#Victory #CitizensofHeaven #FaithIntheWild #Vote #Hope #JESUS #America SERMON NOTES ---PHIL.3:20-21---- ----Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, and not to mention the donkey in the room too— yes there is an elephant in the room, and a donkey, but more importantly there is a lamb who was slain for all- and he’s become the lion of the tribe of Judah & the cross stands above all... ----Before you’re an American or African or Brazilian or Canadian - you are a citizen of heaven As citizens of Heaven - we are part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken and that KINGDOM CALLS us to FOLLOW the WAY of CHRIST. Jesus says “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." (Luke 9:23) // JOHN 6:60-61,66-69 --JESUS WANTED PEOPLE TO COUNT THE COST- you still want to? You still want this? You sure you’re willing?- - I can’t promise you that you’re going to be able to keep you’re same friends- you might lose you’re popularity, your reputation, your old ways… -In Matthew 7:21-28 Jesus tells a large crowd that- on judgment day many will come to me and say they knew me-but I will say- depart I never knew you. Many have replaced information for intimacy. There’s a BIG difference between knowing about Jesus- and actually knowing Jesus- knowing about the healer, the savior, redeemer, and father- and actually knowing Him as YOUR healer, savior, father, friend… -Jesus was never interested in building a FAN-BASE. He was searching for followers- men and women who would commit for the long haul to follow Him. ----PHILLIPIANS 1:9-11, 15-21, 27-30 MSG VERSION--- live in a manner worth of Christ… ----Philippians 3:1 NLT, 3:15-19 MSG ---Matthew 7:24-27---WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING YOUR LIFE ON???
