they talked him. They said, clereress, not that we perish. Not you. We know you have a way of delivering yourself. But as for us, you see that now. And he got up and reviewed your own belief. And then he told the wind. He stilled, that's finishing. When you pass through the rivers, it will not overflow you. And when you walk through fire Nigeria, fire, thou shalt not be burned. So if you are being born, don't just say God, where are you? No, The responsible question is what am I not doing? There was a rich young ruler who came to Jesus and said, good Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life? He was a responsible young man. He did give me eternal life. I take responsibility. What role do I have to play? You see that? Now, let's look at a few exceeding great and precious promises Job twenty two twenty nine. Job twenty two twenty nine. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is a lifting up, and he shall save the humble person. This is God's commitment to you. But whether it happens in your life or. Not, it's a different thing altogether. Allelujah, some ninety one, the popular sound. Some ninety one. Let's go to us three some ninety one, some ninety one. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the faller and the noisome pestilence. Next verse he says. He shall covert it with his feather, and on that his wind shall thou trust. His truth shall be your child and book club Verse five, thou shalt not be afraid. Hold on, It's time to confess. Now, thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night. Remember how you reacted when you had that dream. And yet there is such a promise in the Bible that you should not be afraid of the terror by night, nor the arrow that flied by day, nor for the pesileence. That walketh in darkness our darkness again. Nor for the destruction that wasted at noonday. Seven eight thousand shall fall by thy side, and ten thousand by. I don't know about you, but if I see one thousand people falling by my side, it will be a wise to just stand there. One thousand is too much, three or four is enough for you to run away. And yet the Bible these are no parables. The Bible says ten thousand by thy right side, body. Shall not call ninety. Only with an eye shall now behold and see the reward of the weekad allelujah, exceeding great and precious promises. Exceeding great and precious promises. Let's look at one last one, Job thirty six and verse eleven. Job Chapter thirty six and verse eleven. If they obey and serve him, they will spend their days in. This prosperity that many people are looking for. That people kill for, that people tell lies for the Bible is saying the secret. Is that if they obey and serve him. Now, most people don't read that FirstLine. They just jump to spend. I must spend by days in prosperity and my years in pleasure. Allelujah. So let me recap that the believer in Christ has been given all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. You are not about to be given. It is a spiritual reality. But because we exist in the body, are we together? We need to. Understand the spiritual system that translates realities to be true. Here and now. Remember my example on the check again, so you can carry that check all your life. For that check to become true, you need the bank a we together and probably your cat or your ATM. You see that now, So for the spiritual reality to be true in your life, there. Are other supporting tools that you need. Number one, you need the ministry of a teaching priest. You need the ministry of a teaching priest, a. Man a woman of God mandated with the responsibility of. Raveling and explaining. Scripture onto you the same way you hold the check. And as powerful as that check is, no matter the millions written there, you are the messy of the bank and an account officer. The account officer may not be as wealthy as you, but he is mandated with the responsibility of receiving that check and making a deposit through it to your account. And you ignore that account officer, you will stand there with that check only. As a potential all together the ministry of the teaching Christ. This is the reason. Why God plans us in the House of God in local assemblies. Such as this. You can imagine that thanks to the Man of God and thanks to this great Church, many people are having an opportunity to hear this now. And on the strength of what you are hearing now you will walk because graces will be released to work in keeping with what you are hearing, and then your life suddenly will change. Are wait together now. You will need the teaching priest Jeremiah three point fifteen. The assignment of a teaching priest or a pastor is found here very clearly written. And I will give you past us according to my heart, which shall feed you with what knowledge and understanding, knowledge and understanding. Medical people tell us that you are what you eat. Is that true? So if you are fed with quality spiritual knowledge and understand you will grow and be transformed to reflect the kind of spiritual meal that you yourself. That immediately implicates us. If you're a man or a woman of God here. This already is a challenge that we must stay with God to make sure and let and verify the. Kinds of meals that were serving God's people with. There is something called malnutrition. Is that true? Malnutrition means that you are having insufficiency of certain what they call it now balot, vitamins, minerals and all of that. And there is a way you can eat so much and yet you are not healthy because you are eating rubbish? Am I right on that? So that one is not lack of food, is that you are. You are eating, but so many out of the portion of what is useful is. Not even there? You can eat your way to the grave. Is that true? For such believers? The Bible says, ever learning and never coming to the knowledge of the truth. So you find its spiritual energy. Being around programs conferences, but you cannot measure. It against any constructive growth. Let me show you something here acts chapter twenty. Will read verse twenty, then will jump to twenty seven and twenty eight. This is a change to everybody. But since this doubles this morning has a charge to ministers of the gospel. I just tart to bring this to that anyone who is a true shepherd, a teaching priest, a man of God, a woman of God. In whatever ministerial capacity you occupy, you are mandated by God and by the oath of your office, to see to it that you bend over backwards, if need be, to serve God's. People with truth and light that builds them. Adds. Twenty two. And how I kept back nothing that was profitable onto you, but have shown you and have taught you publicly, and from house to house verse twenty seven. For I have not shunned to declare unto you the whole or all the counsel of God. The last verse, now, really you can stretch it from twenty. Eight to thirty two, But then the verse of emphasis, and for the sake of time, would just look at this is that take heed therefore onto yourselves and to the flock over which the Holy goals had made you overseers, What is the assignment to feed the Church of God, which he had purchased with his own blood, To feed the Church of God, not to play games, not to make noise, not to waste their time, to feed the Church of God, which he had purchased with. His own blood. Are we learning now that means every savage should leave you wiser, every savage should leave you brighter in the spirit, because when you it's impossible for light to dwell within you, and then you are darkness. No allelujah. If you cover, if you use your phone or a touch light, and you use any material at all and covert un lighted, that material will become enlightened. Because of the light that is arewing together. Now has that. Happened to you, that you cover material and then you light even if it's a dark material, it will be forced to glow. Because of the light that is within it. Why then, are many believers not able to work in the reality of these spiritual blessings, even it's true that in Christ we now have a new and living way. If it is. True that in Christ we have access to these blessings, that by them we demonstrate and we validate the reality of. This eternal life we have received, why. Do many believers, in spite of these first and true provisions, live defeated lives, live lives that do not represent the glory and the power the grace of God. Allelujah. Let me answer that, because. The truths of scripture need to be engaged with knowledge, with understanding, and with faith to deliver to the life of the believer. The truths of Scripture are not tended to is like a seed that has not been put in the ground. Don't worry about You're right, but just listen. We have great. Farmers here African Nigeria were farmers, were people who have an advantage of a good soil. Are we together? And how many of you know that no matter how pressures your seeds are, even if they've been genetically modified all the you know the advantages put there. Provided that seed is left in your hands, it cannot become a harvest. Am I right? It is the farmer's responsibility to pick that seed and plant it in a good soil. The parable of the solar teaches us that the quality of the seed alone does not determine harvest. It was the same seed that was put in four kinds of. Soils, Am I right? On that, yes, and it produced for some it proved. In fact, three of the soils it did not really produce anything sustainable. And then even among the good soils there were three kinds of results thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and one hundred fold. Allelujah. So the word of God is that good seed, but it's largely fallen on. Bad soils, bad ground. And you see for the soils that produce the Bible says they are those who heard and understood. It is understanding that makes the soil of your heart productive, understanding, not the presence of the seed. Understanding. Now, let me guide you through three steps that are responsible for converting spiritual realities and to make them manifest in your life. I guarantee you, by the integrity. Of Scripture that if you believe and understand what I'm about to show you, your life will translate for some of you within the shortest time. Possible into a sign and a wonder. You believe. That's amen. Number one, what do you need? What is the first step that is responsible for converting these blessings, converting spiritual reality to be true here. And now in the life of the believer. Number one, you need. The knowledge of the spiritual provisions that are available in Christ. This is the first thing you need. The knowledge you need to know the spiritual provisions that are available in Christ. You need to know to have. The knowledge of the spiritual provisions that are available in Christ. What has God said concerning you that is your responsibility to find out in Scripture, Genesis to Revelation is like a garden that gives you the liberty to walk through it and piece together all the vast promises, the blessings that have been apportioned to the saints in Christ. Teaching how to engage lights now number one. The knowledge of the spiritual provisions that are available in Christ, as touching your health, as touching Lord, ingimitations that have been afforded us in Christ, and through Christ, we will continue to endorse defeat perpetually in our lives. That means every believer must be on a journey satching out through scripture and of course through the ministry of the teaching priests. You need to know what is available in Christ. Almost everybody here, I. Presume, has been in a position where you are served a buffet allelujah, several meals, and you are at liberty to now choose any intelligent person who take a minute or two to go around and find out what is there so that you don't overload your plate with something and find out there is another compliment that can make the meal better. You are not in a hurry. Your plate is yours, your spoon is yours and sometimes you walk through it.
