12- Give Yourself Wholly To Godliness, Labour, Suffering And Maturity

Welcome to track #12 of Give thyself holy. All right number six, Give thyself holy to godliness. First Timothy 4, verse 7. But refuse old wives fables. Exercise thyself rather unto godliness. Amen. Exercise thyself unto godliness. Are you with me? Yeah. So what I'm saying is that Paul said think about these things. Let your mind be on these things. Meditate on these instructions. Give yourself holy to them. And one of the things he said in the run up to that point was that refuse all wise fables, but exercise yourself rather unto godliness. Amen. So you must have an aim to be godly, isn't it? I've given you 523 things you must give yourself to, isn't it? I've given you one. Give yourself to not falling away, isn't it? Give yourself to overcoming evil spirits. Give yourself to marriage, all right, finding a beloved, being trained, becoming a model partner, being happy #4 give yourself to overcoming traditions. Give #5 give yourself to becoming a good pastor. It's a good vision, you see. They are good visions for your life, Amen. And the next one is give yourself to godliness, Amen. Exercise yourself in godliness, all right? And so godliness, the aim to be a godly Christian and somebody who is like God, who is spiritual, Amen. Try to become a spiritual person because we have two types of people, spiritual people and unspiritual people. Griffith psyche, you know, it's like even elders among elders, we have elder psyche. It's like psychedelic elders. They are not really spiritual people, just moving around, moving around, moving around. But they are not spiritual. But Paul said give yourself wholly to the concept of becoming spiritual. Now that we've had the chance to watch and pray, to learn some of these things as an opportunity, as an opportunity to become godly spiritual. Amen. Develop good Christian spiritual characteristics. It's a good vision, you know, this, this, this. This whole session can be considered to be something like career counselling. You know, where your career is being visions are being given to you, what you can give yourself to and towards becoming a godly person. On the other hand, you can give yourself to bodily exercise. Yeah, there are people who are constantly giving themselves to developing us. Nina, What do we call it? Macho men, as I said. Is that also? Yeah. And so First Timothy Chapter 4, let's look at it. It says exercise unto godliness or do godly exercises. Verse 84 Bodily exercise profited little, that godliness is a profitable thing, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. You see, godliness helps you on earth and it helps you in heaven. Yeah, you know, the the, the what one, one thing really amazed me when I was reading this book about why the mighty fall was the fact that the reasons they were given, why the secular companies were getting destroyed, were spiritual reasons, which is humility was one of them. Do you see humility, hubris born of success and the other reasons were equally spiritual like reasons. There are four of them, you see and they, they, it's amazing. That's why the Bible says godliness has, is profitable in this life, having profits on this life and in the one to come. It will help you here on earth. Godliness, even if you take HIV, like in the country, I mean you, the most ordinary people have HIV, but you don't know, you see. So before you realize godliness, what we're teaching about abstaining from fornication has profits on this in this life. Maybe I haven't saved you from HIV because you wouldn't know when somebody has HIV and you can't tell because nowadays also they are giving this drug. So what happens is that with the drug, more people are living longer and they look fresh and OK. So that is also the other thing that more people are living on and having the virus. And so when the person interacts with you, you would not know. You see, in fact, one of our pastors was recently getting married and just a few weeks, couple of weeks before the wedding, you know, she had not told her her beloved that she was HIV positive. Yeah, she didn't tell him. So just about two weeks ago. And then I don't want to go into the details of how he was informed, you know, that this lady is HIV positive. You are aware. And when she was confronted, she said, oh, I went to miracle service and I was healed. So I don't have HIV anymore, you know, so no. And she hasn't done any tests to prove that she's she's either test that she's done shows that she was positive. So people look beautiful, people look nice. So godliness will be saving you from this godliness. It is since we came here. There are things you are learning about life, about life. Like yesterday I was telling you that if you come untrained and unmodified, you will be what offensive? Offensive when you come as you are, just as I am, the most beautiful girl is offensive. And the girls, they, they, they do not look like they can be offensive because they look so beautiful. But you may never know Limited. You know somebody actually from the company, a real company called, you may never know limited. And he went to get a loan and he got a loan too. You may never know or you cannot know Limited. Hey, so godliness is one of the most beneficial things. You know, Godliness has even shown me the keys to prosperity, the keys to leadership which brings wealth. True God, Linda, you will learn it from God. There is no disadvantage in godliness. There is no disadvantage in godliness. Godliness is a very profitable thing in profitable here, profitable there, whereas bodily exercise is profitable very little now because of technology. Even when you are very strong, no one is using Chinese. What do you call it to fight now? And it's not, it's not what we use to protect ourselves these days. You get it. So physical strength is not the technology that is so it's gone out of fashion. It's like an old invention. And then apart from that, people who have spent a lot of time doing this bodybuilding and so on, because of the strenuous exercise that is involved in doing that, as they get a little older, they are unable to continue. So the muscles and so on are converted into some kind of obesity. Yes, And then they also struggle with the weights and it becomes a burden for them. Yeah, it's it's just a very small, I know one body build. I mean, if the struggle with the weight, the fast, the stomach, the big, the body cannot go. It's a big like that. They had so many problems. Yeah, they have by the cardiac. So I mean that's why when we say give yourself to godliness, you are not giving yourself to any disadvantaged situation. You are giving yourself to something that is very helpful. Is that Priscilla, you, you think so? You think so? You must think so. Huh. There must be what? There must be things so wow #7 give yourself wholly to the labour of ministry. First Timothy chapter 4, verse 10. Give yourself wholly to the labor, the hard work. Because you see, there are always people when we are pushing the wardrobe, they stand behind and they just touch it as if they are also pushing. But they are not pushing, they are just touching it. But the vandal says, For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, and it we are laboring in the work of God, OK. And so all of us must give ourselves to the hard work. Don't run away from the hard work. That when I was going to tell you why some people don't get beloved, this is one of them. There must be labor, otherwise there will be no beloved. There must be labour, there must be godliness. Yeah, when you are seen in the midst of the labour, you are always attractive, especially to a spiritual person. When you are seen just in the attendance, you are not attractive. And you are not noticed by the working class of the church, because every church has a working class, the working group, the labouring group, and everybody who is in the working group notices the workers. You always notice them and the workers who work hard and do things that make you tired. If you've never been tired because of church, you've never worked in the church before. If you've not been tired before, that way you say, Charlie, I'm tired, Charlie, I'm tired. I can't wait till like you've never worked before. There must be tiredness, there must be labour, there must be suffering. There must be there must be tiredness. If you've not been tired before, you've never joined the work. Oh, yes, I'm telling you, I want to make it clear I'm not talking about attending church on Sunday. I mean being around when people are. I mean, the working like like to get this place to work to for us to come here. Work is going on before you see. I mean, Tilly used to be sitting here. Tilly, she's working outside. She's doing so many things getting ready for your people to come here. She used to be sitting here. Tilly, Tilly. There must be labor. There must be tiredness. Yeah, this is one of the reasons why people do not have beloveds. They are not in the labor force. Because you will pick your beloved from the working class and brothers. Make sure you choose a worker because look, all that people know what marriage really is. Marriage is really work. So when somebody, when somebody come and say I love you, I want to video, you are belated, will you accept me? What he is actually saying is that I need a servant, I need a worker, I need a cook. But he cannot propose to you with such words, He cannot use such words. I need a servant. I need a Libra. I need a cook. I I need a mattress. My God. So he comes to you and he says I love you. You are also happy. I need a maid. Hey, I need a baby maker. It's like a microwave oil. I need a baby maker, a rice hooker. I need a cleaner. You see when when they are advertising beer, they don't advertise it and say buy the number one causer of accidents by the number one killer destroyer of marriages by the one number one destroyer of the liver by the cause of cirrhosis of the liver by you can have liver failure today. Take some club beer, have liver failure, liver failure for all, early death for all accidents for you, paralysis for you. Here is some club beer. They don't do that. They just want to say it's a good life, rich for great things, rich for great things, smooth power. But what they are saying is early death, hypertension, heart failure, liver failure, cirrhosis of the liver, early accidents, paralysis, diseases, unemployment. My agricultural teachers at Chimoto School, he died of liver cirrhosis from drinking, always drinking, always drinking. Even this Russian President, one of them. No, not this one. I don't know about this one, Boris Yeltsin. And they were always drunk, always drunk vodka. But they will, they will advertise and say smooth garners #1 and they will bring a smiling person. To what? To the labour, to godliness #8 to suffering. Therefore we both labour and suffer. Those of you who don't want to suffer, you are lost. You will suffer in Christ. There's no Christianity without suffering. Don't come and tell me that. Your mother says this, your father says this, your sister says this, therefore this, and that. It's part of Christianity. You will suffer. If you don't want to suffer, you can't be a good Christian. Christianity involves suffering. You feel like having sex and you don't. You cannot have sex suffering, so you have to suffer quietly. You feel like having a boyfriend and you cannot have the boyfriend. You suffer and say, Sally, I'm suffering in Christ. I'm suffering in Christ and I'm enduring in Christ. Hey boy, Sabre. Give thyself to the sufferings that are in Christ. When the time comes and we declare fasting without food or water, you must give yourself to that one too. When it comes to watch and pray in the night, give yourself to that one too. Yes to stay awake whatever type of suffering hard work painfulness. That is why a lot of places we want to send people to nobody wants to go like this guy was saying why you know, I can't I need I need I can't go. You know who and and and the the Lord said to get into it go yourself every day give money. You send this, you do this go yourself. Hey, give thyself. Give thyself holy to him. Oh, give thyself holy, give thyself. Give thyself holy, give thyself holy to give. Give thyself holy. Give your heart, give your mind. Give him your love and infection. Give your money, time and energy. Give. Me everything you have. Give thyself, give thyself holy. Give thyself holy to him. Give thyself holy. Give your best time. Give your youthful man. What do you call it to maturity? Maturity. Mature quickly, bonne bonnin John. Because you, you know everything already, isn't it? You watch pornography, you watch this, you've watched this, everything. There's nothing you don't know. You know everything. So since you have known mature in evil so quickly, you get it. Mature in your thinking in all other areas faster una bonnin John. So start maturing quickly. Why? Because the Bible says let no man despise thy youth. And we know why youths are despised. It is because of their idealistic things that they have that you can see this man is not a mature person. Hunabon in John is not mature. So this talk in a way very idealistic things and so on. I mean look, you cannot have everything you see. So you must learn to grow up quickly. And what I want to say is you, you see people, I mean, some of you know so many bad things that I mean, only married people are supposed to know. But you know, you know everything already. So that is why I'm appealing to you to at your age to also know mature things that a mature person must know about life, about God. Believe when your parent tells you don't marry this person, be mature. And no, as you say you are in love with this person, know that that love that you are in love is a matter of time. You will not be in that love. It will not be there. Mature quickly and accept all these realities that it's going to be left with agape love. Agape love is love is patient, love is kind, love is gentle. Love is long-suffering. Love bears all things, endures all things. That's all things. Even as I'm telling people, don't come untrained into anything and unimproved. You'll see that a lot of people will come unimproved, untrained, just as they are the term, as if you are Billy Graham and just as I am. That's the song Billy Graham used to sing at every crusade, just as I am. So grow up quickly and be mature, all right? And a mature person. One of the things about a mature person, you see when is that the person has a respect for, for fathers and older people and grown up. Why you see when you are young, when you are very small, when you are very small, you, you love your father. When you get older, like about 7-8, nine, you really think your father is great when you are in school? So my daddy, my daddy will beat your daddy. My daddy is bigger than your daddy, huh? My daddy says you buy me a car. My daddy says he will take me to England. My daddy is this my daddy? Is this my daddy 6-7 My daddy is what? My daddy can beat your daddy. I'll tell my daddy. Even your teacher is knowing your teacher. This is how I tell my daddy. Then when you become a teenager, you start to It's not so the old boy is calling you old boy or the old man old man no more. It's like his time is past. And then by the time you get into your 20s, by the time you get into your 20s, it may be modified a little. You may have found out a number of things that your father said were true. Then by the time you get into your 30s and you get mad, you find out that most of the things are true and we're right. And by the time you get to the 40s, you, you have the same type of speaking. You speak, you say when I speak, it reminds me your father. This is exactly what my father, this, what my father used to tell me is what I'm telling you. You see. So you go through a cycle. Now when you mature that wisdom that you have when you are by your 30s and 40s, you can have it even as a teenager and you can have it even in your 20s. You will think in a second, mature as you would think when you are in your 40s, but by the time you are in your 40s, you will be saying exactly what your father, what your father said. Do. My father told me, don't drive anybody's car. Do not drive any. If somebody, if you don't have a car, don't drive. Take a taxi. Don't drive. As I grew up the same thing I said, don't drive somebody's car. If you don't have a car, take a taxi. Just move around. Don't, don't borrow things. Don't borrow things you don't have, You don't have. Don't borrow clothes. Don't borrow people's dresses. Don't borrow dress to go out. You don't have, You don't have. That's all. Don't be borrowing things. But when you hear it, you may not listen to it, but later on you start to deceive. So don't borrow things. Don't do this. Don't borrow money. Don't learn to sleep within what you have. Don't have your finish finish. Don't ask people for money. Later on you will tell people. Don't ask anybody for money. Don't have. Just be quiet. So you grow in the cycle. But what I'm saying is that cycle can take too long and you may have gone through too many Hard Knocks. Then you are now taking something and able to rewind. Now you are saying that Charlie, the guy was right. He was right. He was right so mature quickly so that as a teenager, you know what? You, you, you can honor your father. One of the things that, you know, I feel God bless me with is that older pastors and ministers have been able to have conversations with them where I can see that they, they, they are enjoying befriending me. And the reason is because of a certain certain things maybe that I've also experienced that made me able to speak in a way as if I understand their situation. I cannot mention the name several, but maybe Archbishop is one of them because I'm close to him and I can talk with him. Do you understand? Yeah, but I am not at where he is. Neither have I seen the things he has seen. But it's like you can mature enough to be able to relate with something. Look, you cannot experience everything. Your life is just one life. How many things would you experience before you go out of the world? You want to experience everything before you understand everything. You don't have to experience everything. That's why God touches our heart. Show love to the blind, show love to the handicap, show love to the deaf and dumb. You don't have to be deaf and dumb before you love them. You don't have to go to prison before you say, oh, I haven't prison. I'm going to start with my heart for prison. How how many you want to be blind, deaf, dumb, go to prison, be sick and all before you understand Matthew 25 please, there's too much. Try to understand the things L That's why I say develop in maturity quicker. And the way you see that you develop maturity is when you are able to relate with fathers. Yeah, because the fathers are on a certain level and most children cannot and do not. But those who mature quickly suddenly are not able to relate with their fathers because you only relate. You see, when you come to a certain understanding, then the relationship begins. I remember with my sisters, my little, my small sister, I have four sisters. Well, my sisters I had, I grew up in the house. I had almost not, I mean related. Yeah, my sisters and so on. But I never had much to really say. Or do they like Michael Jackson, this person that different. That's how I even saw all those people. It was because they had posters, music, everything. That was their life. But when they got saved, then I started to relate with them. Then they also became friends to me and I started to relate to them. It was like their understanding came up to accept Christ and then we all understand something. Then we started to relate better. It's the same thing with a father. When you grow up and then you understand the realities of life, you start to say, you start that you are not annoyed with your father even though he has gone for another woman apart from your mother. Yeah, because you you will see in yourself characteristics and improved characteristics which may be the cause why your father has run away from your mother. True or not true, There must be reasons. And you may see at that point when you grow up, I realize that. No, it's not as I thought it was. Yes. So I'm asking you to quickly rise in maturity. And I'll give you the sign of maturity, your ability to relate with fathers. Yeah. And you see that as soon as you start to have a good relationship and you see that it's because you are the one who has come up because he's already up. He is up. You are down. He is up. You are down. That's why you think he's some way. That's why you think he's some way. That's why you think your mother is some way because you are dying. He's way up. If not for anything, he's experienced. And as you rise up in your maturity, maturity, you see that you can. You can relate. Yeah, you can relate. So I want you to grow up fast. All those of you who don't like your fathers and are quarrelling with fathers, every day you have a different opinion because your father has gone for another woman. But if you were your father, you may have gone for 10 more women by now. One day, a certain sister, you know, she was blasting her father out there because her mother blasted her father. That the father is useless. He doesn't bring money. He's useless. He's like this. He's this. He's of no use. Don't know why he's even married. This man. What is the point in all this? And as they were in the house, this, this, this, this, this. One day an uncle came there and the uncle told her, you know there's something you don't know. You know this, you see this city that your mother has been going to work where she goes for, to for the business. Do you know what she goes to do there is that she's a prostitute, He told her directly. Your mother is a prostitute. She travels there for it's not international. It is within the country, but it's a big country. She travels there, you go to service some people, clients and comes back. That's the work she does. And your father, who is being insulted every day, has coolest states. But you don't know. But you don't know that. That's what I'm saying, that you will not know and may never know limited. So calm down, Mister Man, Calm down, Mr. Lady. There must be reasons. There must be maturity. There must be understanding. And they'll not be understanding quickly, faster than it's coming in you. I want to see you grow up quickly. Yeah. Because you people, you know things. I mean, some of you have had sex as though you have been married for 23 years. You know there is something that you don't know. There is no position that you don't know, no style that you don't know, no methodology, no strategy, everything. Even Viagra. You have taken Viagra before, something that other people take. You have taken some before. At your age, some of you have been the subject of gala. You know what is gala? 2 to 1, three to 1. You have done some before. Oh, you know everything. 02 is to 1/3 is to 1 and you are there. You are the subject and you come and you know everything in the world, but when it comes to God maturity, Father understanding you don't you don't know anything. It's like your mind hasn't has not been able to advance and some of you I need to even call you to be to take over our marriage counseling in the second. How do we just call you. You are longer teach you that let me do this this classes. I have to call you to take over the school because Pastor Feminine, I don't know what you know, their, their, their, their children compared to you visiting professor and unmarried visiting professor. There must be maturity, there must be suffering, there must be labour, there must be godliness, there must be good marriage. In Jesus name, faith. Somebody has a revelation, I tell you. I don't understand the ratio, but I'm sure there must be a revelation.
