The world does not recognize the church or its importance as John 31. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth us not because it knew Him not. Amen. Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. The world does not what know us. To know is to recognize. So the world does not recognize the Church. Do you understand? Yeah, the the world does not recognize the church. So if your father is in the world, he's not likely to recognize the church or its importance. He said, oh, the school is important, but the church is not important. The vice chancellor is in the world. Whether he goes to Methodist or Anglican, Lighthouse or Pentecostal, or if he's in the world, he will not know the importance of the church. When he sees the church, all these useless people, they're making noise. They just what they go for all night, every day. They just whatever. They are just praying all the time. They don't instead of working. If the head of state is not in the church, he's not a Christian. He's not born again. He's a member of the world. He says that the world knoweth us not. They look at they don't know what we are. They will they will come up with laws and come to try to clamp down on the church. PNDC Law 221. Have you heard of that law? PNDC Law 221? During the PNDC era they came up with the law. They said all these mushroom churches, we are clamping down on them. They are just instead of working, they go praying. Whatever they came with a Law 221, they should register all churches. So they came up with it and they, they said all churches should register with their members and say if you don't have, I think a certain number of members, they are going to deal with you. And they were trying to take us out. Yeah. So we had to write a lot of people that were members. We didn't have enough members trying to clamp down on all churches that were in classrooms because the world know it. They don't. They don't know what the church is doing. So as you are sitting here, you know you don't. They don't know what we do. They, they can't. They don't even recognize us. Now the church is very, very important in the society. If you take out the Church of this society in Ghana, you'll be surprised. Schools, education, hospitals, morality. Already the morals are low. I mean, as you've been here, don't you think that your morals are improving? Are they improving or not improving? Yeah. I by now you, you'll be, some of you may be totally HIV positive or you would have shared your HIV that you have. True or not true? So the church is very, very important. They don't even recognize all. Look at look at the church schools, Wesley girls and the PIM all church, church schools, even at the school, Anglican school, I think great church school, all church schools. That is OK. My schools are all church schools. What school did you go to? Holy Child Pressect Presbyterian Secondary. Wesley Grammars Methodist Church Presbyterian, whatever Methodist Something the first university. Private university in Ghanaus Central University. From a church, the government with all its money, you have 47 old billion C DS to buy chickens, Guinea fowls. But you you never use the 47 old billion Ghana C DS to buy a land to start a university. But you come up with some cock a bull stories, cock a bull schemes you see, and all kinds of gimmicks. You have 11.3 million euros to buy sanitary pads as a loan, but you never take €11.3 million to buy land from Ghanaian families so that you can get a big land. You see, to make a university for the country because they don't actually care about it. But a church has done it. Methodist University. Central University, Pentecost University, Catholic University, Valley View University, Dominion University, Presbyterian University, All churches, But no, in spite of all the country. And if right now they want to fight, we know other people that have to talk to them. Calm down. Don't do this, don't do this, don't do this, don't do this. You hear them on the radio. They are calling for coup d'etats. They say we need a coup d'etat now. Yeah, because the country's money has lost half of its value. It has become valueless. Wow. Whatever money you have, it has divided into two within some few months. Yeah, fantastic. What do you think? Is it amazing? Is it fantastic? Is it incredible? Yeah, they wouldn't do that. But the church will take its money or even the church will go to the bank and get a loan to do something for the for the nation. But amazing, they don't recognize the church. When they were doing Economic Forum, they didn't call any of us pastors. When they were doing Economic Forum at royal whatever, they didn't call pastors. Like we are like we are like, I mean, some idiots somewhere, prophets and what have you. We don't have sense. Yeah, when we speak, when they when they started their their measures to to stop the city, I told the finance minister, I said that I am telling you this thing is ill advised change it. I told him personally at a meeting they were looking at me. We are now it's become twice. Yeah, because we are, we are nothing. We are not. We are not important. So I was very surprised when I went to Benin and the president of Benin rather decided to give me one of the highest honors in the country and gave me a medal of the order of something, something, something. Yeah, in French. I don't know how to say it in French. Yeah, an official ceremony and presented me and presented me with that honor, like how you have the style of the vaulter. Yeah, he said. I have done a lot of things for humanity and I've come to Benin, I've gone to the North doing this, doing this, doing this. He's a very strong born again Christian, but the world would not recognize me even in my own country. Have you ever heard of me being given an honor in Ghana by any government we have been here for since independence? Have you heard of anybody honoring me? A lighthouse? Yeah. Have you heard of it before? Rather he rather he's a strong Christian. Before the election, he came to see the pastors and told them that he wants to be a president. And they told him they would pray about it. He should go and come. And he came back and he knelt down. They said, OK, they would pray for him. They prayed for him. And two years after that, he became the president. He has a lot of respect for the church pastors. He honored me. Yeah, he said. We are done speaking in French rather well. You, you'll be there. They don't, they don't, they don't know who you are. Occasionally A businessman will recognize. They'll say how many organizations start from Ghana and become multinational in 66 countries. Yeah, and grow occasionally some businessmen, But most of the politicians have not worked before. Many of them have not worked before. They've never built something before, only talking. It's also a job. Anyway, you don't like what I'm saying. I shouldn't say it. It's amazing. It's that song like that. Yeah. So the world as we are here. Even your father may never recognize the effect of the church on you, his child Tikku. You've come from Nigeria to Ghana. You know the things that can happen to you in Ghana, huh? If what are the things that can happen to a young beautiful girl who has been sent to school here that her father may never know what is happening? She can become a a very powerful mattress in Ghana. Mattress. Very powerful. What does it mean to be a mattress? Hallelujah, it means that as she has come to. We are really struggling with the sound. You know your sound is is canceling the good works that we are doing. Are you aware of that? I'm not happy at all with your sound. Are you using too many microphones? What is the problem? Why do we struggle to just hear from one or another microphone? It affects it's like a demon. Say time I bind your power in Jesus name. How many microphones are there? Just use two, turn the rest off and let's just use two microphones. Turn everything off. Only two microphones tell everything of disconnect from the electricity. Only use two microphones, this one and another one. That is why nothing works. Everything you think is something. Look, when I say disconnect, I mean remove the thing from the electricity and remove it. And only one, so that only the two, so that we know do what I'm saying. OK, speak. Hallelujah. Yes, I was saying that she can because because she has come to Ghana from Nigeria, She's come with some people that she knows from school as well as other people that she came with. And then the people that she will meet here so she can become very, very. I mean, they will sleep with her left, right, center. Hallelia, they will sleep with her left, right, center every day, every other day, twice a day. I mean, it will be not. I mean it will not today, just today, today I was asking a lady that I was telling, I was encouraging a lady to marry early and she was like, oh, he's not ready to marry and it's not time yet, but very soon by the grace of God. And I asked her that has your father ever asked you if you are a virgin? 22 He said that she said no. I said, are you saying that? OK, So has he asked you if you've got if you're in school? He said yes, I just if you have eaten, yes. I just if you have read your books, yes, if you are happy, yes, if you are doing well school, yes, but never if you're a virgin said no, that you can't even ask it. It's funny, I said. So is your virginity not as important as all these other things? So they don't want to know. They don't really care about it. By the time they know about your daughter has been slept with back, front, opposite nose, eyes everywhere. Oh, as you have come to the church, is the Church saving you, Tiku? Yes, Bishop, it is. Well, since I came to the church, First Life Church, and I met new people and new friends, it has helped me and listening to the messages and everything that helped me make decisions and cause half people from my life that people that actually introduced me to things like going to the club and parties, it helped me cut up those people from my life. So and every time I go to church, fellowship and everything, there's no time really to say you're going to a club or something. And I was able to surround myself with friends that helped me to be able to separate myself from all those things. No time. Yeah, but her father may never write to me. Isn't it true? Her father may never write to me and say thank you for the influence you had on my daughter? I mean, look at you. Where will you be by now, Cadela? Where would you be by now? Lenny, when I was growing up, I grew up with my cousins who were like Lebanese people. They used to party and all that, so I used to go with them. So if not for Lighthouse and church, I'm sure I would have been on that road. I would have slept with some Lebanese guys and all that. But because of Lighthouse Shopping International, I believe that I was separated from all those things. Wow. By your father may never write to me, isn't it she doesn't even expect her father to write to me, isn't it to say yeah, he may not even know. He doesn't even care. The the the the we live on in the world. They don't even know what we are doing. Then they will even fight the church. Look at Legon. You bring to four buses, 20 to 4 buses to take students at night to the beach to swim in the Do they swim in the water, streaming in the night in the beach. They die. They have sex in the water. And here we are. We have rescued you from going. How many have been for such a beach party before? Raise your hand. Yeah. You've been to beach party before. Why did you go and do stand up? What did you go and do at beach party? What happens? They tell us. We want to know so that our curiosity will be. What did you go and do at the beach party? I was in first year and then it was a day of our matriculation so they said there was an Aquaba beach party and at first I said I wasn't going to go. But then when the room and were bored and then my roommate and I redressed that it was around 9:00 PM and we took a taxi and then we went there when we went. 9:00 PM. Yeah, to the beach. I want you to do that. And it's a nice place, very clean and everything. So you saw ladies sitting, guys sitting on their laps. And then there were some guest artists around and I think Ketche. So they were, they were performing a poet, dancing and smooching. I said, my God, I couldn't handle it. I was, I mean, I knew that I was a little naughty, but that one I hadn't got in there. So, so we, we went to the seaside, we were playing around taking pictures. Then later on when everything was done around 10, getting to 11, the buses that went there were full. So there was no way we could get a car because it's into Pam Pam. So we were walking back and then some guys stopped in that car. They were like, oh, what are we going to say? Oh, that car is full. They said, oh, we shouldn't worry that they'll make space for us. So we satisfied them. And as we were going, they were branching into another sport to say, but you, you already smell tipsy like like you already drunk. So what are you going to drink again? So no, we shouldn't worry. We are safe. So when we got there they stopped and then we started calling their friends from the club like we bought some girls, we bought some girls. I was like, hey. Yes, go on. So when they started calling, then I got down and then my other roommates also got down and then we went with two other friends. So it was six of us. Then one, one of them was sort of like once you get down, she said, Oh no, this time we should relax. So she's with share. Then the guy started coming out and we saw that they were actually serious. So we started running on the road. They started running, We took off our slippers were running and they were calling us. I mean, they sparked the car we were running and then. You were running from boys. They're taking the beach party at midnight and the boys happen now. We have brought some girls. It's like fish. We have brought some red fish from the sea. Come and let us try it. So we got closer to a police barrier and then we were asking as where from. We were like oh, was a student something. So we are just passing by and then they made us pass by. Somebody said there was some, there was some after party and then some of the girls we had been safe from a situation and we were also proposing that we should go there. We were like no, no, no, this one there. So we went a little further and we go a taxi and then we go back to the hostel, so. Have you been going back for beach party? Never even. After you ran away. So you see, some people were not able to run as fast as as she was. You know what happened to them? Yeah. Did your father know that you were at that beach party? At all, at all, 'cause even at home I have a care for you. If I don't go out with my big brother's by 5:00 PM, I should be young mother, as you start calling, no matter, he says somewhere by you come home now. So if I know that my little feather from home, I just turn off my phone when it's getting to 5:00 PM. So when I go home, he's at the dining table. He's waiting for me, very angry. So by the time I'm getting home, I just start making up my mind. OK, You've been insulted, you say. Yeah, stupid, everything. So like I'm OK. So when I get there, you insult me, stupid girl. For this girl responsible. I'm just I'm listening. When he's I say thank you. Then I go. If people knew, they would say church, church, what a blessing you are. But the church, the world does not know us. We are in the midst of them. They don't know who we are, what we do, the great benefits we are. Yeah, in the world, they don't know you. You were going to beach parties too. Yeah, I was level 100 biological science. I actually wanted to go to a dental school, so one afternoon I'm going to study for like 3-4 hours and at the KWAFU, and it was the KWAFU beach party. Usually every year they give a name like they look for the most popular song at that time, so that was called Achisa. So when I came out of the reading room, I saw the buses parked over the end. Back then, one of my main problems was I didn't like seeing a lot of girls at one place. As in like when I see so many girls around I just get too excited. Carry on. So yeah. When I saw the girls like that shorts and I realized I knew a lot of them. I had virtually no male friends really. I even though I went to a boy school, I hardly have male friends. I had few old friends that I can flow with dance with. When I saw them like I realized that once I land over there I will get people to dance with. So I just went to home. My house is very close to the Cafe. I live on campus. So I went to home grabbed a towel, changed my trousers to shorts, wool slippers and socks. Then just got money, rushed off, came to paint, then went to was around the bus left around 6. I mean that was the time like most of the buses are still leaving to Bonjour beach. We came back around past 12 midnight and when you get there, like no matter who you are, once you learned over there's like something just you see so many things and personally I I had a problem with my eyes. So when I see is like you always want to and The funny thing is that. The last of the eyes. The funny thing is that at home you don't really see me to be that type. Right from the scratch. Everybody thought I was a very good boy because I always kept this innocent. Any of my friends, they felt that, oh, this boy, he doesn't do anything but it. Deep down I had my own ideas, as in I won't tell you that I want something, but then the way. What were you doing at the beach park? The dancing is not the way there is a when those people die, where you are standing, I'm standing and then we are dancing. There is too much space between. There's too much space, virtually no space between you and the girl you are dancing with and whatever she's wearing usually like you this this like skinny jeans, they are very tight. So when you wear shorts that's very tight and the girl is also wearing shorts and you are dancing, that is when you really like if you get. So the last of the flesh you. And you Just Dance. You don't even know you'll be dancing and dancing and dancing and dancing till I don't like alcohol and smoking, but then the other girls. So they're dancing just to give you a certain excitement. You things happen like you get into that mood and that's the reason why I went. And nobody knows that I've ever asked my mom. If you told my mom that I've ever been, is she no matter where she would doubt you. She won't believe that I've ever been to a place. Like a place like that. Wow. OK, so your parents don't know what you are doing, but but the church is saving you. Let the church say Amen. The church is powerful, but the world does not know us. Amen. Wow #2. So these are the difficulties of living in this world. We are in the world, but they don't, they don't know us. Oh, a mobile #2. Hatred by the world. There is an unexplained hatred. John 17 verse 14. I have given them by word and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Amen. Hatred. You will be amazed that the church rather will be disliked. Huh. Is it not amazing? And it's a very confusing thing, something which is saving your life rather is not embraced. I mean, your parents should have been sending us offerings, but rather you are the ones who even know what is happening in your life at the church. Your parents should have been saying, you know, I couldn't change my son. The, the, the police couldn't change him. The school couldn't change him. The prefect couldn't change him. The house master couldn't change him. But God has used you to change him. Yes. One day a lady came to the church. She was a Christian, though, you know, her son had grown up throughout his life as a godless boy, went to university, graduated from the university, was doing business, was a businessman, had many girlfriends, and his girlfriend brought him to the church. And I don't know what happened that day. And I preach. I said, if you want to give your life to Jesus, he lifted up his hand. I said, come forward. And he came forward and gave his life to Christ. And from that day he was converted. His mother, who is much, much, much older, came to the chest to see. They say, I want to see the church which has been able to change my son. Oh, yeah. You see, Christians recognize she's a Christian. They recognize the work of the church. So she came and she even joined our church. She said, no, I will join. I will do. Everybody here can be my child or grandchild. I will join it. She was one of the only elderly people in the church for a long time. Yeah, she said the church that could change my son, nothing could change him. The world doesn't. Rather, they seem to imitate the presence of the church. It's amazing. It's amazing, isn't it? Amazing. Yeah. So it's also a bit confusing. You know, they seem to hate you. The world. That's how I know a lot of the politicians are from the world, because if they knew because they are from the world, they they hate the church and they hate pastors. Otherwise none of the governments would have ever seen me as an enemy because I've never been against any of them. The Bible says we should pray for those who are in power. I've never been against any of them. Why? Because they are of the world. They sort of afraid of the church. You see how they attacked Dr. Otabel when they were using his tapes to preach and using it to say whatever. And he said they he said these are my words, do not use my word. They take a tape and play it through a megaphone as a campaign that this person is saying vote for whatever. Free education is not good. And he said they blasted him, insulted him. You know the world hates. That's why I said some of them even call themselves Christian. But actually they are either very worldly or they are not at all believers. When they die, you will know. You can't sort of know when somebody is a Christian, whether a person goes to heaven or hell, that at eternity God will say, but I don't know you. You know that I don't know you. I mean, don't pretend shali. Go to hell, shali. But the hatred of the church and of even men of God reveals to you that is the world, because it says I have given them thy word and the world has hated them. The world hates them. Jesus himself was hated. He said, What evil have I done to you? They said they hated him without a cause. Because what is the name of the spirits that are in them? One is called what the Prince of the power of the air, and what the other spirit, the God of this world, and what else? The Princess of this world, rulers of darkness, they are in them and they stimulate them. This is a bad man, but it's not a bad man. Perhaps the funniest will be when this particular government came into power and I gave a speech and they were sitting there, some of their government members were sitting there. And I said as it comes to power now, we are not saying anything wrong about the verdict. Just do the things you say you do and we will. We are going to pray for you. Do them, do it, it will be great. Build it, do it. We are, we are backing you to do this and achieve it. They thought I was, I mean saying something. I met one of their deputy ministers of finance and he was saying he saw that. I was saying he was very surprised. As I said me, I was rather say I was just reading out your own person's thing. He said really? I said yeah. He said it's very important to meet people. You never know. He said, yeah, you just, you just take the lambast up till today on the Internet. They they will reap all those things. Yeah, we'll watch and see. Whatsoever a man's worth it shall reap it, but we will not be there. Bring the harvest. Something. Bring it. Yeah. So we are all quiet. So if you say a word a. So you become quiet. We are all watching a mobile. It's a movie. You know what is movie? It moves. Wow. So don't be surprised if the world hates you. You understand once you start noticing hatred. What? So, you know, everywhere I have worked, I've not worked at many places. Everywhere. I always hide my identity as a believer, that when I worked at Collaboo, I I I didn't. I never, never know. I'm a Christian or me. And I'm going to church. No, no, I just, I'm doing my house job. I have to go the world. I don't. So I'm born again. Yeah. I've started a church over here. The people hate you. They will, they will take you on. You say you are a pastor, you say on top, we look at the time, it's 730. You're supposed to be this and this and that and that. Just quiet, cool like a mouse. I was there quietly. I used to go quiet. They said these people, they get me. It will not be easy for me. So I was quiet on the ward. I remember many of my colleagues, they will leave. You know, when we do cover, it's supposed to be on cover till 88 to 88 to 8. And some people will live around six. You live around 5:00. So there's nothing going on. You know, you just go. I will stay to 8. I remember I was writing the marriage, the marriage vows. I wrote the medical ward two in the office. I was sitting there. I was writing out the vows that we are using, the vows that you use for your weddings. I wrote the medical ward 2. And I'll do my housemanship. Wow, I said these people so I stay there cooling 8:00 then I take my day humbly. I walk quietly these people hatred and that hatred you see it manifested. That's why a church must have its own building. Very important. Look at us. We are in the university because go away. Come this. Don't do this what the church go away you church this they do. They do now they I'm the Bangor of a church and what the church is doing in the university, you allow people to come and take people's children, young young boys and people, 16 years old, 18 year old children to take them with buses to the beach at 10:00 in the night and come in the morning. That 1 is OK and several children have died. They will not stop it. The church that is preaching morals this and this and that, that one is like clamped up so it doesn't even make sense. So you have to know how to stay in the world. Yeah, but don't be surprised if you are experiencing hatred. All right.
