About this sermon

Just like in nature, every season of life serves a purpose. Some are for planting, others for harvesting. And while some seasons bring joy, others challenge us and require patience to endure. In a powerful message, Dr. Oscar Williams draws a parallel between Israel’s story in Exodus 14 and the seasons we face in our own lives. He reminds us that, just like God showed up for Israel, He will show up for us. Too often, we suffer because we’ve overstayed in a season God called us to leave. Israel was meant to return to Canaan long before Joseph died, but they grew comfortable in Egypt’s prosperity. That comfort turned into captivity when a new pharaoh rose to power. But even in bondage, God heard their cry — and He still hears ours. Here’s the good news: No matter what season you’re in — whether by choice, delay, or circumstance — God sees, hears, and fights for His beloved children. You may be in a weeping season, but take heart: Seasons change. The key is to hold your peace and not give up. Just like God drowned Israel’s enemies in the Red Sea, you will soon rejoice on top of what once held you captive. Your Red Sea is not your ending — it’s your breakthrough. PRAISE BREAK: You’ve mourned long enough. God is not going to let you stay stuck in this season — He’s bringing you to the other side. It’s your time to dance on dead addictions, dead problems, and dead sicknesses. What you’ve been fighting in past seasons — you’ll never have to fight again. It’s your time to DANCE on dead things!
