05. Simon of Cyrene

Welcome to track #5 of the Road to Calvary. Take up your cross and follow Jesus. Amen. Are you ready to take up your cross and follow Him? OK, now on the road. I am now beginning to share with you about something else, and that is when you take up your cross. I'm talking about the road to Calvary. If you like, you can call it Calvary Rd. Amen. So I'm now actually beginning what I want to share with you at the camp, and it is called Calvary Rd. We used to belong to a group called Calvary Rd. Singers. As long as I'm preaching that, I understand the message. That is a very good name. The road to Calvary. When they took up the cross, he walked all the way to Calvary. So that road on which he walked was called the Calvary Road and we were the Calvary Rd. Singers. Is it not amazing? It's a good name and you see these are the names of. Groups years ago but. Now nobody will call it said Calvary Rd. Church, but it's a good, it's a good name for your church, Calvary Rd. Church, Calvary Rd. Church. I'm going to name something in my church, Calvary Rd. Calvary Rd. something because it's a good name. The road to Calvary. Now on that road, when you take up your cross and you start to walk, by the time you are dead, you will see certain things on the way. Do you understand what I'm saying? Yeah, you will see certain things. That will bring out the will of God for your life and if you are not on that road, you will never see those things and. One number one, there are about 10 of them. I hope we will finish all the 10 before the camp is over. But #1 you are going to meet. You are going to meet and find the need. Are you there of someone to help you? Hallelujah, Amen. Hallelujah. Are you there? You are going to find the need for someone to help you. Matthew 27 verse 27 Matthew 27 you are going to find. The need of someone. The need for someone. To help you if you start to walk on the right. Way. The Calvary Rd. I'm preaching about Calvary Rd. Actually the same should have been Calvary Rd. Sometimes as you are preaching, you get to know what you are preaching about. Matthew 27 verse 27. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers, And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet rope. And when they had plotted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and they Reed in his right hand. And they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail King of the Jews. And they spit on him, and took the Reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him. They took the roof and mocked him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and him they compelled to bear his cross. And when they were coming to a place called. Golgotha. That is to say, a place of the skull. They gave him vinegar, and to drink mixed with gold. When he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. Amen. On the way. Of the Calvary Rd. you will find out that you cannot carry your cross alone and you are going to need the help of Simon or Styrene to help you. In your ministry, I. Like it? I like it. Amen. Simon of Cyrene represents somebody who is going to help you to walk the way that God has ordained for you to walk. And without this Simon of Cyrene, you probably will not make it to the end of your ministry. The Road of the Cross will lead you to see and to meet the person and the people who have to help you. Listen, all of us must learn something from this on this. Road maybe on another Rd. There will be no need of Simon, even if you saw Simon of Sirene there. You pass by him. And he said, excuse me, then you'll be moving, but on this route. Simon of Sirene. Has to help you otherwise you can't make it. But on another Rd. when you see him, you just Oh yeah, how you see you. And you go. But if you start to walk on the right way, the Calvary Rd. I said the Calvary Rd. somebody's got to help you. You can't make it on your own. You can't make it on your own somebody. Has to help you. That is the secret of true ministry. Somebody has to help you to make it in the ministry. God will use somebody. God will raise up somebody. You. Need to understand on this sacrificial Rd. that the way the ministry is, there has to be help, there has to be help. You need help, you need help. I said you need help. You will never. Be good enough without help. Look, when Jesus needed help, he found help by fellowshipping with some of the great names you find in the Bible, quoting from them many times. And finally two of them appeared to him, talking to him, Elijah and Moses. Ladies and gentlemen, everybody needs help to make it in the ministry and if you do not get the help, you do not accomplish what you are supposed to accomplish. Period, period, period, period. This road is a road of humility. You see, I never knew how much Jesus needed somebody to help him to carry because he was almost dead. When he was going to the cross, he was almost dead. He was almost dead. He had been bitten and bitten and bitten and bitten. He needed somebody to help. Brother, I don't know who you are. I don't know how gifted you are. You're going to need a lot of help. For you to succeed and for you to do well. And that is something that you need to know that I need. I need help. Look, you. Need help to read the Bible? Look. Let me tell you something if you don't. Get the help. Most of the Bible will remain a dark spot in your mind, a black out spot. Why did God give apostles, pastors and teachers? I. I was preaching in somebody's chat recently. I said, look, you need a book. A tape and a Bible. Never read your Bible alone. If you could have read your Bible all alone, God will not have sent apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers. Most of us read our Bibles alone and our messages are very dry. They are killer messages. They are messages that drive members from the church. People are listening all They cannot understand what we are saying. People don't know what we are talking about and they just say Amen. When you shout and you are sweating and you feel that you are preaching, that doesn't mean you are preaching a good message. That means a stadium. No, no. Number one, you need somebody to help you read the Bible. You need it. I'm telling you me almost everything I'm preaching. I learned it through rejoiner, almost 100% of what I'm preaching now. But you may not know because if I give you the book, you will not see where it is or how it is related because I am studying. You see, I read people's. Book I I need it. I'm telling you almost 100% of all that I'm talking about here. I learnt it through and from Regina. That's why I will not lie to you most I'm not shy at all of that. Oh me. As for me, I. Kenneth Hagin. I swallowed his things and I teach what he teaches. Some of my sermons are exactly the same, and I don't even change the name of the sermon. I. Don't even bother to change the name. This is a good message, so why should I change the message? It's a good message. Why should I change the message? You I say you need somebody to help you to read the. Bible. Look, most of us don't you see, since we came here, how many are surprised about suffering and sacrifice? I've been reading it to you. These are things in your own Bible. But when you get a chance to have somebody talk to you about it, you'll be surprised. And that is why I would say that don't walk on the Calvary Rd. without help. Don't read the Bible without help. Read it with help. Read it with a book. Read it with a tape. Read it with a book. Read it with a tape. Everybody say a book, a tape, and a Bible. Say a book, a tape, and a Bible. Amen. You need a book, you need a tape, and you need a Bible. Don't read it alone, and don't try to preach your own messages in that sense. This is all about the way our thoughts go. It doesn't form a good message Zazo. Verily, verily, I say unto you, look every great. Man of God is a good preacher, whether he has signs and wonders, miracles, days, that whatever he is always a good preacher. Anybody you know who is a great man of God, he's a good preacher is the characteristic of every great man of God. He knows how to preach well and he has some revelation of the Bible. He's the standard and you need it. And you see, what I've come to see is that. Like for instance I. Have written books or even I'm holding a camp now. I can see that. You see, there's a certain, what do I call it? I will call it a, if you like, partial reception. People receive parts and they don't know that they are supposed to take it more seriously and more literally than they are taking it. They are supposed to take it very literally. Sometimes I open a book that. Rick Joyner wrote and I read out to people and say, is it the same book? But is it the book we have all have one, but only that. I'm taking it seriously. I read the vision that the guy is having and he's talking to Father. I believe it. I don't see why I shouldn't believe it. Why shouldn't I believe if I read John's revelation, he saw the Lord and all that. Why should I not read John if he also saw the Lord and the Lord and what he's saying is not contrary to scripture? I believe it and I swallow it fully if I could swallow the into my mouth, swallow it. But most of you just look at it. Oh well, or your good or your good message. OK, so I have one and that's it. And that is why you are hollow. That's why you are not making it on the Calvary. Road. You need, I'm telling you, let me tell you this account. I'm not yet to give you theories. I'm going to tell practical things. If I have to say, don't read your Bible without a book. I never have my Bible without a book. Pastor Kakra, you saw where my Bible was. Did you see any book there by it? You saw other books there by the Bible? The Bible is open. The books are open posted. And the books and the parchments, it's not just a book. There's a book and then there's the parchments and the Bible. Together they go. And my tape recorder. Do you see my tape recorder by my ear where I see? There's a small tape there and there's books here and then there's a Bible I don't go with, or it's a formula. I'm telling you, Formula One. That's Formula One. We are going to have it. You are meeting Simon of Styrene to help you to read the Bible. Some of us see the way our minds are sometimes when somebody preaches, don't you? Aren't you surprised? How does he think of it like that? How many have thought that before that? How does his mind go in that way? That is what God is trying to give to you. It doesn't come naturally. The person has also had it somewhere and it has passed through some processes and he has children and then he's coming out. So you too, take it seriously. Take it, take it. God is trying to help you to make it to the cross. Jesus had so many prophecies to fulfill. He had to lie on the thing. He had to save my father. My God, my God, I had that person, He had to say I test. All the people had to laugh and he was fulfilling some 22 If he didn't go there, he needed somebody to lift him to be sure that he gets there. Some of you there are people are supposed to preach to churches. You're supposed to start ministry. You're supposed to be involved in things you are supposed to do. You will never do it with your own thinking. I'm telling you, you are not good enough and nobody is good enough. God has. Designed it such that God has designed this such that you always need somebody. He's humbling you and he's humbling me. I see, no matter how powerful, I have to tell you that I've learnt almost 100% of what I'm saying. I learnt it from rejoiner. That's it. I said that's it. So you see immediately that. Apart all the apart is second hand. And I'm blessed. Amen. Are you? Not being blessed with my second hand message. It's the same for you. Yeah, you need a ministry, ministry ministry if you want to preach. Some of you the reason you don't have sermons for Sundays, you don't have your sermons are not good for they are good. For convention, but it's not good for Sunday. It's not practical. Do you understand you have convention message but don't have Sunday service message? Or you have. Crusade sermons every day is. A crusade in your church? Some of us are. Messaging every day, when you are preaching, you are sweating and shouting. It's not everyday humor because now the people have seen you sweating. So they know when we reach here, when we reach here, when we reach here, the sweating will stand, the shouting will come, he will remove his coat. Even when they are. Preaching something that doesn't mean shouting and sweating. The shouting has come. The sweating has come. The coat removing has come. The water drinking has come. You don't have messages. You don't have stand day messages. I learned how to preach stand day message from Fred Price. Oh yeah, I've not been to church before church services, I never attended. Once in a while I visit action. But church for church. I learned how to preach it from Fred Price watching video. One day my father came. I was watching the video. My father came and said his son, he was going out and he saw me sitting there. He said, do you think you'll become a priest by watching videos? If you want to be a priest, go to Holy Trinity College. You will not become a priest by watching videos. But you see, he was prophesying. I was becoming a priest by watching videos. I was actually learning how to pastor a check by watching a video. That's why I walk around when I think God. I learned it from friends. Who doesn't stay in one place when it's always working? That's why I also don't know how to stay behind a pulpit. Because my father, who I learned it from, he walks around. That's also what I do. Because I don't know how to. Do it. That's. Why I do what I've seen somebody doing. And it's working for me. Yeah. I see what I do, what I see my father do. That's what I learned. And I'm not sad. Crusade preaching. I've got some powerful messages. Take off message. If you hear it on the radio, you'll be born again. I learnt it from Jimmy Swaggart. Oh yeah, I had his videos, 5 or 6 of them, 30 minutes each. When his gibbies, I will be crying every time I'm crying. I don't easily cry, but preaching, I choose some of the phrases. I use them when I'm preaching in the universities. The sun is cut, the sun is setting. Come. Simon of Cyrene came to help me on the Carvery Rd. Simon of Cyrene came to help me. He came to help me, came to help me. I let the photocopy. A lot of my things are copies. Photocopy direct I give you and you are also receiving it. You to make photocopies and then be selling them in your system. You try to invite the new thing. I don't see the problem. When Simon or Sirene came to help you, did Jesus say no? No, no, no. I'm taking off my clothes. I'm the one I'm supposed to say. Nobody to help? No. If you don't help me, I can't make it. I can't make it. I can't preach. I can't read my. Bible. I don't understand it. I have to be honest. I don't understand it. Yeah, you need somebody. You need somebody. The Bible says let each esteem the other better than themselves. You must always esteem the neighbor. Even the juniors in your church see them as greater than you. Tell yourself at their age they are better than how I was at their age, therefore they are better than me. Tell yourself these are purer people. These are with better motives. They are nicer. God profess such people. Think in that way that there's a better person by me, there's a better person preaching. There's a better person. Doing something Simons of Serene was. Fresh. Was fresh with energy, was coming to help, but you don't want the help to. Before you realize you would die on the floor and you will never get to the cross. You will never fulfill what you are supposed to fulfill. You will never accomplish all the things that God according to accomplish. He would have died on the way. He would have died on the beat him, put cars, beat him on the back. 39 start with nails. Will you not be dead? How many people will survive? You are just about to die before the maid. You you accomplished. You are just about to afford. Now they are helping you. You say no, no, no. You see, I I want an original. What do you call it? I want it to be a certain name. I'm evangelist. I'm something healing, whatever. Hey, you've not understood the help that God was trying to give to you. Actually, even as basic as reading the Bible, the Bible, for it to open, you need somebody, the Bible to start to be unveiled. For this book to. The Bible to be unveiled when you talk about the Tabernacle and how do you understand what's the Tabernacle? Several Simon of Sirens have to help me to understand disturbing at all. I don't have any other. I listened to Benihina, even his Simon of Sirene could not help me enough at that. People had to help before the thing starts to make sense. The Bible is open, it's a hidden thing and you need somebody to help you to read your Bible. I'm telling you, don't let me lie to you. You need it. You need it, you see. Some of us, we are complicated, so when our messages come, people don't understand it, but they don't tell you and don't be. Fooled don't be fooled when they come and say I was blessed because every message there will always be somebody who will say I was blessed but that thing there never when the message says oh just tell yourself non. Scoring generally, people have to begin to understand your messages. I mean it sometimes when people are making arguments, you can see from the way they are thinking that their thoughts are not moving in an easy. You see, it's not easy to communicate sometimes a difficult thing, but as God helps you through Simon of Cyrene, you will begin to understand the Bible. You need to have somebody to teach you how to preach. We don't know how to preach. Like I was saying, every great man of God is a good preacher. There's one characteristic. It's not that some some have healing, some have administration of the Spirit, some do this worship song, this different, but one line that goes to all of them are good preachers. Bishop Duncan Williams, a good preacher. Reverend Eastwood is a good preacher. Jamie Swaggart is a good preacher. Fred Price. All of them. They are good preachers. They can preach nicely. Good messages, powerful. Otado is a good preacher. They are all good preachers. So you need to become a good preacher and to become a good preacher, somebody will allow me to help you. I promise you to get to the place of destiny across, somebody will have to help you. And I'm telling you, listen, even if it's not your nature, it can become your nature. It can become your nature. That's what I've seen because I've seen a lot of people that have learnt from. That's not my nature, but I've learnt it. Oh, yeah. Oh yeah. I will force once I see that I'm supposed to learn this thing. I will force myself to learn it. And you know how I learn it? Photocopy. Does it photocopy the preaching? That's why I'm here preaching, because I believe in what I'm saying. I know that somebody has to help me to preach. Well, look, if you give me unbelievers now to evangelize, I'm not boasting, but I can preach to a point for you to be saved. Yeah, I can preach you. You will be saved. You must be saved. And you know, don't rule yourself. But I remember when I first became was trying to learn how to preach. And so when I saw Bishop Danka Will and I saw him preach, when he preached for you to be saved, then you will also be saved because the way he preaches his salvation message very wild. Remember this Commonwealth? Hall he came here is the way he raised his three fingers like this. And talked about how. He was going from here to here, gondola, Pussycat, this and that and that. And I mean he would talk in a way. Look, if you are not saved, you will be saved. At that time. So when I look at it and say Lord, I'm not. Like that. I haven't been to gondola, I haven't been to Pussycat, I haven't been to smoke weed. I haven't broken my fingers. I haven't because he put his fingers in a candle and bent them. And I don't have such a testimony. And you see, this is what the devil keeps you away from. They said that you say you are not like that. Your life is different. You can't give those examples. You are different than the life of the devil. You. Also have your own look at me. I haven't done most of those things before, but I have this so I can be salvation helping the hell. You will be. Safe. If I'm not safe, you at least, even if you don't want to be safe, you come forward and pretend to pray the prayer of salvation, and then afterwards you can go to hell. You learn it. Even if it's not your style, force yourself. I better you get it. Force yourself. Copy it. I said copy it. You are too dull. You need life in your ministry and the dullness comes away by learning something from where there is life. I'm telling you something. Look, I have heard preachers sometimes you listen to somebody preaching, you know why his ministry is not working, you know almost preaching, you listen to the preservation, you know you need to be a determined ship to come to a grass that is very. Strong the grass, you see that? Chewing, chewing, chewing, chewing. Nobody can chew it. You need to be a. Very determined. Ship. We are so different in the way we think, but I sense within me that if you can break out of a certain way and learn a New thought party. I remember 1 brother, he, his sermons were so complex. People didn't understand it. People didn't understand. I said, and I said, listen, just take this tip and just learn that message and preach it. Then he started to do that and the complex, I think, oh, look at that, we don't understand it. We don't understand it. Then he started to preach better. Then at that point I began to get people would now be telling me we're really blessed with this message because he had now listened and received the help. Simon, Simon, Simon. Healing. You need somebody to help you to. Become a healing minister without somebody. You can't. You need somebody to watch. I decided to watch Benny Hill. I'll go and watch him. I don't understand this message, but I watch it. Oh, yeah, Because the Lord said to me, if you want to learn it, because I told the Lord, how can I, how can I become a healing minister? I want to have miracles. And the Lord said, in fact, I told the Lord, I want to follow woman. And the Lord said, you cannot follow. We have to follow Benny Hinn. We cannot. He's the one that you have to follow. So I put on the table, I said, Lord, I don't understand. You keep listening. One day, you understand. I've listened. For. Years. Then suddenly I began to understand. Even when I put him on my wife and say he doesn't understand that. So As for me, I enjoy it because I have started to receive. But when you don't, when you don't, you are not blessed by somebody, you don't receive it. When you start to receive, you begin to be blessed. Today, by the grace of God, I've seen the dead raised. I've stood on stage where somebody's standing here saying now this dog was dead, he's alive. I've seen it before. Have you seen some before? I've seen it. I've stood on a stage where from here to here, only wheelchairs. Pastor Richard, you remember you were there. I can show you the video. Wheelchairs, wheelchair. As I was walking, I said, am I being, you know, what am I doing here? I've been on stage where I see because I was blind. I can see even just recently South Africa, there was like girls, I can see, I can see, I can see. That's what you I can see. Have you seen some before? Keep watching. You will continue watching unless you decide to take some say. Simon, please come and help me listen. I'm going. To die here. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord. He will lift you up. God will take you higher if you can learn. We don't move forward. We don't even have new messages. To get a new message, you need Simon. Someone will help you get a new message. He'll help you get enough messages. So you are. Dead ministration of the Spirit. You need Simon. I said ministration of the spirit. How to minister the spirit? How? How to minister the sweetest Not miracle, just ministration of the spirit. You need Simon. You need to watch. Simon for a long time, since I'm a whole year, so I'm dying. You need it. Some of us, we don't know how to minister the Spirit. We can only teach. We can only preach. But you need. To do how to minister the Spirit, you need to know how to breathe on people, because Jesus breathed on people. You need to have to know lay hands on people because Jesus laid hands on. You need to have to know how to anoint people. You need to have anoint. I've had anointing services in Malaysia where the the the Malaysians were lying all over the floor. I've had an anointing service in South Africa. I've had anointing service in Nigeria. I've had anointing service in different places. You need to know how to minister if you need to minister the spirit. If you don't minister the Spirit, it's not because you don't know how to do it, but because you decided not to do it. If I preach and I sit down without praying for anybody or without doing it, it's not because I don't know how to do it, but because I've decided I won't do it today. But not because I if I don't pray for the sis because I've decided I will not pray for the sake. There are times you shouldn't pray for the sake. If you pray for the sake, nobody will be healed. And there are times you shouldn't minister the Spirit. There are times you should just preach and sit down. But you shouldn't just preach and sit down. Because you don't know how to do. God. These signs are follow them, but they shall cast out them. They shall. Healing is a part of our ministry. Ministration of the power of God is part of the ministry no matter what you think or say and. Because when we see, we just look at our farm. But we don't want him to help. You need Simon to help you to build a big church. Somebody has to help you to build a big church. You need someone to help you read your Bible, to help you to pray, preach, to help you to heal the sick, to help you to minister the Spirit, to help you to build a church #5 to build a church. To grow, to grow. Now I have a book called. The mega church. If you. Read that book. I see most people don't read it and. When they even read it. They don't believe that I must fasten. My eyes on this page and get something out of it. I can see it and I know it. I know. People say I would have read it, but if they were to read it, listen, when I wanted to have a big church, you know who I got to help me? Yongicho. Oh, yeah. I decided became interested in him. I went to Korea. I just went to see it just to see. Just to look. Just to see, we listened to his tapes. I've never had a pastor talking like that. He used to talk about his members, church members, the pastor. I've never had anybody talking like that. I had a whole. Big pack of about 24, I don't know how many 24 tapes or 36 tapes of Yomi too, when he preached in Australia and other places and I, I. Was using those tapes to learn every. Aspect of the ministry, there is somebody, there is something that you can't do it on your own. You just have to accept that I can't do it on mine. So where do I get the help to start with? And nobody has time to sit down with you and talk to you for hours. You have to learn from books, you have to learn from tapes. If you don't want to learn from books and tapes, some people say can I see you can I see you can If you see me for 2 minutes, how much can be said If the person has taken his time to write you to take your time and read it. The person has taken his time to put it in detail there, learn it, and believe that it's the simplest thing that you have to look at to go to the next. Level the next step of ministry. The next step. There will always be somebody who helps you see where you are in ministry. There's the next step. Amen. Somebody will help you to get there. Yeah. To enter into full time. Ministries somebody will help you to get there to. Go to the next level. Somebody will help you to help you in your marriage. This is some of us are struggling our marriages, man of God. As a man of God, nobody knows the troubles you are seeing in the house. How many know that some pastors have a lot of trouble in the house? Raise your hand. It's not you, but you know of somebody. Raise your hand if you know of people. Yeah. We will never admit that it's us, but at least we know of people in the world. Simons of Sirene should come to the IT should come to your house. Now one pastor. His he divorced his wife and he told me, he said sometimes I look at my wife, you know, and then you see her on the stage saying things and he said look at her. And he said sometimes he look at her and say that what the person is this, she's a liar. She's deceiving the whole church and nobody knows. Oh yeah, that's what he told me, that nobody knows because she sounds so sweet. So talking nicely, saying this thing I said, but nobody knows. Look at that. Then he said that. Then he put his hand by the chair. She tied my hands. I couldn't move. I couldn't do anything. One pastor was sitting with him in his car. He was crying. Crying. He said, well, I want to have. Sex with my wife. Look at her. She would have to. Want to have sex with me? Because he had gone to impregnate one of his ashes. I said I want to have sex with her. She because the person doesn't want. Then eventually she'll go and lie down and she says OK, come. OK, come. I. Will never forget that day. It was a. Rainy day. The rainbow was so strong and I was sitting in the car and here was my friend sitting by me. So sad. He had been forced come have sex with his own wife. To have sex you need negotiation, You need a security Security Council meeting. You need. Advise you. Committees you need. Resolutions you need debate. Hey, if there was just somebody was to. Speak into your life or you were to be a bit open and say you know this is the problem before you realize you are. You are not able to carry the cross again if you don't accept, you see, fix some, you know, I mean, because if you think about it, Jesus said take up your cross and follow me. No, Jesus, we should take up a cross and follow you and Simon of Sirene because Simon of Sirene also helped you to carry the cross. And you see, that was a prophetic message that somebody will help you even in the highest calling, that no matter how high your calling is, no matter how high your calling is, I said no matter how high, no matter how high or. Calling somebody will help you. Somebody will help you. Somebody has to help you. Some of the marriage situations, I said there is a referee, Huh. Oh, you don't understand what I'm talking about. Good for you, Marriage. And pastors Ish Mercy and you know, we love to look good. We love to look good and to show that everything is OK, but everything is not OK. The house is hell and especially you see if you are a pastor and you really want to serve the Lord. Let me ask. You a question if somebody gets divorced, who do you usually think is the fault with the cost? Huh. Man or woman? Raise your hand if you say man normally when you hear of it. I mean, the first thing our case is, is who the man and then who says the woman? Hey, all that area says the woman. That's fashion man. Usually you think about the man, the man has done what he has. What has the man done? Usually what do they think about the man is be the wife or flirting around, isn't it? It's a natural no chop money, it's a natural, but you will be. Surprised to find out, especially if you go into marriages around the ministry, that it's not what you think, but it's the opposite. You'll be surprised.
