16. Signs of Disloyalty

Welcome to track #16 of the Road to Calvary. On Calvary Rd. all forms of loyalty and disloyalty are revealed. Amen. First of all, your faithfulness or your loyalty to God is revealed. It is revealed in times of, what do you call it, difficulty in times of, you know, struggle, in times of great stress. You will now begin to see what you are faithful to and what you are not faithful to. Are you listening to me? Are you understanding what I am saying? So it is important that you are faithful to God because in the time of loyalty or of testing, if you are loyal to the calling of God or not, it will be seen Amen. The next thing is that the loyalty of others will be seen Amen. Number one, you will see the loyalty of the, what do you call it, the loyalty of the different disciples. The first thing that even started the Calvary Rd. is the disloyalty of Judas. Judas initiated the whole episode. Is that not so? Then you will also find the loyalty of Peter was tested. Is that not so? He was forced to change his mind about what he believed. He said I don't know Jesus, I don't know his address, I don't know his house. I've not seen him before. It all came out on the Calvary Rd. Then we had the rest of the disciples, Thomas, Bartholomew, Mark, Matthew, Andrew, Simon, whatever. The other guys, they too, they were able to hold out, but just at the last minute point between the Garden of Gethsemane and then a few minutes after that, they scattered into the night. Never heard of them again. Is that not amazing? Then at the cross you see the last survivors on the Cauvery road and who do we find? Jesus favorites are there. Amen. Why do I say they are Jesus favorites? I think that if God likes you, He will show you visions. That is the sign that God likes you. Mercy. So if you don't have visions, pray for yourself. John 1925 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister Mary, the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene. And when Jesus therefore saw his mother and the disciples standing by whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, a woman, Behold thy Son. You know John is the one writing this, and he always refers to himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved. That's it. Matthew never talked about the disciple whom Jesus loved, but Don talked about himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved, and he found him standing by the cross. Is it not wonderful at the cross? At the cross where I first saw the light, we have Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary's sister, who was also called Mary, a wife of Cleophas, and then Magdaleno herself, Mary Magdalene. She was there live. And then you have John the disciple, whom Jesus loved. That's it. Now any time you see that expression where like God really loves the person you see, you find that person is someone who is into visions and dreams. Amen. Are you there? And I just want to in to Daniel, he told him after he had prayed for some time, he said, Let me read it to you, he said. And whilst I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning being caused to fly swiftly touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me and talked with me and said, Oh Daniel, I am come now. I am now come forth to give this skill and understanding. At the beginning of thy supplications, the commandment came forth, and I am come to show thee, for thou art greatly beloved. Therefore understand the matter and consider the vision. Because you are greatly, greatly beloved. God is helping you to understand the matter, and He's helping you to behold a vision. So Daniel was greatly beloved by the Lord, and he had all these extraordinary visions, which are more relevant today than ever before. The other fellow, which is this guy John, also had all these revelations which are found in the Book of Revelation, and you find him experiencing similar visions. Now God, I believe, rewards a certain kind of passion and interests by showing you things that others wouldn't normally see. Mary Magdalene, she's the one who had the open vision of the Lord, when she, the Lord, was so real that she thought he was the gardener, and she turned around, supposing he was the gardener. I found out that the vision was as a real human being standing there. All these people were rewarded for their loyalty. They were rewarded for what they had, for the loyalties that had been demonstrated. So on Calvary Rd. you know, is where you begin to see the difference between boys and men. And that's the difference where you begin to see the difference between the different loyalties of people. If you are walking on the road that God has planned and has given to you, you begin to see what do you call it Now the road of Calvary started with Jesus talking about it and that is where he said, you know, that is where the Lord said, you know, I am going to suffer and I'm going to die. Immediately Peter reacted and said, no, you will not suffer, you will not die. So immediately you you begin to see his level of spirituality just by what has been said. Are you listening to me? Yeah. So you find out that God's God, God's wrote for us, brings out the people who really believe in what you are supposed to do and not just the people who are flowing around because things are all working well at the moment. Are you listening to me? So As for when everything is going well, let's say you are in a church and you belong to the church and you are being paid by the church, and because everybody is getting a good salary and everybody is getting rich, then you have people flowing normally. But when there is a crisis, you begin to see where people really belong, where their hearts go, what they really think, what they really believe. Are you listening to me tonight? So it is very, very, very important that you understand what we are. We are, we are trying to teach you about loyalty. Loyalty is exposed as we start to go down the road of the sacrifice. Amen. Some years ago I had two pastors and the Lord spoke to me that I should speak a clear word to them and see what would happen. And what it is was that I initiated the road of Calgary because we were all working here in Akra happily. And I initiated the road of Calvary. And are you understanding what I'm saying? And I said, we are going on this road and this is where it ends. One of them said to me, well, I'm not so happy about it, but if you say that I should go there, I will go. The other one came and said just the next minute he went out and the other one came in and said, well, that place you are sending me to, I have worked there before when I used to work for this company and so on. So it's not a problem for me to go there at all. But anyway, I want you to know I've taken a decision that I'm resigning from the church. I said you are resigning from the church and said, Oh yeah, from now. I said OK, I see. So immediately initiating the road of Calvary brought out the different people. Are you understanding what I'm saying? Yeah, not so long ago, also a few years ago, I had some branches and I had somebody who was a pastor of a bigger church and there was this other pastors at the members. I decided to rotate the whole system and I said, you come here, you go here, you go here, you go here. So I rotated them and I said you go and start a church over here or go here. He had a big church. I said you go to start a church and let this person come be the pastor of the church here. Initially, he started going there to pass the church. I was in the house where I got the information that the brother says that he's resigning from the church and he resigned. Not only did he resign, but he started a church just near our church to form a receptacle. You get it to receive all people who would not be loyal to us. Are you understanding what I'm saying? Yeah. If you read the book on ministerial ethics, you will see that we teach that you should. If you start a church, even in even in medicine, if you have a clientele and you are going to start your own clinic after you've worked for somebody for a long time, you don't start a church just near the old church where you were. You understand because it creates a situation where the people become confused because we don't want to say anything bad about you. So it's like the people will be wanting, should I go to my old pastor or to the new pastor? And after I don't know this new pastor, I know the old pastor. Is it a good church also? And we don't want to say that it's a bad church. Do you see? So don't go and understand just next to us so that we have to tell the people, don't go here, keep coming here. So why shouldn't we go there? Because he's our old pastor. He's a nice guy, Do you understand? And then we now have to say, look, this guy, he did this, he did this, he did this. Watch out, mark him, avoid him. And so we don't want to say all that, but when you force us, we will have to say all those things. Are you listening to what I'm saying? So ladies and gentlemen, it is important that you understand that going on the road of Calvary, I tell you, brings out where your heart is, no matter the situation. Look, if we start to, if we start to say you go and be at this corner, you go and take a lower salary, you go and do this, you go and do that. Sometimes you have people that are paid a certain amount by mistake. You know, maybe the department has made a mistake and started paying the person. Then later you want to correct it to the real salary you understand and bring it down to the real salary that the person was supposed to be paid. You begin to initiate the road of Calvary and before you realize you are having a reaction. So remember this, the Calvary Rd. brings out the real attitudes, beliefs and feelings of most people. And so you can find out these things are becoming a reality when people have lived in a certain way. And then you start to initiate things. Then you begin to see just as we are having here, the pastor of this church I think is being transferred from here to here or whatever. Immediately it brings out the true rebellion that is coming up. Are you listening to me? So today I want us to know that loyalty is a subject that all of us must understand. We must teach it, we must understand it, we must talk about it. Are you listening to me? We must talk about it. We must understand it. We must say it. You understand if we are going to experience the blessings of God in our churches to me, I will tell you a fact to me, most people don't understand much about loyalty. And the evidence is that when people see a symptom or a sign of disloyalty or loyalty, they don't know it. They understand, let's say like I am a doctor and because I am a doctor and I practice medicine, I can see when some symptoms come up, but somebody who is not a doctor will never notice certain things. Now what I'm saying is that if you are a leader and the greatest problem for all, all our churches, for branches, for bishops, for people who are trying to expand. And especially in Africa where we have mainly settlements which are not big. And where we need to have churches in different, different, different locations. And therefore we need to have people at different set sites and settlements. And therefore we need people to work in different places, in a place like Africa or a place where we are now, where we do not have loyalty, then we are not going to be able to go very far, I tell you. And so if you are a leader and you don't understand loyalty, you are not a wise leader. So sometimes you have people making funny comments about loyalty and this like I would rather prefer to hear my dogs, but you know, my dogs can really disturb in the night so that they're back in. And so, but I'll prefer to listen to them back in than to hear, you know, some of the ignoramuses making funny comments about loyalty and disloyalty. It's because they don't know what they are talking about. And their ministries are evidence of it. Are you listening to me? So it is important for us to to really learn what loyalty is. And that's what I want us to understand this evening, loyalty and disloyalty. And I want you to become like a doctor. You see, if I see somebody who has gone to we, we and after the president has we weed, a lot of ants are coming to the urine. I will immediately think of diabetes. One day I was in the house with somebody. And he kept on getting up to go and urinate. Every few minutes he goes to get up to go and urinate and so on. You get it. I immediately began to think of certain diseases that he was always willing. You get it? If I'm sitting with somebody, the person is drinking a lot, all the time. Drinking, drinking, drinking. You know, certain things occurred to me one day. I saw a sudden Brazil. The person has not been well. And I look at his face. He looked very lean and he looked a certain way. I immediately felt there was, could be this, this or that. I meet somebody. I look at the person's eyes, they are yellow. Immediately I have certain things going through my mind, this, this, this or that. So as a leader, you must be able to, you must be able to know, you understand that this is a sign, this is a sign of disloyalty. It's a symptom. Watch it. Otherwise, you are not a good leader. Look, what do you think was one of the most important things for President Gufour when he came into power? It's security. Me. If I was a president, and I was, I was being guarded by soldiers. One of the things I would fear is that one of the soldiers in the room with me, do you see who is guarding me, can shoot me. If I was an airway, I would have only airway guards with guns. If I was an Ashanti, I would have only Ashantis, or unless I had known them for a long time, Kabila. He was shot in his room. He was sitting in his room and they shot him. They just opened fire on him and shot him, finished by his guard. Sadat, They shot him right on the stage. This the president of Chechnya, He was sitting on stage. The bomb, the bomb was under, under him. When they were building the stage, they just put the bomb under. That's it. One time I think Gaddafi came to Ghana, the hotel that he was staying. I went to the hotel to say that they came there, they went into the water system, they did their own water connection and threw the pipes and so many things they did before the man came there. Saddam Hussein, when he is moving, he can come with a convoy of nine cars exactly the same, and when the cars pass he is not in any of them. Then an ambulance will come and he is in the ambulance or they can hang a combo. Then he comes in a taxi and nobody will suspect that he is the one coming in the taxi. So he had various ways of escaping. So if you are a leader, there are some things you must know. And when you are a pastor, you must know all your work will be in vain because of Orangus and all your work will be in vain because of disloyalty and all your work. And me, I don't want to preach loyalty and disloyalty to people who don't want it. I want to preach it where it is valued and where the people know that there is something that we have to learn about loyalty and disloyalty. Are you listening to me? So as a pastor, right? How can I know that people's hearts are not with me? Because people are always smiling at me. You understand? They're always saying, pastor, that was a good word. Almost everybody who comes to the camp, if they meet me, they'll say we were really blessed by the camp, isn't it? But maybe there are, there's a spy here, maybe you are sent by the government or you are sent by somebody or you are sent by whatever and you are not really, I mean, coming to participate in the programme or whatever. Maybe you are in the programme but you are not really happy with the programme and so on. So how would I know? Because everybody I meet says nice things to me. So as a leader, how can I know? And one of the ways you can know, which you need to know so that you remove people who are problems. Do you understand the, the, the way to maintain a culture of happiness and harmony and loyalty is to do 3 things. I hope I will remember all the three. Number one, you sack people who are disloyal. There are three things. Number one is you sack them #2 is you teach about loyalty. You must teach about loyalty. Oh really? That should be the number one. Number one, you teach about loyalty #2 you suck them and #3 what do you do? You practice. You practice loyalty or you mark them. You mark and avoid them. Yeah, well, the north wind is also one, but there are many things. You practice it, you watch them, you mark them. So many things. And then you eventually sack them. You must learn to sack. Don't keep disloyal people for long. Once you know and you see. Why do I say that? You must sack them and you must, you must do that. Why do I say that you must know. Do you see? Turn with me to John chapter 6. OK, John chapter 6, verse 15, I am sharing with you about what I call how to detect disloyalty. How to detect disloyalty. Now the first question is why do you need to detect disloyalty? Because it's to destroy your ministry. And #2 Jesus was able to detect disloyalty. He knew they disloy our people all the time. Do you understand why do I say that? He was able to do that and He was doing it because in John 6 verse 59, the Bible says these things, said He in the synagogue as He taught in Kapennon. Many therefore of his disciples when they heard it said, this is a hard saying, who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, He said unto them, Now notice here Jesus knew that His disciples were memory and He knew it in himself. So you must know within yourself when people are memory against you, because Jesus knew when people were memory all right. Then he goes on and he said, does this offend you? What an if you shall see the Son of man ascend where he was before. It is the Spirit that quickness in the flesh progress nothing. The words that I speak unto, they are spirit and their life. The 64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believe not, and who should betray him. Again, Jesus knew the people who did not believe, and then Jesus knew people who would betray him. Amen. Passoku. I know some people who memory against me. I smile with them, I talk with them. But I know there are pastors who say nice even today. I have met some pastors who said very nice things to me, but I know that they don't believe me. I know. Don't be thinking if you've talked to me today, whether you are the person or whatever. No, don't think too hard. I know not that I'm not a small boy or whatever, I'm a small boy, but I have learnt certain things and I there are some things that I know. I know this person does not believe in me. In fact, even in churches these days, I have even learnt about churches where I am invited by. Sometimes when somebody invites you, he's not inviting you because of the word that you are going to minister, but he's inviting you sometimes as a figurehead or as a formality that you know is like, maybe if you invite me, then I also have to invite you or something. But not that they believe your message, they understand, and they have all sorts of funny comments and remarks to make when you come and when you go. So in fact, there are some places that if you invite me to go, I don't really want to go there. You understand, Recently, for instance, I went to a church, very, very big church. I was invited to preach there, but I knew that the pastor doesn't receive my message well. So when I preached there I was. In fact, when I preach, what did I even preach about? I preach and preach about something, the forgiveness. I mean something unrelated to what I normally would have preached. Then from there I was going to another church where they believed in what I was preaching. And when I went there they just, it was like a river that has been open and I just flew. And those who were with me, I said, I asked them, do you know the difference between the two places? I said, one, it was as though you were at home, just ministry. In this other place, it was quite different. I said, yeah. And if it's not like that, I myself have decided that I will not. At first I will try to miss, but it doesn't work out. But now I myself decide that I won't flow. Yeah, I decide that I won't flow because I know you don't believe if I do go. And in fact, I shouldn't even go. I'll try not to go because I can see that you don't believe in what I'm saying. Not that in what I'm saying, but you don't really fully receive my ministry. Jesus knew his disciples were memory, He knew those who did not believe and He knew those who would betray. 3 things in five verses. You see, He knew those who were memory, He knew those who did not believe, and He knew people who betray him. So how come you as a pastor and as a leader, you are not able to know those who don't believe, those who member and those who will betray you? There are people that I have sent to places. I know that there are some way. I have already decided I am going to take this person here. I'm going to do this. They will. They will not have to know. When it is time to do it, I'll do it. So it is important for you as a pastor and as a leader to learn loyalty and disloyalty. Don't make fun of a message that is the most anti demonic message in the whole church. I'm telling you this is the message that is fighting against the delusions and deceptions. Can you see? Is it occultism which has attacked the biggest church in Accra? Is it occultism? Is it witchcraft? It's a, it's a, it's a lack of knowledge and understanding of this that is destabilising the largest congregation of God's people. God's people are not supposed to be divided into nationalities. If you start that kind of thing, it never ends. You are sick and you are bringing about a false spirit into the church. There are things that Nigerians have that Ghanaians do not have in ministry and there are things that Canadians have that Nigerians do not have and we all need one another. God is a funny God. The country which is seen as the most corrupt nation and in fact, many places, if you mentioned that you are a Nigerian, it almost starts to ring bells of corruption. But he's using them to build the largest churches in the world, the largest churches, the largest church building in the world, largest church in the world, largest church in Europe, largest church in England, largest church everywhere. This is like you have to receive it from them and there's nothing you can do about it. Is it not marvelous? It's stupendous. There's nothing you can do about it. So it is important for us to be humble, don't follow stupid, so-called nationalistic, whatever racism you are bringing racism back to the church, something that is not there. So as a leader I have to know. Recently I wrote a letter to somebody who has rebelled against me. I told that you before you let the church, 'cause I, I was with my person. And as I told him, this person, he's a rebel and he will rebel against me. He just played it like act in a film. I knew it. And I said most of the people who have rebelled again, I knew they would do it before they did it. And I would say it to somebody. So that you, I have a witness that watch this person, watch him. And there are people in my system now. I'm watching. Oh, yeah, I'm watching them already. Oh, yeah. A good leader must know when his disciples are memory. A good leader must know when they don't believe what he is saying. They are you are saying that they don't believe. A good leader must know when they will betray you. I told their brother. I said what you didn't know is that I knew that you were going to rebel against me. You didn't know. And I told, I said this because I had AI had a dream, and I had a voice, a voice that said to me this a word that's maybe not this person is a rebel. And I got up in the morning. I said, this is what this person is going to do more than one year before the person did it. Yeah. So you must learn it. And if you don't have a vision and you don't have a dream, you must learn the same things and be an ordinary pastor like myself and use certain symptoms and time to see the watch this person, learn it, learn it. It will help you so that you can pastor people you don't see. There are people I don't see, I don't talk to, but I know that they are. So I don't even see them. I don't talk to them, but I know that they are. So I have my own way, without vision and without revelation. If you want to have a branch, you need loyalty, understanding. Instead of laughing at the message or saying something foolish that sounds less important than a dog barking at a fellow dog in the next house, decide to learn. Because Jesus knew when his disciples murmured, He knew when they didn't believe, and he knew when they were going to betray him in the future. He knew all about Judah. Do you think Judas betrayed him? They allowed him today. He tried to stop him. He tried very hard to stop him, but Jesus wouldn't listen. Are you listening to me? So, ladies and gentlemen, it's a very, very important message. And so I want you to look, if you have this book on loyalty and disloyalty, and I want us to go to a chapter on signs of disloyalty, OK? And you see where Jesus also survived, says in John 224 And Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, and he needed not that any should testify of man Amen. Amen. Another place he says, for neither did his brothers believe in him, Amen. Now one of the signs, I'm going to give you several signs #1A person who disappoints you in time of pressure, a person who disappoints you in time of pressure. Amen. One day I had a brother when we were being attacked in our church and we were we were under a lot of pressure and I wanted to go to the AMA with some people who live in the area so that the Metropolitan Authority will know that there are people in the community who believe in what we are doing. So I said to them, let us meet me there. And when I got there, my people who live in the community did not come, huh? They were not there. And rather the other side had brought about 25 or 30 people. And here I was with nobody, huh? And these were leaders, people I was training to be pastors. Watch such a person. Later on, I had a letter with one sentence In the letter, I resigned from your organization. Were you surprised? You should not be surprised. A person who disappoints you in time of pressure. Watch the person when you are having a crusade and it's like we need people to do this and that is the time that you are disappointing us. We have to watch you carefully. When there is a crisis, when everybody is needed around, people are needed to do things. That's the time that it's like you become funny and you start to behave in a certain way. One of the things that almost changed my heart towards certain people was when we were under attack. I personally was under attack. And then I watched as we were approaching our election because I knew where everybody voted and how everybody was voting. Because one of the things I'll do, I'll sit down and ask who you who you are voting for. And I noticed as I saw people who were with us when we were being attacked and when we were being attacked, almost killed by pastors. And then you see that as time is going on, they are not with you and they are supporters of such a government against you that is like you came to kill our father but you were not able to succeed. So want you to come and try round two and see if you can finish him off. And in time of pressure, then you begin to see where people really are and how their hearts are with you. I tell you, for me it was an eye opener and I came to see how many of my pastors were not with me. I just watched all of them. I said, oh I see I will lay down my life for you, but you will not lay down your life for me. I have seen I so I tell you election opened my eyes and I even began to see at the point that tribe, the loyalty to tribe is stronger than even your loyalty to church in some cases. Watch people. When pressure and issues come, just watch them. You see? That's when the Calvary cross came back. You see people moving. This one's going here. Peter is moving here, Thomas is here, and you see John. John is standing there. You see Mary Magdalene. Have you ever wondered why it was Mary Magdalene that Jesus appeared to? What's the people when there's financial pressure, when there's crisis, when there's whatever it is now that you see the real members of the church and the people who understand what loyalty is? Oh, yeah, me, I watch all these things and I see. And you have to learn it. If you are a leader, watch them. Watch them. The next one is people who disappoint you when they are under pressure. It's like when the pressure comes to them, they will leave you sometimes financial pressure, family pressure, pressure from here, pressure from there. The person is about to leave you. Just a little stress. The person is. And it's like, oh, my wife was this, so I couldn't come. My, this was that. So I couldn't come. I didn't have money. So this, my, this and that and so on. Hey, watch how people respond under such circumstance. Then you begin to see that this person, you should watch him because you see, if you take, even during the elections, you see that some people, their jobs were under fire. If the government changes so immediately, you see that as soon as their financial situation is a little under pressure, they will choose the money rather than the church. So that's why I say that if there is a coup or there are rebels and so on, I should get up from my church and come from from my house to come to the church, to come and preach to people who are not even their hard scar, are not even with you. I won't come. If they are fighting, they should fight. I'll be in the house. When they finish, I'll come. Amen. Are you listening to me? Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth and a person out of joint. When we are under pressure, we always have to watch how we behave. Hallelujah. The next thing is watch somebody who has a lot of moral weaknesses. You see, the person is always sleeping with someone, doing these immoral things and so on. And the person, because you'll find out that that person is sometimes in rebellion against God already, because a destroyer person is in rebellion against God. So somebody with persistent morale of falling into sin or falling into a gatta, everybody can fall into a gatta, but I'm talking about somebody whose life is moral, whatever, because in the end he would turn against you as if you are the one who is doing something wrong. Sometimes pastors are rebuked and then they leave the church and they say all sorts of things leaving the church. This pastor hears this and that and that and so, but actually what it is is that they are having their moral weakness and they don't want to correct it and they don't want to tend towards God. So you watch them. Watch them before you be surprised what the person will say about you. So when you have a member of your team and you find out this person, he's constantly living this kind of life, what you'll be surprised. The person will make up a story about you because he knows that you know his issues. So before you also talk about him, he will also create something about you. Do them before they do you. And also they have to give an explanation. The next one is you want somebody, a pastor who has financial weaknesses, like he's a thief or he has a problem with money. What's such a person? You see, whenever somebody has a problem, he tends to, in self-defense, accuse people in advance before you. You you'll be surprised that such people with financial, I mean, it's like he can't control money. There's always some problem with money. And so such a person can easily turn on you and they do it in self-defense. Before you can speak, the person is saying, look, you, you see, you are always speaking on me. You see, I've realized that I've not accepted the church because I'm not a graduate. Or I've realized that I've also accepted the church because you only treat guns like this or the church is made-up of mainly fanties, always drinking tea in the church and so on. And you come up with various theories. That's not the case at all. And the problem is that you have a problem with money, but before the money issue can be brought up, you have to accuse somebody about something, spill out something, say something, and then do whatever you want to do to cover up. Watch out for people like that in the chest. You got somebody constant. How did you say? I remember one guy in our chest, I mean he came from another church and the church he came from, I didn't even know his background. He was the womanizer, sleeping here saying this, doing that, whatever. When he came to our church, when we got to know a little about him, the next thing I saw he had left and he was saying all sorts of things about me and I said this guy rather look at what he is saying. But you see they do it out of self-defense. They do it to sort of spray and just smoke in the air to confuse everybody. And you'll find out that you'll find out that they will be disciplined. Then they'll leave the church saying the pastor is using this money. This you are just trying to create something. And that's why I said that. You watch people who accuse a lot. It's an evil spirit. Watch people like that. You just watch these people and you see that they were a person. That's why sometimes somebody with a lot of financial distance, so on. If you don't take care and you don't put a person at the right place and you will put a person in a position and turn the person into an Orangu, you'll be surprised. A good person will turn into an Orangu right before your eyes. Watch it. And in their poverty they will point their fingers. You see, because I work for you, that is why I'm poor. No, no, no, because you don't look after money. Well, that is why you are poor and you say look at me and look at you, look at me and look at you, look at me and look at you. You don't look after your money well. You don't know how to manage your finances well. It is your problem with that. If you are be even working at the bank or here or here, you would be even poorer. You won't have anything, but because of your behaviour with money, you, you, you now have something to say. And you say because I work for the job, look at my situation, look at my condition, look at my house, look at my car. Oh, when you were working for yourself, where were you? Where were you when you were working for yourself? What's somebody with financial he has problem with accounting, money problems, discounting money, accounting for things showing, stealing, little bits of here and there. Watch that person carefully. It's a sign. Don't put him through too much before you turn him into something else #5 I'm going to #40 so we are going a long journey. Pastors or people who are worldly. The Bible says for Demark has forsaken me, having loved this present world. He forsook me because he loved the world. If you have a pastor who really loves the world, he loves money, he loves films, he loves watching films, pleasurable things. And you send such a person on a Calvary Rd. when The thing is going as he is going to sacrifice, he will really, he will get to a point and say no, I can't stop this, I can't go. Then he will tell and say look at him. You see he pretends his God. He is full of pride. He says this and that. Look at what he has done. He is a thief. He said that. He said whatever, but it's actually your worldliness they are trying to protect or to get more money or to get whatever. Pastors, you shouldn't just spend all your time watching television. Television, if you haven't heard it before, I'm telling you, don't spend all your time and all your life watching television. You just watch television from morning to evening, morning to evening. What is that? Are you a man of God? How do you have so much time to watch television every day? It's a very bad thing watching television. Eating. Sleeping. Your appetites are just guiding you, so as soon as somebody says do this and it's against your appetites, then you start to react and say hey, no, I don't want that. Are you listening to me? So watch somebody. I vote to you, if you send somebody abroad to England, America, Germany and the person likes television, money, nice things, looking things and one day you have to transfer the person from Germany to Nigeria to just Plateau. And the person likes gleaming, glittering. Shimmering, glistening things. Do you think he will go? He will get up and say, you see this guy, he is taking all the money here. Monkey de well, Babu de Chop, he comes here to collect all the money. He's this, he's that. He's like this. You see, we knew him when he started, he was humble. But later on he has changed. His heart has changed. You see, now he reads second book. He doesn't read the Bible. He's this. And oh, we have heard all this before. You are like a puppet which is repeating, or a parrot which is repeating. The same words. This thing that you see, you can just copy. Look what you see with the papers that they gave us. Copy the words you will hear. It again with another church. Copy it somewhere, use exactly photocopy. There's no new method, but it works. I don't know why sector use the same method and it works every time seta. Mohi flows with the easy photocopies. Oh. I don't know why Christians don't want to flow with photocopies. The next 1A. Disloyal person. What's? Somebody who thinks he can do what you are doing better than you are doing it if you have an associate. Pastor or let's. Say a resident pastor and you travel. You leave the church with the person and the person as he is pastoring the chair, he is thinking to himself that I am better at pastoring this chair than my Bishop. As he is moving around and. As his I am a better preacher because people clap more when I preach. People laugh more when I preach. You know there is joy when I preach. One day I'll. Just over here I met a. Certain pastor and I said, where is your senior pastor? I asked what are these big churches? I said, what is your senior pastor? He said, oh, he's traveled the way he said he's traveled. I said if he's traveled, then he's traveled, so he's traveled. So I said anyway, how is? How? How is Church? Oh. Then he whibbies and I said there is joy, he said. He said when he travels, when my general Vasia travels, there is joy. In the church there is liberty and the Spirit is moving, but when my general overseer comes back, people are annoyed. And when he comes back, people are annoyed. Everybody said there is. Joy. There is liberty, the spirit is moving. When when he comes, people are annoyed. This assistant pastor talking to me, when I heard him talking, I said my goodness, my goodness. And that says nobody had heard of anybody breaking away before. I said this man market is the end of these people. It was just. A matter of time. Before he did this similar type of thing in the church some years ago, openly, he said sign. You just have to. Watch it, you see it will happen. It didn't happen that day. It didn't happen the next month. It took a few months, but it happened. No, I don't think even a year came to pass. And then when you. See them, they have things to say the. Guy made me say this man. He said he doesn't read the Bible anymore. He doesn't read the Bible. He reads what you call these books, leadership, whatever book. He doesn't read Bible anymore. He gave me one of them, but I will never read that book. He told me I will never read that book. I will never read that book. Watch people that you are you that when. You are an assistant. It must not be in your head that I am better or I can do it better than my, my, my, my pastor. You must rather say I am an unwedy. Sir. I'm not ready to stand in the shoes of this person, of this great person who has left his church with me. Now that as you are there, you steal the hearts of the people away and you let them feel that you are the next man of God and you are the latest man of God. That God has sent it to the system. And that is due to certain things that you are quoting to this man that actually you are supposed to have your own ministry. I met somebody outside my gate. And he was telling me, he said, you see, we will, we will, we will all have been senior pastors, general overseers. That is due to. Certain things, you know, just certain things that you know, we are just where we are. I've decided to just submit. But war BT senior pastors. Hey, such a person is your assistant. Look at his thinking. Then you can see them. You think you can do it better than I? Can do you think you can? Do it better than your senior pastor. You are in the choir. Your choir leader is singing and leading the things. I could do it better than he could do. The person is saying I can do it better than he can do. The day will come when we will see whether you can do it better. Don't worry at all. Amen. Listen, a person. Is doing what he is doing. Not because. He is the. Best person to do it but. Because God has. Set him. Bible says God has set some in the church. Venehin is not. The best preacher. But God has put him there. It's not by thinking you are better. The fact is that. God has set. Somebody there, God put him there. No matter who you are. God put him there. No matter how daft he is and how foolish he is and what you think should be happening, God has the God is the one. So I may be. So I may not preach the way you think. I may not be so powerful like you think. Oh God, I'm the one who has put me there. That's it. And maybe if you were the leader, it would be far better. But I'm the one that God has put there. So stop thinking foolishly. The Bible says let each esteem the other better. Better think of the person better than you. Somebody is married. The pastor is married to his wife. And you are thinking, if I was the wife, it would be better for me. Is it a good thought? Not a good thought. You are praying for the pastor's wife to die. If only she would die so that I can have a chance. Most good men when their wives. Die or most men when they if your person is of a certain they don't want to marry again, you may be surprised you know I've met 7. They don't. They don't even. Like they don't even I I was abroad recently. I took a settlement, took me out. He's a pastor. I've been a pastor for seven. His wife died. He said, oh, I said, how many years is he? Oh, some years. I said, are you know, are you going to marry against him? I'm OK. I'm. OK, you are praying. For her to die you are taking see. Leader who is prepared to. Attack his own father or senior in ministry. Any kind of person you see who is prepared to attack his father, even his natural father. What such a person you attack your own? Natural father you. Attack your father. Maybe you come and join my church, but your father from the other church you belong to, you are prepared to attack. Him to talk about him. To criticize him. You are a dangerous person. What such a person? When you see some people, don't be so foolish as to welcome them to your church. Welcome them to be. That's why I said a lot of people don't understand this, but some of the decisions they take, you can see they don't understand anything about loyalty because the person who you are welcoming to be your associate, welcoming to be your assistant pastor. Listen to him carefully as he's talking about the place he came from and what he's saying about the place that he came from. I don't like such things and such a person. You are welcoming him to work for you, you should immediately. Know that it's a bad sign. It's a bad sign he's prepared to attack his father. How come? How come you are prepared to speak? Negative things if you came from witness Chaplier, tell me to tell me negative things. Our vision before I. Remove my tear gas, will you? Run away from here. Before I remove my tear gas to spray, you will run. Away from here. You are coming to tell me you want to leave Central? Gospel Church and come and work for me and say that you see one you, you. I say this thing is a sign of this. Don't take such a path. Even though he looks good, he looks clever, he looks powerful, he looks like he will be a good worker, a good assistant. Don't take such a person. It's just a matter of time. The person will rise up against you and will scatter everything that you have built and will neutralize your work for many years. What's what people say about the places? They have been and. Where they've been working, just listen to them when they have never heard loyalty messages. When they come around, you listen to how they talk. I used to. There are places that I have. Been to you. If you have been here, listen to me preaching. You hear me mention Carvery Rd. What do you call it, The action? Bishop Duncan Williams? Did you hear me say negative things about that? Did you hear Jesus say negative things about John the Baptist? He said there is no one greater than him. I used to be in his church. Watch the sign. If you want to be a leader, watch somebody come from NDC to MPP. He comes and he says. No, that party they are. Full of this. NDC is full of corruption. It's full of this, it's full of that. So because of that, I've decided to come here. You know, I like the leadership of President Kapoor. And you see this other, what you call it, this was like this. So because of that, you know, I've come to see the leadership of MPP. Oh, it's only when you are an immature Motia leader that you cannot see Motia. You cannot see that this man is a liar. He's a thief. He's a corrupt person. You are the next person. And you see politics, they do it. One day I met somebody, an MPP man, and I said, how, how are the elections coming at this election? He said, you know what he said to me said, oh, success has got many children, but failure is an orphan. It's a proverb. So as I was going, I was thinking about what does he mean? Because he said, oh, now a lot of people want to stand as MPP candidate for here, MPP candidate for here, because MPP is winning. So success has got a lot of children, but failure is an orphan. I am sure NBC cannot find people to stand as certain places for the election because they know they will lose if you are standing. NBC candidate at Bantam. How can you win? If you are an invasive man, you should be afraid of Goddess that. You won't get any point. In Second Samoa, Chapter 16. Verse 11 The Bible says Behold my son Absalom seeketh my life my. Son Absalom seeketh my. Life my son Absalom seeketh my life. My son Absalom seeketh my life. My son Absalom. Behold my son Absalom seeketh my life. My own son is seeking my life. You watch television, you see Absalom seeking the life of his father. You listen to the radio, you will see Absalom seeking the life of his father. It's in the Bible. Know when the scriptures are being fulfilled. Behold my son. Absalom, my son. I brought him forth, I appointed him, I helped him, I bless him, I look after him, I profile and behold my son Absalom. He seeketh my life and there are people to follow him. Watch such a person. Anybody Look. Watch. What anybody says, even the workplaces. One day I met a guy say I'm working at the forest Bureau and the man is no good at all this and that and that. So the next thing I saw he was working, he has let the forest was working at the pharmacy and he was working at the pharmacy post and said the pharmacy owner, he's like this, it's like this, it's like this, like this, like that. Then he left that place and said where are you working? I said computer place. After some time, this place is no good that I said. Then he wanted to come and work and I said I don't like you, I'm afraid of you. Forest Bureau is no good. The pharmacy is no good. The computer, what do you call? And then they check. How would they check me? Why should I check you? I've seen enough time to know that you must never work for me. Behold, my son. Behold, my son seeketh my life. You are not afraid of such a person. He's a killer of his own father, a critic of his own father. Now you are calling me a cat leader after I've appointed you as a pastor. Nobody knew you as a pastor. One day I had a certain brother. And this brother, he became a pastor. And when he became a pastor, I met a certain Bishop, and the Bishop said to me, hey, when I heard that you had made this guy a pastor, I said, Doug, he's doing science. And wonders. He said. Because this guy there are problems. That he has and how his life is and so on, I said. Doug, he's doing science and wonders. This guy upon whom I have done science and wonders, today he calls me a cult leader. Who? Somebody even says that it is actually. Science and wonders for me to have been able to make him into a pastor, he said. When they heard and said this guy's a pastor, he said. Hey Doug, he's doing science and wonders today. He's sending me documents. To show me that Lighthouse is similar to a cult, I said. Wonderful. Behold, my son, secret my life. Behold, my son's secret, my life, one of my sons. He said he will write a story about me. He will write. He said to me, I will drive you out of Accra. That's what he told me. I will publish. I sent somebody to him. He had some tapes or something. I sent somebody to him, He said, he said, and he will never give those. He will not give those. He will not give what I said, and I will drive you out of this town. That's it. Behold, my son. Absalom secret my life. And such a person is becoming your assistant or is coming to work for you. I I pity you. You don't only only you don't know. You are ignorant. Is that a matter of time? Do you seek my life? What have I done to you that you are now seeking my life? You seek my life now. Thank you. Thank you, May. God say thank you. To you, for me. Behold my. Son Absalom, second son was 16 verse. 11 The next one a sign You must never forget this sign, a wounded person, somebody who has been. Demoted somebody. A wounded person who has not recovered. Most people who have become rebels have been wounded before Absalom. He hated Amnon because he forced his sister Tamar. Absalom's real sister Taman was raped by Amnon. Second Samuel 13, verse 22. All right, the Bible. Tells us clearly. That in the last days many shall be offended and shall betray one another. Any time you see somebody who has been offended, know that the next thing he can do is that he can betray you. Sometimes somebody you. Have to rebuke all the time. That's why sometimes I don't like to rebuke people. I would rather move you away so I don't have to. Because every time you keep being rebuked, you can be hurt. Always. Correcting you always. Rebuking you always. Rebuking you because hurt, when they grow and they don't get cured, it leads to a festering wound and you can be cut off one day. When my wife was pregnant, we went to the. Doctor and I saw the daughter was wearing sleepers like mine, and I saw that his toe was off, his big toe. So I said to him, Sir, where's your toe? Sir, where's your? Toe and he said he's in. Saudi Arabia. He was in Saudi. Arabia when he knocked his. Foot against a table and because of diabetes, See diabetes. When with diabetes the wounds don't get healed, the rebuke never goes away. The demotion, you never forgive that thing that they said, it never goes out of your heart. So the thing never dies. So it never died. And they were going to cut off his leg, but they tried. They said we will cut only the two and see what will happen. And when they cut the two, it got healed. How did he lose that member, that church member? The 2 heck heck that never got healed made? Him. Lose that. Member, that pastor, that leader, how did he lose the member? By what hurt? That never got healed? The toe was removed. That's what happens when you are hurt. Let. The hurt. Go. That's why I was telling you one of the foundations of ministry, Forgive. I spent a lot of time talking about it because it's one of the chief platforms for disloyalty. Watch a person who is offended. About something. I was hurt when you didn't do this. I was hurt because you didn't do it. I was hurt because this and that from this guy, what he said. I've taken it like that, only I can't. Whatever this and that and that. This church, they don't like this and that. They don't accept this. They don't like this, they don't like that. Watch all those people who always have things in them. They see them quietly looking. Watch them so me when I rebuke somebody or when there's some issue. With someone, I'm always watching the person to see whether the day has gone. Because if it doesn't go, it's a bad sign. It's a bad sign. So in your churches watch the people when you deal and that's why most of us are afraid to deal with people when you deal with other person. So you are telling me that? This and that and that. You are trying to do this. OK, OK, we'll see. It's OK, no problem. Today you are calling me Lucifer, right? OK, watch a person who is hurt, wounded, he can easily leave the church. Amen. Was the first sign. The person who does what in time of pressure #2 #3 Person with moral weakness #4 Person with financial weakness #5 A wealthy person, number six. Somebody who does what? He thinks you can. He can do what you are doing better. Next one. A person who. Is prepared to attack his own father or senior next one a wounded person who has not recovered #9 a person who is not to. Be prepared. To be trained. To be trained, Yeah, If I'm. Having a camp meeting and I have. Somebody who is not prepared to come and sit down for me to train him, watch it, watching carefully. Watching. Just watching I. Having an exam, the person is not prepared to do the exam. Watch the person carefully. Oh, yeah, it's just, it's very simple. It's a simple formula. Watch them. I am teaching you about. The work of the. Ministry. You belong to my church and you are supposed to be there. You don't come and even when you come cry your attitude in some way. It's like a person who is not prepared to be trained or re trained. Maybe you've come from another chest and we are trying to retrain you how to be a proper part of the chest. You don't want to be part of it. Watch it. That's why I have the records of all the exams that people. Have done some have not done any exam, some don't want to do the exam. I have and I use it for various things. I'm doing an exam one guy. Was doing an exam. He was announced. What are all these exams? The people are tired, they are going to work and so on. What are all these exams? Today? That guy has rebelled against me. Watch people who they don't. Want all the training? And so on. Because the fact that somebody submits himself to be training, submits himself to be taught. It's a sign that the person is humble, it's a sign that the person is flexible. It's a sign that the person is being led by you when you are not. Prepared to be trained or. Retrained from the old church you came from. Come and be retrained and. Relearn all the. Things you've ever known because there's something new to learn. Somebody will not come and sit down for you to teach him and train him. Watch that person. What do you think? Is it a good? Message. Is it an easy message to understand how many can see that what I'm saying is very, very, very easy? Yeah, in my book I've written. I have given up trying to retrain. Nice people from other churches. The next one, somebody who is. Not prepared to do menial jobs? Let's say you send a person. Go here, stand here, sit here, sweep here, carry tables, carry chairs. The person is not prepared to do such things. Watch such a person. These people have a problem with pride. Pride is something that is worrying them. And because pride is worrying them, you understand, one day the pride may manifest. And when the pride manifests, you will see it coming out. It's not prepared to hold a chair. It's not prepared to sweep. I'm telling you something. If it's not a problem, if all of you go, I can pack all this place myself. It's not a problem at all. I can pack all the chairs here myself, cry, it's not a problem. I don't have a problem. With doing it, it's not a problem. How is the problem for you? You are so big, you can't do this. You can't do this. You're so big, man. You're some. I mean, what are you are nothing. But what's happening? You can't correct them. You can't train them. You can't teach them. You can't do anything. Watch such people. You are not prepared to do menial job, you understand? Oh, no, she's a menial job, you understand? Menial job. Job. Which is like a low job. It's like you always have to do something big. Look at me. I drive myself. I don't have a. Driver. I drive myself. I do many things for myself. I mean, what, what, what is this big shot is a big shot of what are you a lot of flies? Or a lot of cockroaches. Or a lot. Of of ants or a lot of flies? What are you a lot of? You are a master of who come. Down from your mighty horses. I say, Come down from your mighty horses in the church, watch people who are not prepared. One day there was a certain brother. I called him to do something. We were in church. Then I said to him, I said, come go and run and get whatever. So he came to me quickly. Then he turned on to Then he realized that he was in charge, that he told me that he stopped, that he just he made air. Then he just came. When I saw that slow motion, I said. No, this guy, I have to watch him. He's so conscious of the people. He started to run and he saw the people that he stopped. It's like you must look very dignified all. The time today, that guy has left the church, I said. He has left the church. Today. The science he's not prepared to do miniature run and get this go and do this and I was giving you the example that of yesterday. I was saying that Doctor Brown, that almost a professor, doctor, doctor. He will sit here, he will be taught, he will be retrained at his age, the head of community health department at the recent he taught people's wives and other people here, he trained them and we are not prepared to do menial jobs or to be retrained. We are not. Prepared to do menial. Jobs. What's these people? I am telling you, I'm a pastor for some years. Watch them mark it. It's a sign. Just as when you are a doctor, you have to learn the science. When you feel this and you feel that, when you see this and you see that, when you feel that, you feel that. It's a sign. We use it to diagnose. We use it to treat. Watch it. As most of us are useless leaders, we don't understand the basics about some of these leadership things and then we'll be. Criticizing Jesus said in Luke 22 verse 27 I. Am among you as he that, serveth. I am among you as he that. Serveth. I am among you as he that serveth. I am among you as he that serveth. I am among you. As he that serveth, is it not marvellous? Except you become as little children. You shall not enter. Amen. The next one. A person with a. Persistently stormy marriage. What such a person? The Bible. Says you should have somebody who is a leader, one that has rules, his own house. Well, Amen. Somebody who rules. His house? Well, the next one number 12 leaders who are irritated every time you correct them. It's a sign any time you correct him. Any time you talk about something, any time you say you are not happy about something, he is irritated, he is angered. Why? When you are corrected or you are rebuked, you should not be. Angry, you should say you are right. Forgive me. Watch people who get irritated and it's like they are difficult to correct, difficult to have meetings with, difficult to say something. It's like they are. It's like what? What again is it? What is it? Why what again? It's like you are so difficult to move them around. Better is a poor and wise child than an. Old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. Ecclesiastes 4, verse 13 the very. Fact that the person is. Irritated should tell you that he will not fit into your organization. Amen. The next one. A person who gives excuses, always. Giving excuses watch people who. Always have excuses. Find people who don't give excuses. But who find solutions and work with such people? The person tells you this, it can work. Not arguing it can work. This person has done this. This person has not done that, this that that. Oh, Saul was. Arguing with Samuel. I've done it, I've done it. It's like this. It's a God said I've rejected you. Too much arguing. But David, when David was confronted about the adultery set under one under one. We have two types. Of pastors David pastors. And Saul pastors as I'm preaching. Some of you are arguing with my preaching. In your minds, you are. Arguing with my preaching in your mind. The Spirit of Saul. Is upon. You #14 a person who does not keep promises #14 is. A person who does not keep. Promises. Watch out for people who make proposals to Young. Ladies to marry them. And only disappoint. Them after a few months. Watch out for such people, Amen. I said watch out for such people. A person who does not keep promises, Bible says he that sweareth to his own head and changeth not. Psalm 15, verse 4, Amen. You must keep your word. And a person who does not keep his word to somebody does not keep his word to God when he says, I, I believe in you. I I am loyal to you, I will follow you. How do you know that it's true? It doesn't mean anything because the person is not following it. Amen. The next one, a person who is vying for promotion wants to be promoted all the time. Amen? Watch out for such a person. A person who wants to be promoted, needs to be promoted, wants to have position. I remember one guy, we just hinted him that we were going to appoint them as pastors. Then he went to the people. We had not yet appointed him and he told the people. Everybody said pastor this we love you, Pastor this we love you. We have not yet appointed him as a pastor, but he was saying pastor so and. So we love you. Pastor so and so we love you. Why? Because. This person. Was so conscious of being called reverend pastor this if we were really working in the humility of God when you are appointed as pastor. We should be able to remove the title pastor and call you elder or leader because if you are not doing the real pastoral work. But if you take that title, pastor, from somebody. That may that may be the beginning of the person's. Departure. The seat. Of Calvary Rd. is beginning to work on you. Hallelujah. Amen. Adoneja in First Kings chapter 1. Verse 5 Bible says and Adoneja exalted himself saying, I will be king. Adoneja, he exalted himself saying, I will be king. Amen. Are you there? So watch people who are so conscious. Last week you made me managing director. Why are you changing to general manager? What's such a person? The next one. A person who is an unknown factor. You see people you don't. Know much about him? And you are appointing the person as a pastor, as something as this or as that. Watch such a person, because such people do not are very dangerous. Hallelujah, Amen, Amen. Such a person, somebody who don't know him, Babu says. Wherefore of those men which have companied with us all the time, must one be ordained? Amen. Must one be ordained? God is going to ordain somebody who has been with us for some time. Don't marry somebody you don't know. Don't appoint people. You see somebody, he comes to your church? No. You want to make him assistant pastor. He's come from Nigeria with a certificate. You want to make him a pastor? This person has come from GIMPA with certificate. You want to make him administrator of your school. Why you don't know him? Even though he's holding a GIMPA certificate of administration doesn't mean he can be the administrator of your church. The fact that he's holding accounting certificate does not mean he can be the accountant of your check. The Bible says you take somebody who has companied with you, has been with you, stand to your feet, everybody. The next sign is a. Leader who has never been. Criticised Watch. Out for somebody who is green. And has never been criticised before. Such a person is someone you must watch. Amen. When a person has never been criticised especially younger ones, you find out that they think differently. You see till something has happened before. I remember 1 pastor he had never had anyone leaving his church before.
