Well, we are now answering our 14th question of the 42 questions that have been written me and asked to be answered by a very influential magazine. After I get through answering these 42 questions, don't you make out a list of questions yourself. and send them in because I'm not going to answer them. When I have finished these 42 questions, anything that you might ask will have already been answered, I'll tell you that. Because this reporter has not missed one. He has not missed anything. And so don't get the idea. that if you send a list of 42 or 50 questions, then I'm going to sit here and do the same thing for you. When my 42nd question is answered, that's it, my friend. I've had it. This is the 14th question. How have you overcome the disreputable cloud regarding faith healers? Has the self -confessed hypocrisy of Marjo affected you or your ministry in any way? Let's take the first part of the question. How have you overcome the disreputable cloud regarding faith healers? Well, confidentially, I don't think I have overcome anything because I do not put myself in the class with... faith healers. It's only the news media that has put me in that class. I am not a faith healer. I have never healed anyone. I never expect to heal anyone. I have no healing virtue. I have no healing power. I really do not believe that I have been given anything that's special or something that any Christian could have if they would pay the price of full surrender and yieldedness. I am not a healer. on the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit. In exactly the same way that when Jesus was here in the flesh and walked this earth, he was dependent on the Holy Spirit for the manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit in his ministry. And that was the reason that before Jesus ever came in the form of flesh, he offered himself through the Holy Spirit to be given. Jesus knew the secret of the miracles in his ministry. That was the reason that the Holy Spirit came upon him in a very special way when Jesus came upon the waters of baptism. And the Holy Spirit is the same today that he was then. That is the reason that the gift that Jesus gave to his church. was the secret of power. And he said, and ye shall receive power. After that, the Holy Ghost has come upon you. What power? The power to see miracles performed. The power of the supernatural. And when it comes to faith, I have... seen miracles performed. I have seen the healing of the physical body. Where there was no manifestation of faith whatsoever, the person admitted they did not believe. They were awed when they realized that they had been healed. And over and over again they have said, but I just can't believe it. I just can't believe that it happened to me. We have lost sight of the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, if we could come back again. To the mercy. We're living in an hour when the Holy Spirit is going beyond the faith. And again I say, if you and I have any faith whatsoever, it is not something that we have worked up. It is not something that we have struggled to attain. For the Bible says that Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. If you have any faith whatsoever, it is still a gift. Know that. A faith healer? No, my friend. I... only remind you how big God really is, that his promises are real, and that he will never fail to keep his word. Now we come to the second part of the question. Has the self -confessed hypocrisy of Marjo affected you or your ministry in any way? The answer is definitely no. I'll tell you something very confidentially. The Today Show phoned and asked me to be on a panel when the film was first shown. I considered it for a very brief time and then I called back and said I would decline to be on the panel defending My faith are defending this ministry. I'll tell you why. I do not believe that God's word needs defense. I do not believe that God needs any defense whatsoever. I do not believe that the son of the living God The true Messiah needs any defense. Oh, sure, there was a day when I was inexperienced and young in the ministry and a young Christian. I started out as a teenage girl defending my wonderful Jesus. I'd fight at the drop of a hat. Just say one word against Jesus. And I was right there, remember? I have red hair. Oh, I was a one army defending Jesus. But then after years of experience, I found out that he needs no defense. He'll defend himself. And when it comes to the Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit needs no defense. All that I have to do is to just be true and faithful in preaching the Word, and He will defend me. The fifteenth question. What is your definition of a miracle? How unusual must a phenomenon be to warrant that designation? Well, what a miracle may mean to you may not mean the same thing to me. If you turn the dictionary, Webster says that a miracle is an event or an action that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural causes, especially to an act of God. I remember one day coming out of Bullock's Wilshire store in Los Angeles. I'd gone in there to get a little something and I was rushing out of the store. when there were two little boys. I found out later they were brothers. Oh, not more than eight and ten years of age. And they were standing on the outside of the store selling candy bars. One came rushing up to me and said, Miss, Miss, would you like to buy a candy bar? Then he looked up into my face. Oh! And he said, Willie, Willie, here's the miracle lady. Here's the miracle lady. And I just stood there and smiled. And he continued by saying, you know, I had a miracle happen to me once. I had a wonderful miracle happen to me. And I said, what was it? Willie said. One day I needed a quarter, and I needed it all for bad. I had to have a quarter, and you know what? I was walking down the street, and there on the street was a quarter. And God had made a miracle for me. to the little boy in his life. That was a miracle. In the life of someone else, it may be the healing of cancer in that body. You've prayed. The medical profession said there's no cure. And then suddenly, in his tender mercy, He reaches down, and the supernatural happens, contradicting all known scientific laws. The supernatural power of God, an act of God, and to that one, that's as great a miracle as the little boy who found the quarter on the street. I believe that every time a baby is born, that mama has just given birth to a miracle. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? What do you mean by coming under the power? What is the biblical? Criterion for such an experience. This is the sixteenth question. I call it falling under the power. I do not know how better to describe it. I only know that I have nothing to do with it. Nothing whatsoever. Two questions I'm going to ask the master when I get home to glory. The first one is, Jesus, why wasn't everyone healed? I'd like to know. I don't have the answer to that question. And my second question is to have him tell me regarding the manifestation of the power of God, the slain power of the Holy Spirit. I have nothing to do with it whatsoever. I do not understand it. But I told you before that I will not accept anything except it is scriptural. It must be in the Word of God. And the part of this question is, what is the biblical criterion for such an experience? You've read it over and over again. You're familiar with it. The conversion of... Saul on the road to Damascus. Oh, I wish Paul were sitting right here and he could answer this question for me. You remember that suddenly something happened to him? All of a sudden, he found himself on the ground. Literally knocked to the ground. Fat on his back. I'm sorry I missed it. I'm just sorry I wasn't there. Oh, and he didn't have someone to catch him when he fell either. Me thinks he fell hard. Lying prostrate on the ground. So they had knocked him to the earth. But the Lord spoke and said, come on, get up. Get up, Paul. What happened? Open paw? Methinks his face would shine with the glory and he could not answer the question any more than I can answer it. Or literally thousands would experience the slaying power of the Holy Spirit. All that he knew was that it was a supernatural power. All that thousands can tell you today. is that it's a supernatural power. But oh, so peaceful. So wonderful. You're never quite the same again. Even though you do not understand the experience. Yes, it's in the Word of God. Paul experienced it. And you can experience It too. The seventeenth question. Do you have many healings from drugs, youth or adult? Remember, wherever the Holy Spirit is present, you will always have, first of all, the great miracle of salvation. That's the greatest miracle in the world. There is no greater deliverance than the deliverance from the power of sin, that new birth experience. When the Holy Spirit is present, there will always be the deliverance from sin, from habits. There have been those just sitting in the audience without hands being laid upon them who have been delivered from drugs. after having been on drugs for years, not only the youths, but adults alike. That, my friend, is the power of God. The 18th question. To what extent do you take medication yourself? When should one pray for healing and seek medicine? or conventional therapy. The question is asked, to what extent do you take medication yourself? I thank my God for His keeping power, and I believe that the fact that He keeps me in good health without medication is as great a miracle as though I had been healed from some disease. We take these things so for granted. If you do not have the faith to be healed, then, my friend, go and see the best physician there is. God heals in more than one way. We work very closely with the medical profession. All healing is divine, but God does not always heal in the same way.
